Hard Rock Bottom Of Your Heart is the first inThe Last Best Place For Love Series.
The last thing I expected was for a single dance with the woman I loved to cause so much trouble.
For years, I’d danced around this flirtation with Bailey. We both knew it would eventually lead to that big, white chapel, overwhelming love, and a lifetime together that would rival any tragic love story.
If it weren’t for that dance.
That was the night everything changed.
I’d been planning this night with Bailey since I was in third grade when I rescued her from the monkey bars.
Ever since then, she was mine.
She knew it. My family knew it. Hell, the entire town had been waiting for the moment I would finally make my move.
Apparently, so was someone else.
But there was no joy where he was concerned, only a need for revenge that would destroy any happiness the two of us shared, along with anyone in my family.
No matter how hard I tried, there was no way out.
Her life was in danger, and it was all because of me. And that was something I just couldn’t tolerate.
She was the love of my life, but keeping her alive was more important than winning her in the end.

A new author to me, but a recommended read from a friend. A new series is always a good place to start. I loved the story, the romance, the mystery and suspense, and the writing of this book. I will be headed to check out other titles by this author.
I was pulled in quickly , and captivated by the story. There is plenty of drama, action and laughs. Liam and Bailey give us their pain, and we share with their humor. Bailey is a spitfire an full of sass. With Liam I had to trust the author, but there were many times I was frustrated with him.
This book has stayed with me since I finished it. I do recommend it.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
This is book one of a new series and should be read after Parker and GoodKnight in the Reed Security series however you dont have to , it just would help to understand some characters that show up better. The beginning was a bit slow and I felt slightly lost just at first. The Parker family is tied to Parker in the Reed Security series and I mightve understood a few things better. I've been eagerly awaiting this new series and though its not anything like OPS... yet anyways....it was just as good as I Hoped. Here are a few things I loved and not in any order. The story has a family feud ( kinda Hatfield and McCoy though we never get the entire backstreet of why Austin hates the Parker's particularly Jeff and why John ( Austin and Wyatt's dad) is the way he is) I love how this and a few other things drop hints to possible new ongoing plots. Where this is a complete book with a very cute Happy Ever After ( I hope anyways) it also sets up plots and characters I look forward to and hope we get thier stories) This one is a romance and a very good one. It is also the suspense I love about Guilia Lagomarsino's books plus there is mystery as well. It has a bit of humor as well. It has lots of amazing characters It has a strong female main character. It has a sexy, protective, hot, sweet, main Male lead character ( and so many more of those) There are several characters (Antagonists to dislike but also hope they get stories too ( Austin, Wyatt, even Clay) and who on earth was Bailey's mom talking about was her first love? Is there a story there? * nudges author and begs sweetly* Theres lots more like how well the steamy scenes are done and actually adds to the story and blends and isn't just there for the heat. And the ending...oh my goodness I never saw that coming and I laughed at loud while I swooped. So if you like small town romance, sort of cowboys ( ranchers) childhood sweethearts, second chance, romance, suspense, mystery, with some heat this is definitely for you.
I was unsure about this new series, because Reed Security and OPS series was just to perfectly amazing. By in true Giulia Lagomarsino fashion she brings us the start of another perfect series.
No one else delivers such action, drama, hilarity and steam quite like Giulia. The emotions jump from the page to envelope you in their magical web and take you as an all too willing hostage on an exhilarating roller coaster ride that you won’t ever want to get off.
Watching Liam and Bailey traverse their rocky and dangerous path was both heart breaking beautiful and so heart wrenching it almost broke my heart. I wanted to smack Liam around the head for his behaviour, whilst at the same time I was cheering for him because only a man so deeply in love could screw up so badly.
I loved the family side characters. I thought they added a special kind of depth to an already perfect story. The camaraderie with Jeff was hilarious!!
Bailey is a spitfire. I loved her character. Her friendship with Cheyenne was lovely to watch. But watching her heart take a beating time after time broken a little. I wanted to reach through the pages and hug her, beg her to trust in Liam and their love. That he had a reason for his behaviour. Alas I could not and that was so frustrating.
I loved reading their story. Despite the pain they both go through it was a heart breaking beautiful read. The emotions flow from the pages seamlessly. Every emotion intertwined with a humour that is pure gold.
Giulia Lagosarino has knocked it out of the stratosphere once again. This is an absolutely perfect read. A story where the characters will walk straight into your heart and take up permanent residence.
This phenomenal read has given me the biggest book hangover.
This book deserved so many stars to fully portray just how wonderful it is.
Once again, this author delivered a perfect start to a new series. Giulia's unique blend of action, drama, humor, and steamy romance shines through in this book, drawing you in and keeping you captivated throughout the roller coaster of emotions. The story follows Liam and Bailey on their tumultuous journey. It was heartmelting beautiful and gut-wrenching.
Liam's flawed behavior made us want to shake some sense into him, yet I couldn't help but root for him because of his deep love for Bailey, and his actions were all about safety and protection for the woman he loved.
The supporting family characters added depth to the story, and the camaraderie with Jeff provided some hilarious moments. Bailey's fiery personality and her friendship with Cheyenne were a joy to witness, but seeing her heartbreak was tough. Bailey's mom was downright hilarious, and Liam's mom and the way she handled her men put a smile on our faces. She was a force to be reckoned with.
. Despite the pain and challenges they face, Liam and Bailey's story is beautifully heartbreaking. The emotions are vividly portrayed, and the witty banter of the small-town gossip made things interesting and created some awesome laughs and smiles throughout the book.
Once again, a perfect read that will capture your heart and keep you invested in the characters. This story is a must-read; the mystery, suspense, and revenge vibes made things intriguing and left us wanting more.
On a side note, we were hesitant about whether we would like this new series, as it seemed so different from The OPS series, which we absolutely loved, which was downright hilarious. We feared not falling in love with another series' characters like the previous series we had read, but we should have known that was impossible. This new cast is fantastic, and we can't wait to see what happens next.
I love a good small town, country-boy romance, something easy, cozy, and escapist where you can just enjoy the charm and move on to the next book. This one *should* have been that. Two people who have loved each other since the third grade, now almost 30 and finally ready to take the leap? I was fully prepared to root for them.
But once Liam finally makes his move and Bailey gives herself to him, after literally saving herself for him knowing he’d be her forever, everything falls apart fast. Liam messes up badly (in the name of protecting her ) and when the truth comes out, Bailey spends so much of the book stuck in heartbreak, not allowing herself or Liam any grace. I understand why she was hurt, and I get wanting her to work through it, but this is fiction… it needed to move faster. Instead, it drags. And drags. And drags.
By the time she finally decides she’s ready to forgive and move forward, the whole thing feels anticlimactic. We spend all this time in her pain, and then the actual reconciliation, the moment we’ve been waiting for, gets the shortest, flattest ending possible. After all that build-up? It felt empty.
There are so many small town romances that handle this kind of storyline with a much better, smoother flow. This one had potential, but the pacing and the payoff just fell flat for me. I ended it literally with an eye roll 🙄 sucks because I think I’d like Jeff’s book if he has one but I’m over it.
Oh, and the real drama of the story with the attacks, etc. That fell flat too.
I’ve always loved Giulia’s books and this one is no different. I never thought a small town in Montana can have that much action, drama, comedy and love story packed in one book. This is such a great series starter and I cannot wait to read the next books.
I just love Liam and Bailey. For a small town, I can’t believe how they always get the grade Liam and Bailey fell in love wrong. But everyone sure does know they belong to each other. They may spread gossip ll over town but they look out for each other. Liam and Bailey started put strong but circumstances changed everything. I cannot imagine how Liam must have felt during those time s and I can’t really blame him. He just wanted what he thought was best at the moment.
I am totally in love with all the characters in this book especially Cheyenne. She cracks me up every single time. She is THE BEST friend a girl could’ve asked for. I also loved Jeff. He may not have made the greatest decision when he was younger but I’m happy he still pushed through to be a better version of him. I may have to read Parker’s book again to get a little refresher on him and Blake’s story. This book has the best ending from Giulia’s books in my opinion. 🤭😂😂😂 The world better to watch out for Georgia Bennett. Lol.
What a great start to a new series from Ms. Lagomarsino. If you have read any of her prior series, you know she has a great way of telling a story, mixing suspense, dangers, laughter and romance like only she can. Well Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart is no different. Our main characters, Liam and Bailey have been besties since grade school. As they got older the childhood friendship turned into electric chemistry and their love for one another was one for the books. They were so inseparable everyone in their small town thought they would be together forever. But troubles from Liam’s past come calling which in turn put Bailey in danger. So Liam has to make some heartbreaking decisions. Protecting and loving Bailey is Liam's priority and always will be.
The book is well written and the storyline grabbed my emotions from start to finish. My heart broke and soared for Liam and Bailey at various times in the book. The more I read the more I hoped for any type of happy ending. I can’t recommend grabbing up the book and following along with their journey.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first: Parker (Reed Security #25) GoodKnight (Reed Security #26)
This story has many of the characters from the above books in this story so it will help you understand more of this story and the people surrounding this couple.
This is Bailey and Liam's story. This couple goes through a lot within this story. Heartbreak, suspense, love, and laughs. You will want to smack them and then comfort them. But this author loves to write a story that not only has you on the edge of your seat trying to make sure the couple is safe and gets together in the end but looking for stories that might make it into the series for the side characters. It makes you pay close attention to all the goings on in case you need to remember that about anyone in the story for a later book. This story will take you on a journey that you need to trust that Liam knows what he is doing in order to be with Bailey in the end.
This story made me laugh, made cry and i wish for more it was so good!Liam and Bailey were a couple since the playground in third grade. But it took Liam a dance to make his move but it was over in week,he was trying to save her life from Austin, so he came up with a plan but whatever plans it just drove it deeper apart and no longer a couple. Liam fought hard for Bailey but he hurt her so bad,she couldn't trust him any more, she figured once a cheater always a cheater but Liam kept trying but Bailey couldn't get the picture of Ely Mae on Liam's lap out of her mind.It took weeks, months for the couple to finally get back together. Liam went thru a car accident, a knife injury, house fire and Liam almost leaving for good before Bailey took him back.It took Georgia her mother show up at at Liam's house when he was chasing Bailey in his birthday suit and a couple of two by fours to finally say I Do! This story was worth more than five stars, for the laughs, the tears and more!
This book was absolutely amazing! I wasnt sure going into it because i had never read one of her books, but now that I have, I must read them all! She had such a complexity through this story, but it was interwined with love, laughter, heartache, and pain. This book took me on a roller coaster ride but one heck of a journey. Just when I thought I knew what was gonna happen it all shifted. I was literally in my bed boo hoo crying, I mean the whole nine yards tissues scattered everywhere puddles from the amount of tears coming out of my eyes, I was crushed and heart broken but then boom another shift, and I ended up laughing so hard I cried again. It was amazing absolutely amazing and you would be crazy not to pick this book up.. 5 stars just doesnt do it justice, take my word for it, read it!
Giulia Lagomarsino's books are always a hit, and this series starter is fantastic! Who knew a small-town Montana romance could pack so much action, drama, comedy, and heartfelt love? I can't wait for the next books! Liam and Bailey are perfect together—everyone in town knows they belong, even if the gossips get their story wrong. They started strong, but life threw curveballs that changed everything. I don't blame Liam for his choices; he was just trying to do what he thought was right. The side characters steal the show—Cheyenne is hilarious and the ultimate best friend! Jeff's growth from past mistakes is inspiring. (Might reread Parker's book for a Blake refresher!) Hands down, this has Giulia's best ending yet. Total small-town magic! ❤️.

This is book 1 of a new series from Giulia and what a way to begin!! Liam and Bailey have been friends since third grade and the entire town expects them to end up together. Unfortunately for everyone drama and danger quickly come between them. Lies, betrayal, and rumors cause heartbreak leaving everyone wondering if forgiveness is possible. This book introduces us to many new characters and some troubled pasts that I am excited to read more about in future books. It also contains the danger, secrets, spice, and of course humor that fans of Giulia look forward to with each and every story. Overall this book was very entertaining and definitely sets up what promises to be another wonderful series from a fantastic author.
Since they were children Liam has always known that Bailey was his end game but there always seemed to be something in their way. Just when it seems to finally be their time Liam’s past comes back with a vengeance threatening not only their relationship but Bailey as well.
The feelings that Bailey has for Liam are undeniable, but she is torn as she wants to fight for a future together however he seems intent on distancing himself from her as he wants to protect her from everything and everyone and that includes him and his past.
This is an entertaining start to a new series that manages to combine humorous banter, captivating characters heart wrenching emotion and suspense into a story you won’t be able to put down.
Bailey had belonged to Liam ever since she could remember, and he knew it. Liam wanted Bailey for his own since the third grade, and she knew it. Typical of small towns, everybody also knew it so nobody was surprised the night he claimed her as his in their first dance together. What followed was an endearing, blooming romance that everybody knew was leading straight to the alter. Unfortunately, there was a psychopath in their path who holds a grudge and wants to destroy their happiness or them, no matter to him. This is so different from this author's previous books that I’ve read. It's a lovely difference. It's a story that is plagued with immediate danger and consequences but is also imbued with sweet innocence and love. I so look forward to more books like this one.
I'm a big fan of GL. Loved Reed Securit and OPS. I have struggled with her other series' tho. I fear this one won't be different. I felt like the characters were pretty ok developed. However, I felt no real affinity of actual like for them. Im not sure how old they were supposed to be in the book, maybe I missed that part. Def know they've had a thing for each other since the 3rd grade as that was faxt was pretty well beaten to death. It kinda felt stilted, shallow and just...meh. I honestly didn't like the characters, but found myself wishing Liam would just leave her behind and move on because of Baileys attitude in the end. Not sure I'll try the next I book in the series. Bummer.
A great start to a new series with lots to learn about this small town while Liam and Bailey find their way together. There is plenty of banter, rollercoaster of emotions, secrets, lies and lots of suspense.
Liam and Bailey have danced around each other for so long the town folk were beginning to wonder if they would ever find their way to each other. When it finally happened everyone was ready for wonderful things. Nobody was prepared for the rollercoaster that became their relationship.
All the things happening, Liam's paranoia and pushing Bailey away to protect her, Bailey fighting for what she believed to be worth it.
Will they be able to find their place to happiness with all this distractions.

This author has been on my list to read for a while and when I read the blurb of this one it definitely caught my interest.
I was surprised how quickly I got sucked into the world of Liam and Bailey. They both have known each other since elementary school and the way he has taken care of her and always looked out for her was really sweet. You could tell these two were destined for each other from the get go. But like all good stories you have to have some suspense and a twist or two. And that is delivered in this book. I loved the way the story unfolded and the way Bailey held her ground. These two get their HEA but not without obstacles.
I really am excited for this new series and I can't wait to jump into the next book.
4 1/2 stars for me. I enjoyed the story with all the love, secrets, danger, and struggle. Bailey and Liam loved each other since "third grade". Life kept them apart until now. One dance led to intimacy, and then all heck blew up. Fear, sacrifice, protectiveness, pain, and a lot of learning how to accept mistakes made kept this story moving along. Bailey was stronger than she let herself though quite stubborn. Liam was protective but went overboard with his actions. They did make an interesting couple with an entire town pushing them together. It was a fun read.
I received a copy through Enticing journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
This is the first in a new series, and this is Liam and Bailey’s story. From the moment Liam and Bailey meet in third grade, they were destined to be together. Liam is protective while Bailey is a mechanic, who is stronger than she thinks. This is a well written easy to read, action packed story, with family, friendships. Emotions, danger, suspense, intrigue, secrets, drama, tension, challenges, sacrifices, romance, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This is my first time reading this author and I'm scared to fall into this rabbit hole as my TBR list is huge. Liam and Bailey were fated to be together, she's loved him since the 3rd grade. Why did it take them two decades to get their act together? This is a small town romance where everyone else knows your business. The whole town waited with bated breath for these two to connect romantically. Their relationship wasn't going to be without flaws. Something evil is amiss and Bailey is in trouble. The only thing Liam can do is break her heart to save her. This was a fun romance despite their hiccups, interfering families and small town gossip, I really enjoyed it.
This is a new series for this author a bit of a reset after the Ops series and has some ties to the Reed security series. I felt a little lost at first not quite sure how to adjust to this the intensity of the Ops series but it sped up pretty quickly and there were some old faces popping in to say hello. This authors amazing blend of action, drama, humor, and steamy romance shines through in this book, pulling you in and keeping you captivated throughout the roller coaster ride of this story. The story follows Liam and Bailey on their journey. It was heartmelting beautiful and gut-wrenching. Loved it
Since the third grade, Liam has known Bailey was his future - his constant But when a danger from his past resurfaces he faces the impossible choice: walk away from the only girl he's ever loved... or risk dragging her into the shadows chasing him. And in a small town where secrets last five minutes, privacy is a myth, and gossip lasts forever, every decision they make - good, bad, or reckless - becomes everyone's business. Can they outrun the trouble hunting them and survive together...or will they be torn apart for good?
some men get very stupid when they're overprotective, and in love.
breaking hearts, and pain pills do tend to coincide sometimes, so maybe it should be recommended that stubborn, overprotective men should either swallow a pharmacy, or nothing, so they pass out and are prevented from doing stupid, gut and heart wrenching things
I really appreciate the empathy that the author seems to have with women who have to put up with stubborn and somewhat stupid men.
it's much more entertaining to read about someone else having to put up with them.
A great beginning to a new series!! I’m always so excited with this authors writing. You are always guaranteed action, laughs and of course romance, even if it is a whirlwind sometimes. Liam know Bailey is his forever…. Has known since the third grade. He’s waited for her to catch up. But when his past come back to haunt him he has to make heartbreaking decisions. Will Bailey hang on or let everything go? Will Liam be able to keep her & protect her? So much in this book that will keep you in a whirlwind. I loved it and can’t wait until the next!
A whole new series, different genre, all new characters and written by one of my favourite authors. Can’t even tell you how excited I was to read this book. I’ve been a little lost since finishing the OPS series. So this was exactly what I needed to cheer me up.
I soon got caught up in Liam and Bailey’s story. It was full of drama, mystery, suspense and moments that had me laughing so hard. I adored all the new characters. I’m so looking forward to reading more of this series.
This was a very entertaining first book in a series that is a spin off of the author’s Reed Security series. A feud between two families puts childhood sweethearts on a rollercoaster romance that kept me reading with many ups and downs. What Liam chooses when danger threatens Bailey puts their relationship in danger. Lots of small town vibe, humor, banter, family meddling, grudges, suspense, heartache, angst, forgiveness and a sweet HEA. Looking forward to the next book.

Please note my rating is based on how I felt reading compared to other books by this talented author. Especially since it's the first book since OPS. For me personally this book was 'quiet' for lack of a better word. Yes there were chunks of action and drama, but when you've gotten used to musicals and explosions anything was going to be a slower pace. It was still a good way to kick off a new series and I'm excited to see what the author has up her sleeve as I think she might be trying to lull us into a false sense of security.
This is the 1st book in the Last Best Place For Love series by Glulia Lagomarsino and this is Liam Jeffery Parker and Bailey Bennett (auto mechanic and Cheyenne Bailey’s best friend) story. From when they first met in 3rd grade they were destined to be together. He is ultra protective, as mechanic, is stronger than she thinks. The characters are well written and believable as is the storyline. An absolute must read.

I swear I don't know how Giulia does it, but once again I can see another series that will pull you in and keep you wanting more. Liam and Bailey have been dancing around each other since fourth grade... (Liam and Bailey chime in with "third"). When Liam finally asks Bailey to dance, the real dance begins. This is an awesome start to a new series, and I cannot wait to read more!!!
