Moon Bay: A Summer Surrender: A Pacific Northwest Summer Job Becomes a First Taste of Communal Pleasure

Rate this book
She spent the summer on the outside. One night in the San Juans pulled her in.

Claire’s summer job was guiding tourists across the islands in kayaks—ferrying couples who kissed on driftwood, touched without thinking, and fell asleep tangled on sun-warmed rocks. She smiled, adjusted their life vests, and paddled them safely home… always professional, always polite, always left aching when the day was done.

Then she slips into Moon Bay, a hidden retreat where steam and salt air blur boundaries, a hippie hide-away where strangers bare themselves without shame.

There she meets Ethan, a steady older man whose gaze claims her without a word. She meets Jess and Ryan, a couple unafraid to let desire spill into the open. And she discovers the split inside herself—Responsible Claire who wants to retreat, and Adventurous Claire who aches to surrender.

What begins as distance becomes closeness. What begins as hesitation becomes release.

Moon A Summer Surrender is a debut erotic novella about the shock of being invited in, the ache of letting go, and the heat of exploring desires you never thought you’d claim. Perfect for readers who

The San Juans are one of my favorite places on earth, and honestly the perfect setting for a filthy, erotic story like this. Moon Bay: A Summer Surrender captures the steam, cedar, and salt air so vividly it felt like being there.

Claire’s voice is raw and vulnerable, her split between responsibility and desire so relatable. The way the story moves from longing to risk to release is equal parts erotic and emotional.

If you like your romance unashamedly explicit but grounded in real atmosphere, this book is worth it.

A Fun Escape

A perfect little escape into a fantasy world. The story felt welcoming, and the characters were so easy to connect with and to see yourself in one, or maybe even all of them.

The storyline was both seductive and engaging from start to finish. It’s the kind of book you’ll want to devour in one sitting—though it also offers a perfect pause point (almost like the author planned it that way 😉). #iykyk
