After two decades as a journalist, B.E. Brouillard made the leap to fiction. It was time to create the dark stories that had lurked in her mind for all those years. Tortured souls, flawed lovers, dysfunctional behavior...her characters are not for the faint-hearted. Having said that, many readers will find common ground with the less-than-perfect heroes of these stories. In spite of a mild case of cynicism, Brouillard remains a staunch romantic - Happily-Ever-Afters are guaranteed.
A child of the global village, Ms. Brouillard loves Paris, Africa, sushi, and champagne. When she's not wordsmithing dark debauchery, she spends time with her beautiful men, their German Shepherds, and her pack of killer ponies. Or drinking martinis with friends.
Alpha Hunt reads like someone handed a she‑wolf a ticking biological clock and instead of panicking, she shrugged, cracked her knuckles, and said, “Fine. Let’s make this interesting.” The whole book hums with that wild, chaotic, deeply female energy—equal parts frustration, desire, and the bone‑deep certainty that she deserves a mate who can actually keep up with her. And honestly? Watching her take control of her own fate is half the fun.
The setup is gloriously unhinged in the best paranormal‑romance way. She’s been busy saving the world, wrangling rogue wolves, and generally being the competent one, so romance has been shoved to the bottom of the to‑do list. But biology waits for no wolf, so she does what any self‑respecting alpha‑in‑the-making would do: she turns her love life into a high‑stakes hunt. Whoever catches her gets the mate bond. No courting. No moonlit confessions. Just claws, adrenaline, and a promise she fully intends to honor.
And then the universe laughs in her face, because the one wolf she swore she’d never forgive—never trust—never even tolerate—steps into the ring. The traitor. The one who broke something in her she never admitted out loud. Suddenly the hunt isn’t just a hunt; it’s a reckoning. Every sprint, every clash, every near‑miss is loaded with history and heat, the kind that makes you mutter “oh no” while grinning like you’re watching your favorite soap couple finally snap.
Their chemistry is feral and messy and irresistible. He’s not here to apologize; he’s here to prove himself. She’s not here to forgive; she’s here to win. And somewhere between the chase and the fury, the truth starts bleeding through—about what really happened, what they really feel, and why neither of them ever truly let go.
By the time the emotional walls crack and the claws retract, you’re fully invested in these two stubborn, scarred wolves choosing each other not because fate demanded it, but because they fought their way back to it. It’s fierce, fast, and deliciously intense, with that perfect blend of sass, bite, and heart that makes paranormal romance so addictive.
This is a wonderful read, great characters and a scenario that hold your attention completely This was a simply wonderful third book in the series and I guarantee that you will enjoy every moment of the series it is a simply wonderful read. I found this to be a very engaging read and it was full of tension and it is amazing to read the series and the sexual chemistry between both Casey and Edirn.
This story also had a paranormal element that will keep you totally captivated and I guarantee that you will love the various elements within this wonderful book, the story has been written so wonderfully and it is essential that you have enjoyed the previous two books that will have kept you fully absorbed.
I look forward to see if you are going to be like myself hoping that there will be future books in this wonderful series, I am sure that other readers will enjoy this book as much as myself.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all their wonderful writing.
Third book in the series Casey is good at her job and sometimes she even forgets she’s a woman because she’s the only woman among men doing a man’s job but witnessing a birth awakes in her the mating instinct and the desire to have children of her own. Edirn has finally found a place to call home: he’s respected and in a privileged position due to the fact that he’s proven more than once his worth. The only one who doesn’t trust him is Casey but when she evokes the mating hunt he thinks that might be the right way to win her trust and her respect Casey and Edirn are two wounded people, deeply marked by their past and not easly trusting people but when danger threats their lives and their pack they realize how much they mean to each other.
Such a fantastic story that warms your heart! Casey is a very independent and strong woman but is definitely vulnerable with a soft side that she doesn’t show much at all. Edirn is a strong quiet type who is so loyal and sweet! I was interested in his character from the previous book and was excited to get his story! They’ve both been through quite a lot and it’s so wonderful to watch them get together and overcome some of their trauma. This had some very sweet moments for definite! A very enjoyable read and a great addition to the series! I very highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
Absolutely loved it and already looking forward to the next in the series!!! I didn’t think I was going to like the heroine at all, she was way to stubborn and held onto a grudge like it was her job even when everyone else was telling her it was ok to trust. But I understand why she was like that and it did endear her to me a bit more. Edirn was perfect, sigh, I loved him and his special ability which he suffered for. The most loyal and wonderful man, I’d want him as guardian for my kids for sure. I received an ARC and this is my honest review
Genres/Tropes • Paranormal Romance • Enemies to lovers
This was my favorite of the series so far! Enemies to lovers is my favorite and you can't help but love all the sexual tension between Casey and Edirn. I've read A LOT of paranormal so it's hard to find something that stands out from the rest. The author threw in a few twists I hadn't heard of before and that is always refreshing. I was wondering if she was going to continue with the series after this one and I am thrilled to find out she is and to read the next.
I am loving this series and after saving the twins this book focuses on Casey & the wolf from previous books Edirn. Casey has trust issues from her life before joining this pack and Edirn is hiding a big secret that also affected his earlier life. Casey especially doesn’t trust Edirn but circumstances bring them together and when Casey requests the Mate Hunt Edirn puts himself forward much to everyone’s surprise. I wasn’t sure if I would like Casey’s story as much as the others but I was so wrong.
This book three picks up from book two. Casey Stone is a warrior and female. She carries a lot of guilt due to her past and the event that happened. Edirn comes to the compound from his efforts to help Gage and Savannah from the evil man. Edirn also has the support of the Alpha. Casey is fooling herself if she doesn’t see the attraction between her and Edirn. He is good wolf-person and cares deeply about his new pack and especially Casey. Read On!
I really don't like stupid heroines. Yes she has reasons, but it is annoying how long she takes to figure things out. At least she finally snaps out of it and figures things out in time to save her mate.
