This is a fun and cozy, small-town monster romance. It is part of the Fairhaven Falls series of interconnected standalones.

Pregnant human FMC Chloe has moved to Fairhaven Falls for a fresh start. MMC, Dr. Victor Jackson is her new doctor. He also happens to share his body with a guardian called Hyde, a sort of shifter situation similar to the Hulk. Let’s just say Victor gets very protective very quickly.

I enjoyed this installment. It’s a sweet and fun story set in winter, with some clever jokes about the very tropes that end up happening, which made it extra fun. The characters were easy to root for, and I enjoyed the Jekyll and Hyde monster elements.

Overall, another fantastic addition to the series! I can’t wait to see what happens next in Brownies for My Grumpy Bunny scheduled to release February 2026.

We're back in Fairhaven Falls and Dr. Victor Jackson is up. His special someone? Pregnant, independent (although maybe not entirely by choice) Chloe who's new to town, but who finds her groove pretty quickly. Partly thanks to Flora who sets her up with a job that suits her organizational skills perfectly.

Said job also gives her insight into Victor. By which I mean she's cataloging and organizing the town archives and she stumbles over (not literally) a journal written by one of his ancestors that helps Chloe understand the immense pressure Victor puts on himself to keep his monstrous side contained. TO BE CLEAR, Victor's Hyde isn't a monster. I mean, sure, he's a little feral and he'll do what needs to be done to protect those who need protecting, but he's not out of control like Victor fears.

Chloe see that immediately. It takes time and patience AND a wicked blizzard before she gets it through Victor's head that she's not afraid of his Hyde because she knows neither side of him would ever hurt her. Let's just say that the good doc has to learn to trust himself before things can really start moving forward with these two.

Some familiar faces, Flora doing some matchmaking (as she does), a big blizzard, a doctor who keeps himself rigidly regimented, and a lady who is willing to risk everything to give her baby the best life possible. *thumbs up*

Hyde Happiness!!!

I loved this monster Hyde story! Very special and different! So entertaining and heartfelt! I loved the conflict in the doctor and how in the end love and trust were the answers! Plus the spice was so hot!!!! Especially the extended kissing scene.... Super hot! Might be the best kiss ever in a book! Well done!

Really enjoyed this take on Hyde!

I enjoyed this book even more than I expected to! It's the first I've read in the series, though I'm definitely about to try to find Sam and Nina's story. This is the story of Chloe, a woman who had an unplanned pregnancy and the father wanted nothing to do with it. He paid to sign his rights away, and Chloe decided she needed a fresh start away from the city. She moves to Fairhaven Falls, a town known for mixing human and Others, and where her grandmother had lived at some point. Victor is the town doctor, and they meet when Chloe sees him for her pregnancy. Victor has spent his life desperately trying to suppress Hyde and maintain absolute control and order. This book had a very interesting take on Hyde, treating it as an inherited monster cohabitating in one body, similar to a lot of other shifters, and refers to him as a Guardian. Victor struggles to see him as anything other than a destructive and dangerous monster after a traumatic childhood of seeing his parents struggle with his father's Hyde, which seemed to be a problem of their own making. Chloe is essentially Victor/Hyde's mate, and while there is instant attraction, it was a struggle and difficult road to actually being together. This book is rather dialogue heavy, but it really works here. I absolutely loved that Chloe decided she wouldn't accept another situation like she had with her ex, keeping quiet and accepting scraps, and how determined she was to have what she wanted. She told Victor how it was, and called him out with every excuse he tried to tell her and more importantly himself. Never cruelly, but honestly. This book focused heavily on a theme of self-acceptance, and it did it beautifully. This does end in an HEA as a happy family, and I do recommend picking this one up. There is some spice, but it is mild and fairly brief when it appears. It is very sweet and contributes to relationship and healing and doesn't overwhelm the plot. That said, it would be very easy to skip over if spice isn't your thing without losing anything of the story.

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Chloe and Victor. Chloe was a strong heroine and knew what she wanted for her life after her crappy ex wanted nothing to do with a baby and signed away his rights. She would make a new life for herself and her child on her own. I loved how she was almost swept up by some of the townsfolk who somehow seemed to know exactly what she needed and helped her out out of kindness- and maybe Flora's meddling. It was immediately a warm homey, welcoming feeling that I loved for her.

I liked how Honey immediately contrasted that with our introduction to Victor, who kept himself scheduled and controlled in an effort to hold Hyde at bay. I liked that Hyde was like the animal form of a shifter- where he could take control of their body separate from Victor's own will or actions, and even have his voice come through. As well as there have been other Hydes before his. After what Victor experienced with his parents as a child, I understood his fears.

I loved that the chemistry between them was mutual- and that Victor/Hyde recognized it. Hyde was happy; Victor fought even harder to keep his control and his growing possessiveness at bay and remain professional. I loved the dynamic between them and the way their relationship developed.

Wonderful !

I loved the premise for this story, and I appreciate that the biological father signed away his paternal rights in the very beginning. Chloe comes to Fairhaven, because she wanted a quiet place of acceptance to start a new life as a new Mother, but she knew about it because her Grandmother had lived there once. Meeting Victor is a revelation. She is immediately drawn to him, and she tells herself, it's just because he's attractive, and she's been alone for months. Victor is concerned at his physical reaction to touching Chloe during his examination, and Hyde immediately claims her as his mate, and to protect her. After a brief confrontation with him over working in the basement, organizing the towns archives, they have several encounters of him giving her advice about property taking care of herself, and the baby. His fears of losing control of Hyde because of his Father's failure has him closed off, but both sides of him want to claim her. Of course Flo, the towns matchmaker, is ever present, and Sam the towns former hidden Kracken, have advice, to give. All in all, this is another warm, love story from Honey Phillips that gives you all the heat, and warm feels, we come to expect from all of her books. I loved the HEA ending. Trish. A.

We are back to Fairhaven Falls. Flora doing what Flora does best.
I loved both Chloe, with her patience and stubbornness, and Dr. Jackson/Hyde with his protectiveness.
I loved how Chloe helped Victor with Hyde and realizing what he was to him. Not his father's version but his great-grand father's version. Good thing she was patient and stubborn . Of course she did have a little help from Sam (putting in his two cents) , Ginger (with her sage advice) and Flora who did have to interfere just a little to nudge him in the right direction.
I especially loved that Chloe understood and accepted both Victor and Hyde. That she wasn't afraid of the "monster". She at times was brutally honest , but it was necessary.
I loved the flow of the story. You start reading as before you know it you let out a sigh and say Well Done.
I loved the intrigue, the mystery, the worldbuilding was very good, and yes there was steam to the eventual romance. And as always a HEA that will warm your heart. This is a standalone story with just the right amount of adventure .

Healed by My Hyde is a definite cozy romance that finds it’s in the family way MFC Chloe setting up house in a quite out of the way leased cabin in Fairhaven Falls.
She’d decided to return to the community of others and humans because her great-grandmother had lived there at one time and she wanted her child to grow up surrounded by the same tolerance, and multiculturalism.
After the babies father Travis had wanted no part of fatherhood, and offered her money to take care of things she’d taken the money and left him in the dust.
Dr. Victor Jackson is the only doctor in Fairhaven and Chloe has become his new patient, and not afraid of the beast aka Hyde he keeps locked up inside.
That beast who only wants to protect, worship, and cherish Chloe.
Loved their story which was sweet, passionate, dramatic, emotional, well written, with personal vulnerabilities to overcome, and wonderful characters who flow through a heartfelt and endearing read, and of course my favorite Fairhaven character Flora has been adding her two cents to the tale as always, in a loving and good way of course!.

Victor and Chloe

Oh my heavens- yes! This is what I was expecting in Sam’s book but it never quite made it. Victor’s struggles with his other half and Chloe’s patience was perfect. Everything about this book made me happy. Hyde was adorably protective and I couldn’t help seeing the Hulk in my mind as he was described. It helped that the cover has a hulk-like feature as well. I do wish Victor would have placed some of the blame for his father on his mother. Her reaction to his father’s Hyde I think was the catalyst for everything that happened later though in the story all the blame was placed at his father’s feet. This isn’t how I read it. Later yes- his aggression became overwhelming but his mother was a weak woman as well. And left her very vulnerable son to a man she saw as too violent to be around- the sins of the mother were not called out. But that was my only complaint. Over all this might be my favorite story of the series. Excellent addition to my collection.

No more “Hyde”ing 💕

Just a lovely, sigh-worthy trip back to Fairhaven Falls! This time it’s Victor’s turn to be bulldozed into his perfect future by Flora🥰. Chloe, whose great grandmother used to live locally, has recently moved to find peace and belonging before she delivers her baby. Victor is her physician, whose great grandmother has a protector, Hyde, inside. I love how Chloe never failed to believe in Victor even when the poor man nearly drove himself onto the ground trying to figure out what to do with Hyde. She is strong enough to accept both of them for what they are. Victor is the perfect cinnamon roll hero who cares deeply for his patients and will do anything for them and Chloe. As always, the Fairhaven residents play a major role and I am beyond ecstatic that Ben is up next to find love ❤️!! This series just keeps getting better!! I am voluntarily reviewing a free advanced ready copy of this book.

Chloe feels drawn to Fairhaven Falls, rents a cozy little cabin to stay in until her baby is born. The townsfolk are so friendly and helpful, especially Flora in her amazing colorful track suits.
And then she meets Victor, her new doctor, and is so attracted to him.
Victor is the extremely rigid town doctor, spending every moment controlling his inner beast and said beast says 'mate' when they meet Chloe. Victor fears loosing control and letting the beast/ Hyde out.
When I get one of Honey's books, I know I'm in for a treat. This series, Fairhaven Falls, about humans and others living and working together, the acceptance, found family, new love and great friends is such a spirit lifter. And that is so needed right now. Plus the plot twists will keep you guessing as you keep turning those pages. Enjoy Chloe and Victor's tale.

Chloe is all set to be a single mom to her little bundle growing inside her. She has full rights and a nest egg to see them comfortably for a long while. She found a cute isolated cabin outside a little monster friendly town that her great grandmother lived in a long time ago.
She meets her new doctor and things start heating up.
Victor is all about set schedules and control. That is until he meets Chloe and his Hyde starts wanting more than the little bit of nothing he had been getting. His father has affected his outlook on his Hyde. So when he gets a journal from his grandfather that shows a different side of the Hyde he is slow and I mean snail slow to let go enough to see his two sides can be ok and accepted by not only his town his mate but himself too.

Honey Phillips' Healed by My Hyde is a Fairhaven Falls rendition of Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde. Dr Johnson is a dual human/monster hybrid who has avoided relationships, fearing his monster will emerge and terrify any woman he loves as his father did to his mom. Chloe has arrived in town 7 months pregnant without the never do well father. She works at the local town hall in the basement, archiving historical records. She and Victor share longing looks and stolen kisses, but he's afraid the monster will emerge. Then a freak snowstorm hits, and he and his monster arrive at Chloe's cabin to protect her. This is a sweet but passionate story.

This was another wonderful addition to the series and I loved seeing pregnant Chloe and Dr. Victor Jackson/Hyde work their way together. It's a fast paced read with a slow burn romance for these two and I have to say that it was a good thing for Victor that Chloe was stubborn ;) Victor definitely has baggage about his monster side and Chloe sure helped him with his self acceptance, along with some characters from previous books. Expect to get caught up in the mystery, intrigue, drama, adventure and steamy romance as you follow these two to their fab HEA in this well written read. Good fun!

Nothing to Hyde

Chloe Bennington returns to her family’s hometown of Fairhaven Falls. She’s starting over after breaking up with her boyfriend, who didn’t want to be a father to her baby. She’s going to focus on her pregnancy and settling in. When she meets her new doctor, Victor Jackson, she gets feelings that make her want to add him to her agenda.
Victor has a Hyde and has struggles all of his life to suppress him. His father always stress the need to control it, but failed and drove Victor’s mother away. When he meets Chloe, she stirs something inside him, and his Hyde!

wonderful but confusing

I absolutely Love Fairhaven I’ve read every book at least twice and this book did not disappoint I loved both characters although at times I wanted to kick Victor in the butt. in the end he didn’t disappoint and was thoroughly loveable and you couldn’t help but feel happy when he stopped fighting both sides of himself. My problem and I just couldn’t let it go was this Dr Jackson and the Dr Jackson described in all the other books older,dark skinned,grey hair,and a human teeth necklace also an implied love for Gladys so while I loved this Victor when I was reading this male was a totally different character than the first Dr Jackson

Monster, Trust Thyself!!

A town doctor, Victor, who’s denied his monster side his whole life believing he isn’t safe meets a pregnant, new patient, Chloe, who is alone and his mate. The mating pull is undeniable but Victor refuses to give in.

The tension in the story is strong. Victor fights hard to deny his feelings. Chloe fights just as hard to show him both parts of him are worthy. It is wonderful to watch him start to trust in his monster. I won’t say any more as I don’t want to spoil the story but it certainly worth the read.

Loved This Story!

Chloe is pregnant and moved to Fairhaven Falls for a fresh start for her and her baby. Her doctor is Victor Jackson, who is a Hyde. He struggles to control his Hyde who has decided that Chloe is his. Both him and his Hyde are attracted to her but he is afraid to let anyone close for fear of hurting them because his father was not able to control his Hyde. Chloe has so much patience and understanding for him and I love how protective and thoughtful Victor/Hyde are to her. It is a feel good, steamy and all around fantastic story. loved it!

I loved the relationship between Chloe and Victor. Chloe was brave and committed enough for both of them and had the patience to wait while Victor worked through his generational trauma. It was deep and emotional but still retained all the core components of a Fairhaven Falls cozy monster romance. We got glimpses of the other characters and more of Flora's meddling. This was the perfect continuation of the series.

A fascinating Fairhaven tale!
Hyde is delightful! Victor, however, is a very stubborn guy. I think the healing is actually mutual for Chloe and Victor. They truly are meant for each other! I’ll admit, I’m pretty impatient with Victor’s refusal to change his beliefs, having been given excellent evidence of the truth. I think Chloe has the patience of a saint. I love the way it ends. Excellent reading!

So Hyde is now my favorite next to Sam in terms of monsters in Fairhaven Falls! And as frustrating as Victor was in his beliefs, as a therapist, I have seen people plant their feet in their beliefs related to trauma to the point that they are nearly unmoveable. But a little "exposure therapy" (pun intended) can often help these situations. I loved how strong Chloe was and her determination to leave a bad situation and not get trapped in another. I really wouldn't mind having a Hyde in my life!

Chloe arrives in Fairhaven Falls alone and pregnant. When she goes for her first visit with the town doctor she finds herself attracted to him. The doctor, Victor, is attracted to her also. But he holds back. He is a Hyde and afraid that he won't be able to control himself around her. Sweet steamy monster romance.

Balance or Control

I always love the Fairhaven Falls books! Flora is always up to something and in this book she helps the towns only Doctor get his groove. Chloe was pregnant and alone, starting over alone. Victor is immediately drawn to her and fights his Hyde beast for fear of hurting her like his father had done to his mother. With Chloe’s help and a journal from the town archives he learns the difference between balance and control. I loved it!

What can I say. Honey has done it again and given us another magical emotional read. Her interpretation of a story we all grew up on, but has given us a twist that's swoon worthy. The characters are amazing. Victor has qualities that are honorable, admirable and bewitching. Chloe, despite knowing what she wanted in and from Victor I felt that she was a tad pushy. It couldn't have had a better ending though 💜💜💜

victor “Hyde”

I love honey Phillips she’s a one click author of mine. The perfect amount of love, spice, and adventure everytime I pick up a book. Victor was mysterious and protective. Which is exactly what Chloe needed in her condition and he was the best monster for her needs. He was safe and strong which Chloe missed out on in her baby daddy. Angel was the most perfect missing puzzle piece to their family too:)

Healing Both Sides

She didn't need healing, but he did. She made him heal by accepting both sides of him - the man and the monster by making his human side realize the "monster" was a guardian. One to protect and cherish. I strongly suggest reading this entire series from book one as characters recur in every book. And watch out for that Flora! I enjoyed the interplay of the characters as she taught him how to accept his hidden side as they worked towards their HEA.
