Boston Blues #3

Stealing You

Rate this book
Beck Daines has everything he needs—at least that’s what he wants everyone to believe. As the starting first baseman for the Blues, he has his dream job, amazing friends, and while he’s a romantic at heart— watching his friends find the love they deserve is more than enough.
However, love for himself is an idea he’s benched for good. After his mother was diagnosed with Early-OnSet Alzheimer’s Beck stopped planning a future that could fall apart. No feelings and no forever loves to potentially forget, zero exceptions.
That is, until Jensen James. The tattoo artist feels like lightning in a bottle and Beck can’t help but reach for her spark. Jensen may play as if she doesn’t feel the jolts herself but when she needs a place to stay, Beck’s is the only option.
The living arrangement is temporary—just as their attraction to each other has to be. Beck doesn’t want love, and Jensen doesn’t want a relationship to control her, so why not let the lightning strike?
The spark will surely fizzle… but once it hits, letting go might be impossible.

ARC Review: Yes
I received an advance copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Standalone or Series: Book 3 in a series of interconnected standalones (Boston Blues)
This book can be read as a standalone, but I HIGHLY recommend reading them in order, as the other characters from the previous books play a heavy role in this story. Found family is an important aspect of this series, and the knowledge of the other characters will help you understand the relationships better.

POV: 1st Person / Dual POV
Genre: Sports Romance
Vibe: Slow-burn tension, emotional
Pacing: medium
Third-Act Breakup: No
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️
Cliffhanger: No
Reread-worthy: Yes

Tropes:

✵ She Falls First
✵ Found Family
✵ Roommates with Benefits

Favorite Quote: “I’m terrified I might regret losing you.”

Synopsis: The Boston Blues are back! Beck Daines was living his best life with his dream job and a great group of friends, until it all came crashing down. When his mom is diagnosed with Alzheimers, Beck decides to stop planning for a future in fear that he would eventually develop it too. That is, until Jensen James enters his life. Jensen is the black cat tattoo artist that he can’t help but tease and flirt with daily. When Jensen suddenly needs a place to stay with no notice, Beck steps in and offers her his spare bedroom under one condition: he does not do long-term relationships. But resisting temptation is more difficult than either of them thought, and a roommates with benefits arrangement is too hard to pass up. As their connection deepens, so do their feelings, but both are too stubborn to risk starting something more permanent. With their conflicting emotions, Beck and Jensen find themselves at a crossroad, forced to decide whether crossing the line is worth the risk.

My Thoughts: I absolutely love the entire gang of the Boston Blues! I am obsessed with this series, and this was another grand slam (pun intended) in my books!I loved that Jensen was the black cat, and that her inner soft side continued to show as she spent more and more time with Beck. Beck’s story was so well developed, and I was so sad for him and his family. It was heartbreaking watching his entire family navigate this new reality, and I really understood his emotions and reasoning for not wanting a long-term relationship. Jensen had so many obstacles thrown at her, and she continued to keep her head up and keep moving. I do wish her story was a little more developed so that we could see a bit more into why she also refused to do another long-term relationship, but we did get enough base level details to know that there was something in her past. I loved seeing her character grow and continue to succeed in her career! Jensen and Beck also had the best witty banter ever! I was laughing out loud as the two of them continued to pretend to not be able to stand each other. Their flirty scenes were just *chef’s kiss*!

The story did have some heavy topics, and I believe they were written with the utmost of care and respect. Make sure to check the content warnings!

I highly recommend this one and I cannot wait for the next book!!

BECK, SLUTTY LITTLE GLASSES, DAINES, yallllll🧎‍♀️That’s the review. I purposely waited to read this ARC on the first day of the year because I knew it was going to be a straight 5 star and I wanted to start the year off right. AND BOY DID I. This book is perfect.

Beck and Jensen are everything. The banter, their friendship, the flirting, everything. They make you believe in soulmates because them together is way better than them being apart. I love this series because I know I’ll get the found family aspect, plus I get to see all my favorite characters. This is a series where I truly love all characters. I don’t want to spoil anything, BUT BECK IS HOT. No questions 🥵

I can’t pick a favorite, but Jensen might be it. I just love her energy and everything about her.

𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:
“I love it when you flirt with me.”

“You asked me in the office how many memories I planned on stealing, baby, I want to steal all of them.”

Another incredible edition to the Boston Blues Series!

I've been anxiously awaiting Becks story and he lived up to every expectation I'd set. Mollie has a way of writing characters that you fall in love with almost immediately and these two are just another example of that.

Beck & Jensen are opposites in most things, but the way they compliment one another was like two puzzle pieces fitting together. I loved the banter between them. It was fun, flirty and the friendship between them was special.

Gahhh this book made me cry, giggle and kick my feet. Honestly it's the usual reaction to anything Mollie writes.

Thank you so much Mollie for the ARC!!

The way I loved these two SO MUCH. They were perfect for each other and I couldn’t have asked for a better story for the two of them.

The black cat x golden retriever trope was perfect for them. Jensen is one of my favorite FMCs that Mollie has written and Beck complimented her so well. I loved the push and pull between these two. The banter was so good and the tension was insane.

This book also had some heavy topics that were touched on perfectly. The character growth Beck goes through from being closed off due to his mother’s diagnosis to then letting love in was so sweet.

I cannot wait for Adam and Mia’s story next!

MY FAV COUPLE BY MOLLIE SO FAR!

Jensen and Beck were perfection. They were ROOMMATES WITH BENEFITS. sat. I love that she falls first. ALSO they’re both pierced. If you know what I mean. Both love tattoos. She’s starting a tattoo shop while also bartending. I love her.

So let me just say I SOBBED in this one. Beck’s family situation was heart wrenching. I was not functioning with how hard it hit home.

Also, no third act break up. My fav.

IMO, Mollie never does wrong. Her writing is so mature and adult romance vibes with each character. It’s a breath of fresh air not having to deal with miscommunication and childish characters in relationships.

“i think he’s been my happiness for longer than i’d care to admit.”

oh, how i love this series. jensen and beck were seriously made for each other, a true match made in heaven.

first off, i need jensen so bad. seriously, she’s so hot. and she’s a tattoo artist? swoon. i’ve been looking forward to her book for what seems like forever, and now i wish i could read it for the first time again. i loved her black cat energy so much and the way she flirted/bantered with beck was everything to me. she’s definitely one of my favourite characters.

beck is horribly down bad for jensen, yet neither of them wanted to admit it for so long, and when they finally did…whew!!! beck is the definition of a golden retriever when it comes to jensen, and he complements her black cat personality SO well. there were so many times i wanted to hug him because my heart broke for him, but jensen was there for him through it all, which was so beautiful to see.

thank you so much to mollie for the e-arc! i’m impatiently waiting for the next book ⚾️💙

Stealing You by Mollie Goins eARC Review ⚾️

Well, Beck and Jensen officially have my heart…oh, and Dottie of course. 🤭❤️

I’m not sure that I can formulate a review that will do this book the justice it deserves. I loved every single second of it. Once I started it I didn’t want to put it down. It’s one of those books that just reel you in and get you invested for the very beginning.

The banter between Beck and Jensen is definitely some of the best I’ve ever read. I fell in love with both main characters and was rooting for them to overcome their fears and get their happily ever after. 👏🏻

The found family in the series is one of a kind and honestly, perfection.

Truly amazing. Mollie outdid herself with this one. This book has everything you could want in a sports romance- it’s fun, emotional, witty, spicy, and just a damn good time.

What to expect:
⚾️ Black cat x golden retriever
🍒Roommates with benefits
⚾️She falls first
🍒He’s pierced
⚾️No third act breakup
🍒Mental health rep
⚾️Found family
🍒Dog that is the actual star

Thank you Mollie for the ARC!

I have loved every book in the Boston Blues series - and this book did not dissapoint!

I loved Jensen & Beck so much. The way these two were SO PERFECT together!! They fought it (well Jensen mostly) so much but then when they finally gave into their chemistry, it was electric!

These two were fighting their own battles, but the way they came together to help each other through their toughest moments was pure love. Mollie wrote some really hard topics in the most heartbreakingly beautiful way.

I am so excited to see where the next couple of books takes us. Thank you to Mollie for the ARC copy!

TAKE THIS AS YOUR WARNING- you will cry a lot. You will immediately fall in love with every character (except those at Tally’s). I fear this book has destroyed me this year and it’s only the 3rd.
Jensen, a badass tattoo artist, down on her luck because of assholes just needs some help.
Beckham, baseball player and grieving son, has always loved the girl.
Thank goodness for meddling friends, am I right?

If I could rate this a million, I would. It gives pierced dick/tit energy and its iconic.

So grateful to have read this as an ARC 🩷

♾️⭐️

Speechless from the prologue. The whole book was utter perfection. I was laughing the banter from the very beginning but this book is so much more. More in the sense that it was hard for me to really put into words how much I love this book. I have never read a book where the communication was so on point as much as the understanding between two people who have such deep feelings for one another.

Jensen is our resident black cat on the outside and is a hopeless romantic underneath it all. A woman who wants to have that soul deep love without having to sacrifice her boundaries. A woman who has a crush on a man that she definitely doesn’t want to have. But Beckham is very persistent.

Beckham is not turned off in the slightest by Jenni-Cakes attitude, it only fuels his own crush on the woman who insults him on a daily. Beckham may not be looking for a relationship but there is just something that pulls him to Jensen and he cannot be stopped from being around her.

This book had me laughing, smiling like a fool and crying. I cannot fully encapsulate my love for this book. Jensen and Beckham were seriously the sweetest and I wanted to hug them throughout this entire book. Jensen is so driven in this book. She really said I am going to make my own way, but one day I wanna that all encompassing love. Beckham said let me help with your dreams, even if it’s not me in the end. From my own experience, a man who sticks by you and doesn’t judge what you’re willing go through with your own body, gold standard of a man. And for her to do the same, Jensen was just perfect for Beckham.

The communication and understanding in this book was everything to me. These two had such a unique relationship because it didn’t start sexual, it was build on a friendship, even if it wasn’t conventional or wanted at the time. It was something truly soul deep and so beautiful. I also don’t think I’ve really read a book where the FMC falls first. I loved getting to read Jensen’s feelings and how much she felt for Beck so early. Beck might not have known what he was feeling at the time but he knew there was something about being around Jenni.

I feel like in this book we got more of the friendship that were established in the first two books, more so with Lucie and Jensen. They had such a beautiful friendship and it really bloomed in this book.

A special shoutout to Beck’s dad, Rory, because he was the true MVP in this book!

Thank you to Mollie Goins and House of Hearts for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

✨ARC REVIEW✨ 5⭐️ Oh how I just wanted to wrap Beck up in a big hug! Beck has been trying to land Jensen since they first met. His constant flirting is going no where…at least that what he thinks. Jensen may act like she doesn’t feel that way towards Beck but the truth is, she just can’t no matter how much he’s breaking down her walls. Beck doesn’t want a relationship because he doesn’t want anyone to have to go through what his dad is with his mom. Her easily onset Alzheimer’s diagnosis changed their world so the most he is willing to give is friends with benefits. Jensen isn’t willing to give up her life and career right now for a relationship or a family, so when they end up becoming temporary roommates it feels inevitable to strike up a deal. But friends with benefits is never easy when feelings become involved. Will they both lower their walls and allow each other in or will the pains of their past keep them from falling head over heels for each other.

I loveddddd the banter between these two but seeing them dig deeper and truly reveal their innermost thoughts and feelings broke me. They have both been through so much that has led them to live their lives the way they do, Beck with his mom and Jensen with her mom’s best friend. They were truly made for each other. The depth in this story truly got me. I was not expecting to cry but it was just so beautiful I couldn’t help myself. This one hit close to home with the Alzheimer’s diagnosis, so I truly felt for Beck on such a deep level. Jensen stepping up for Beck and being there regardless of what was happening between them warmed my heart so much. I was not expecting the emotional roller coaster this one took me on especially with how happy and carefree Beck seems in all the other books, but HOLY COW IT WAS SO GOOD. I love an emotional story and these two picked a punch I didn’t see coming. I promise you are going to want to read this one ASAP! Also can’t forget sweet Dottie…I’m obsessed with her too!!

Can be read as a standalone!

What I thought would be a cute romcom story about a tattooer and a baseball player turned into so much more. With so many emotions and internal turmoils I was laughing one minute and crying the next.
He's a golden retriever and she a black cat however the masking they do to keep those roles had me in tears. Jensen is the way she is because doesn't want to rely on anyone, she wants to make it work alone. However when problems arise that are out of her control she can't. So she has help from the baseball player Beck, the golden retriever who has a lot going on with his family that he instead of being upset makes everyone around him laugh.
I really enjoyed this story and the emotions it had me feeling. I have not read the other books that are a part of this series and I definitely will go back and read them. However since I didn't read the first few yet I don't think I lost anything with this story. I wasn't lost or confused reading Stealing You. I think it would have been better if I started with book one however if this one catches your eye and you don't want to pick up the others you should go right into it!

With the tropes of grumpy sunshine, forced proximity, roommates with benefits, no third act break up, mental health rep and a loveable dog side character. A spice rating of 2/5 for me personally. And the author is kind enough to specify the spicy chapters in the beginning of the book.
If you love a baseball player romance without all the sports talk this is a must read as this story takes place in the off season. The first line of the book got me hooked and had me laughing and wondering what I was getting into. And I must say I absolutely loved it.

It’s been almost 24 hours since I finished this book and I have been thinking about it all day. I am a Mollie Goins fan, have been a fan since book one of Aster Creek, and I feel confident saying this is her best book yet.

I’ve been waiting for these two since Beck called Jensen “Jenni-Cakes” in book 2? Book 1? Unsure, but as soon as that nickname was out of his mouth I was salivating for their story and it did NOT disappoint.

You’re going to go into this book thinking you’re reading golden retriever baseball player MMC and black cat FMC and you’re not wrong, but if you stop at that description you’re going to miss SO much of who Beck and Jensen are. There is this story of fear, pain, loss, change, obstacle after obstacle that need to be conquered and watching them get through it together was an absolute privilege.

I’m not going to lie, you are going to feel the full gamut of emotions here - you will swoon, cheer, kick your feet, swear, swear, laugh, and cry. You’ll hold your breath in both positive and negative anticipation. You’ll want to wrap your arms around these characters to celebrate their wins and hold them through their losses. You’ll see things coming that you didn’t expect, even though you realize afterwards that you absolutely should have anticipated them.

You’ll finish the book and spend the next day thinking about this couple in the quiet moments of your mind, and you will be craving the next story just for another glimpse of them.

Mollie has cemented herself as the swoony baseball found family queen and I, for one, hope she stays in this niche for a very, very long time.

I loved Stealing You so much, largely because Jensen and Beck are just ridiculously good together. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and even though Jensen fights it, once they finally give in, it’s electric. Their connection feels earned, it's deeply emotional and I LOVE how they have their own thing going: mutual love for Dottie and their weekly runs.

Both characters are carrying heavy, very personal struggles, and I really admired how Mollie Goins handled those themes with care and tenderness. I love that their emotional struggles are very unique. Watching Jensen and Beck slowly learn how to support each other through their hardest moments was genuinely moving. Beck especially stood out to me—his flirty charm, emotional awareness, and ability to know when to push and when to protect Jensen made him such a strong, comforting presence.

My only real hiccup was the girlfriend group, which felt a little too demanding of Jensen’s time and boundaries, frustrating me at times. That said, I loved that there was no third-act breakup. Seeing two adults communicate, make mistakes, and choose each other was SO SATISFYING. Jensen supporting Beck during an emotional moment, even when it was hard for her, and him recognising what he was demanding of her was just.. *chef's kiss*. We LOVE a self-aware man.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

“Stealing You” by Mollie Goins is the third book in my beloved Boston Blues series. This book focuses on Beck Daines, the sarcastic, flirty first-baseman and aspiring tattoo artist and full-time badass, Jenson James, best friend to the Blues Girls, Lucie and Callie. Neither of them wants to be in a relationship but neither wants to be the one to stay away, so where does that leave them? In a torturous cycle of pining, shameless flirting, some bullying, and both waiting anxiously for their standing Tuesday morning run “not” dates.

Under the surface, both Beck and Jenson are dealing with their own issues. Beck is struggling with accepting his mother’s Alzheimer's diagnosis and what it means for their relationship. Jenson, having just completed her tattoo apprenticeship, suddenly finds herself in desperate need of a place to live, and who would happen to have an extra room but the ginger-haired baseball player? Roommates it is.

I’m obsessed with them. Truly they just compliment each other so well. From the way they flirt, to the way they protect each other, to *ahem* spicier scenes, they just always are there for each other the way best friends and partners should be. I have very strong feelings that Will Anderson is one of the best MMCs ever, and I stand by that. BUT GODDAMN IF BECK ISN’T FIGHTING FOR THE TITLE.

One thing I truly love about the Boston Blues series is that each book deals with real, hard-hitting topics while keeping the balance with the light and fluffy romance. Please take your time to read the content warnings before reading, and a huge thank you to Mollie for always including them.

New to me Author and I’m in love.

Stealing you is utterly and most definitely one of my favorite Baseball romances.

First off the banter, gosh I live for a good banter and this one exceeded my expectations it was so good and it had me giggling and loving every minute of it.

They’re both fighting their inner demons and it hurts my heart that they went through what they did and ended up feeling the way they did.

I loved them together they brought the best out of Each other.
My poor Beck, I cried for him and his heartache, but know Jenni-Cakes was there for him and it healed it.

I really enjoyed this one and I want to recommend to everyone!

Thank you, Mollie and House of Hearts, for this ARC opportunity. I really enjoyed Beck and Jensen's story.

I knew while reading Coach Me that this book and Beckham would be my favourites, and it didn't disappoint.

This book began and ended with a bang, like what do you mean, I was already screaming at the prologue. It takes skill to grab readers' attention from the start, and I must say, what an introduction to the story!! I knew at that moment that Beck and Jensen were going to hit differently.

Jensen was like a black cat on the outside but a softie at heart. I can't express how much I love this girl. The way she had Beck in her paws? Ahh, so hot!! She had me in her paws as well.

Beckham was such a likeable, sweet, and incredible character- I already loved him the most, but this book just confirmed my love for him. Seeing him carry so much burden and pain was the worst kind of torture.

The forced proximity and tension were killing me, but I also loved it so much. The connection and chemistry between them were beyond beautiful. The mutual yearning and pining just added so much flavour to the story.

Beck and Jensen were my comfort couple, and their story couldn't have been any better. These two were perfect for each other, and each time their chemistry did something to my heart, filling it with love and contentment. Their banter was so good, I kept snickering throughout the book.

The tears I shed over this story must be unhealthy because I didn't realise I could cry so badly over fictional characters. But I also had many laughs along the way, with so many hilarious moments. My favourite has to be when Perfect rom-com energy.

The book is slightly low on the spice scale, but that doesn't mean the scenes weren't hot, because OMFG BECK AND JENSEN!!

Side characters and plot -
1. Lucie and Jensen's bond was just the best. A black cat and a sunshine girl can indeed have an amazing friendship.
2. Dottie was the love of my life. I love that girl.
3. Every side character had so much to offer without stealing the limelight, and I loved every single one—except the obvious bad guys.
4. Found family trope never fails to catch my heart. I already love this universe so much <3
__________________________________

I cried so much for these two characters; their pain, emotions, love—everything was too beautiful to just sit and absorb without tears.

The teaser for future books in the series on Amazon was a complete mind blower!! Like OMG, we are not prepared for Adam and Tripp's stories!! The tropes had me hooked. The glimpses had me dying and screaming!!

If Mollie writes it, I'll read it, and she outdoes herself every time. I love how each story is sweet and has a real element, but what stood out again was how well everything was planned and executed. Also, loved texts in different languages were translated to English, so we didn't have to Google them.

The ending was a roller coaster but it couldn't have been any better or sweeter. The epilogues were the cherry on top, pun intended, but once again, what a beautiful way to start their future.

I loved this story.
Ate it up like my favourite meal.

I have been waiting for Beck and Jensen’s book since Pitcher Us. I loved them both from the start and I was really hoping they would be paired together. I love that Jensen is a perfect mix of tough and vulnerable which we got to see more in this story. She’s funny, smart, artistic and I just really adore her. Now Beck, he’s been my fictional husband since his introduction earlier in the series. He’s funny, sweet, and like Jensen, also has a vulnerable side we got to see in this book. I don’t know that I’ve ever wanted to hug a fictional character as much as I did Beck. He and Jensen both ripped my heart out, but they were the perfect pair to be there for each other. I honestly wouldn’t have guessed how easily Jensen would fall for Beck, but I really liked it and honestly? Same, bestie. Don’t even get me started on the friendship between Jen and Princess Peach, I’m obsessed with them. I love this group of characters so much and I will be DEVASTATED when this series is over. (However, I see those next generation seeds being planted Mollie and I whole heartedly support it!)

Romance: 5 ⭐️
Callie & Will and Lucie & Dex have me too, but Beck and Jensen are definitely the best couple of the series so far. (But, I definitely see them staying #1 for me.) They are just the definition of soulmates. The love, the banter, the vulnerability, the heartache, the personal struggles, it was all just so beautiful to see them go through it together and come out stronger. They had me giggling and kicking my feet the entire book, I just love them so much! I love what Mollie chose for their future and I think it was the perfect choice. I’m so happy to have read their story, but I’m almost sad I’ll never get to read it for the first time again.

Storyline: 5 ⭐️
I loved the roommates to FWB to lovers story for them. It was the perfect circumstances to allow them to explore their feelings and learn more about each other. I enjoyed their individual journeys as well, as heartbreaking as they could be. Their personal struggles were well-written and made their ending that much more beautiful.

Writing/Pacing: 5 ⭐️
I thoroughly enjoy Mollie’s writing. I like the different dynamics she’s exploring with the characters, especially in this book. It made me so happy to see adoption be talked about and considered. I feel like a lot of times authors tend to make it one or the other in terms of having kids biologically or not having them at all and adoption gets overlooked when it’s something that happens everyday. I really feel like Beck and Jensen were the perfect couple to explore it with.

Overall: 5 ⭐️
Overall, I absolutely loved this book! As I stated previously, I think it’s the best in the series so far and I’m so happy to have finally gotten to read Beck and Jensen’s story. I can’t wait for this series to continue!

Thank you to Mollie Goins and House of Hearts Lit for allowing me to read and review an early copy of this book!

First of all, I was gifted this ARC—and as I always say, I don’t sign up for ARCs unless the story genuinely intrigues me. This one absolutely did.

The banter between Jensen and Beck is laugh-out-loud funny. Truly. Add in the dog (which is honestly one of my favorite parts), and I was sold from the start. Beck coming home from his trip to his parents—a finding what he found—was hilarious. And the phone call to Callie the next morning? I actually giggled.

I loved Beck’s forward, “let’s get this done” energy, and even though Jensen loves it too, her stubborn streak made everything that much better. The way he helps her at her job, believes in her when she doesn’t believe in herself, the backwards ball cap (you know), and the whole “let’s get this out of our systems” tension—perfection.

And then… the FaceTime call.

Oh my heavens.

My heart ached.

“I’m terrified I might regret losing you.”

Ugh. My goddamn heart.

I adore a roommates-to-lovers trope, especially when the roommates are completely oblivious to their feelings while also being willing to walk through fire for each other. That dynamic gets me every time.

The phone call with Beck’s dad absolutely wrecked me—“he’s the best part of me”—and his mom? Straight to the heartstrings.

Feeling safe with someone is such an underrated experience. People don’t always realize how deeply calming that kind of safety can be, especially for those who struggle with mental health. This book captures that beautifully.

“I could listen all day.”

“Then kiss me.”

This is an emotional read.

I also appreciate the reminder that when someone is going through the worst days of their life, they know they aren’t showing up the way they want to—but it’s incredibly hard to pull yourself out when you’re drowning in your own emotions.

And Adam? Oh, his story is going to be one for the books. I can already tell.

I’ve read this entire series now, even if I haven’t reviewed every installment. I’ve really only gotten serious about reviews in the last five months, but I can confidently say this: Mollie Goins has a way with words that feels effortless and deeply emotional. I say this about many authors, but when a book makes me feel, I always tell them how much it meant to me.

This story was perfect—for me. And yes, there are other perfect stories on my page, but each bone holds its own small, irreplaceable piece of my heart.

"I feel seen for the first time and that wasn’t even his intention. This is not good. I’m so screwed.”

✔️baseball romance
✔️roommates with benefits
✔️black cat x golden retriever
✔️mental health rep
✔️she falls first, he falls harder
✔️found family
✔️no 3rd act breakup

I have loved every book in this series so far, and this was no exception. Jensen (FMC) and Beck (MMC) are perfect for each other, and though neither of them were interested in anything long term at the start for different reasons, the way they gently fall together without really realizing it is so wonderful. Though she falls first, he definitely falls harder even though he is fighting against it in his mind every step of the way. I love that she knows what she wants for her future (as does he), and neither of them try to change the other. They just exist together in this cute, slightly anxious, banter-fulled bubble. Though there is definitely a little bit of angst caused by circumstances outside of their control, there isn’t a third act breakup which is always a win in my book.

Beck grieves his mom throughout this book, so this is just a heads up to check the content warning/author’s note for more specifics before picking this one up if you think that could be something that you want to avoid (protect your mental health, friends). The relationship/friendship/situationship between the MCs is a long time coming if you read the previous book in the series and it’s like a sigh of relief when they finally just give into it already. The banter between the two of them and attitude she gives him when he pushes her buttons just make the story that much better.

This can definitely be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the whole series in order because the found family (not only with the guys on the team but also with the girl gang) is so strong and important to the story. Jensen leans on her girls heavily throughout this story, and Beck’s teammates are very important to him as well. I am so excited for the next book, and seeing more of the Boston Blues guys find their HEA!

*Thank you so much to the author (Mollie Goins) and House of Hearts PR for the opportunity to ARC read this book! All opinions are my own*

My lips capture hers and in a fucking instant, everything becomes crystal clear. No more mud mucking whatever this is between us.

God-fucking-damn it, I full heartedly loved every single aspect of this book that there was to love. Full heart stopping, stealing my breath away, head over heels for Jensen and Beck. They were pure perfection and beyond. I could not put this book down for a single second. It was funny, emotionally charged (i shed some tears and that's rare as fuck for an emotionally stunted girlie like me okurrrr). I was literally smiling like the Cheshire cat because of these two. Like what is even real life right now????

Jensen James is one HELLUVA FMC!! She's bold, snarky, and fierce as fucking hell. I could feel the bite of her snark through the pages. She literally inspires me. Like cmon, she's fiercely independent, and all fucking woman. And I love her and it's no wonder Beck's heart stood no chance when it came to her!!

Beckham Daines is the ultimate golden retriever MMC and he's literally the cutest their ever was. The way he didn't want a relationship at first bc he didn't want his partner to face a potential future of him getting early onset Alzheimer's like his mom was suffering for...gah, my heart actually broke for him. And then he couldn't even stop himself from falling in love with his Jennie-cakes...it was so freaking sweet. He was SOOOOO down bad for his woman, like full stop, next level.

I was obsessed, I read this in a day, and I have nothing negative to say about this beautiful, wonderful, amazing, enchanting book. It was beautifully written with the most care there ever was. I'm floored and blown away and it's gonna be in my heart FOREVER.

I just love Jensen and Beck so much. They were funny, spicy, emotional, and full of all the beautiful and endearing emotions there ever was. The perfect story.

“You asked me in the office how many memories I planned on stealing, baby, I want to steal all of them. Make up for all the time I’ve wasted and steal every bit of you if you’ll let me. I love you.”

Book Review: Stealing You by Mollie Goins
This book was such a cute, heartfelt, and addictive read. I couldn’t put it down once I started.
Jensen, the FMC, is an upcoming tattoo artist trying to build her future while juggling a creepy shop owner, rising rent, and a bartender job just to survive. I really loved her—she’s passionate, hardworking, and guarded because of a past relationship that made her feel small. You can feel how hesitant she is to let herself want more, especially when it comes to Beck.
And Beck… wow. Professional baseball player, soft-hearted, and emotionally complex in a way that really stuck with me. He avoids relationships not because he doesn’t want love, but because of his mom’s early-onset Alzheimer’s. Watching her forget him—and fearing putting someone else through that pain—was heartbreaking and written so tenderly. That storyline hit close to home for me and added so much emotional depth to his character.
The mutual pining between Jensen and Beck was everything. They’re both secretly crushing on each other, and the way they flirt—snacks at work, lingering looks, playful teasing—had me smiling and blushing. Their inner dialogue was hilarious too; both of them wanting to say the spiciest things but being too nervous to cross that line yet.
The forced proximity moment when Jensen ends up staying at Beck’s house (without him knowing 😭) was one of my favorite scenes. Him coming home early, getting licked in the face by her dog, and both of them being confused and flustered was peak rom-com energy. It was awkward, funny, and adorable all at once.
When they finally start opening up to each other, it felt earned. Watching them share fears, boundaries, and vulnerabilities made their connection feel real. And once the spice started? I was READY. The tension had been building for so long that it made those scenes extra satisfying and hot.
Final thoughts:
Stealing You is a sweet, emotional, slow-burn romance with great chemistry, meaningful themes, and characters that feel human. It’s funny, comforting, and spicy in the best way. A perfect mix of heart and heat—and a book I genuinely enjoyed from start to finish. 🖤✨

|ARC|

⋆ dual pov
⋆ found family
⋆ she falls first
⋆ mental health rep
⋆ roommates with benefits
⋆ golden retriever x black cat
__________

Starting off the new year with an ARC and Beck’s slutty little glasses. My god this was a damn rollercoaster and I loved every moment of it. Stealing you is a heartbreakingly beautiful baseball romance where we follow our FMC Jensen as she tries to complete her tattoo certification hours but runs into trouble while also dealing with her stalker *wink* and our MMC Beck as he comes down from the intense baseball season, family problems and continues to pin after a certain someone. We watch through their eyes as a situation forces them to become roomies, leading to an increased tension between the two. We watch as they fight each other but for how long.

My god I love these two, I have loved them since we got little bits and pieces of them from the first two books. Beck and Jensen are everything, while very much opposites they work so damn well together. Ugh I’m obsessed. I love that Jensen was such a badass throughout and that Beck wore his heart on his sleeve always. Watching these two come together and open up to one another and heal after traumatic events throughout their lives. I absolutely adore these two and love their entire baseball family!

And mollie does it again! She just keeps getting better and better. This book was so well written and was so beautiful. It deals with hard topics but Mollie handles every topic with such care and respect. It truly is remarkable how Mollie is able to put us into a different universe and make us feel everything going on. This series has been a breath of fresh air and I’m absolutely obsessed with it! I can’t wait to see where the next book takes us because I know it’s going to be a damn good one!

Overall, absolutely fantastic book. A work of art honestly! I would like to thank Mollie Goins and House of Hearts Lit for the incredible ARC! I am so excited to see what the next book has in store for us! ⚾️💙💋

i had high hopes for this book and ofc it didn't disappoint. the black cat and golden retriever trope was made for them hahha. this had some heavy topics and i loved how it was all handled. this was so beautiful.

jensen is so hot i love her and she is tattoo artist. i loved how she didn't let any men walk over her. girl knows how to shut them up for good. she had such a black cat energy and i loved how she started showing her inner child the more she spent time with beck. she deserved that. also so admirable how she wanted love but never in exchange of someone stepping over her boundaries and even though they had benefits situation, she knew she wanted love in her future. and she made that clear. i love her.

beck is so down bad for jensen and yes i loved how he didn't sleep around. his fear of forgetting everyone was portrayed so well and seeing him being in terms with his mom's alzheimers and finally accepting the love for himself was so beautiful. his relationship with his dad was so beautiful. how his dad wanted him to have all what he wanted before. beck is so kind, sweet, funny and cocky at times and never turned off by jensen's attitude. it just turns him on. loved that how he thought he couldn't give her what she wanted but still wanted to try for the time being.

beck and jensen are everything. the banters, their friendship, the flirting, just everything.and mainly the communication they had. i loved how they communicated what they wanted and understood each other. they are definition of soulmates. i loved how they were for each other in their lazy days and supported each other. the tension, the resistance was too much but everything was worth it because they are HOT. and also loved how they never stopped arguing hahah. and and and how he said he was her arm candy.

and as always the found family aspect is everything here. i loved how we get to see everyone here supporting each other. i am so so excited for upcoming books.

i got an arc in exchange for the honest review!!
