For Claudine, Paris was meant to be a place of renewal, a city of light, laughter, and quiet adventures with her daughter, Elise. But beneath its elegance, the city shifts. Shadows stretch longer, and every glance feels like a secret waiting to be uncovered. Year after year, Claudine returns, drawn by a feeling she cannot name, haunted by reflections that don’t quite belong and whispers that follow her through narrow streets. What begins as remembrance deepens into something far more consuming, where the border between past and present slowly dissolves. Whispers from the City of Light is a haunting psychological novel about a mother’s devotion, the weight of memory, and the secrets Paris holds in its silence
I grew up in France and moved to the United States when I was 26 years old. I have been teaching French for ten years. I have a background in French Literature and was always an avid reader; I especially enjoy thriller books. Fueled by a lifelong love for storytelling, I decided to create short stories that will be suspenseful and intriguing for readers who love psychological fiction and devoted my weekends crafting them. I have published four books: "The Mind's Appetite", "The Neighbor She Never Knew", "Whispers From The City of Light" and "La Dame Blanche" (The White Lady). There will be more to come!
