The author's Perfect Twists include two serious health challenges and disappointing life events "providing opportunities" for him to build a closer relationship with God while discovering greater comfort, happiness, and contentment. The narrative teaches us that God will not fix everything that worries us, but he will carry things for us and will handle them in the best possible way, so we can win life's passage pursuing the PERFECT HAPPINESS of heaven.



IMPERFECT HAPPINESS is a musical of sorts, combination adventure, and love story offering practical advice, authentic prayers, and pause and reflect segments in an engaging way. He contrasts this with the exciting message of living life by the significance of the Bible. The book concludes with steps to achieve the best imperfect you, as well as how to be a force multiplier improving the culture in our communities and country by changing hearts and lives with the commonality of loving God and loving people. IMPERFECT HAPPINESS is designed to entertain and inform while highlighting biblical resources to enjoy life more and make a greater difference in the lives of others. The book was written in a format so that it can be read and reread, particularly for anyone trying to overcome challenges or better understand their purpose and direction in life.

There is no denying that the author has an incredible story and an admirable depth of faith. His transparency about moving away from material wealth to seek a true relationship with God is deeply inspiring, especially given the health challenges he faced while writing it. I also loved the creative integration of Christian music.However, at well over 400 pages, it feels incredibly dense for a 30-day devotional. Some chapters read more like an autobiography or corporate critique rather than a quick daily reflection. It is a fantastic, wise book with great takeaways like being "Brilliant on the Basics," but you definitely need to dedicate a significant chunk of time each day to really process it all

I am so incredibly impressed by the creativity and heart poured into this devotional. Terry Fleitz shares his raw, personal journey from chasing corporate executive power to discovering how empty the "American Dream" is without faith. Knowing he wrote this while fighting a two-year battle with cancer makes his words on resilience hit so much harder. I loved how he weaves together scriptures, prayers, and even Christian music suggestions to make the text come alive. It genuinely feels like a mentor sitting down with you to help you navigate life's "perfect twists". It is an absolute 5-star read that I will keep returning to.

This is hands down one of the most uniquely structured 30-day devotionals I have ever read. The author takes real-world corporate leadership concepts and seamlessly marries them with deep biblical truths. I picked up Imperfect Happiness expecting another typical devotional and it completely surprised me. Terry writes like he is sitting across the table from you, honest and direct. The 30 day format made it easy to stay consistent and the K-Love songs woven throughout made it feel personal. Really good read for anyone in business who wants to go deeper in their faith.
