The Hostel has fallen. The Mahshi occupy the colony, their warship blotting out the sky. To protect his people, Kesta Orat is given a cruel deliver Flip and Sorsha, or see his home end as he knows it.

Flip and Sorsha are closer than ever to completing their mission—one final step could save an entire world. Yet when their friends are taken hostage, duty turns to desperation. Outnumbered and outgunned, they must decide whether to risk everything in a fight they cannot win… or abandon the people who have given up much to help them.

The Mahshi will stop at nothing to claim the technology they seek. Can two people defy an army? Or will this fight be their last?

Good read, but the end was a mess in terms of continuity, sections in the last few chapters were out of order. How to move tons of rubble by explosives, no diggers required?? and all in a few hours. Then, it was just big enough for troops to rappel down a shaft, but later, the shuttle made the same trip!!

What happened?

I was really enjoying the series and I thought this was going to go a little farther. You're not done John! You can't leave us hanging like this at the last. I hope there's another one coming out cuz I don't like the way this one finished.

A Fun Read

Lots of adventure. However, the characters are overly concerned about other people to the extent that they imperial their own actions. However, it all works out in the end.

Another great book in the series.

This is a great series. Love all of the technology he has come up with.
This book has them returning to Earth to retrieve the box to save Sorsha's planet. And so the fun begins.

Great series

Anyone with imagination should read this series. Good versus evil appears to have become the main theme. Plus the saving of a planet and its people make for suspense.

FLIP AND SORSIA EPITOME OF LOYALTY IN A WAR ACROSS THE GALAXY

Walker writes a breakneck speed Space Opera. Characters are well developed and pertinent to the broadening story line. It's old school SyFy with the heroes doing their heroing jobs.
I've been reading this genre for 65 years and Walker's work still entertains. Great fun.

Another fun read

As fun to read as the last book. Good action with some unexpected plot twists. The story line is consistent and the characters stay in character.
