(Rabbi Harold Kushner), Why do we have a Persona and Shadow (Carl Jung, MD), The Secret Life of God (Rabbi David Aaron), Outsmarting Reality (Nero Knowledge), Jason Weeks explores his personal struggle with his own theodicies.
Here are some of the biggest, baddest most frustrating dialectical paradoxes - aka theodicies - that Weeks deals with:
Why does God allow for Holocausts, famines, disease?
Why is pain the touchstone of all growth?
How can someone be brilliant and dumb?
I enjoyed Weeks lighthearted romp through the massive philosophical issues of civilization. I’d like to talk to him about it in person with more depth - so I’m going to invite him onto my podcast.
