A Train Ticket to Christmas: A Holiday Journey of Belief, Wonder, and Small-Town Magic

Rate this book
There was something unusual about Reindeer Falls long before Bud Archer ever arrived there. December, 1952.

When twelve-year-old Bud Archer and his little sister Sally board a train bound for their Uncle Henry’s small-town bookstore, they expect nothing more than a snowy Christmas journey.

But somewhere beyond the falling snow and quiet railway towns, the trip begins to feel unlike anything Bud can explain.

A man in a red scarf appears whenever the children need him most.

Strange moments unfold deep into the winter night.

And waiting beyond the tracks is a town where Christmas seems untouched by time.

As the miles disappear beneath the wheels, Bud slowly begins to realize that some places hold more than memories.

They hold magic.

Step aboard and discover the journey readers will never forget.

A Train Ticket to Christmas sounds like a warm and magical holiday adventure. I like the 1952 setting and the idea of Bud and Sally discovering that their simple train journey is leading them somewhere far more mysterious than expected. The man in the red scarf and the unusual events along the way add a nice sense of wonder. It sounds like a cozy Christmas read for anyone who enjoys small-town magic, family adventures, and a little mystery.

A wonderful Holiday book!

I know this book was written for “kids”…..but, this old lady just loved it. It is all about “believing” in the magic. Never lose your belief in the wonder and the magic.
This is definitely a “curl up in a comfy chair, a cup of tea (or cocoa), and enjoy!” Kinda book.
