Max and Molly are twin siblings with a slightly over active imagination. After kicking their ball over the fence into Mrs Quibble's garden (for the 217th time) and having it taken away, they create a plan of action to get their ball back. Whilst attempting to arrest Mrs Quibble for 'stealing' their ball, they manage to catch a real criminal instead.
This book is suitable for children aged 7-9 who are independent readers. The use of different fonts and variation in text size makes the reader take note of and emphasise the words that stand out on the page. This book could also be used as a whole class story and be used as an introduction text to imaginative writing (eg. Writing a recipe for your own cereal, making up a game with a set of rules). There are also two recipes included at the back of the book for 'Black Widow Crunchies', with one variation for friends and another not so nice one for enemies.
