Wow!!!

I really have no other words to describe this book besides wow, just WOW!!! 🔥🔥🔥 The author did a fantastic job at capturing and retaining my attention from the very start of the book, til the end! The FMC Eliza is so relatable and the MMCs 🥵 the spice was just right but make sure to read and pay attention to the TW. Can't wait to see what K. Galloway does next!

Probably one of the most underrated dark romance books I’ve read. I came across a post by the author on TikTok and I’m a sucker for a retelling, especially one that hasn’t been done as much. It’s honestly a crime that this has so few reviews on Goodreads when it’s better than many of the popular ones in the genre.

Even though it’s dark, the love story was sweet at its core and I loved that the characters worked through their pasts together. I connected with all three of the MCs and really felt for them, especially our FMC Eliza. The only thing I would change is the pacing, I would have liked to see more tension/yearning before they got together. I’m amazed that this is the author’s debut and that at the end of the book, she mentions that she essentially taught herself to read and write. I look forward to reading more from her!

I wanted a Jekyll and Hyde dark romance book so bad and struggled to find one. So i went to TikTok and found this one, and i am so damn happy i did!!!! This book is everything i was looking for in a Jekyll and Hyde book! It was so good and well written! And ooo these men (this man?😂)🤤😻!!! The author really outdid herself. The emotion, the morally gray man, the relatable FMC, the spice, just everything.

Also, i have NEVER read an author's note before 🫣 but i read this one. And i have to say, i am so incredibly proud of this author and what she has accomplished with this book and doing it all on her own. I cant wait for her next one! I hope she accomplishes everything she wants and so much more🖤

I normally don’t like re-telling of Jekyll and Hyde because they almost always feel like a copy and paste of the stories before it. Unlike those re-tellings Galloway knocked this one out of the park.

Galloway beautifully wrote such strong emotional scenes, making the reader connect with each character’s trauma. Not many books make me cry, but this one had me in tears at so many points. Making your heart completely wrench in some scenes.

This is more of a slow read, and please check trigger warnings before reading.

I can’t wait to see more from Galloway in the future.

To say I enjoyed this book would be putting it lightly. Eliza was easily relatable to me, even though we have very different histories. I got so attached to the characters for different reasons, but they suck you into the book easily. The spice is on point and probably less than my typical reads, but I don’t think more spice would have made the story better. It probably would have taken away from the authenticity. Well done K. Galloway!!

Who doesn’t love a retelling with spice and why chose? I mean you can have Hyde or Henry but are they the same man? The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it’s written in third person. But it almost doesn’t read that way. The plot was good, story kept pace and the mystery of Jekyll and Hyde was still there. Loved it!!

This is such a good rendition of the classic story. I love the dark romance side. However, I'm not the biggest fan of the ending. Is she going to continue with the story? It was a little bland for me and the constant running away from both of the main characters is kinda frustrating.

Who doesn't love a retelling of classic stories. I loved the moody vibe and how unsettling it felt knowing that something was off but we couldn't put our finger on it. Eliza is an easy character to root for and I loved the dynamic she had with both Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde. If you're into gothic vibes and messy emotions, this is definitely a book for you.
