Quick whimsical novella but I was bored. Their attraction and the whole soulmate thing was just too insta for my tastes. The Christmas vibes were fun and remember me a lot of The Santa Clause.

Let me preface this by saying that I’m not one for cozy, happy Christmas themed books whatsoever, but I gave it a shot since I love Rachel Van Dyken’s work. Clause and Effect was a little too jolly and bright for me.

If you love Christmas, Hallmark movies, and don’t mind insta-love relationships (and this is truly insta-love), then you will most likely enjoy this book. But if you’re a Grinchy bah-humbug like me, you might find this holiday romance to be entirely too sweet. It’s not bad, it’s just not something I personally enjoyed. I have no doubt that this book will find its intended audience though.

What can I call Clause & Effect by Colet Abedi and Rachel Van Dyken? Mysterious? Magical? Definitely filthy hot. Sweeter than Christmas? I cannot decide because this book is such an incredible mix of things in a never before read plot idea for me! Charlie was heartbroken and miserable when her best friend dragged her to Antarctica trip. Little did she know that she will find a dreamy sexy man right out of fantasy..or should I say fairytale?

The story can be definitely called Charlie and the heir apparent of Santa Clause. Shocked? Confused? Curious? I WAS TOO. From the safety of their ice buggy, Charlie and her group watch a hunk iof a man face and stop a polar bear. That man who proposes one sinful night but she has to sign the CLAUSE. A contract. She threw caution to the wind and comes to know that Stetson is actually Santa's heir apparen. The myth isn't just myth. It was just so dazzling and majestic and glorious to read about Christmas miracles existing like that. Its still in your imagination but isn't that so epic? Then there is a little issue of Stetson feeling Charlie to be his fated mate and absolutely terrified to lose her like her mother...so he just pushed her away after one life changing day. Well the hero cannot be one till he feels heartbreak right?

The reindeer, the village, the elves ( who are portrayed as just dwarves), the Christmas miracle..all were re-imagined in a way that it feels very very real. The story was overflowing with holiday cheer, cozy winter and scorching hot chemistry. You won't regret if you let Charlie take on to this very naughty but nice journey.

Clause and Effect was an absolutely adorable Christmas read that I couldn’t put down. I started it and finished it in one sitting—just a few short hours—and loved every minute of it. It’s the kind of story that pulls you in instantly and wraps you up like a warm blanket.

The holiday atmosphere was one of my favorite parts. The author did such a great job building the world and the town that I could picture everything so clearly, from the snowy streets to the cozy moments. It made the whole story feel magical and alive. I never thought a Christmas story could feel so fun, emotional, and swoon-worthy all at once.

This book made me laugh, it made me tear up, and by the end, I honestly didn’t want it to be over. The characters were charming, and the story had just the right mix of humor, heart, and holiday magic. After finishing it, I was left wishing the story could continue—and maybe even wishing for a little Christmas magic of my own.

If you’re looking for a quick, feel-good Christmas read that will make you smile and feel all the festive emotions, Clause and Effect is definitely worth picking up

Clause & Effect is written by Colet Abedi and Rachel Van Dyken. It is a book that has a very Hallmark feel however with some heat.

Charlie and Stetson encounter one another and the chemistry and pull between them is immediate. Stetson is harboring a secret that he chooses to share with Charlie and the questions are will she understand and also, can she keep it to herself? Will the magic of the season play a role?

This feel-good holiday story with a hefty dose of heat is a great way to get yourself in the spirit of the season!

I absolutely Love this book!! It is fun, sweet, unique and magical!
Charlie has not always had the greatest experience with Christmas or with dating. While on a trip she meets a mysterious and handsome stranger, who doesn’t feel like a stranger.
Stetson is strong and handsome and seems to be drawn to Charlie. When he meets Charlie he ends up presenting her with a Clause that could change both their lives.
I love everything about this story, I could not put it down. The chemistry and playfulness. Yes there were a few sad moments, but it does have a HEA! I definitely recommend Clause & Effect!!

Feels like eggnog, spiced cider, and happiness

Clause & Effect is ridiculously good time. The wonder of Christmas and a fantastic happily ever after threaten the "normal" reads on this bookworm's tbr.

The perfect amount of tension, awe, and emotions make tearing up before Christmas 100% worth it. No shame in telling my family is was a book that made me cry and not papercuts from wrapping presents. (Can I get some elf help here!?!)

This Clause is a keeper. You may want to shake his bells but the smile will leave you melting like snow in front of the fire.

Trust me, this is the one Claus you need in your life!

Clause and Effect is a fantastic holiday read. If you want that naughty Santa then look no further you will find it in Stetson. He is so hot and not your typical looking Santa. Charlie is spending the holidays traveling with her bestie and her besties husband. When your friends have money why not take a trip to the Artic Circle. Charlie and Stetson have this amazing chemistry from the first sighting. There is magic in the air that will have you wishing you were on the naughty list. I love Charlie and Stetson so much. I loved this book! It’s got everything you hope to find in a Christmas romance and I absolutely loved it all! This book had some serious feels at points and just made me love some of the wonderful things about this season. I don’t want to give away the magic of the story because you just have to experience it yourself, but I will say I would love more like this! I’d love it if these two authors paired up for another story. Yes please! If you’re looking for a steamy, feel-good, holiday romance, this is it! Happy reading!

This is a book written by go-authors Coker Abedi and Rachel Van Dyken. While I’ve read most of Rachel’s books, I’ve never read Colet before. You can definitely dive into this book without having read either previously.

This has all the makings of a steamy Hallmark Christmas. If you’re looking for something different than the usual boy meets girl Christmas, then this is the book for you. It definitely gives you a different look at what a Christmas story has to offer. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

This was such a cute little novella to get you in the holiday spirit. It was basically a spicy Hallmark movie. I was koolaid cheesing during the entire story. There were some definite laugh out loud moments, but there was also a lot of emotion packed into this quick read. The banter was always on point, as with any RVD book. The back and forth between Charlie and Stetson was perfect. All in all, I really enjoyed Claus and Effect. It's a perfect little treat for the holidays.

This book was SOOOOOOOO cute!!!! I didn’t want it to end! I want more Charlie and Stetson. He’s so hot and just adorably cute. She’s awkward and cute like so many of us. The Christmas magic helps suspend reality of the timeline. But honestly Santa never follows a normal timeline. Hahahaha. Love love loved it! Super cute.

What a fun, although a little spicy, holiday story! I think this is my first book with Colet and Rachel together and their writing style is very cohesive, which is I think a feat in itself. I think if you are in need of a little escape this holiday season, then this book is for you!

This was the perfect holiday read. The chemistry was off the charts, and so many emotions couldn't be contained. I would love to read more about this couple. I don't want to give anything away but you should really read this book it's that good. It helped me get more into the holiday spirit. By spirit I mean I booked a vacation LOL. Hey sometimes a book can give you brilliant ideas.

Best Christmas read.

It took me a bit to fully get into the first couple chapters of this book, but once I started, I couldn't stop. I don't remember the last time I read a book this fast. Stetson was such a sweet character and even though I understand his worries, I might have wanted to smack him. Funny, sweet, sexy and just a good Christmas book.

This was a fun Christmas read that I just did not want to finish. It was perfect, it was romantic and you will be mesmerised by Charlie and Stetson and their undeniable attraction and chemistry.
