A war is coming... Immortal Adrasteia 'Adri' Dionysios has looked Death in the face...and realised her own father wants her perdition. Two-thousand-nine-hundred years after her birth, Greek god Dionysos is finally here to exact his revenge on his unlikely offspring. But Adri has more pressing matters to attend to. Her daughter appears to be the unwilling key at the heart of a plot to open the Shadow Bridge portal and let Evil return to Earth, and the creature she has given her heart to isn't playing a spotless game, either. Seraphine 'Sera' Dionysios awakens to the reality that she must take her destiny into her own hands. If only she could come out alive and unscathed from the prophecy she finds herself embroiled in, and if her mother would finally cut the umbilical cord... Not to mention that her maker has decided the time has come to claim her, and he is staking his territory by winning her body and her soul little by little. Unknown forces are at work to breach the portal and release a bloodthirsty kind that will enslave humanity and all other supernatural races. Besides, twin witches who can bring on the Apocalypse risk making their appearance, too. The world will come crashing down-unless Adri and Sera can stop the deviant plot before it's too late.

Idnomitable is a wonderful story. Once again, I love how the authors combine the paranormal world with Greek gods. I've always considered the two seperate, but they bring their worlds together in an intriguing way. And in typical Zee Monodee fashion, family dynamics plays a huge role in this story. It's another dimension to enjoy. So many revelations, too, and of course, they leave the reader on the edge of their seats at the end.
Indominitable is, at its heart, a story about the friction between a mother and a daughter and how that can mess up your whole world, whether or not there are homicidal evil gods and other paranormal creatures lurking in your universe. The friction between Adri and Sera feels genuine, some of the foolish mistakes Sera makes because she doesn't want to admit her mother is right are understandable, and their bond (even though sometimes they want to throttle one another) feels real.
If I had any criticism about this book, it was that the characters tended to THINK about their friction a little too much when some ACTION might have conveyed the point better.
I enjoyed many of the peripheral characters in the book. Rafe was okay, but Des? Des... DESSSSS.... [*okay ... you get the point*]
This is the first book I've read by these two authors even though it is the second book in this series. Although at times I was aware there was additional backstory being hinted at of which I was not privy (kind of like interjecting yourself into a conversation), at no time did I feel lost or frustrated.
Indomitable continues from where we left off at the end of Inescapable and is just as fabulous as the first book.
The plot is thickening, and bringing in more awesome characters - a lot of which are more hot men *fans self* I have to say I don't know who I'm falling in love with here. They are all so delicious in their own ways. Though I have to say, Rafe is still by far my fave, but we will get to him in a minute.
What I love most about this series - and have stated in my review for book one - is that at its very core, the plot is family orientated, and I find that refreshing considering the series is an urban fantasy/paranormal. I, personally, haven't read many books in this/these particular genre, which are.
The story is just as heartfelt, humorous, and intriguing as its prequel. Sera and Adri's relationship is growing stronger and both the leading women are trying to work through their differences and problems. We discover a little about each of their pasts, while being teased by Sera's origins. I'm very interested to see where this firecracker has come from.
I love that we not only learn a little more about Sera and Adri, but more about the leading males and how they came to be, as well as learning about some of the secondary characters as well as the species and how everyone knows each other.
The world building and the history behind these characters is fab, not to mention their own personal histories, that of the overall plot, and basically how everyone and everything is linked. The authors have mixed a lot of different species and myths together and have created a believable setting and world.
I have said before that this series reminds me a little of the television programme charmed, well, that feel is still very strong in book two. Any fan of the TV series may notice similarities, especially with the two main couples. ;-P
Talking about the couples . . . the romantic threads are getting more and more interesting. I don't tend to give spoilers away in reviews, but your heart will go out to Des in this book, and Rafe . . . If you don't already love him, you will.
All in all, Indomitable is an engaging read, packed full of danger, humour, and romance - my fave trio in any story. The co-authors have beautiful voices and have spun an intriguing and enjoyable tale, which I can't wait to continue with.
If you enjoyed book one then trust me, you are going to love book two in the Eternelles Series.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I rated the first book in the series highly, because I was impressed. Impressed with the authors for making me like a genre that I had shied away from so far. I was easily drawn in to the story, and the characters (which felt like a multitude to me, with so many different kinds like gods, werewolves, vampyres etc... as well) were introduced gradually, which made it easier for me because it prevented information overload.
Well, comes the second book in the series, and it continues in the same line. We get to learn more about the characters, while more of the plot is revealed. I like this kind of "development in parallel" and the way it was implemented here. It feels like you get deeper in the story and deeper into the characters without having to go through the plot-character description-plot-character description (etc.) pattern, which breaks the pace somehow. So you get a fluid story that is easy to read.
From those two first volumes (I'm yet to read the introductions to Sera and Adri), I have no doubts the authors will keep coming up with great ideas to keep us entertained and make this a great saga. I'm looking forward to book 3 - most definitely.
Another fabulous read from this dynamic duo! Zee Monodee and Natalie G. Owens continue to build the tension throughout this second book in their Eternelles: The Beginning series. If you haven't read any of the other books in the series so far, I highly recommend that you do ... you won't be sorry - Adrasteia (Eternelles: A Prequel, Book 0), Séraphine (Eternelles: A Prequel, Book 0.5) and Inescapable (Eternelles: The Beginning, Book 1). Thank you ladies for another terric read. Looking forward to the release of Book 3.
I was really excited to get the chance to read Indomitable, the second book in the Urban Fantasy series by Zee Monodee and Natalie G. Owens. Having loved the first book, I've been waiting anxiously for these two talented authors to give me more of this unforgettable world. And boy did they! The stakes are higher in this book, the plot twists more shocking, and the characters continue to grow into people I'll never forget. Don't miss the chance to read this book.
