Storms, suspects, and a snarky cat, just another night for Willow Thorne.
Psychic, Herbalist, Willow wants nothing more than to inherit her grandmother’s enchanted book-and-tea shop, brew a few calming potions, and curl up with a good book. Instead, she takes a wrong turn into chaos.
A midnight storm, a manor that looks one thunderclap away from collapse, and a dinner party that ends with an antiques dealer face-planting into dessert.
Naturally, the suspicious potion bottle that rolls from Willow’s pocket makes her the prime suspect.
Now she’s stuck in Stormcroft Manor with a cast of characters that could fill a gossip column. An innkeeper who smiles too calmly, a spell-slinger with something to prove, and two guests who treat secrets like snacks.
Add in Whisp, her sarcastic familiar cat and it’s anyone’s guess whether Willow will solve the case or spill the tea before the truth comes out.
But as the storm rages on and secrets unravel, Willow realizes surviving the night may be harder than proving her innocence.
Just finished this book and it was really good. Willow is on her way to her new work place but they have to stop for the night because of a bad storm. She is timid but she is trying to learn not to be. She still has a lot to learn and she has to have more confidence in herself. Things happened her that she is learning that things are pointing at her. Check out the book and read along to see what transpired and how Willow finally finds whi is the real culprit. Happy reading.
I just finished reading Eliza Quill's "Murder, Manor and midnight storms ". The story itself has good bones. The story has alot of repetition. I think that as she expands her story line it will greatly improve. I look forward to seeing her writing and story expand. Great start. Cheers Lynn 🇨🇦
What starts out as a simple trip to her new inheritance with her crabby kitten turns sour when a terrible storm hits and she has to stop at a manor. Murder and mayhem and of course magic mix to make a thrilling read. For anyone who enjoys magic this book is for you. I enjoyed it very much.
2.5 This short story felt incomplete, like sections were missing. No backstory, no context, not sure why we care about any of these characters, and some things didn't fit. Also, way too much descriptive prose that didn't add anything.
I was actually really impressed by this book I actually got it free from book funnel but it was a really good description of basically the witch female version of clue and I really did keep you guessing in it kept you on your feet so I I really enjoyed this book and I'm happy to see that it's a series and thank you very much book funnel for letting me read this for free
