By day Ann Grech lives in the corporate world and can be found sitting behind a desk typing away at reports and papers or lecturing to a room full of students. She graduated with a PhD in 2016 and is now an over-qualified nerd. Glasses, briefcase, high heels and a pencil skirt, she’s got the librarian look nailed too. If only they knew! She swears like a sailor, so that’s got to be a hint. The other one was “the look” from her tattoo artist when she told him that she wanted her kids initials “B” and “J” tattooed on her foot. It took a second to register that it might be a bad idea.
She’s never entirely fit in and loves escaping into a book—whether it’s reading or writing one. But she’s found her tribe now and loves her MM book world family. She dislikes cooking, but loves eating, can’t figure out technology, but is addicted to it, and her guilty pleasure is Byron Bay Cookies. Oh and shoes. And lingerie. And maybe handbags too. Well, if we’re being honest, we’d probably have to add her library too given the state of her credit card every month (what can she say, she’s a bookworm at heart)!

ARC review

Cocky as Puck is the fouth book in the San Diego Seals Hockey series. A workplace, single mom, he hates everyone but them romance.

Keeley, Brayden and Spencer have a sweeping romance. It is sweet the way they fall head first for each other. Brayden and Spencer communicated really well, they made Keeley feel safe after the disaster that was her marriage. They took care of her and her daughter when she needed it most. I liked that.

I understand insta love/lust but this felt rushed, to me! I didn't connect with the characters and their relationships with each other. It felt like a bunch of characteristics were included so that the story feels deep. The "y'all" in most of the dialog was very distracting. He is from Texas, we get it.

The book had it's moments but compared to the first three books, this one is not for me.

I am a self-confessed, jersey wearing San Diego Seals fangirl, no. 10 obviously! Cocky as Puck does not disappoint. Given the Australian influence on this team, I believe both the US and Australian national anthems should be sung at the opening of each game. Okay, maybe just Waltzing Matilda or Men at Work’s Down Under.

Keeley, Brayden, and Spencer are spectacular. Their tension is radiant. Ann Grech crafts them so well that every interaction feels like a scene playing out in front of you, visceral, warm, tender, and vulnerable. At times it almost feels like an invasion of privacy in the best possible way. If you love ice hockey, why choose romance, and scenes that are beautifully spicy as well as emotionally vulnerable, this book, this series, is absolutely for you.

Loved Keeley, Brayden & Spencer

Ann Grech is the Queen of polyamourous romance stories and has done it again. COCKY AS PUCK, San Diego Seals Hockey #4, was a sweet, heartfelt, humourous story. Devouring it in one session was easy, as Ann's writing pulled me in and her characters captured my heart.

Keeley Torres has just had her life turned upside down. She went from elation to heartbreak in a matter of hours and now needs to gather her emotions for the little girl who has become her foster daughter. Brayden Miller is a cocky hockey player who has just been traded to the Seals for an indescretion, but beneath the cockiness is a heart of gold. Spencer Anderson is Brayden's husband, an Aussie singer who has a grumpy demeanour and prefers not "to people", yet whe he loves it is with his whole heart.

From the moment Brayden and Spencer meet Keeley they are drawn to her. The attraction and chemsitry was instant, and the men are determined to make Keeley theirs. These men are magnificent, they wiould do anything to ensure Keeley's happiness. There was respect, understanding, support, encouragement, caring, and some delicious spice. I loved that the communication was open and honest between this throuple. I also loved that Brayden and spencer saccpted little Hannah as if she was their own, they made my heart melt.

COCKY AS PUCK was a beautiful story which had me constantly swooning and smiling. I enjoyed the journey Keeley, Brayden and Spencr went on to become a family unit. I loved the relationships that were established within the Seals' extended family, friends who were there in times of need and celebration. The Bonus Epilogue was a joy to read, set 19 years later it was a glimpse into where this large found family had ended up.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and series and highly recommend reading it.

This is certainly one of those books where you're hooked from the beginning - there's just something about how Grech wrote Keeley in that opening scene that makes you go "I need to see her find her happily ever after" - and boy, did she get it.

The way Grech wrote the boys and their relationship was top notch - the fact they always maintained clear communication about being in a more open relationship, and that they always checked in with each other. Of course, I absolutely adored how they both fell for Keeley - definitely an insta-lust/love situation if I've ever read one - but it was written so well, it was easy to flow with.

Brayden and Spencer were everything for Keeley, and would do anything for her, and I love how they both bring something special to the relationship. And the way Spencer utterly melts his "tough guy" exterior for Hannah? I need more cute scenes like that.

Hannah was absolutely beautiful, and despite the circumstances that landed her in Keeley's care, I love how attuned to the little girl Keels became. What stood out most for me in the narrative was how Keeley was so conscious of keeping Hannah involved in her community and heritage - this was utterly beautiful.

The character growth across all our MCs was amazing to read, and I love that Keeley managed to stand up for herself in the end.

Side note - still giggling about Gauthier and their relationship being the Seals' worst kept secret amongst the players.

What I love about these books is that Grech continues to tie in Australiana into a story set in America - through Aussie characters, and little nods to Aussie culture (LOVED Mem Fox and fairy bread!) - and I hope this is something Grech continues to write into her books, even if we do end up parting ways with the Seals.

Another great read, and I'm so psyched for the little novella teased at the end of this one! My interest was certainly piqued throughout the main narrative.

Keeley Torres has just gone from elation to heartbreak, she had just received the most amazing news that they had been given a baby girl to foster, she has rushed home to tell her husband Simon, she arrives home not only is Simon home, he is not alone! Simon is there with Amanda his work junior agent, and she is around six months pregnant, he is standing there telling Keeley they can be a family with the baby, the little girl, Amanda and the two of them! Keeley is furious and throws him out. She is doing it tough to start off with little Hannah, but she is getting help, from her Mum and work as PR manager at San Diego Seals at least is a little flexible. Brayden Miller is the ultimate cocky hockey player who is married to Spencer Anderson, an Australian singer who is fast becoming very popular in the US, they had just been caught having a threesome with the teams owner’s daughter in one of the storerooms at the arena. Brayden punishment was a transfer to a different team, he was picked up by the San Diego Seals.
The minute that Brayden saw Keeley he knew she would be the perfect girlfriend for him and Spencer and when the three of the got together the attraction and chemistry between the three of them was instant and hot!
This is a beautiful story that follows the developing relationship between three very different personalities that all have the common goal of wanting love and a loving family relationship.

Awesome read!

“Straight to the pool room!” Gotta love a line from an iconic Aussie movie & I adore how Ann includes the Aussie touches (ahem…little boys & fairy bread!) to this series that’s set in the US. 😀

The San Diego Seals series is one of my favourites & Cocky as Puck is def one of the best reads yet! While the spice is sizzling, I love how Keeley, Brayden & Spencer each have their own storyline & they blend with each other perfectly. The Chemistry is hot! The storyline & timelines flow really well with the rest of the series. The spice is definitely 5🌶️!

So much to love about Ann Grech’s stories & writing. I love how she addresses topics in a positive & caring way. Having Keeley concerned about the details of Hannah’s life was heart warming & her genuine care for the boys marriage was respectful. For me, a book needs to paint a picture & have substance - as well as many other things, but it needs to be well written & not machine produced. Ann writes books with heart, soul & passion.

While you can def read this book as a stand alone, I highly recommend starting at the beginning (or read this then go back)with Sweet as Puck ( Loved these guys! - the beginning is a cracka!) and reading from there! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

Keeley is excited to get home and tell her husband Simon that they're finally adopting a baby. She's not happy to get home and find him home with his junior agent, Amanda, who is also very pregnant. She can't believe it when he tells her that it's his baby, Amanda is expecting. Keeley feels the rug getting pulled from under her with his words. Keeley is left to bring up baby Hannah by herself. She finds it tough but is determined to look after Hannah and do her job as PR for the San Diego Seals. She finds herself attracting the attention of player Brayden. She finds herself attracted to him, but she knows he is married to a rockstar, Spencer. She doesn't want to be like her husband and cheat with a married person. Brayden and Spencer make it clear that they both want to be with her and have her as their own. She's not sure what she wants with baby Hannah in the picture too. But the boys go above and beyond, making her and Hannah part of their lives. She cant help falling for her boys. Keeley is worried about starting anything with the boys, worried about losing her job. But her ex keeps stalking her, thinking he can convince her to be back in his life. Ann keeps you turning the pages with all the feels and emotions between the throuple.

This is the fourth book in the series. We get Keely's story, she is the PR manager for the team. She has popped in through out the series. She is a new foster mom to a sweet little girl. My heart goes out to Keely because her life has done a complete 180 on what she thought he future would be. In enters the newest player traded to the team and his rockstar husband. Spencer and Brayden are adorable together, grumpy/sunshine. When the big broody rockstar falls for an adorable kitten who is just has grumpy as him, swoon. That made this book a real winner for me. The guys with little Hannah just melted my heart. This book worked for me because Keely showed respect for Spencer and Brayden's marriage. They just wanted to add a third to their relationship. Right away you can see the deep feelings already forming with the guys, Keely, and little Hannah. I loved that it was shown how important it was that Hannah know her culture and that Keely took that seriously. Yes this book is steamy and intimate, but it also has a lot of heart and feels. I think this is my new favorite book in the series. The characters had me hooked right from the beginning though it was a little rocky for them all at first. I love seeing how close the friendship bonds have grown through out the series not just with the players, but their families as well. A real special group they have with the San Diego Seals.

This was ok. I didn’t mind the MCs but I didn’t love them, particularly because I felt like they were all super dumb at times and making idiotic decisions. Like I’m sorry, you just got cheated on, and you’re going to enter a relationship with ZERO protections? Because that’s what that is, they are already married, you have no legal recourse for protection, unless you do some weird “adoption” thing like I’ve read that gay people did in the past. But regardless, don’t be stupid. And idk, it felt like there was trying to be some build up to angst, to an issue, like with the ex or with custody. But no, nothing actually happened. And I guess I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that she wouldn’t have been able to be a foster mom until she got recertified? Like I just am pretty sure that if your home is given the ok as a foster home, at the very least you would have to notify the agency of a change like getting a divorce! Like that can impact what kind of care you’re able to provide! What if the ex had the only car so now you rely on buses? What if you weren’t working but a SAHM? Idk it just didn’t read as realistic to me. And I did appreciate the acknowledgment that you shouldn’t be hoping to adopt from foster care, the goal is reunification, but her constant “ugh I’m a terrible person for being happy I get her” got old REAL quick

Holy hockey sticks, this book was everything! I went into Cocky as Puck not really knowing what to expect, and honestly, I couldn't put it down.

Brayden is the perfect mix of cocky and sweet, Spencer is the grumpy rockstar who keeps his walls firmly up, and Keeley is an absolute powerhouse. As a single mum, she knows exactly who she is and what she wants, and I loved how she wasn't afraid to own that. The chemistry between all three characters was incredible and their connection felt genuine rather than forced.

What I loved most was watching the relationships develop. The banter between Brayden and Spencer had me smiling, and there were plenty of emotional moments that gave the story real depth. It wasn't just about the romance. It also touched on trust, healing from the past, parenting, and building a life together. The hockey and rockstar elements added something extra without taking over the story.

The found family vibe was one of my favourite parts, and I finished the book with a huge smile on my face. If you enjoy why choose romance with great characters, plenty of heart, humour, and a story that keeps you hooked from start to finish, then this is definitely one to add to your TBR.

I think I will read this author until the end of time. The writing just never disappoints. I can always count on a story with steam and heart, but more than that, there is a group of people that become truly family… not just the characters that fall in love, but the friend group and tribe that assimilate these people. This one is no different. Brayden is the cocky hockey player, whose mouth (and other parts) is always getting him into trouble. He’s an absolute golden retriever. Spencer is a rockstar with a rising profile. He doesn’t always say the most appropriate things, and he’s a bit of German shepherd, but he loves hard and like that breed, he’s a fierce protector. The chemistry between the three is undeniable. The way the guys support each other? Unquestionable. If you want feels, don’t hesitate to grab this one. Keeley has been through SO much with her gaslighting ex, and these two men show up time and again, not only for her but for her new daughter, and show her what good men should be at the very minimum, without expecting anything in return, and it’s such a breath of fresh air. Kudos to AG for another amazing read, and I cannot wait to see where she takes us next!

Devoured this in one day.

I have enjoyed the series so far and Cocky as Puck just hit so good.
Straight from the start you are hit in the feels with Keeley experiencing heartbreak and pulling herself together to be the mum to an orphan foster baby.
Brayden is a golden retriever who needs a firm hand to guide him and that is found in Spencer, a Rock star who is making a name for himself but their foray with a coach's daughter has them in trouble and Brayden needs a new hockey team. Bring on the San Diego Seals.

Once Spencer and Brayden meet Keeley, they are hooked, they are on a mission to make her theirs and it doesn't matter what they have to do, rules that may be broken, they are all in, even with Hannah, the foster daughter, she becomes theirs as well.

This is three people coming together to create a family, finding a bigger family in the team and developing friendships to lean on in tough times and celebrate in the good times.

I enjoyed this more out of the series, it had the feels, the spice was top tier and the love was phenomenal.

The thing I like about Ann Greche’s characters is they aren’t perfect. Brayden needs to grow up and not think with his anatomy all the time because it tanks his chances with his hockey team at the beginning of the book. Keeley wants to keep Hannah and love her but realizes the child is suffering and feels selfish for wanting to keep her, even with her marriage imploding around her. Spencer is emo AF but he is the rock behind his husband. He is there for him no matter what. It doesn’t take long to see who the foundation of this relationship is going to be. I admit, Brayden is the kind of character that gets on my nerves at first. Spencer is closed off and angry at the world, except his husband…and then his circle expands. I love watching characters grow. Brayden and Spencer are two huge walking green flags when it comes to relationships. I did have trouble reading some parts because Simon is a gaslighting jerk who wants everything now that it’s imploded. This story has angst, laughs, unconditional love, found family. It isn’t perfect but it’s worth a read.

Oh my heart. I love this story so much. It is so sweet and beautiful, with a lot of spicy spice. Keeley, Spencer, and Brayden are such a great trio, and throw in adorable Hannah, and my heart exploded with joy. Needless to say, I didn’t get much else done today because I just couldn’t put this book down.

Keeley’s ex did her so dirty, and is totally delusional. She deserves to be worshiped, and these men deliver. The love and devotion of this new family is so beautiful and pure. I love that the team, which is a larger family of its own, is all so devoted to their partners and friends as well. This whole team is just amazing. This was my first book by Ann Grech, and I will be going back and devouring more of this series for sure.

Definitely a recommend if you like spicy MMF romances.

This was such an incredible story I cried just a little and the characters were well written. I honestly loved how they worked well together and never let one another feel bad or left out of their relationship especially with a little one.
Spencer is a Rockstar who is married to Brayden and NHL hockey player who happens to get traded or is another words had to leave for a reason and it was the best thing that happened to them. Keeley unfortunately found out about an ungrateful husband cheating on her with a colleague and acted like it was ok which it was not. Luckily for her two handsome men instantly fell for her and her daughter but this was very hard and scary for her to trust again and didn't want to lose her job since she was the PR manager to Brayden. Well things work out for them or is it the end before something beautiful ever happens.
I highly recommend reading this book if you like a throuple story.

This book had all the things I've come to enjoy from Ann Grech's hockey romances. The banter was sharp, the chemistry was immediate, and the relationship development felt genuine. The San Diego Seals series has built a strong found-family atmosphere, and this installment continues that trend beautifully.

Some of my favorite moments were the interactions among the team because they made the world feel so alive and gave the story that found-family charm I love in sports romances. The series has been praised by readers for its character relationships and engaging team dynamics, and I can definitely see why. I found myself flying through the book because I was invested in the characters and wanted to see how everything would work out.

Cocky as Puck by Ann Grech is a fantastic addition to the San Diego Seals Hockey series, delivering the perfect mix of romance, emotion, humor, and sizzling chemistry. At its core, this novel is based around a confident hockey star, a charismatic rockstar, and a fiercely independent single mom, a why choose romance that offers an engaging story that's about far more than just the steam. One of the things that I really enjoyed about this Why Choose romance was how Grech did an excellent job balancing the romance with family moments, friendship, and personal growth. The chemistry is intense, but it never overshadows the emotional heart of the story. Overall, Cock as Puck was a satisfying read filled with lovable characters, emotional depth, and a well-deserved happily ever after.

Workplace boundaries were discussed. Briefly.

I liked the setup — hockey player, PR manager, grumpy rockstar husband, existing marriage becoming a throuple, and enough life mess to keep things interesting. Keely, Spencer, and Brayden worked as a dynamic, and I did like that this wasn’t just a “two men want the same woman” situation. Spencer and Brayden already had their own relationship, and Keely joining them gave the romance a different angle.

That said, it didn’t quite give me the wow factor. Nothing major was wrong, but a few parts just didn’t fully hit for me. The spice was definitely there and fairly detailed, but a couple of choices weren’t really my thing.

Overall, a solid read. Enjoyable, spicy, and easy to get through — just not one I think will stick with me long-term.

Spencer, Braydon and Keeley meet each other when they are all at a point of transition. Braydon has changed NHL teams, moving across the country. His husband Spencer is a rising rock star who has just had a big hit. Keeley, a PR person for the hockey team, found out her soon-to-be-ex husband was cheating on her the same night she became a foster mom to one year old Hannah. As they navigate the changes in their lives, they are also navigating the attraction they feel for each other. Can they make this three way relationship work?

I have not read the other books in this series. I think it works fine as a stand alone but I imagine if you have read the other books, you have more backstory on some of Braydon’s teammates. I thought this book had strong characters that you want to see get their HEA.

Polyamourous romance at it's best! I adored this one.
Keeley is such a strong character and I love her personality!
Brayden truly is "cocky as puck" but he also has the sweetest side going.
Spencer is his perfect counterbalance and loves with his whole heart and soul.
(Not that he deserves a mention, but Simon can puck right off).

And Hannah is going to win your heart as quickly as she won theirs.

The spice was hot and made even hotter with the clear consent and boundaries being respected as they got to know each other.

Hockey player x rockstar x Hockey social media manager was the book I didn't know I needed.

And the way the epilogue tied all the Seals books together was beyond amazing! Thank you for the early copy, all thoughts are my own.

What a GREAT book!!!! I absolutely devoured this book as I have with all the books in this series. Brayden, Spencer and Keely were wonderful main characters, and Hannah was the best! I enjoyed how there were instant sparks between the 3 of them, but everything that was done from the start was with Keely and Hannah's best interests at heart. All my other favorite characters from prior books were of course included and if you have read the entire series you HAVE to get the bonus epilogue, what a perfect bow around the San Diego Seals. If you have not read the entire series I highly encourage you to, each book is a great read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book for my honest opinion.

Insta lust ignites!

I love a sexy cinnamon roll MMC with a mouth that gets him in all sorts of trouble and Brayden is just fabulous. His personality is loud and fun but underneath it all he's the sweetest good boy ever!

Spencer is a typical grumpy introvert rocker but comes alive when he's with "his" people. The opposite but perfect compliment to Brayden.

Keels is a firehouse of a woman and I've loved her from the start of the series. I loved how open and fierce she is and how she welcomes change and experiences life way better than I could.

This trio is fun, hella sexy and so sweet! A beautiful finale to this series even if I don't want to leave! Funny, witty and wild! Highly recommended!

This isn't my first MMF book and it definitely won't be my last, especially an Ann Grech one! The San Diego Seal's collection is one of my favorites and I love following these couples stories and how they intertwine with one another. The banter and chemistry between Spencer, Brayden & Keely had me melting. The relationship between the three and their own relationship with one another individually was the best.

There were laugh-out-loud moments, swoony romance, and enough tension to keep me flipping pages way past my bedtime. Add in a cute little girl who stole the hearts of all and it was the perfect story. Keely's mom was an added bonus with all her humor and funny lines. Can't wait for the next book in the series (crossing my fingers!)

This book is on absolute fire. It’s full of spice and tension and drama and intensity. I was pulled in to the story from the very beginning and held in its grasp until the last word. The connection and chemistry between Keeley, Spencer, and Brayden was so intense and insane and an absolute inferno. All three of them fit together perfectly but each of them were still portrayed as an individual within the dynamic. It was refreshing how none of them overshadowed the others in the relationship. Their interactions and genuine connection had me easily cheering for them to stay together for the long haul.

Keely's new beginning

Keely finds out her husband has been cheating on her with his co worker at the same time she is supposed to be adopting a little girl who just lost her mom.

Brayden is traded to the team Keely is the PR manager for, and he and his husband Spencer are drawn to her. I liked how they were there for her and Hannah. How open, honest and patient they were with her. They way they all blended was so cute. Even the kitten Midnight. Keely 's ex though ugh he was awful. Her mom had me in stitches.

So fun to read another story from the Seals hockey world! It's interesting how the author creates such special backstories so that the new characters are dealing with different issues to overcome even within some of the same tropes/structures. Boundaries are handled well within the relationship members so they feel considered and heard, which is important in general but especially for poly groups. Excited that there is a prequel coming next! I received this ARC from the author's team.

Oh, but this made me smile all the way from start to finish, apart from those times I was fanning myself from the heat in this.
A hockey player with a dirty mouth, but a soft and squishy centre.
A bad boy, Aussie singer with an even dirtier mouth and the willingness to take charge 😉😉
And Keeley, neither she nor I could resist them.
They care for her and her little girl, plus adopting a kitten.

Keeley was shocked by her ex-husband and put everything she had into raising her foster daughter and her job. She wasn’t expecting to be so attracted to Brayden, the newest San Diego Seal, and his husband. She’s not ready for a relationship, but they guys slowly change her mind by just being there for her and caring for her and her daughter. Spicy and sweet. Loved it!!!!

Absolutely loved this one, I enjoyed seeing the dysfunction the entire book. I was so happy to see Keeley, Spencer, and Brayden together and see them navigate the relationship along with baby Hannah. I loved the way they communicated. I enjoyed the drama, the tensions, the spice, the overall atmosphere of the story. The ending was so good
