In the sleepy village of Fernhollow, a secret is brewing in the local tea shop… and it’s large, scaly, and smells faintly of cinnamon.
Edda Bramble likes her life just orderly, quiet, and free of nonsense. But her carefully curated world is thrown into chaos when she discovers a gentle, tea-loving dragon hiding among her oolong sacks. He’s a fugitive, on the run from a past he can’t escape, and he’s chosen her pantry as his sanctuary.
Reluctantly, Edda agrees to hide him, but her secret becomes a village-wide conspiracy when the menacing Dragon Guard arrives, determined to capture their prize. To protect the kind-hearted dragon, the entire village must come together in a flurry of fake festivals, pastry-based distractions, and a whole lot of heart.

beautiful novella for anyone who loves dragons and tea
Beautiful fantasy novella - what happens to a lonely tea-shop owner in a small village when she finds a dragon in her pantry. This is just such a delightful little story - inspiring, clever and tastes divine!
I needed a short and sweet read to finish off the year. I found this gem completely by accident and I’m so glad that I did. It tells the story of a cinnamon scented dragon and an old lady grieving the loss of her husband who takes him in. It’s well written and gives you a sense of the true meaning behind “it takes a village.” The story gave me moments of laughter and moments of quiet sadness. I wish I could read it for the first time again, but I’ll definitely be reading this book again.
Imagine stumbling upon a dragon in your tea closet! You have a perfectly good routine built around not remembering your joy . A steady, predictable life to compensate from a deep loss you can't seem give forward from. And there in the middle of your tea shop pantry is a dragon..whatever to do. He does seem a good sort of fellow, but what to do with him?
Edda Brumble"s heart melts a little. Then all chaos breaks out and the whole town gets involved. You just have to read this one to share the fun😀
