I miss Kaiser and he literally just left. I don’t feel like Kaneshiro did a good job from keeping that filler match from feeling like a filler match.

I know Nagi is beloved so he’s coming back but I wish he would’ve stayed gone tbh. Actually I wish REO would’ve gotten locked off instead and Nagi somehow found some intrinsic motivation to become a better soccer player.

What can I say? Match was fun as usual.. although I'm sad that Nigeria lost that easily. Buttttt on a plus side I LOVE the designs, like seriously. I'm so so glad we didn't get any mammy stereotypes, and the designs were so cool. I also loved their backstory (the whole orphanage thing). I hope I'm not getting anything mixed up cause it's been a while since I've read it. (and plus I read like 100 chapters with it at once cause I was SERVERLY behind). But I just know the next match against (*SPOILERS*), France is gonna be so hard. But I do have some complaints with the manga. Can the defenders actually defend and the strikers actually I dunno, score? I'm so sick and tired of the defenders doing basically nothing. And it really got me pissed off during the U-20 Arc cause wdym Barou was running up and down the field? (If I'm remembering correctly). Like PLEASE stop doing that. Like the more and more we advance the more the characters get muddled up. I feel like the cast should be cut down somehow, because after Bunny and Hugo (idk if he appeared in this volume). I'm just like.. its too much. Like what happened to their flamboyant personalities seen in Volume 1 all the way to U-20? I mean its still there but like I said it doesn't feel the same. Like feel free to debate me. But maybe it's just because I haven't read it in a while.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ - good.

One of my favorite things about soccer and the World Cup is all the underdogs going up against legacy teams. So I knew I was going to be crushed to see Nigeria get dominated by Japan despite Japan being the main characters. And I was 😮‍💨 Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun seeing Rin in his element.

I'm also looking forward to seeing future lineups because currently, everyone is just too happy to go along with Isagi and it just feels wrong, lol

Start of the WC and HOLY SHIT it’s all gas here!! They’re nonstop on this first half for pretty much 3/4 of the volume. It was so good and everyone gets a glimpse of their off season training so I appreciate it but man they just steam rolled through Nigeria so it feels like this is gonna end next volume, but the way the games are set up seem like they’ll lose against France then scrape by England. I do like the stuff we get from Nigeria’s side but it’s obviously a bad match up.

Finished 6/20/26 but didn't rate it or anything apparently lmao. I remember being kind of bored during the Nigeria match just bc BL went against all new characters & none of them happened to grab me.

this book was spectacular!! i love how you can see all the blue lock boy’s evolutions. i just wish nigeria was actually good tho, their characters designs were too tuff for them to be trash. why’d isagi clock their ass too who he feeling like??
