This book is a great jumping off point on a variety of topics that my education in Wyoming left out or intentianally ignored. There are no direct citations within the book. However, each chapter recommends further reading and a documentary to follow up with.

Informative, almost like a documentary in words, but the format was a bit tedious. As a white middle class man, I found the information useful in understanding some of the cultural identities and issues that have plagued this country and how we see African Americans.

There were some eye opening pieces of history for sure and the comments and remarks with the sources listed seemed well researched and timely.

This book gives great insight into the establishment to destroy the lives of black and brown people! I would recommend this book for all to read!
