First in the Wayward Harbor series, in which Las Vegas bartender, Lucy Macauley, goes back to Wayward Harbor, Maine, in order to escape the people following her after a date with a pro athlete goes bad when she's accused of breaking up his engagement to an actress. Not true, but no one on line or the paparazzi believe her. Perhaps her grandmother will take her in, but she dares not ask in advance, so she just shows up hoping for the best, only to discover that the dear lady has gone on a cruise.
But who greets her at the door of her grandmother's house is the man who is making some repairs to the house. Nick Slater isn't thrilled to share the house with a stranger, but he does so and soon finds that Lucy has taken up residence in his heart. Now what's he going to do? After all, Lucy is planning to move on to Miami and Nick's future is tied up tightly with his brothers and their contracting business. Read on to find out what and who makes some key decisions.
