A billionaire MMC obsessed and can't let go? yes please! I love this Tempt series from Jenna, this is Book 5, a standalone with interconnected characters following the billionaire Mackenzie family. Jasper is the younger brother to Graham (Book 4) and the new CEO to the luxury Huxley hotel group after taking over from his brother. Halle is the chief of staff and has been Sloane's right hand lady for the past five years. Sloane is the sister to the Mackenzie brothers and also works in the group. These two were just sizzling together, trying to keep things professional in the work place following a short fling they had in London before Halle uprooted her life to move to LA to follow Sloane. Halle is a fiercely independent, strong single momma and focused on her career while providing for her family - Kai, her son and her parents. Jasper has been unable to let things go since London and is determined to show Halle he's a different man. Low angst, low drama, just all the feels for this spicy, swoony work place romance full of pining on both sides, some series longing for more and family found vibes. Little 5yr old Kai is awesome and I loved all the support from the family for these two.

I have been so excited for Jasper’s book for awhile now! We have seen him as a side character throughout this entire series, and we all know this man deserves to find love!

Almost a year ago, Jasper and Halle had a whirlwind romance that quickly ended when Jasper left London went back to LA. Now that Halle has moved, along with her five year old son, to LA to join the team, Jasper is hoping for a second chance.

But Halle doesn’t make it easy on him.

I loved to see Jasper all in from the very beginning. He was 100% all about Halle and I loved that for both of them. Halle deserved someone who put her first.

Loved seeing all of the other series couples and how their lives are moving forward since their books ended.

This is the fifth book in this impressive series, and this is Jasper and Halle’s story.
Halle is a single mom to her son, and she relocates to LA, only to find out that the man she has a fling with, is a workaholic notorious playboy billionaire, who has just become the CEO of the company for which she is working, as well as being her boss’s brother.
This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, close proximity, angst, secrets, making choices, challenges, second chances, revelations, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and heartwarming, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Jasper and Halle had a summer fling in London. When Halle and her son Kia relocate to LA, the two end up living and working close after she steps into an interim SVP role during her boss (and Jasper’s sister’s) absence.

I couldn’t get enough of these two. Jasper is trying to prove himself as CEO while falling hard for Halle and Kia. Halle is a devoted, hardworking mom navigating some personal struggles. The character growth and romance development was well-balanced.

Tension, longing, and so many heartfelt moments, especially with Halle’s son, Kia. I love a single-parent romance where the child has a role in the story.

Now that Jasper's got his one time fling, Halle, back in his life, he's going to have that second chance if it's the last thing he does. But he has his work cut out for him because Halle's got serious reservations about being involved with anyone at her job, and walls sky high because of her ex. Not to mention, and most importantly, she's got someone in her life who is her #1 priority. She can't just begin a new relationship without it affecting Kai, and that absolutely is her fear. Can Jasper prove to her that being with him won't hinder her career, that he'll do anything for her, and most of all, that he will love and treat Kai as if he's his own son?



Halle honestly did not stand a chance once Jasper set his sights on her, on a second chance. He's too sweet, too swoony and way too good of a father figure to Kai for her to have withstood his wooing. And that physical connection, their chemistry? Damn! But really, it's their heart, their emotional connection that has me loving them so much. I love this series, and I think this one may be my favorite yet.

I’ve followed this series since the first book came out, so I was excited to read Jasper and Halle’s story. Jasper was a nice character in the previous books, and I really wanted to know more about his relationship with Halle, especially because it was hinted that something had happened between them in the past when they worked together in London.

Jasper worked closely with Halle when he visited the London office to stand in for his sister, Sloan, while she went sailing. Halle was Sloan’s chief of staff, so she and Jasper spent a lot of time together at work. They had a secret romance while Jasper was in London, but while Jasper wanted something more, Halle knew she had to think about her son and what was best for him. After that, Jasper became the CEO of his family company, and since his sister moved to LA, he knew Halle and her son would be moving too. He was nervous and excited to work with Halle again, and I loved reading how he never forgot the moments they shared in the past.

Halle never stopped thinking about Jasper, either, but she always felt they couldn’t be together because he was her boss’s brother. Her main focus was her son and helping her mom, especially now that her dad had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Halle and Jasper’s chemistry was still strong, and while they tried to fight their feelings, it was sweet to read how kind Jasper was to Halle’s son, Kai, and how quickly Kai warmed up to him. Halle was promoted to SVP while her boss was on maternity leave, which meant she would be working even closer with Jasper, and she couldn’t deny how much she still cared about him.

Jasper was honest with Halle about his feelings, and I loved how patient he was while she tried to understand what she wanted. Their connection was strong from the beginning, and even though Halle was still scared of the future, it was nice to read how she finally decided to focus on their relationship. I enjoyed their steamy scenes and how they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They tried to spend as much time together as possible, and it was heartwarming to see their moments with Kai and how they slowly started to feel like a family.

Halle was nervous about everyone finding out about her relationship with Jasper, but he didn’t want to hide his love for her. She had a lot to think about, and Jasper was hurt when he thought she wasn’t ready to be open about them. It was great to read how Halle finally decided to fight for Jasper and her job, and how they told Jasper’s family the truth.

I also loved how Jasper didn’t hesitate to protect Halle from the company’s board, and how, after a big plot twist, they finally stopped hiding their relationship at work. Their happy ending felt well-deserved, and it was touching to read about how their family, with Kai and Rosie, was growing.

I thought this would be the last book in the series, but after that plot twist, I’m excited to see what comes next. Pierce has been a constant character throughout the series, so I’m very curious to read his story with Tabitha and learn more about her new family.

5 They Won’t Ever Be Done Stars!!

I’m a sucker for a single parent book and when it’s written by Ms. Hartley, well I’m just in heaven! After a sizzling affair in London that ended when Jasper moved to LA, these two may have longed for each other but knew long distance wouldn’t work so they “moved on” as best they could. Jasper taking over for his brother and Halle concentrating on her son and parents providing the best life possible. When she gets promoted within the Mackenzie empire, she too heads to LA. I was on high alert for their first interaction with each other in the headquarters… and it was amazing!! Their sizzling chemistry hasn’t dimmed one iota. But now they’re truly off limits because they work together every single day in positions of power within the company… a potential recipe for disaster.

As successful as Jasper is, his self-doubt and inner anxiety of if he’s the right person for this job had me feeling a little heartbroken for him. One of the best things about this book in addition to their beautiful and steamy second chance is how Halle is able to get Jasper to understand that he’s more than capable and is the exactly right person to be the CEO.

I loved their push and pull as they navigated everything. As they finally give in to what was inevitable, I got my fan turned on because my goodness these two heat it up big time! Of course, they have to keep everything quiet but that doesn’t last for long because it’s apparent to everyone with the heated looks they give each other every time they’re in the same room. The delicious slow burn made the first time they finally give in so worth the wait!

Halle is an amazing woman and mother. She’s fiercely independent, strong willed and her world revolves around Kai. This little boy has invaded my heart and the fact that Jasper had an instant connection with him had a huge smile on my face. Kai is the added bonus in Jasper’s life and this little boy needs Jasper in his life because his dad is basically non-existent.

The further I read the more I fell in love with these two. They bring out the best in each other, but they also allow each other to show their inner feelings and vulnerabilities. Something they’ve not had with other people they’ve been in relationships with. This book is everything I’ve been waiting for since I read the first book in this series. While it’s the fifth book in this series, it can absolutely be read as a standalone, I think once you read this book, if you haven’t already read the previous books, you’ll make a beeline to go one-click the rest of them!

Discretion is the fifth book in the Tempt series and can be read as a standalone.

I was only two chapters in and could already tell this was going to be a five star read! Jenna Hartley had me laughing and crying within the first few pages!
I got completely absorbed in the story, losing track of time, which is rare for me. Hartley’s incredible writing always just seems to click with me and I always admire how realistic and honest it is.

I absolutely loved and was obsessed with Jasper! Every chapter I had a note saying how much I adored him.
His anxiety, the pressure, his devotion and longing for Halle and her son, Kai, just made him even more relatable and sweet. I honestly need a Jasper in my life; his, Kai and Rosie’s (his dog) relationship made my heart melt.

I liked Halle, she was intelligent, driven, a fantastic mum and businesswoman. However, I can’t say I liked her thinking process or actions towards Jasper.

I absolutely loved the book club and Darla at the beginning of the book and wished we saw more of them! I also really enjoyed seeing some of my favourite characters from previous books.

Jasper and Halle’s chemistry was undeniable and intense. I really liked how their past was structured and revealed to us, it made their relationship feel more enhanced and elaborated.

I must mention the twist at end which was shocking but also so great. I loved how everything was wrapped up - a perfect ending.

Looking forward to Jenna Hartley’s new hockey series (I love hockey romance!), I think I already know the first couple ...
Overall, this story was emotional and engaging; it hit the ground running and never let up! This entire series is a must read!

After having read the four previous installments in this series I was so glad that we were getting more! I've been looking forward to this fifth book ever since. I jumped right back into the Tempt world. I enjoyed this story so very much!

Halle and Jasper's journey pulled me right in! Jasper is the new CEO of his family's business, Huxley Grand. Halle works at the same company as a chief of staff and is a single mom to son, Kai. They spent the summer together last year which has stayed with both of them. Little Jasper and Halle know that they'd be working together. Will they ignore their past? or is what's between them worth taking a chance on?

Jasper and Halle had all of my attention right from the start! I so enjoyed the fact that these two had history and how work brought them back together. From their past, working together, personal things, and everything still between them, I couldn't wait to see how Halle and Jasper would deal with it all!

Halle was such a great mom to Kai and put her all into her job as well. I admired her and the realness she showed throughout. Halle got right into my heart! I enjoyed getting to see Jasper take on the CEO role to his family's business. I loved how he was with Halle and Kai. Oh how he had me falling! The chemistry between Halle and Jasper was undeniable and blushworthy! I wanted these two to be together and I couldn't wait to see how they'd tackle everything between them. I felt so many things with Jasper and Halle!

The moments Halle and Jasper shared with Kai touched my heart throughout! I adored Kai and what all that he brought to the story.

I was so happy to get more of the Tempt world and it's crew of characters!

Jenna is a new author for me and writes this forbidden romance genre so well.
Slow burn....this book has it in spades. How Jasper contained his love and lust for Halle has me in awe! He knew what he wanted and was willing to play the waiting game, no matter how long it took.
Jasper knew when Halle moved to LA with his sister, to work within their company he would not rest until he could make her his again.
Having a short summer affair whilst he was in London , the long 8 months that they had been apart did not decrease his need for her.
BUT!! Halle wanted nothing to do with him!! (pssst: Yeh Right!!)
Halle knew, with Jasper now as the CEO to the company she worked for, she definitely could not return his feelings...purely professional is what they needed to be! Trouble is, she still had feelings for him, so she tried to bury them.
Loved the angst. Poor Jasper, trying so hard to make Halle see reason.
Loving Kai, her 5 year old did nothing to dampen his feelings for her. Just increased his need to make them his family.
If you love a true romance story with all the feels, then you are going to love Jasper and Halle's story as they navigate the corporate world, plus his family whilst they try and hold their feelings at bay........
Who folds first? How can 2 powerful players in a world that does not accept relationships within the workplace, hold themselves together?
This story is brilliant in its timeline, and has you hanging on....I read most of the book into the early hours of the morning, only to pick it up as soon as I woke the next day....it's that good!

I have been patiently waiting for Jasper's book. He was always kind of hiding in the background doing his own thing. Everyone thought he was a playboy/party boy. But I think he was hiding so we would all think that and not realize the amazingly sweet and caring man that he actually is. I truly enjoyed getting to know Jasper. He knew what his heart wanted and he wasn't stopping until he got it and he didn't care what anyone thought.. well he did but it was mostly because he didn't want anyone to hurt Halle. Halle was amazing. She was a power woman finally coming into her full self. But she also annoyed me JUST a little bit. That annoyance mostly had to do with her fear of losing everything that she worked for and not being able to provide for her son. But I also think it was her constant end date thought that bothered me. She kept dwelling on what would happen when things ended. Yes I understand her wanting to make sure that her future was always secure. But she couldn't just live in the here and now. She couldn't think happy thoughts about their future.. even when Jasper told her that he loved her, that she was it for him. I'm just thankful that these two finally got their HEA. We can't forget about Kia. That little cutie would win anyone's heart. Little kids do me in every time.

Now for that surprise... I'm not sure what to think.. But it would be interesting to seeing what happens from here..

He’s ready to embrace the challenges of love to have Halle and her son, Kai, in his life. I loved how Hartley captures Jasper’s evolution, both in his career and as a person.

The tension between Jasper and Halle is electric, making their slow burn all the more rewarding. The longing and pining are beautifully crafted, and when they finally give in, the chemistry practically ignites the pages.

Halle’s struggles as a devoted mother, coupled with her challenges of caring for a sick parent from afar while striving for professional success, are so relatable. I loved how Jasper made Halle and Kai his priority, showing unwavering support while respecting her need to take the lead.

It was a delight to see so many familiar faces from previous books return for Jasper and Halle’s story. I loved catching up with the other couples, getting updates on their lives, and seeing them support Jasper.

If you’re in the mood for a wonderful forbidden love in the workplace romance, Discretion is the perfect pick for you.

What a book! I love Jenna's writing so much, it always hooks from the first page all the way to the end. The plot, the characters, everything was simply perfect with this book and I am so glad that I got to read it!!

I love a best friend's brother but put it with best friend/boss's brother with workplace romance and I am on the floor straight away. Top-tier trope to be honest.

Jasper has recently taken over as CEO of the family business after his brother resigned from the position. Jasper is quite literally everything you could want in a man, a good listener, actually cares, emotionally vulnerable and says how he is feeling. And Halle, I LOVED Halle so damn much, Halle is a stunning single mom who works for Jasper's sister and they previously had a fling in England before Jasper went back home but now Halle is moving to LA exactly where Jasper is.

The tension that slowly built up between our two characters was simply crazy to put it mildly. It felt slow in the beginning but the wait made it so much better than I could have ever expected. I went through so many emotions while reading this book and that is what makes me always love a book more than I could ever say. The connection between Halle and Jasper is pure perfection and fated.

I loved all the little things in the book like how much Jasper cared for Halle and her son and made sure he was included. Being there for them whenever they needed it. The side characters really completed the book for me and I love these types of families. This book could not have been better in any way for me!!

Jenna Hartley has done it again. I absolutely loved this story! “Discretion” closes out the siblings' arc in such a satisfying and emotional way, yet still manages to drop some surprising hints that have me very excited for what could be coming next. 👀

Halle and Jasper’s chemistry hooked me from page one. Their past summer fling sets the perfect foundation for a second-chance, slow-burn romance that feels both grown-up and irresistibly swoony. Jasper is peak golden-retriever billionaire energy supportive, charming, patient, and completely devoted not just to Halle, but to her son as well. Watching him step into that role with such natural warmth was one of my favorite parts.
Halle’s journey as a single mom trying to protect her heart, her career, and her stability made every choice feel meaningful. The workplace tension, the boss’s-brother dynamic, the forced proximity,every trope hit in the best possible way. Their relationship is tender, respectful, and full of emotional depth, and Jenna’s writing shines as always.

Even though Jasper wants a second chance with Halle,being her bosses brother means Halle wants to keep things professional.
But OH MY SWOON Jasper is just so irresistable..He is pure book boyfriend GOLD.!!..The way he adores Halle and her son wanting to take care of them,is beautiful.
He makes it clear his feelings for Halle and I don't know how Halle can control herself around him.
He falls so hard for her and they are so Amazing together,the chemistry is evident and they just make sense.Jasper has the patience of a saint and he is prepared to go slow just to win her heart forever.
Jenna Hartley has written such a satisfying romance with lots of sexual tension and feels I loved reading it,and enjoyed the HEA..

✔ Ahh this is one book I was rooting for the Lil guy- That he gets unconditional love. So while rooting for him I was in short rooting fot Halle and Jasper. I absolutely loved the connection between the two. It was sweet, swoony and spicy. I loved how the entire family closes ranks and gives support. More than Jasper, I was in awe of Halle's character. She was such a strong and independent woman. Jasper and Kai's bond too was amazing. All in all a nice good read.

I genuinely don’t know how I managed to miss the first four books in this series… or how I’ve never picked up a book by this fabulous author before. But diving into Book 5 — the final instalment in Jenna Hartley’s Tempt Series — has me absolutely hooked. Discretion is everything I love in a romance: a captivating second-chance love story, a devoted single mum heroine, and that irresistible extra twist — it’s also a boss’s-brother romance. Irresistible.

This final chapter gives us Jasper’s long-awaited HEA, and what an emotional slow burn it is. Eight months ago, he left the UK behind and returned to the States, but his heart stayed with Halle and her sweet son, Kai. Now fate has intervened. Halle and Kai are in LA, and she’s landed a job working for Jasper’s brother — putting her right back in Jasper’s orbit.

The sparks between them ignite instantly, as though they never faded, but Halle is determined to keep things strictly professional. I am honestly sad to see this series end, as each book has been a joy to read. Discretion is the last book and we finally get Jasper's story. He's been a secondary character since the first book and he has always intrigued me. Now his road to HEA was not the easiest but it was worth every moment.
Ms. Hartley delivers a beautifully written, emotionally charged, forbidden second-chance romance that had me unable to put it down. Jasper and Halle had a risky romance a year ago in London, but life got in the way. Jasper has never forgotten her and she still holds his heart but now he has to face her daily at his family's company. The embers are still burning for one another; however, there is so much at risk if they allow those embers to turn into a full-fledged five-alarm fire. Halle has to worry about; her parents, her son and her job. Is the love that they have for one another worth the risk? I loved how determined Jasper was to win her heart over once again and how he was determined to make sure she would never lose anything if she just let him in. Their slow-burn relationship was beautiful to watch grow and become one of trust, true love and caring. The scenes from the past gave us an insight into their relationship and the connection they shared.
This series is one that I will remember for a long time and will definitely be reading again.

Sign me up any day for a billionaire who’s not only obsessed with a woman he can’t really have because of the workplace but also loves her son like his own…yes please! From the very beginning, Jasper and Halle’s relationship has been forbidden but they both truly cannot help themselves, especially Jasper, which only adds to the tension on every page of this book. Both of these characters go through some personal growth in their new roles at Huxley Hotel and I really feel like it added to their overall maturity and strength of their relationship in the end and made it stronger. Jasper completely won me over with the way he loved Halle’s son, Kai, from the very beginning. He stepped into a father figure role, no questions asked so it never felt forced which I loved and clearly made Halle fall for him even more. Halle’s a badass working mama bear who will do anything to make life better for her son and parents. She goes through a lot of internal struggle and hesitation with her relationship with Jasper because of her previous marriage and is determined to not have to rely on a man again. Jasper truly lets her shine independently both in their relationship and in her work, showing her that she is his equal in every way. This book is full of tension and spice, including a few in office moments behind locked doors which are always a fav of mine. And the locked in the stairway scene, if you know you know. Definitely would recommend to anyone who likes a billionaire CEO, single mom, secret relationship, forbidden work place romance, slow burn and spicy book!

Jenna Hartley writes the kind of billionaire romances that feel grounded, and this one worked for me from the start. Halle is a single mom trying to keep her life steady after uprooting everything for a fresh start in LA. Jasper is the man she had a fling with last summer… and now he’s suddenly the CEO of her company and very much back in her orbit.

What stood out most was the way Jasper treats Halle’s son, Kai. He listens to him, encourages him, and actually pays attention. Those moments were some of my favorites. They made the relationship feel bigger than chemistry. It felt like he was choosing both of them every time he showed up.

Halle spends most of the book trying to protect the life she’s built, and I liked that the conflict wasn’t dramatic for the sake of drama. It felt realistic for a mom who knows one wrong move could cost her everything she’s worked for. And Jasper is charming without being pushy, steady without being bland, and very clearly in this for the long haul.

If you’re into boss’s-brother tension, workplace complications, a mom who refuses to settle, and a billionaire who is secretly a soft-hearted mess for the people he cares about, this one is an easy pick.

This fourth book in the series about the billionaire Mackenzie family focuses on Jasper Mackenzie and his hopes for a second chance at love with Halle. Their secret summer fling in London ended due to long distance.

Now that Halle has moved to LA, Jasper is struggling to keep their relationship strictly professional as Halle has requested. Jasper makes every effort to spend time with Halle and her 5 year old son Kai. I loved how focused he was on being their for Halle and his support for her success within his family’s company.

Halle asks him to keep their relationship secret, mostly due to everything she has on her plate and her fear of how her close friend/boss & his sister will react. Halle is fiercely independent and a single mom focused on her career. Her independence is somewhat a reaction to her experience with a less than supportive ex-husband. She’s also trying to help her parents and provide a better life for her son.

Their relationship is secretive yet very supportive, Jasper is incredible with Kai. He also wants to be seen as more than his billionaire playboy reputation.

I have been waiting for this mans boom since the beginning!! Jasper is that sibling that has a tinge of a secret behind his personality, but you just have to peel back the layers to see the real him. Jasper is head over heels, obsessed with Halle and Kai. Halle is a badass woman working in a big company, always wanted to prove herself worthy pf the position she has. Work and her son are important and she wont give it up. Enter Jasper back in her life and he makes it hard for resist!

Things I love
- how obsessed Jasper is with Halle and Kai. He will drop everything he needs to do to help them.
- I loved the pining. You can feel how much they wanted one another- how they truly were soulmates.
- I loved how easily Jasper connected with Kai. He loved that little boy and was a second father figure to him. He would do anything for that boy.
- Rosie… duh!!!

I really enjoyed their relationship!

Some things I didn’t love
- what Halle said to Jasper (I understood where it came from) but that was truly hurtful and made him question everything.
- The board…
- How rushed the ending felt. She was pushing him off for so long then they started dating and it just felt a tad bit rushed.

I cannot wait for the future has in store for Jenna and her writing!!

Discretion is slow burn sweetness, angsty, and intense while also filled with so much love and all of these great cameos from characters in other books. Jasper is a dynamic and complex man, forced into a role he didn’t actually want, and doing his best to do right by his family and his employees. It’s amazing how only Halle can truly see the toll all that takes on him, and yet even she continues to judge him for who and how others perceive him as well. Her moments of awareness, where she is really paying attention, are so beautiful. Halle is coping with her own set of challenges, while struggling to break free of the mindset that all men are like her ex. Jasper keeps showing her—and showing up for her—in so many different ways. It’s clear he is all in from the moment we pick up this book. I enjoyed how author Jenna Hartley wove memories into the present and crafted gorgeous friendships (Kai and Rosie!!!) all while ratcheting up the tension between Halle and Jasper with each turn of the page. From start to finish this was a great read with building sizzle and a lovely payoff at the end.

Full disclosure: I’ve read the entire Tempt series by Jenna Hartley and absolutely adored each book. “Discretion” is no exception. This time around Jasper and Halle are trying to find their way to their own happily ever after. The two have a history, and Halle works for Jasper’s company, making her his employee. Complicating things even further, Halle is a single mom and is afraid any impropriety will lead to her losing her job. As always, the author has created characters that are multi-dimensional and interesting. You can feel the pull of attraction between Jasper and Halle, and the anxiety and worry they deal with while navigating their relationship and the clandestine nature of it. Jasper is so easy to fall for, and his dedication to Halle and her son Kai is swoon worthy. And you also feel for Halle as a single working mom, a woman who is feeling the stresses of life while also falling for a man who makes her feel so much. Once again Jenna Hartley has given readers a story of love and yearning, desire and devotion, all tied up in a world of luxury. Get ready to lose a few hours to this wonderfully written romance.

Sometimes the rules are made to be broken or at least in this scenario it would seem so. Jasper a billionaire who is filling in for his sister in her UK office spends late nights going over reports and discussing proposals of how to better the chain of hotels that he and his siblings inherited from their grandparents…in walks the gorgeous assistant or what have you who’s whole world is exploding. And she just needs a break or something to release all this built up stress…then she breaks it off when he leaves to go back to the States. Fast forward a year and Halle is moving to the states…the fire, the connection and the feeling of completeness all still remains. Both try so hard to remain professional but staying away is another kind of torture. Watching them struggle separately with their feelings and then everyone throwing them together…it’s straight fire. But can their relationship survive the board’s decision? Will Halle lose everything all over again? Will jasper lose his new position as CEO? Don’t ask me… lol. Read to find out. If you like a good taboo relationship romance look no further…wonderful read!
