Outstanding! This trio of tales will have your adrenaline pumping and your heart racing with every story.

Lisa Phillips tackles international intrigue and intense action. Tessa loves her quiet life as the girl next door and the preacher’s daughter. Then the boy she had a crush on returns, wounded and hunted. Can they work together to clear his name and keep everyone safe? And what secrets will they uncover along the way?

Mary Alford tells the fascinating story of four childhood friends and the mystery that has consumed their lives. When Charlie finally returns home at the request of Uncle Pete, what she finds sends her on a collision course with danger. Can her old boyfriend Ryan, now with law enforcement, keep her safe while she seeks justice for her long lost best friend?

Finally, new to me author Jessica Ashley sends attorney Beckett Wallace across the country to find out what really happened to her deceased husband. Detective Shawn Sampson is surprised to see her in his precinct, asking for his help. The two join forces to dig for clues about the plane crash that took the life of her husband and get far more than they expected.

I’m exhausted after racing through the pages of these powerful stories! Each one is filled with memorable characters and unique plots, and jam packed with twists, surprises, and faith. I thoroughly enjoyed every page!

I received an advance copy of the collection from the publisher. I’m under no obligation and my review has not been solicited. If you like your holidays high octane, grab this trilogy!

I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic suspense anthology as it's perfect reading for Christmas. Home by Lisa Phillips is a fast-paced suspense story is of Caleb, a DEA agent, and his neighbor Tessa. This novella involves dirty agents, family secrets, and heart-pounding suspense, along with falling for the girl/boy next door.
Silent Snowfall Secrets by Mary Alford drew me in from the start. Charlie's story involves the disappearance of her friend Abby years ago as well as loss. Upon returning home because her uncle passed, Charlie finds herself being targeted, but who and why? This suspense story has twists and turns and kept me guessing who the killer was as Charlie and Ryan uncover the truth behind Abby's disappearance.
Critical Velocity by Jessica Ashley kept my attention from start to finish. Bennett, a lawyer, is looking into the truth of her husband's death as his death may not have been accidental. I loved how she and Shawn, a detective, have a shared history. This story is fast-paced with danger, secrets, and forced proximity as they have to work together. I enjoyed the chemistry between them.
I received a complimentary copy of this anthology. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wow! Three Chilling, Faith-Filled Romantic Suspense Stories!

This anthology was just... WOW. "Snowbound Threat" packs three incredible, high-stakes romantic suspense novellas into one collection. I love anthologies for introducing me to new authors, and this one was a massive win. Each story was well-developed, packed with action, and full of incredible themes of faith.

Home (Lisa Phillips)
Tropes: Childhood Crush, Spy Thriller, Faith Journey

This was a fantastic national security-level mystery! When DEA Agent Caleb returns to his Montana hometown, he's a framed man fighting for his life against dirty agents. He reconnects with Tessa, the preacher's daughter and his childhood crush, but she's walking into her own danger. Her home is broken into, her father is missing, and she's suddenly pulled into a conspiracy that's way bigger than their small town.

I loved the "childhood crush" dynamic and watching Caleb's thoughtful journey to become a better man (his mental checklist is so sweet!). A perfect, fast-paced spy thriller.

Silent Snowfall Secrets (Mary J Alford)
Tropes: Second Chance, Cold Case, Redemption

This one is a chilling cold-case mystery. Charlie, a wildlife photographer, returns to her mountain town, haunted by her friend's disappearance 15 years prior. When she arrives, she finds her uncle's cabin ransacked and a threatening message. To solve the mystery, she's forced to work with her high school love, Ryan, who is now the town deputy and holds his own baggage from the past.

This is a great "second chance" romance, and the mystery of what happened all those years ago kept me guessing until the very end. And that ending... OH MY GOSH. I did NOT see that coming!

Critical Velocity (Jessica Ashley)
Tropes: Second Chance, Forced Proximity, Fake Relationship, Cold Case

A lawyer, a detective, and a 10-year-old cold case! Beckett is a "bulldog" prosecutor who receives a shocking clue that her husband's death a decade ago wasn't an accident. She has to ask for help from Detective Shawn—the one man she had an awful first date with years ago.

This story has so many great tropes: "second chance" at love, "forced proximity" (she has to stay with him for protection!), and even "fake relationship" as they go undercover. I loved watching them overcome their past assumptions. (And a side note: Shawn's hobby is the best). The final twist? I never saw it coming!

This collection is perfect for fans of romantic suspense. All three novellas are high-action, high-stakes, and beautifully woven with themes of faith and redemption. A fantastic read!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Snowbound Threat is a well-written mixture of three Christian Romantic Suspense novellas: HOME, SILENT SNOWFALL SECRETS, AND CRITICAL VELOCITY.

Throughout the story of HOME, danger is exemplified. Author Lisa Phillips penned the betrayal of DEA Special Agent, Caleb Rourke on an out-of-Country Op. Caleb runs into Tessa, who always had his heart when he arrives home. He begins to wish for the simple things of life. Can the answers to lifelong questions be revealed so he can move forward to a life of faith and love?

In Silent Snowfall Secrets, written by Author Mary Alford, the small-town murder mystery 15 years prior, lived on for years, shaking the town to it's very core. Until Charlotte "Charlie" Wells returned home regarding her Uncle's death. The time stamp on the City was still 15 years in the past. Charlie and Ryan search for truth as incidents begin to slow the progress of the case. Page by page, all of the danger, details, clues and faith pull in the truth and answers to fight for life another day.

In Critical Velocity, Author Jessica Ashley penned an investigative story with twists, turns, and some painful memories. Beckett, a confident lawyer who handles clients such as the Hunt Brothers, has taken a hit to her heart. As danger erupts, Beckett pulls a cop, Shawn, in for assistance. Throughout it all, Shawn provides backup and assistance in finding leads to her husband's killer. One surprise follows another that brings her almost to her knees. Finally, with answers, will the truth set her free?

I give Snowbound Threat 5 out of 5 stars for the perfectly written novellas and hints of danger throughout each story. This book was given to me by the authors for a truthful review of their work.

Snowbound Threat is a captivating anthology featuring three intensely suspenseful novellas with fast-paced plots that kept me guessing to the very end and expertly crafted characters who kept me invested in their physical and emotional challenges. I loved it! Each story, though compact, is brimming with action, romance, and faith.
Home by Lisa Phillips:
Set in Montana, Caleb and Tessa's story is one of uncovering buried secrets, protecting family, and trusting an all-knowing God to see them through it all. In this Christmas season, can they find their new beginning together?
Silent Snowfall Secrets by Mary Alford
Set in the sleepy mountain town of Pine Haven, Colorado, this story hits the ground running and doesn't let up! It centers around a fifteen-year-old cold case which reunites wildlife photographer Charlotte "Charlie Wells" and former love deputy Ryan McCabe in a quest that requires confronting deadly secrets and a killer who seems to know their every move! Can they uncover the culprit and have a second chance at a future together?
Critical Velocity by Jessica Ashley
In this roller coaster ride story, lawyer Beckett Wallace and Detective Shawn Sampson reluctantly team up to investigate the death of Beckett's husband ten years earlier opening old wounds and facing new threats. Can Beckett and Shawn, risking everything for the truth, win the race against time and also find a happily ever after together?
I read an early copy of this book from the author/publisher with no obligation to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Snowbound Threat has 3 different authors with fantastic stories! This book trio will fill you with suspense from beginning to end!

Lisa Phillips’ book called Home will intrigue you with Caleb Rourke who is left for a dead and decides to return to his hometown to escape his troubles. His neighbor, Tessa Langley discovers in her father’s secret safe some encrypted documents. Caleb realizes he’s not safe even in his hometown and now must protect Tessa and her family from becoming a target. They must both work together and face some truths to unravel the mystery. Good Book.

Mary Alford’s book called Silent Snowfall Secrets will keep you hopping from the get go. Charlie Wells has returned home to take care of her uncle’s estate and of course she falls into a mystery! Fifteen years earlier her best friend, Abby vanished during a late night meeting. Now someone wants to keep that secret buried no matter the costs and whose life has to be taken. A blizzard is rolling into town and Charlie and Deputy Ryan McCabe must work together to unravel this mystery before It’s too late. As they get close to the truth the danger to them becomes greater and more deadly. Full of suspense Loved this book! Great read Mary!

Jessica Ashley’s book called Critical Velocity has sparks flying. Beckett Wallace’s husband’s plane crash 10 years earlier wasn’t an accident, Beckett receives information to prove that it wasn’t. Snowbound Threat contains three romantic suspense stories by Lisa Phillips, Mary Alford, and Jessica Ashley. I enjoyed the three suspenseful stories. Home by Lisa Phillips is a fast-paced novella. I was quickly drawn into the story involving Tessa and Caleb. I loved all the action, intrigue, and suspense. There is romance as well. Silent Snowfall Secrets by Mary Alford captured my attention immediately. I felt for Charlie who felt responsible for the death of her friend. The case remains unresolved fifteen years later. Charlie returns home after the death of her uncle, and it appears that the killer has her in his sights. I liked the sections from the killer’s point of view. The story has danger, action, mystery, suspense, romance, and faith. Critical Velocity by Jessica Ashley grabbed my attention right away and held it until the end. The story moved at a quick clip. There is danger, secrets, faith, and romance. I loved the epilogue. This is the first book that I have read by Jessica Ashley, and it is definitely not going to be the last. I enjoyed the three thrilling tales in Snowbound Threat.

A collection of great Christian suspense novels that kept me engaged in the plot and up late at night! I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.

Home

Fast-paced…lots of twists…lots of secrets. Caleb is intense with many enemies and a case to solve of high stakes. Tessa is a sweet “girl next door” who enjoyed her simple life until Caleb returns and things turn upside down. Their feelings for each other deepen quickly and Caleb just wants the troubles to end so they can have a future.

Both of them lean on their faith in God’s guidance and ultimate control of life. Tessa even has the courage to witness to her captor of God’s forgiveness. These were good aspects in the plot for me. Good story!

Silent Snowfall Secrets

Lots of clues and dead ends….lots of suspects….lots of theories….no answers. The suspense was great all the way to the end. I barely guessed the answer right before it was revealed. Ryan and Charlie have history that is heartbreaking because of Charlie’s fears, but this danger molds them together into what they can have now. I liked the story; definitely kept me on my toes.

Critical Velocity

Beckett is seeking answers to her husband’s death a decade ago. Shawn is determined to be the one that gets them for her. Along the way they face much danger and heartbreak, but their faith in God carries them through. Theirs is a slow but quick romance! 😁

It was great to see Beckett as a vulnerable woman, instead of the feisty lawyer she is for the Hunt brothers. A couple of the brothers do make an appearance, which makes it even better. I enjoyed the story, and the epilogue was amazing!

Home - Lisa Phillips
I actually really liked this one. I liked Tessa and Caleb and the mystery they are both thrust in to. There was some fun banter towards the end that was one of my favorite things in the story. Good read overall. 4 Stars
Silent Snowfall Secrets - Mary Alford
The cold case elements of this mystery were really intriguing to me, and made me want to read this one. Overall, the mystery was good, I did figure out the villain pretty early in the story, but I was a little off on the reasons why they did what they did. My main complaint with this story is that one part of the mystery was never answered. 3.5 stars.
Critical Velocity - Jessica Ashley. Without a doubt my favorite of the collection and a phenomenal read. I had an actual jaw drop moment during the story and it made a great story that much beter. Jessica has become without a doubt, one of my top two Christian fiction suspense authors. Love everything she writes! 5 Stars

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

I loved these three snowbound stories!
Home by Lisa Phillips: Caleb Rourke tries to hide from the "bad guys" with his grandfather in Montana but the pastor's daughter next door has grown into an amazing woman! You will wonder what her father is involved in!
Silent Snowfall Secrets by Mary Alford: Ms. Charlie Wells returns home to settle her uncle's estate not planning on discovering information to do with her girlhood friend's death. Did her uncle know who was guilty?
Critical Velocity by Jessica Ashley: Beckett Wallace learns that her husband's death ten years ago was NOT an accident and sets out to find the truth. Detective Shawn Sampson and Beckett do not look forward to working together as they search for the real story.

All three of these stories are wonderful and dangerous snowy tales that I recommend to others. I received a complimentary e-book. This is my honest opinion.

Snowbound threat
From page one, my heart was in my throat! So many secrets, so many unsolved murders, but one can only try to outrun the pain and heartache of loss before truth must be faced. Charlie’s return to Pine Haven after the untimely death of her uncle turned into a nightmare she never expected. And a possible second chance at love? Only time would tell.

Snowbound Threat – A Quick, Cozy, Heart-Pounding Read
Snowbound Threat is a perfect winter escape—three authors, three short stories, and plenty of snow-covered suspense to keep you turning pages. Lisa Phillips, Mary Alford, and Jessica Ashley each deliver a fast-paced tale that blends danger, courage, and just the right touch of heart.
What I loved most is how readable these stories are: short enough to finish in one sitting, gripping enough to keep you fully invested, and cozy enough to pair with a blanket and hot cocoa. Each author brings her own style, but together they create a collection that feels tight, exciting, and satisfying.
If you enjoy clean suspense, snowy settings, and bite-sized thrillers, this collection is a delightful winter treat.

Release date October 24, 2025

This is a wonderful anthology written by three amazing writers. These three stories were filled with suspense, intrigue, wonderful characters. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. Each story went by quickly, but it was not a quick read because it is a large book. But I can say absolutely enjoyed each and every page. Lisa and Jessica are new authors to me and I will be seeking out some more of their stories. I’m a longtime fan of Mary and she’s an amazing writer!

This is the first collection in the Do You Hear What I Hear series. This has three novellas by three different authors in it.

One author I have read before and I have loved everything she has written and her story in this book didn't disappoint, and the other two were new to me.

There is danger, faith, second chances and lots of suspense and to keep you wanting to read more to find out what happens next and some scenes made my heart race and skip a beat. All the stories take place around Christmas.

I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book which I received from one of the authors. The review here is my honest opinion.

What an awesome analogy.
Home by Lisa Phillips had me rooting fir Caleb and Tessa from the beginning. It started and ended with a bang. Romantic suspense at its best.
Silent Snowfall Secrets by Mary Alford. The beginning immediately draws you in. You can practically feel the fear. Straight adrenaline action throughout.
Critical Velocity by Jessica Ashley had the perfect amount of suspense to romance. There were many twists and "surprises" that made this story great.
Though I got an ARC, these stories were so good that I Pre-ordered a copy.

So, SO GOOD!!!

Lisa Phillips and Mary Alford are always "must read" authors for me, so I wasn't disappointed at their excellent stories! I'm not as familiar with Jessica Ashley, but her story was excellent as well!

Each of these stories was full of suspense, edge-of-your-seat moments, and sweet romance. I didn't figure out the ending ahead of time, either. And... it is also way past my bedtime because I didn't want to put the story down to go to sleep! Highly recommend!

Mary, I have to tell you that I figured out the "bad guy" less than half way through. However, your writing did keep me wondering a time or two about my choice!
Ladies, I have read many things you've all written before and loved them. Thanks for this book that displays your writing so well! I loved it!

This collection of novellas was full of danger, suspense, and thrills that kept me reading until I reached the end. Lisa Phillips’ story was outstanding, and I can’t wait to read more about the new characters introduced. Mary Alford’s story was chilling and full of surprises. I never would have guessed the real villain - frankly, I was flabbergasted by the big reveal. Jessica Ashley’s story was just as well written, and her characters were so realistic that they could have leapt from the pages. I highly recommend this collection to anyone who enjoys inspirational suspense with an intense edge, and I am looking forward to reading more from these authors!
