The media believes they have uncovered all the royal scandals about the "killer princess," but there is one game-changing secret remaining that will take the crown in the final book of the Royal Blood series, which Jennifer Lynn Barnes calls "a darker Princess Diaries."
Evangeline Bright has only one shot to prove she isn’t a traitor: by finding the real mastermind behind the plot that almost killed her father, the King of England.
With the help of Kit, her steadfast boyfriend, Evan must find a way to outsmart the real threat to the throne no matter the cost, because the deadliest enemy the monarchy has faced in over a century is back with a vicious vengeance. And Evan soon uncovers the reason why.
A scandal so huge that if it ever becomes public, it will tear the monarchy apart.
To protect her loved ones, Evan must silence her enemies for good—because if the truth gets out, it won’t just shatter the monarchy. It’ll shatter Evan’s entire family.

First of all - this whole series is REALLY good and I'm SO glad I'm back to reading physical books! I had been desperate for this to come out because there was so much at stake and I think this story and the accents would also make for a really great audiobook!!!
*LOTS of fun reveals, and I really wasn't expecting quite a few of them!!!
HOUSEKEEPING: * Spice: --/5 Romance but no spice! * Reader Age Suggestions: New adult + - * Content Warnings: -- * Kindle Unlimited: ❌ * Part of A Series: ✅ / Can it be read alone?: No - You def need to read these in order!
How many international incidents can one teenager survive before it starts to feel unrealistic? Apparently, more than I ever imagined—and somehow it still works.
I absolutely loved this final installment in the Royal Blood series. It delivered everything I wanted from a conclusion: emotion, action, depth, and a genuinely satisfying ending.
I only discovered this series about two months ago, so I was thrilled that book three was releasing so soon after I started. At the same time, I wasn’t ready for it to be over but craved to get my hands on an early copy. When I saw the audiobook appear on the PRH Audio Influencer app, I immediately dropped everything to start listening. I’m so thankful for the complimentary access.
Kristen Sieh returns as narrator and once again does a phenomenal job. She captures Evan perfectly with her American accent while seamlessly shifting between the various British-accented characters. She’s an absolute joy to listen to, and the production quality remains excellent throughout, with clean audio and a polished listening experience.
As for the story itself, I loved the way it ebbed and flowed. Just when it felt like everything was finally being wrapped up, another twist or development would pull me right back into the action. The pacing kept me fully engaged, and the author did an excellent job tying up the many loose ends that had accumulated throughout the series.
Fans of the series are going to love this final installment. While I strongly recommend reading the books in order to fully appreciate the story and character development, I think a new reader could pick up book three and still gather enough context to enjoy the ride. That may not have been the intention, but it’s a testament to how well the story is constructed.
It’s always bittersweet saying goodbye to a world you’ve come to love, but this was exactly the kind of ending this series deserved. Satisfying, emotional, and well worth the journey.
so excited for evangeline to have to endure 5+ life threating situations in a row!! really breaking barriers in the genre of girl becomes princess and we love to see it
AHHHHHHHH! What a crazy emotional damaging way to the end the trilogy, although it's not so damaging because we got a happy ending and honestly girl deserved it. I was not expecting that plot twist, like in 'Royal Blood' during the holidays when Laura and Helene wanted to talk privately i was thinking about how there possibly talking about Evan being next in line for the throne because she's older than Maisie, not the fact that Maisie ISN'T............. and a whole bunch of other tea i'm not gonna mention because i don't want to spoil too much (the book just came out), everyone deserves their *gasp* moment. I feel so bad for everything they put poor Evan through, honestly i'm surprised the author didn't give her a villain arc or a crash out moment because she needed that and i literally did it in her place. Maisie's character irritated me so much, i hate her, she is awful sister i don't know how people have siblings like her and don't want to throttle them. My blood pressure goes up every time i read about her and the family. The only lovable characters this entire series to me were Kit and Tibby because despite what happens they never abandoned her (well Kit kinda did at one point but i don't blame because he did crash out and was not emotionally stable, he left got himself a therapist and went back for his woman. Mental health is important!) even Jenkins gave her a kinda cold shoulder because he was "worried" like you wanting space doesn't make her less in danger, but whatever it happens, man needed a break. I love how the story also shows what a real healthy relationship looks like through Evan and Kit, it's not pretty, but if you continue supporting and communicating it becomes the most beautiful and stable bond ever. They chose to heal together and be with each other through good and bad and that's real love. That's the standard goal, you know without the dramatics. Also they get a happy ending!!!! I love happy endings, series is definitely worth the emotional coaster.

a scandal so massive it would tear the monarchy apart. 🔥 evan has to silence her enemies.
protect her family.
and bury a truth that would shatter everything. 👑
It was a long two year wait for this final book in the trilogy and Aimee Carter does NOT disappointment. I went back and read the last two chapters of Book 2 to catch myself up and once I started reading Royal Vengeance, I couldn't put it down. Read it in one day. The story picks up right from the ending of book 2 and doesn't stop. Scandal, affairs, murder, attempted murder, family drama, heartbreak, this book has it all. Evan is one of the strongest written YA Female MC. She is a warrior who will risk life and limb to protect those she loves.
Not a spoiler in a sense, but I did like how the mental health of one of the characters was addressed. Trauma affects men and women and Carter addresses it in a way that never makes light of the issue. She dives into it, head on. I would LOVE a follwup novella or something along those lines, to see where the characters are down the road.
Entirely believable that Ben murdered multiple people, attempted to murder more, and just got house arrest because privilege. Excellent demonstration of a universally broken system, no notes.

ahhh i love this trilogy! i feel like books like this, with a secret royal daughter trope, often rely on that trope being the only highlight of the book and the authors usually resort to writing about some petty drama that gets resolved too easily and is often really cringe. i want to applaud the author for writing an amazing, layered plot, with high stakes that highlights the main character and shows their growth throught the trilogy.
i loved how the book ended and everyone got exactly what they deserved! it also showed how complex this situation is and what consequences it has for every single member of the family. i was surprised by the twist involving maisie, because i think it made everything just a bit too complicated, but i absolutely love how it got resolved. the villain was sooo hell-bent on everything going their way and i loved that they didn't give up easily and were willing to do everything and anything to achieve their goal, no matter the cost. that really showed that the author was really putting much thought into this to make it entertaining and didn't want to make it easy for the characters.
maisie and evan had a pretty realistic relationship progress considering everything that was at stake, but i think their relationship was pushed too far towards the ending. again, i loveloveloved that everyone got their happy ending and we got a glimpse into the future! i fear no book with similar plot will ever top this.
Overall I enjoyed how the series ended. Mayyyyyybe 4 stars is a little strong for this specific entry, but credit for wrapping it all up.
There were still a few twists and turns throughout this story. At one point about 1/2 way through I thought, "this is about wrapped up, ohh, we still have 50% to go, I guess not" and the second 1/2 had some .
I'll always be a sucker for stories (fact or fiction) about monarchies!
Been waiting for this one since I discovered the Royal Blood series last year.
5 stars
The first half of the book was not my favorite. Evan felt edgy and angry in a way she hasn’t before. But then it started having more of a familiar feeling and everything was wrapped up fairly well. 5 stars for my feelings about the series overall.
This was such a fun series! I enjoyed it so much and I’m sorry for it to end! Crazy twists and turns all along. I couldn’t put this down! I will definitely be checking out more by this author soon!
