FOR THE ONE IN FIVE COUPLES WHO EXPERIENCE DIFFICULTY CONCEIVING

You have more than one hundred hormones circulating in your body–reproductive hormones, pregnancy hormones, sex hormones, metabolic hormones, and stress hormones–relaying messages from tissue to tissue, organ to organ, brain to body, and body to brain. An equilibrium, a perfect balance in both partners, often determines your ability to conceive and support a pregnancy. When your body is imbalanced, conception becomes very difficult. Luckily, hormonal imbalances can be corrected.

Drawing on the latest research in this field–which links underlying hormonal issues with infertility in men and women–Dr. Robert Greene, fertility specialist, ob/gyn, and reproductive endocrinologist, has created the Perfect Balance Fertility Program to help patients attain the optimal hormonal health that is necessary for conception. In Dr. Robert Greene’s Perfect Hormone Balance for Fertility, he shares his groundbreaking program so you

•Identify and correct the causes of the hormonal issues that affect fertility
•Use nutrition, exercise, and stress-reduction techniques to achieve a healthy equilibrium through a personalized plan
•Determine when it’s time for basic or advanced reproductive techniques, such as IVF, and learn how to be your own advocate so you can avoid costly and unnecessary tests and treatments

Comprehensive, friendly, and accessible, Dr. Robert Greene’s Perfect Hormone Balance for Fertility reveals all your best options for achieving the optimal hormonal levels that will positively impact your chances for a successful pregnancy.

Ok so I am reading this mostly to work on hormone balance, not really fertility. I have always had issues with moods and other medical girly stuff. Always wondered if it was hormone related, and since fertility is another medical issue I have I figure hey, this can't hurt.

So far I am really enjoying how simplified the medical aspect of hormone therapy is in this book. Dr Greene is very thorough and uplifting to read. He gives readers the tools needed to take control of how you feel and how your body works by exercising, eating healthy, and riding the body of as many toxins as you can. All things that, according to Dr. Greene, affect your body and mental well being.

I agree with the doctor because I have experienced it first hand, when I exercise regularly and eat right, my body and mind feel in tune with each other.

Doubt this will help with my fertility thing, but I am happy to work on becoming as healthy as I can.

I found this book to be not only very informational, but also it gave me a wonderful feeling of hope. I have felt the last couple times I have been to the doctor, that I am just another patient trying to get pregnant- "let's put you on clomid, chart your temperature for six months and if it dosen't work we can look at other options". This book gives alternative methods and ideas that you and your spouse can try to jumpstart your hormones and system. I have been following the diet for about 2 weeks now and I feel pretty good. I need to follow up on some ideas with my doctor- but I found it very informative and helpful.

Fantastic book for anyone struggling with fertility. The author is a doctor who looks at the whole picture instead of just suggesting fertility treatments to his patients. He focuses on achieving perfect hormone balance and helps you discover the cause of infertility instead of just treating symptoms.

This book was pretty good and I agree with the importance of balance and overall health and well being when trying to become pregnant, but when I spoke to my fertility doctor about some of the statements/views that Dr. Greene puts in this book he said that there is not research to support some of his claims. However, I have started buying organic fruit and veggies and begun a yoga class!

Good reference. Diet and supplements.
Interesting to read about the author's own experience - being older and trying to have a child, and all the challenges.
