☘️Before going into the review, I would want everyone to have a look at the last slide that contains a great exercise you might consider engaging in, the next time you feel your mind is unfocused or overactive.⭐
Esoteric Writings, authored by Cyrus Ryan is a philosophically rich and reflective book which stems from a group work experience. The spiritual quest of the author began when he embarked on the journey of esoteric learning and then, got the mantra shakti from his teacher RN.
The book has been crafted by the author taking inputs from several disciples and with his own experience to help the aspirants achieve the profound spiritual knowledge.
Esoteric knowledge is one which is hard to attain, the one which is readily available is not esoteric, its called exoteric.
To pursue the path of this esoteric wisdom, we must cultivate inner purity, that at the heart of it, requires self awareness, or in the language of patanjali yoga sutras, it is recognising vrittis, klesas and getting rid of it.
Esoteric knowledge starts with the awareness of one's inner self and subsequent purification that requires intense hardwork, meditation and a disciplined, focused mind. The book also dives into the aspect of potency of mantra shakti, the revered deity, and at places mentions the Buddhist, the Sankhya philosophy and the Western ideology therefore creating an amalgamation of the best through his writing and helping the readers to search for the esoteric truth and unfold the fundamentals of their existence.
The book will awaken you to the knowledge of the soul, eternal reality, therefore uplifting up as a human, and broadening the vistas of our knowledge. The book would enlighten us to the journey required for attaining the ultimate bliss where the sense of "I" gently falls away and all that is left is the soul emitting it's divine radiance.
The book although is highly philosophical and has a depth, still I would say it is a must read. It is beautiful and definitely I am going to re-read it.
Reading Esoteric Writings by Cyrus Ryan was both enlightening and thought-provoking. This isn’t a book you can rush through; it’s one that invites you to slow down, reflect, and truly absorb its teachings. Ryan shares insights drawn from fifty years of deep esoteric practice and group work, and the authenticity of his experience comes through in every chapter.
What I appreciated most is that the book doesn’t glamorize the mystical path. Instead, it reveals how real spiritual growth requires discipline, self-examination, and a willingness to face one’s inner struggles. Ryan makes it clear that true esoteric work isn’t about quick results or external rituals, but about awakening the higher consciousness hidden within.
Through the stories of his teacher, RN, and the teachings of the Masters of the Trans-Himalayan Arhat School, the book opens a window into a world that feels ancient, powerful, and deeply spiritual. I found the sections about mantra shakti and group work especially fascinating. The idea that a dedicated group can become a living channel for higher wisdom feels both inspiring and timely in our disconnected age.
This book isn’t meant for casual readers; it’s for seekers who are ready to go beyond surface-level spirituality. It asks for attention, patience, and an open mind. Some parts are dense and symbolic, but that’s what gives them depth and lasting value.
By the end, I felt I had glimpsed a living tradition of knowledge that connects the past with the future — a true preparation for the Aquarian Age. Esoteric Writings is a powerful guide for anyone serious about inner transformation and the collective spiritual work that lies ahead. It’s not just a book — it’s an initiation into a higher understanding of life and purpose.
If you’ve ever found yourself questioning the deeper meaning of life or searching for peace amid chaos, this book might just be the quiet voice you’ve been waiting to hear. This book is not merely a collection of thoughts; it’s a spiritual experience in itself, unfolding with the calm precision of someone who has truly walked the path he writes about.
Through the teachings of Master DK and reflections on the Aquarian Age, the author bridges ancient esoteric wisdom with modern-day understanding. What I loved most was how effortlessly the author translates complex spiritual ideas into clear, relatable insights. The tone is gentle yet profound, guiding readers to look inward rather than outward for answers.
Each chapter feels like an intimate dialogue - touching upon discipleship, mantras, initiation, and the art of self-study. The writing doesn’t preach; it softly invites reflection, reminding us that true transformation begins with self-awareness. The author’s own experiences lend the narrative a sense of honesty and grounded spirituality that makes the book deeply relatable.
What stayed with me long after finishing it was the book’s quiet reassurance that spiritual growth isn’t about grand revelations but about small, consistent steps toward inner clarity and compassion.
This book is both timeless and timely, a comforting guide for anyone seeking calm in a restless world. Whether you’re an experienced seeker or someone beginning to explore the depths of consciousness, this book offers wisdom that gently reshapes how you see yourself and life itself.
This is a profound, spiritual guide for the sincere spiritual aspirant. Its ancient wisdom is explained through a modern perspective, and the lessons are deeply transformative. Cyrus Ryan writes about mysticism, the energies living in mantra chanting and spiritual lifestyles, which require much more than fascination with rituals or symbols.
Based on the teachings of his master, the author shares learnings and insight from fifty years of group work and disciplined practice. This book is for sincere seekers and not those who read spirituality casually. It's for readers who are willing to come out of their comfort zone and ready to look inside to walk the tough path of solitude.
Author Cyrus Ryan explained the superficiality surrounding the occult and showed us how, without inner purification and spiritual chanting, even the sacred mantras just become the noise. Esoteric writing is more than a collection of teachings and shows us how only the potential and responsibility of the seeker are the true essentials for spiritual progress. It closes the gap between myth and modernity and depicts how ancient battles of epics still continue to unfold in our mind and soul.
This is not a quick read; it requires patience and quiet treading on the path to deeper callings, and Cyrus Ryan’s Esoteric Writings offers just the much-needed knowledge for that.
Esoteric Writings: Teachings for the Aquarian Age is the kind of book that quietly pulls you in and makes you rethink what real spiritual work looks like. Instead of promising quick results or dramatic magical experiences, Cyrus Ryan takes you behind the curtain and shows the patient, disciplined, and deeply personal path of true esoteric practice. The book explains difficult concepts like mantras, initiation, group work, discipleship, and inner disciplines in a way that is surprisingly easy to understand. Each chapter feels like a calm conversation that steadily opens new levels of awareness. I appreciated how the author clarifies that spiritual growth is not about performing rituals for instant power but about consistent effort, self reflection, and understanding the science behind ancient traditions.
What also stands out is the insight into real group work during the beginning of the Aquarian Age. It feels like a rare glimpse into an authentic lineage that values sincerity and inner transformation.
This is a powerful guide for sincere seekers who want depth, clarity, and practical wisdom instead of glamour. A meaningful and enriching read.
