He's denying himself the one thing he craves his best friend's son.Older, battle-scarred alpha Gabriel has shunned the mating run for years—because the only mate his wolf wants is the one he can never have.
Asher. His best friend's son.
Gabriel made a promise to protect him. Not claim him. But when Asher tracks him down during the full moon and demands answers, Gabriel's iron control shatters like glass.
The boy he's tried so hard to keep safe isn't a boy anymore.
Gabriel thought he was strong enough to deny himself.
He was wrong.
OFF LIMITS is a high-heat knotty wolf shifter/human best friend's son age gap romance with consent miscommunication and a HEA. It's part of the Mating Run series, but can be read as a dark, spicy standalone.

Tropes/content: Best friends son Dads best friend Age gap (Asher is 21, Gabriel is 43) Werewolf + human Mating run Caught him jerking off and heard his own name Dub-con/potential non-con from both sides Cum as lube No worry about what dad thinks since he's dead 😂🤷♀️ Mine mine mine Possessiveness Brattiness Strict roles Daddy (in bonus epilogue) Face fuck+deep throat (in bonus epilogue) Pining Marking Biting Mates Knotting someone for the first time
Warnings: Dead dad No prep or lube Asher used to be a rent boy and discusses it a bit. But you dont see him with anyone else during the course of the book
Not much I can say. It's a bit annoying that Gabriel just took and never asked. That's slightly non consensual if not rape lol. These two need communication skills ;)
MM 🌶️🌶️ Paranormal Werewolves Age gap Dad’s best friend
Asher’s ran from home three years ago when he turned 18. His dad just died and he is returning to claim the cabin. He has wanted his dad’s best friend for years. But he never expected to see him again. But here his is, on his property, in his dad’s off limits shed. Turns out it is a secure place for Gabriel to spend the full moons. This full moon his wolf, who claimed Asher years ago, finally gets to actually claim him properly.
I didn’t enjoy this as much as Kept, though I did find it kind of a repetition of that. I think I’ll probably drop the series, as I can’t see myself being interested in reading the same plot with some variations 4 more times.
And a dead dad in “dad’s best friend” trope is kinda a cop out. It’s too low stakes when you don’t have to worry about the fallout or carrying on in secret, because the dad is dead.
Meh. The title/ description made it sounds like this was way more 'off limits' than anything. There aren't any real issues- I hate the miscommunication trope.
