Chelsea Pierce has been hopelessly in love with her fellow Prey Cyber Team member ever since she first laid eyes on the handsome retired SEAL. Too bad Josiah uses anger to keep everyone at a distance. But with the organ trafficking ring still out there, still a threat to the people she loves, she's willing to do anything to bring them down. Including going undercover as Josiah's dying wife.
After losing his entire SEAL team, Josiah Fleet cut everybody out of his life, and refuses to allow anyone, including his teammates, to get close to him. The last thing he wants is to go undercover with sweet, innocent Chelsea, the risk of losing another person he cares about is too much for him to handle. Because as much as he'd love to deny it, he does care about his team, especially Chelsea. Spending every second pretending to be her devoted husband, willing to break the law to save her life, will force him to confront feelings he'd rather keep buried.
USA Today bestselling author Jane Blythe writes action-packed romantic suspense and military romance featuring protective heroes and heroines who are survivors. One of Jane's most popular series includes Prey Security, part of Susan Stoker's OPERATION ALPHA world! Writing in that world alongside authors such as Janie Crouch and Riley Edwards has been a blast, and she looks forward to bringing more books to this genre, both within and outside of Stoker's world. When Jane isn't binge-reading she's counting down to Christmas and adding to her 200+ teddy bear collection!
He's slowly dying inside, even as he keeps breathing
Josiah is broken, he knows it, everyone around him knows it...but Chelsea won't accept it as a permanent condition, not whilst she herself is still breathing and still fighting for him. Josiah isn't as broken as he thinks, he may be a little cracked and dinted but he is stronger than he thinks. His PTSD and the coping mechanism he has found break my heart, how he functions, lives and breathes on a daily basis is unbelievable but seeing him loosen his hold on it enough to relinquish it to Chelsea and for it to save her life only seconds later...so humbling. I love that Chelsea accepts him, his quirks, his gruff one word answers and his cold outbursts with no judgement. She never wavers with her love, nor does she try to change any of those quirks. She also realises just how big the gesture and breakthrough is when he faces his fears and hands her the one thing that has got him through the last six years with some of his sanity remaining. That one action will bring you to your knees. It's dark, broody, very dangerous, tragically sad and like being on an emotional rollercoaster inside a tornado, leaving you emotionally exhausted but ultimately happy that Josiah and Chelsea have found their forever and relieved that Prey have finally brought down their target. A fantastic read on Kindle Unlimited and a perfect finale to the Cyber Team series.
Chelsea and Josiah are the last two members of the Cyber team, and I’ve been super excited to read about them since the start of this series. The mystery of who the mastermind behind the organ harvesting ring is finally solved, but now the team has to get creative and take down the ring from the inside. That means Chelsea and Josiah have to go undercover as a married couple. Chelsea sees this as a chance to finally show Josiah who she really is. But what she doesn’t realize is just how deep his demons are. Luckily for Josiah, Chelsea is determined to stop the ring and get her man.
I was eagerly anticipating this book, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. Josiah’s emotional turmoil was at times hard to read and Chelsea’s determination to guide him out of the darkness and into the light was just the right balance to this story. Their partnership turned out to be just what the mission needed. I loved how the story unfolded, it was both thrilling and satisfying. This book is a must-read, and it concludes the thrilling series with a exciting and action packed thrill ride.
Amazing book Jane Blythe! Chelsea and Mr big grump Josiah were just the best.
Cyber team operatives Chelsea and Josiah go undercover as married couple to bring down a organ trafficking ring.
Josiah is a grumpy, untouchable ex special forces operative who has a past that has left him with major ptsd. He believes he is undeserving by Chelsea sees him and loves him.
I really enjoyed the slow build aspect of the story. It allows the real personality and flaws to be shown for both characters who have common problems. They sure have that connection and a chemistry that comes across so well once they let their walls down.
The action and suspense was so good and that's what drew me in. The relationship of course also.
Brilliantly done. The danger, action and suspense as well as the team spirit and the beautiful slow romance, I just couldn't leave the book alone. Amazing!!
I don’t know how Jane Blythe does it but she always delivers one amazing story after another and the world of Prey Security is the best world to read about. Josiah has a lot to deal with and he is still coming to terms with what happened to his team on their last mission but when he teams up with Chelsea to bring down the organ trafficking ring she slowly breaks down his walls. Their mission is dangerous but they are both determined to do all they can to bring justice to the victims. Loved the danger, the story and the rollercoaster ride for Josiah and Chelsea but these two make a formidable team and together they are tough as nails and will not give in and become victims themselves. This was definitely Jane Blythe at her finest and I am forever grateful that I found this fabulous author.
This is the final book in the Prey Security Cyber team series. And what an ending it was. I loved Josiah and Chelsea. Josiah and Chelsea was on the same team but Josiah always kept himself isolated. After losing his team in combat he couldn't force himself to get closer to anyone. He couldn't go through that again so he pushed everyone including his family away from him. When there was a good chance of bringing down the elusive trafficking ring, Josiah and Chelsea teamed up as a married couple looking for an organ for Chelsea. Even though he didn't like Chelsea being put in harms way he was going to do everything he could to keep her safe while bringing down the ring. If you like high intensity, action, A lot of angst with a happy ending then this book is for you but you need to start at the beginning. You won't regret it. I absolutely loved this series.
Wow! Another FANTASTIC read by Jane! This story is about the grumpy Josiah and good-hearted Chelsea. In the beginning, Josiah is still trying to keep everyone at bay as he still deals with his past. He only starts coming around when he and Chelsea go undercover for the trafficking ring their team has been trying to close down. This couple go in as a married couple with Chelsea supposedly needing an organ to survive. Josiah finally comes to terms with his past and definitely lets Chelsea in but the ending is intense when Chelsea finds herself in trouble. What Josiah does in the end is a true sentiment to letting his past go in order to save Chelsea. Once the intense situation is dealt with, this couple works on their relationship with each other and his family. FANTASTIC job Jane! I would highly recommend this book!
Josiah has his demons that keep him silent and seemingly unfriendly with the rest of his team. Chelsea sees the good in everyone and has been in love with him for ages. A mission brings them together in a fake marriage. The only way in to this ugliness of organ harvesting is to pretend an illness and go in undercover. Josiah is not happy to have sweet Chelsea with him. If only he could see what's in from of him in this woman's inner strength. Can she help heal him so he can start living again and not wish he was dead. This story had all the feels, the danger and heartstopping moments to keep me glued to my kindle. I highly recommend this series and can't wait to see what's next from this author.
How do you come to terms with the fact you survived and your team didn’t? How do you move on from that? You put up walls, head down and do your job., even when the woman you have feelings for is always there, bright as sunshine trying to have some kind of relationship with you. Everyone knows that Chelsea is in love with Josiah, and she knows that nothing is ever going to come of it, until she puts herself right in the line of fire for the traffickers and them into close proximity. How is Josiah going to deal with being so close to her, pretending to be married to her, all the secrets he holds close, will she see him for him or pity him when he shares his truth. Such a great read, loved it and loving this series and can’t wait for what's next.
Josiah and Chelsea. A long journey to an HEA, but by the end the couple is happy and the organ trafficking ring is no more! Josiah has a horrible backstory from his time as a SEAL and Chelsea is the sunshine to his grump. The PTSD for Josiah is different than other books, but so heartfelt, with the body armor and pushing people away. The Prey group is so smart and I love that this time they are using the information from the nightmares the other teammates went through and going on the offensive. Rocco and Rex were a hoot and the emotional dialogue with Josiah was impactful. The ending was sweet and I loved the wrap up of the team dynamic. A great read, series spin off and addition to operation alpha!
It is always bittersweet to come to the final book in a riveting series. I do recommend reading the previous books as there in an intense overarching plot. Josiah has deep demons that keeps him closed off from his Team. Chelsea is a sweet but has hidden grit and fortitude. Assigned to go undercover as a couple to take down the organ traffickers brings new developments assignment wise and personally. As always, Jane Blythe provided a stellar emotional and suspense filled read for me. I loved every minute of Josiah and Chelsea’s journey to forever. The ending of this series was perfection and I definitely recommend.
Affinity Star read!!!!!! 💫 Loved this book!!!! It is one of my favorites for the year. And I also couldn’t put this book down because I love it that much and I wanted to see what happens next in the book.📖 I also stay up late to read this book. I loved the slow burning romance between Chelsea and Josiah!!! And I was so happy when they fell in love together in the book. And I was also happy they decided to stay married. Loved how they both took care of each other in this book. And I also loved how he protected her too. I felt sad for Josiah and what happen to him and also losing his entire SEAL Team and he blame himself for what happened. I was so happy when he decided to let his family back in to his life and also let Chelsea in life as well. I hated what the organ trafficking ring people what they did to Chelsea and Josiah and other team members and also other people needing a organ trasplants and people who were getting killed for their organs. And I was so glad when they were stopped at the end of the book. And I was so happy when Josiah and Chelsea got a happy ending in this book. And I recommed this book.
How is it time for all of Cyber Security to find their HEA. Jane literally wrecks me in this book. Warning in order to understand what is going on you must read the previous books in the series. Chelsea and Josiah are literally in thos together. They have to do this for the team do they can bring down the network that is after the friends and hurting innocent people. However, will Josiah let the his PTSD keep him from completing to mission? Or keep Chelsea safe? You have to read to fund out. Good luck.
Chelsea and Josiah - the conclusion of the Prey Security: Cyber Team series and Jane Blythe does not disappoint! This is not an easy book and deals with extremely traumatic events in the MMC's past and how he struggles to live with what happened. But watching Chelsea draw him out of himself is not easy but the fact that she does is incredibly beautiful. The icing on the cake is that the series concludes quite satisfactorily, even if I am left wondering what has become of Bridget and Maple. Hopefully, we will "meet" them again in the future.
What an incredible ending to this amazing series! I think this might be my favourite instalment yet (though I seem to say that every time!). The story is packed with page-turning excitement, heart-pounding suspense, and a deeply emotional romance that will break your heart as Josiah and Chelsea confront their past traumas on the way to their hard-earned happily ever after. A powerful finale and a perfectly fitting conclusion to a fantastic series. I can’t wait to see what Jane Blythe has in store for us next!
Josiah’s armor pierces your heart as you war between wanting to hug him or shake him for his stubbornness. Chelsea’s devotion and quiet strength deepen your admiration with every page. Their journey puts you through the wringer as they tangle with evil and risk everything as bait. The mission’s success comes with pain, laughter, camaraderie, and so much love that it’s absolutely worth the wait. A powerful, emotional finale that delivers in every way.
I loved this series and what a fantastic book to finish if off Josiah and chelsea have been working on the same team for years and they go undercover to finally take down the illegal organ traffickers my heart goes out Josiah I am glad Chelsea doesn't give up on him I also love Josiah's mum and how she speaks to her navy seals son I was laughing at her part in the book
In the last book of Prey Cyber Team, we get insight into Josiah. The grumpy team mate that has hardly interacted in the previous books. His story is a tough one and he’s pain not visible. Going undercover with Chelsea is the last thing he wants to do, but it turns out its the best thing he could have done. Reading his story is heartbreaking for the strong seal who is terrible lost.
The final book in the series and this wrapped the story line up well. Josiah and Chelsea went undercover and they were very convincing! I loved how Chelsea was able to connect with Josiah.
This book had plenty of heat along with the suspenseful element and made a perfect read. The ending was so satisfying!
Yet again Jane has delivered not only a great book but a brilliant series.
OMG I loved Chelsea and Josiah. This book is definitely one of my favorites. Iv loved all the books in the series but this book took the cake for me. I can’t wait to read it again from the start of the series to now. This is definitely a must read book. The struggles that both characters go through and the love is like you are actually in the story.
An emotional and exciting finish to this series. I had been looking forward to Josiah and Chelsea's story and it did not disappoint. They were both characters that intrigued and entranced me. Josiah had many demons to fight and while Chelsea was sweet, she was also very strong and determined. It was also great that Rocco and his team were involved in this series finale.
I couldn't get enough of Josiah and Chelsea. So much suspense, danger, and emotional turmoil.
Josiah and Chelsea go undercover to finally take down the illegal organ trafficers. Meanwhile, Josiah gets to know Chelsea better and starts to change his attitude toward her.
Rescuing Josiah is the emotional and exciting conclusion to the Cyber Team Series by Jane Blythe. My heart broke for Josiah and how he struggles with his past. Chelsea has been in love with him for years, and when the go undercover as a married couple to take down the organ trafficking ring, can she break down his walls and help him. This book was full of non stop action, suspense and spice. I could not put it down. I have to say, I think Rescuing Josiah is one of my favorite books by Jane Blythe.
I always look forward to reading Jane's stories...they have a way of pulling you in and immersing you into the story....its like you are there feeling every emotion the characters feel. Josiah and Chelsea's story was tense,emotional,gripping...and I was there for every single word. Another amazing book!!!
I hate to see this series end, but it definitely ended with a bang. It just got better with each book. Josiah and Chelsea were great characters. Overcoming a tragic past and finding your happily ever after is the perfect ending!
Chelsea and Josiah were working undercover to expose a ring selling organs. Josiah and Chelsea got married and pretended she was sick and needed a new kidney. Wonderful story.
This is a really good read. Chelsea loves Josiah. Josiah takes his time and needs to work thru things before he can love her. The spice in very hot in this read. They have chemistry.
Interesting premise with the organ trafficking arc that has been ongoing in this series. Chelsea and Josiah were good together. Chelsea’s sunshine to Josiah’s grumpy was a good match and made for a delicious push and pull throughout the story.
