As his power grows, so do the threats.

Thanks to the unconditional love and support from the women in his life, Ward Moreno has recovered the memories he lost due to SigNet’s brutal experimentation. Yet before he and his flock can celebrate, Doctor Hano attacks while seeking a new subject for his Tara Fiore.

Ward isn’t about to let Hano take her. To stop the mad doctor, he’ll brave a deadly jungle, an ancient temple, and an army of mechanized opponents. As strong as he is now, it’ll still be a tough fight.

But some help from an old ally turned enemy might just even the odds.

The plot is starting to go downhill

I still enjoyed the book but as Danny said in the end this was originally supposed to be the last book and now it's one more book. He explained he's was have a great time with our flock and how they work together. This is still the best part of the book, all the characters are great and lovable. My problem is with the actual main plot, it now sounds like we're going to have three books in a row so literally half the series that boils down to "get to the temple, stop the bad guy" it's very repetitive and there were times in skimmed main plot points to just enjoy Ward and the girls. Also....

the decision to free the Tread slaves is completely the wrong direction for almost all of the characters, they literally talk about all the pain and suffering of the humans and that even the Treads that are already slaves are probably gonna die either way and not get released. Why wouldn't they try to find a middle ground for everyone? They didn't even talk about it they just acted like it's A or B and they both suck. Tara was literally complaining that the almost invincible Elderhides might get hurt and not wanting to torture a literally genocidal maniac but when she can prevent thousands from dieing and suffering so just excepts that? I understand the Treads are still enslaved and that has to end but like I said all of our main characters have been all about finding a middle ground the rest of the books and now they just take the easy way out. Maybe they rectify it in the last book, but I doubt they have time when they have to "get to the temple and stop the bad guy" for the third time...

such a fan of this series!

I’ve loved each book in this series! All of the individual members of the flock have been so fun to watch develop throughout the story! Adding Val was perfect and I’m anxious to read the next book and see how she fully embraces her role in the flock that it’s been a slow climb has made it much more fun and I’m truly anxiously awaiting the last book in this series due out in another month or more from now:. Thankfully I’ve found another series from this talented author to keep me entertained while I in patiently wait for the next one! Highly recommend this book read in order with the rest of the series!

An exceptional series!!!

I absolutely enjoy this world the author has built in this series. You can definitely picture yourself in a foreign universe living side by side with unique creatures. The science fiction aspects and real life is seemlessly blended together.
