Special Agent Davin Schulz has come looking for Paul, also. How does the case that Davin and Paul is working tie into Nalani looking for her birth parents, or is it two different cases? Why is Nalani being attacked every time she turns around? Where has Paul gone and is he still alive? Grab your copy today to find out the answers to these questions. It was good to reread this story and refresh my memory. Now I can't wait for the next story. Here's just a teaser from the story. "He looks like a grumpy grizzly, but around you he's more like a fluffy teddy."
Very intriguing storyline. Investigative report Nalani Price goes to Alaska looking for her foster brother who has found out something about Nalani's birth family. Special Agen Davin Shulz is also looking for an undercover agent who hasn't reported in. Turns out they are looking for the same man. The agent/brother has uncovered some information on not only Nalani's past but also on the group he's undercover in. Neither Nalani nor Davin trust each other until they are running for their lives. Find out who is after them both and why. Highly recommend this book. I've not read anything by this author before, but she has been added to my favorite authors' list. I was given an advance copy by the publisher, but these are my own thoughts and words.
I originally read this story as part of an anthology. I enjoyed the unique setting and appreciated gradually learning about Nalani’s background through a series of dangerous events. Davin was the perfect foil and protector for Nalani, and though she was strong on her own, the people coming after her were extremely violent and evil. I appreciated the emphasis on faith and trust in God and His protection. I am looking forward to reading more stories in this setting from the author, and I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys inspirational fiction. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book for the author. A positive review was not required, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
