Wang Cuihua, an ordinary corporate slave, was on her way home when she suddenly transmigrated into a web novel. There, she became Yu Wanyin, a tyrant’s concubine. As it turned out, it was Concubine Yu’s turn to serve His Majesty in bed that night.
Upon meeting the tyrant, his words and mannerisms gave Yu Wanyin a curious sense of déjà vu. After careful contemplation, she decided to sound him out.
“How are you?” she blurted out in English.
The rims of Xiahou Dan’s eyes reddened, and he fell silent.
At length, he replied, also in English, “I’m fine, and you?”
Great read, we follow our MC as she schemes against foes and uncovers the mysteries around her. The ML is well written (every character is) and their romance grows in a pace that matches the book. The obstacles are fresh and exciting and I'll be thinking of this book for ages to come :)
I really really loved that novel. If I could give 6 stars to it I would! Despite a few confusing switch of point of views at the beginning, I thought this was really well written (and translated!). This story had a few twists and turns that I actually didn't expect, despite my reading of countless transmigration novels and palace intrigue. The novel made me laugh and made me tear up a little too. Maybe I was too into it and therefore biased, but it was really good and I would recommend this to anyone.
spent the whole day reading this; top tier life decision. qi ying jun has elite levels of understanding of the appeal of transmigration stories. loved the leads and appreciated the range of the supporting cast
It's been a while since I found a webnovel that was well-written, not rushed, and very fulfilling to read. More than just comedy, this story will tug on your hearstrings a couple of times. Love it!
I picked this book because of the donghua, but this is such a gem! The main characters shine through their difficulties and made you think that you couldn't blame them for how they turned out to be. Some plot armor is there for the female lead but I'd say, this is a very good "short" story (some chapters are sooooo long that in normal jjwxc story, that would be at least 3 split chapters...)
It has HE and two extras chapters about side characters. I'd recommend watching the anime/donghua first if you're trying out, it's quite faithful to the novel.
