“If a novel includes decades-old unsolved murders, I’m immediately hooked. If you throw in a true crime aficionado investigating those crimes, well then, I know what I’m doing that weekend! Keeley Webb’s excellent novel, Killer Content, contains both, and you should definitely give it a read. You won’t regret it!” - Brian O'Sullivan, author of The Bartender and The Photo Album
A crime content creator. An anonymous follower. Two threatening letters. Six thirty-year-old unsolved murders. A small village that holds many secrets.
In the summer of 1995, the peaceful, quiet rural village of Culverton changed forever. What started out as a horrifying, seemingly random murder of Lillian Anderson in her own home, with her husband sitting drugged and unable to help her, became a sudden six-month killing spree that targeted elderly residents within their own homes. Six victims were brutally slain, each with a different weapon from within their own homes and each in a different way. Was this the work of one killer? The police in 1995 couldn’t solve the crimes, and just as soon as the killings started, the murders randomly stopped in December 1995 with their last known victim. In 2025, Billie Wiley, a 23-year-old crime content creator, was making a living covering solved cases and critiquing the police's many mistakes. Although she had moved out of the area, Billie had been born and raised in Culverton. After the first anniversary of her TikTok profile, Killer Content, an anonymous commenter began to hound her with a request to cover and finally solve the Culverton killings. After two threatening letters arrive at her parents' home addressed to her, Billie has no choice but to investigate and beg the police to reopen these cases. Is the killer just preparing to make her another victim, or will Billie uncover their identity and finally bring closure to these thirty-year-old cases?
Yeah 🥳🥳🥳. I can finally give you my review of Keeley Webb’s new book that is due to be released on the 3rd October. 🚨🚨A few spoilers of what the book is about, so read at your discretion 😁
Review: the year is 2025. Billie, a 23-year-old crime content creator is living alone again, savouring the freedom of her job, until she receives a string of messages on TikTok demanding she solve the Culverton killings. Six victims were brutally slain 30 years earlier and now three decades on, the case has resurfaced. When threatening letters arrive at her family’s home Billie has no choice but to examine the cold case herself. The murder occurred eight years before she was born and the trail has long since gone cold. Still, the victims were vulnerable pensioners, whose lives deserve answers. Tasked with piecing together fractured memories, fading evidence, and long buried secrets, Billie must decide whether she can find justice for those who can no longer speak, and whether she can identify a killer who has eluded detection for decades. I’m an absolute fan of cold case books and this one of Keeley Webbs was undoubtedly among the best. Keeley has a rare gift for humanising her characters. She teases out their intentions and the small telling details they try to hide, so you feel their unease and understand what they’re protecting. She should be incredibly proud of this new book and it definitely is a five star from me. Please go visit Keeley Webb‘s Facebook page, and she will keep you up-to-date with when it’s out. Congratulations 🥳 and I wish you all the very best. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Billie Wiley has made her mark as a rising star in true-crime content creation, breaking down solved cases while highlighting law enforcement’s blunders. But on the eve of her show’s one-year anniversary, a mysterious commenter dares her to do more than criticize - urging her to investigate a string of three decade old murders. The connection? The killings happened in Culverton, the small town her family still calls home.
As Billie prepares for a long-overdue trip back home, she digs deeper into the Culverton cases. Curiosity soon becomes obsession. But when disturbing letters are waiting at her parents’ house, she’s forced to confront the possibility that her investigation has drawn the wrong kind of attention. Now Billie must decide: will she unmask the faceless commenter and finally shed light on the thirty-year-old cold cases, or will chasing the truth put everyone she loves in danger?
Webb masterfully delivers characters so raw and relatable that readers can’t help but care what happens to them. Her storytelling blends emotional vulnerability with tightly woven backstories, making the suspense all the more gripping. Vivid, cinematic imagery pulls you straight into each scene, while the seamless pacing keeps you hooked until the very end!
For fans of psychological thrillers that pull you into detective mode, Killer Content is a must-read. Mark your calendars - this edge-of-your-seat thriller arrives October 3, 2025. Pre-order now so it’s waiting for you the moment it drops.
I would like to thank Keeley Webb for the opportunity to Alpha/Beta/ARC read Killer Content. As always, all reviews and opinions are of my own volition. I have not been promised any compensation, current or future, by the author or publisher for a fair and honest review.
Billie Wiley has made a living doing true crime investigation content online. She spends her days tracking down the best stories and following up on the most interesting leads. One day, an anonymous commenter tells her she should investigate the Culverton killings. Culverton just happens to be where her parents live. Small world, right? The killings occurred in 1995 and were never solved, so the case has gone very cold. As Billie dives deeper and deeper into the mystery, it's obvious someone is trying to guide her to a specific conclusion, but who and why? Billie soon realizes it's more than just content that is at stake as her family and friends find themselves in the cross hairs of danger. Will Billie be able to solve the case or will she become just another statistic in a very dark and very cold case?
I knew from the first page that this book was going to pull me in. I felt like I was with Billie every step of the way as she tried to uncover the real secrets and solve the Culverton killings before it's too late. I even had to let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding. Every twist is neck breaking and everyone is a suspect. I even suspected one of the character's dogs at one point. It's just that good.
If you're looking for something quick, fun, and totally gripping then this is the story for you. Just be careful who you trust.
What an incredible and suspenseful fast-paced thriller "Killer Content" is by an amazing and talented author Keeley Webb.
I was totally captivated by this brilliant book. Billie Wiley makes a living covering unsolved murder cases on her TikTok crime creator series Killer Content. When on a visit to her parents, a couple of letters had been mailed for Billie requesting or rather containing threatening demands she covers the Culverton murders from thirty years ago, written with cutout lettering from magazines and newspapers signed by anonymous, she suspects this could be the killer of '95. After reporting the letters to the police, DI Harry and PC Declan agree to collaborate with Billie in an attempt to solve the case and put an end to the threats made to Billie and her family by the anonymous mailer who makes the same demands and threats in comments on Billie's crime creator TikTok video uploads of the case.
This is an enthralling and tense story by Keeley that has surprising twists and turns, with the suspense building throughout. This in my opinion is a must-read book, very well written, the characters are exceptional and believable in great visual settings.
I loved Killer Content and recommend it very highly.
Y’all. I was lucky enough to beta read this gem and I’m still screaming. 🔥 Billie, our 23-year-old crime content queen, is living her best solo life in 2025… until strangers slide into her TikTok DMs demanding she solve a thirty-year-old massacre. Six elderly victims, no answers, and suddenly threatening letters show up at her family’s house. Um, excuse me?? 🕵️♀️📲
Keeley Webb’s writing slaps—fast, sharp, and laced with the kind of tension that makes you want to keep every light in your house on. She doesn’t just write characters; she peels them open so you feel every nervous twitch and guarded secret. And Billie? She’s messy, smart, stubborn, and I’d 100% binge her channel in real life.
Snappy, sinister, and addictive as doomscrolling—this book is killer content. 👏✨

Run and grab this great read. Keeley Webb did a fabulous job with this edge-of-your-seat thriller that keeps you turning the pages just to see what happens next.
Killer Content completely pulled me in. Following Billie Wiley as she tries to uncover the truth was gripping from start to finish, but what really stood out for me was the way Keeley Webb uses the first-person narrative. It puts you right inside the moment and makes every twist feel that much sharper.
Billie is such a strong lead, determined and easy to root for. The way the story unfolds kept me turning the pages, every chapter adds just enough intrigue to keep you guessing.
If you enjoy mystery thrillers with distinctive characters, clever pacing, and that perfect “just one more chapter” pull, Killer Content is a fantastic read. Highly recommend.
As the Brit’s say absolutely Brilliant 5 star read. Had me hooked and my spider senses going the whole time. Loved the twists and turns Keeley brought to the pages. I need more of Billie, Harry & Declan crime solver extraordinaire.
I really enjoyed Keeley's "Whispers in the Wine Cellar" so I was super excited to be an arc reader for Killer Content. This book is about a content creator that puts out stories about cold cases. She is launched into investigating murders that happened a long time ago in her hometown, thanks to an anonymous commenter. The twists and turns this story takes just makes you keep turning the pages! There are so many characters and back stories that you WANT TO JUST KEEP READING to see if you can figure it all out. If you are a crime junkie (or honestly even if you aren't), this psychological thriller is truly up your alley!
Keeley Webb’s “Killer Content” is the kind of edge-of-your-seat, addictive thriller with true-crime vibes and darkness that seems real, not for the faint of heart, making this truly a MUST read! I went into it expecting a bingeable suspense but was in no way prepared for just how dark and unsettling this would be!
The premise hooked me right away: true crime podcasts, cold cases, and the lure of social media fame collide in a way that feels both addictively readable and alarmingly believable. I’ve listened to plenty of podcasts myself, and this book honestly made me stop and think about the real people behind those stories—the victims, the families, and what it means when tragedy becomes “content.” That extra layer gave this thriller so much weight.
The pacing is spot-on. Webb balances creeping unease with sharp bursts of tension, sprinkling in enough red herrings to keep me guessing. Every time I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong—and I loved that.
The characters felt like people I know, too. Billie isn’t perfect, she makes mistakes, second-guesses herself, and sometimes dives in too deep, but that’s exactly what made me connect with her. I could see myself in her curiosity and in that dangerous feeling of wanting “just one more clue.”
What I’ll remember most is the eerie accuracy in how Webb captures our obsession with content and fame. This isn’t just another twisty thriller. It’s one that makes you reflect on why we’re so fascinated with true crime and what it costs when we turn pain into entertainment.
Keeley Webb and Killer Content reminded me of why I love this genre: it’s not only about the adrenaline rush but also the direct reflection to our world. Keeley Webb has definitely earned a spot on my must-read list.
I was very lucky to get an ARC of this book, and it did not disappoint!
Keely writes about Billie, a true crime tiktoker who is from a small town in the UK where there had been murders 30 years ago.
The way Keely writes gives such an imersive experience because you can see yourself in the area she's talking about, having everyday conversations with family and friends, and the suspense edge flows really well.
The whole way through the book, I had to keep reminding myself that this wasn't actually a real TikTok account as I kept finding myself going to look for it 😂
There are the perfect amount of characters in this story, sometimes, if there are too many, it gets confusing, but I knew who everyone was and what role they played.
I honestly had no clue how this book was going to end as there could have been so many people that were responsible for the murders. My jaw dropped when it was revealed!
The action kept going right up until the last page.
I highly recommend giving this book a read when it is out in October 😃
*ARC REVIEW* Billie is a content creator, creating reels about true crime stories that she posts on tiktok and YouTube. After receiving anonymous comments telling her to look into a 30 year old cold case that took place in her hometown, she finds herself heading home to her parents house. Soon she is working with the police, hoping to solve the six murders before anyone else she loves gets hurt.
I loved the idea of this one. A solid plot with a steadily building sense of urgency and a great twist.
However, the story didn’t flow as well as I’d hoped. The pacing was slow, sometimes repetitive, and the writing felt almost childlike. One thing that really grated on me was the constant use of names in dialogue — during a conversation between Billie and the detective inspector, for example, he would say her name every time he spoke, and she would call him DI every time she replied. It quickly became unnatural and distracting.
As always, these are just my impressions, so don’t let them put you off giving this one a try.
This one was a ride—in the best way. I went in expecting a solid thriller and came out genuinely impressed. The pacing? Sharp. The atmosphere? Creepy in all the right places. The cold case at the heart of it? Deliciously eerie. Six elderly victims, one sleepy village, and a decades-old mystery that refuses to stay buried.
Billie, our FMC, is bold, impulsive, and emotionally messy. Her TikTok sleuthing felt fresh, and watching her navigate threats, secrets, and small-town tension kept me turning pages.
And then—that twist. I did not see it coming. It completely caught me off guard… and I can’t say I was mad at it. Honestly? I kind of loved it.
Keeley Webb absolutely nailed the vibe. This is the kind of thriller that lingers. It’s smart, eerie, and emotionally sharp. This book reminded me why I love thrillers: not just for the twists, but for the characters who feel like real people making real mistakes in impossible situations.
So here’s to Keeley—thank you for crafting a mystery that bites back and a heroine who refuses to play it safe.
An incredible read that I finished in one day about a content creator who is forced into examining a string of unsolved murders from 30 years ago in her hometown after receiving messages from a follower. The suspense built up throughout the book and kept me on edge throughout and the twists were there at each turn. The characters were all fabulous and I loved Billie as well as Harry, Declan and Tony. Billie was the strong female lead character and we got to see a lot of layers and depth of her. The plot was fantastic and I had no idea what was going to happen or who the murderer really was so I was really surprised! The writing was sharp and on point and I found myself fully immersed in it as I quickly turned the pages wanting more. This is a book that will pick up and not be able to put down! A 5 star read! Thank you to Keeley Webb for a advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.
I recieved an Arc advanced copy of Killer Content. Killer Content by Keeley Webb is an engaging, fast-paced thriller about Billie, a true crime blogger who covers old cases on TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. She receives a comment suggesting she investigate the Culverton killings from 1995, a series of murders in her hometown that have remained unsolved. Initially hesitant, Billie is soon threatened with mail sent to her family, prompting her to dive deeper into the case. She teams up with the local police and community members to uncover new leads and solve the six brutal murders. The book is captivating and easy to read, with a suspenseful plot that will keep you hooked from start to finish.
Billie hits social media showcasing her love to tell the stories of solved crimes. A strange comment leads to her being in the middle of a cold case from her hometown. Is it the killer who got away? Who is really behind the threats?
Keeley takes you through a 30 year old cold case whodunnit. She lays out the evidence in a way so you can also play detective. She reveals just enough to get you thinking and trying to piece the puzzle together.
Whodunnits and crime are two of my favorites. I love trying to figure who is behind it all along with the main character. This had me hooked and my investigator brain working. This is written in British English 😍. I absolutely adore their slang and it adds so much to the story.
Killer Content is an absolute rollercoaster from start to finish — packed with jaw-dropping twists, shocking reveals, and enough suspense to keep you glued to the page. I loved spotting some familiar indie faces woven cleverly into the story, which added an extra layer of fun.
Keeley Webb has created a dark, gripping tale that feels both fresh and unflinchingly real. Just when you think you know where it’s heading… BAM — another twist hits and your jaw is on the floor.
If you love thrillers that keep you second-guessing until the very last page, Killer Content is an absolute must-read. 👏
My ARC review: It was a little slow in some places of the book, but it did not disappoint! Kelley Webb definitely did a good job portraying a true crime lady(like myself) and gave it such a modern twist. Some cool little references that made me giggle and say, "This is such a fun read." Of course, she threw hints about who the killer could be, but keeps us guessing until the end. I will be sure to look up any other books she has or will have I the future. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read an ARC. I really enjoyed this. If true crime and cold cases are your thing, please take a minute to read this one!
My first read by Keeley Webb is a winner! Killer Content had the perfect pacing, great characters, and a mystery you wanted to jump in and help solve!
Billie Wiley usually does her crime podcast on cases that have already been solved, but when she gets an anonymous comment mentioning that she should look into the unsolved crimes in her hometown she decides to do some digging.
As strange things and threats begin to appear, she realizes that these cold cases are more important than ever. I had many suspicions about different characters, but when it all came together I realized I hadn't quite connected all the pieces! A great read and one I recommend checking out.
Killer Content by Keeley Webb is a dark, addictive mystery that blends true crime obsession with small-town secrets. When crime content creator Billie Wiley returns to her hometown to investigate six unsolved murders from 1995, the suspense never lets up. Webb’s writing is sharp and cinematic, capturing both the eerie nostalgia of the past and the unsettling reality of online sleuthing. Twists, tension, and emotional depth keep you guessing until the end. Perfect for fans of Only Murders in the Building or True Detective, this is a smart, chilling page-turner you’ll be thinking about long after finishing.
I was lucky to get an ARC of Killer Content and I wasn't disappointed!
Billie creates content for social media that revolves around crimes. She ends up getting contacted by someone who wants her to cover some cold cases from the town she grew up in. There are twists and turns as she starts to unravel what really happened thirty years ago. I really enjoyed this and recommend reading. I also really enjoyed the fact that they were from the UK because I think they have great ways of referring to things that just make things sound so much better lol
Very lucky to receive this ARC for Killer Content! The story follows a social media creator as she tries to unearth the secrets of a years old cold case and reveal the identity of the murderer before more deaths occur. This is a fun story with a modern plot line, the characters are easy to get along with and the plot is engaging. A few hints are thrown in along the way but you are kept guessing until the end. I found it a little slow for my liking, although I would definitely recommend it to people new to the genre, or those looking for a light easy read.
