I knew Julie was going to put my heart through the ringer and was on the edge of my seat as these characters fought to save the world and each other. Oh my gosh! I loved the way this story concluded. It’s everything I could have hoped for and more! I loved getting to know Haven and the journey she goes on with the characters we already know and love. I enjoyed the dynamic between Becks and Haven, the high stakes plot, and nonstop action. This one definitely left me with a smile on my face.

It is so surreal to reach the end of a series which you have adored so much. The first two books were on Talon & Locklyn, which left our Becks in the midst of heartbreak and the world in grave danger. The second book ended on a cliffhanger, which left me wondering what this new plot will bring and how the dynamics will be among all these amazing characters??

The best thing this book did was end on a positive note, where everything got wrapped up, and I was sitting on the edge of the window watching everything happen in the book. This series feeds the imagination of mere humans that supernaturals may exist somewhere, and we don’t know about it. I think that is because the blend between the worlds and creatures was done so beautifully.

The same feeling I got when I read Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunter world, mind you, that work is very close to my heart. And Julie Hall ignited that same love for her characters. The chemistry between Becks and Haven was fabulous, and the bridge between Becks and Talon was just wow. Seeing them getting along after everything was perfect.

It is a must-read series, and now you can binge-read all three books to get the maximum feel of it. The story had everything we readers need to enjoy a fantasy read. It was calm at times and intense in others, and a danger coming on their doorsteps that cannot be avoided. They will have to face it, whether they are prepared or not. The twists and turns kept me captivated and motivated to devour it in a day.

Such a good extension of the Creatures of Chaos universe, focusing this time on Becks!

It's so interesting how Haven grew up so differently from Locklyn, though not necessarily better. Poor girl had it drilled into her by her parents that she would be found by the evil that killed her sister if she used her magic, making her VERY wary of it. Just think, if it was Haven that was taken to the creature world way back when as a baby and sold to Locklyn's parents while Locklyn was left behind with her real parents, they might never have figured anything out (other than their parents knowing they were attacked).

I'm so glad that we got to see this new side to Becks! In Creatures and Kingdom of Chaos, we saw him with the weight of so many expectations on his shoulders, in love with Locklyn while she was falling for Talon. And we definitely continue to see his protective instincts during the running and hiding he and Haven do in Queen of Chaos, but we also see a funnier side to him! And I love that Haven was the one to bring that out in him. The whole keeping his old feelings for Locklyn under lock and key was always going to bite him in the bum. Of course Haven is going to think the worst, especially with him denying his feelings.

I loved the little cameos from Locklyn and Talon, and then Ensley and Titus! And of course Imogen! The training sequences (or not-so-much training) between Haven and Becks was so good. I love how he was able to help her get a little more control over her magic and show her that fearing her magic may not have been the right approach. Though I do think one of my favorite parts of this story was a little glimpse into the bromance between Becks and Talon! At first we think it's just them checking in (briefly) with each other given the danger involved of reaching out while in hiding, but we see more of it when they go on a little road trip. Talon is able to offer Becks some good advice, and seeing Becks take it really shows the growth between the two of them.
I will say, when we get to the final battle, when we get to Becks essentially "activating" Haven's creature, I was really hoping that she would be a phoenix shifter so that she hadn't actually perished. So thank goodness that actually happened quickly!

I appreciated that this final battle did take some time. It's something we'd need building towards really for a book and a half (given the ending from Kingdom of Chaos) so it really deserved some page time and we definitely got it!

I was able to get an early copy of the audiobook, and once again it doesn't disappoint! We got new narrators for Becks and Haven, and both Vanessa and Troy did an amazing job! This was narrated with dual narration, and so they each got to flex their skills doing all male and female voices within their chapters, and both were truly so good.

I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters! It's been so fun on this journey with Locklyn, Talon, Becks, and now Haven. Will definitely come back to revisit them in the future.

If you love a romantasy with he falls first, forced proximity, protector and the girl in danger, she’s the mission, touch her and die, off-limits romance, slow burn, and save the girl save the world, then you need to read Queen of Chaos and the whole Creatures of Chaos series!

I can't believe we've reached the end of this trilogy. 😭 But what a finale! I remember being left awake for hours after finishing KoC, so getting to read this one and finding closure and answers really paid off the wait.

If you were ever Team Becks, this is the book for you. It was fun getting to know more of him, his thoughts, and how he sees things in life. I loved how Haven complements him perfectly, how fire is something common to both of them, and how you root for her from the first page despite her being a completely new character at this point. Their relationship was very sweet, with lots of attraction and chemistry, but also a good dose of mistrust at the beginning. Actually, some things (conversations) get messy, but that's part of the characters being real, growing, and learning how to do life and express themselves.

There were some things I loved and had already been shared before its release, like the bromance, which ended up being a pleasant and fun feature in this book. Other things were kind of expected, especially if you've been following the trilogy (which you should if you want maximum enjoyment), like the confrontation between Becks's past and present. And finally, other things, mainly the final plot twist, I didn't see coming at all, which is but one of the strengths of this author.

Another one is how well she does the found family trope, and I absolutely loved getting to play catch-up with the side characters we've met before. Also, will we ever know how things go for Kade and Imogen? Those two are such a hoot that I wouldn't mind an extra scene focusing on them. 😉

So, if you've made it this far, you're clearly invested in this book or series, and you should absolutely go grab a copy. It's the perfect conclusion to the trilogy, and if you're a fan of the author, you already know she doesn't disappoint. ~ 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

I firstly want to post a quick content warning, Julies books are all closed door! However I feel like this one was a bit more mature in comparison to some of her other works, theres a bit more innuendos and some minor language - I wouldn't put this against the YA rating, its just something to be aware about. We also are dealing with a demon on the run (but thats been building up since book 1!)

We start the book with Becks and Talon searching for Locklyn's twin sister, they find a body that is very reminiscent of Locklyn, which felt like there was some foreshadowing going on there! 😉

Locklyn's sister Haven is literally the definition of, innocent girl who makes stupid decisions and stresses out the reader (AKA me) for half the book.
I love her, okay 🤣, its kinda nice to read a less than perfect and less than strong FMC who does make VERY bad choices, cause like...the world's fine??? Even though shes aware something bad is after her, that's okay?? Nothing will happen 😅.
I mean, she does have the fate of the worlds laying in her hands!

It's so much fun seeing the different relationships forming, some that have a lot of tension in them and some that were EXTREMELY unexpected (Looking at you Kade).

We also see a much more mature Becks (I mean...he is 20 now), one that realises how much he stuffed up his friendship/relationship with Locklyn and despite how much it terrifies him, works at not doing the same thing twice.

Also this bo-Man, is shirtless for half the book so, do with that knowledge as you please.
I actually found it amusing how many times he failed to control his dragon form! 🤭. This guy has it baaaad!!

In true Julie fashion, there is plenty of tension and chemistry, and of course amazing relationships (friendships, siblings etc), you can never go wrong with how she sets up found family!

More an extended novella/epilogue than a true book 3

I think I would have enjoyed this so much more if it had been written as Haven’s own story, with no indication it was connected to Locklyn or Becks and have it be a surprise that was woven in later on. That would have made it so much better for me and given room for Haven to really shine. Instead it reads like an extended epilogue or long novella that was created solely to give Becks his happily ever after and tie up the lingering demon storyline.

Unfortunately, for me the story never develops much depth. The demon feels more like a placeholder antagonist than a compelling villain, and Haven herself never really comes alive as a character. She feels like very surface level FMC with your basic traits. And while the ending tries to give her a transformational arc, it’s more like an overnight switch than growth that was built and earned throughout the story.

Ironically, I enjoyed the beginning and the ending the most. The setup drew me in, and I liked seeing where everything ultimately landed, but by the later middle I found myself tuning out and skimming a lot.

I was happy to see Becks get his HEA, but it just wasn’t nearly as satisfying or emotionally impactful as the first two books.

I also think there was a missed opportunity to explore the relationships between Haven, Locklyn, and their parents. There was so much potential for more emotional conflict, healing, and growing pains than we got and I really would have loved to see some Locklyn and Talon POVs woven in to flesh those dynamics out.

Ironically, my favorite part of the book ended up being the little snippets we got of Imogen and Kade. In the end, I honestly think I could have skipped this one and simply been told Beck got his happy ending and been totally happy.

The long awaited third and final book in the Creatures of Chaos series is finally here. I devoured the first two books, they were freakin epic!!!

A demon is on the hunt for Locklyn’s long lost twin sister, Haven, who had no idea she even existed. With the clock ticking, Locklyn, Talon and Becks race to find Haven before the demon does and protect her at all costs.

Overall, I didnt mind this one, but it didnt quite hit the same as the other 2. This story focued on Haven and Becks. As the finale in the series, I found myself wanting more from our OG's. I would have liked Becks & Haven to have had their own side/ spin off series.

The slow burn was definitely burning, there was plenty of tension, chemistry and longing but I just couldn’t shake one thing... Becks was deeply in love with Locklyn, they dated, and she ended up chosing Talon over him. Then Haven arrives… Locklyn’s 'identical' twin. I couldn’t help wondering whether Haven was meant to be her own character or if she felt like a replacement because Becks never truly got over Locklyn.

I honestly think this romance would have landed so much better if Haven wasn’t Locklyn’s twin.

That said, I liked the quirky humor here and there & the final 30% was packed with all the action. The reveal of Haven’s creature got me like “Whoa… that’s soooo cool" moment.

In the end, I do wish Creatures of Chaos had been a duology, with this story being released as it's own series/ story featuring an entirely new heroine instead of someone who felt so closely tied to Becks’ previous love.

Queen of Chaos was a really nice conclusion to the Creatures of Chaos series, and I’m glad it ended up being Becks’s story. At the end of book two, it felt like the next installment might shift to someone else, but I wasn’t completely sure where things were headed. I was happy to see Becks get the focus here.

Even though this entire series is classified as YA, this book felt the most YA to me out of the three. I think part of that comes down to the pacing. Since this story was packed into a single book instead of spread across two, everything moved exceptionally fast and the whole thing felt like a whirlwind from start to finish.

That said, I did still believe the romance, and I absolutely bought the tension between Becks and Haven. Their dynamic worked for me, and I enjoyed them together. I just don’t know if I fully believed they were deeply in love after only two weeks. I think I needed a little more time with them and a little more room for the relationship to breathe emotionally.

I also think that even though the stakes were technically higher in this book, they somehow didn’t feel quite as urgent as they did in the previous two. Again, I think that comes back to how condensed everything was. Because so much had to happen so quickly, the story didn’t always get the chance to sit with its emotional moments, and some of the bigger developments felt a bit rushed because of it.

Overall, though, I really enjoyed the story. I liked the characters, I had fun reading it, and I thought it wrapped up the series in a satisfying way.

The first 2 books follow Locklyn, Becks and Talon from an academy for magical creatures to deadly trials where Locklyn competes to get win powers as a magicless person in a magical world. Book 2 picks up where book one ends and Locklyn and Talon end up finding a way into the human world to find Becks who was trapped there. The story wraps up so nice Locklyn choses one of the guys and things are good, until they aren't right at the end.

That's where book 3 starts, we find out that Locklyn has a twin sister and the prophecy is really about her and now they have to find her.
The story is good, the world was already built in the first 2 books, but now we get to see more. The descriptions of the world are so good, imagine a red honeymoon suite of horror! The book is a good balance of ups and downs, travelling, playing games to training to the fights at the end. We have new characters, Haven her parents and her friends Kendra and Tate, a body possessing demon and we also get the characters from book 1 and 2 as well and its a good mix of the original characters and new ones. The relationships between the characters are so good from the awkwardness of Becks and Locklyn as former loves to the new dynamic between Becks and Haven as they figure out what they are. I started to shed a tear at the end during the last fight and also laughed at Imogen who comes back at the end.

Overall a great read, a good ending to a trilogy and I'm sad its over but I can't wait to get my copy of this gorgeous book for my shelf!

The Creatures of Chaos series reaches its thrilling conclusion, bringing the adventures of Locklyn, Becks, and Talon to a satisfying close for me. It's has been a fun and enjoyable journey throughout all three books!

Julie puts us right back into their world with her immersive world building and plot movement. There is a smooth flow throughout and it never drops. It is easy to get lost in the book and not want to put it down.

Locklyn's twin sister, Haven, needs to stay hidden so a demon doesn't find her to destroy everything, along with stealing her power. She definitely has quite the adventure. The banter is so much fun!

I loved this book and the entire series! The writing captivates you from the start, drawing you into the story. You truly feel like a part of the story, experiencing every moment alongside the characters. I was fully entrenched in the book, I didn't pull a lot of quotes; so you definitely need to read it to find them for yourself!

This story, along with the entire series, is truly exceptional. If you haven't had the chance to read book one, I highly suggest you add it to the top of your reading list to become immersed in this captivating world!

This was the book I didn’t know I needed — finally Becks gets his happily ever after, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
His story is the perfect mix of swoony romance, tender moments, and action packed battles that keep you flipping pages late into the night!

The pacing felt faster than the first two books, which makes sense since Becks only gets this one installment to tell his journey of love and fresh beginnings.
I also loved how the spotlight shifted to Haven, Locklyn’s twin sister, who suddenly finds herself hunted by the demon that escaped in the previous book. Seeing the world through her perspective — running, hiding, and fighting to survive — added so much tension and heart.

As for the romance, Becks and Haven’s chemistry surprised me in the best way. I thought it might feel strange since Becks once loved Locklyn, but Haven isn’t just “the twin.” Once they truly got to know each other, their connection felt natural and healing, helping Becks let go of his past.

Overall, this was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. I’m sad to say goodbye, but seeing familiar faces from earlier books team up for one last epic showdown against the demon made it all the more rewarding.
I’m definitely looking forward to whatever new adventures Julie Hall takes us on next!

The end of this trilogy was nothing like I expected, but I also don't really know what I was expecting from this.

This is the third and final book of the creatures of chaos series and it was such a wonderful ending to this story. This story started out as a love triangle, and by the end of book two the triangle was over and there was a clear choice that Locklyn had made. I was a little nervous going into book 3 because I wasn't sure what was going to happen with this relationship dynamic. What I didn't expect was for this book to not be Locklyn's book. Yes she was there and present in this story but it wasn't from her perspective, but rather the perspective of the guy she didn't pick and his new love story.

I don't want to give any kind of spoilers, but the dynamics of this relationship were strange, not like Jacob imprinting on a baby weird, but also something I wasn't expecting. I do feel like all of the characters involved handled everything really well, even if it was just a little odd.

I do love that the fantasy elements were wrapped up in this book really well and I love how this story ended.

I had the honor of being apart of Julie Hall's Queen of Chaos hype team. I have been a long time fan of all her books. She is such a unique writer that keeps you guessing until the last minute. The Creatures of Chaos series is a fantastic epic journey that is so original that it hooks you from book one. This series has trials, love triangles, lost and found family, bromance and earth shattering love story. The main characters and world are so well written that I could picture every detail in mind as if I was apart of that story. The first two books lead you down a magical rabbit hole and lead you into the final battle and perfection of Queen of Chaos! I laughed, I cried and mourned the ending of this spectacular series. I have given five stars 🌟 across the whole series and cannot believe this is the end for these badass characters. I want more of everything! Thank you Julie Hall for creating such an amazing original universe for this community. We needed something that would grip us and keep us wanting more. I look forward to your next work of art.

I didn't realize until I started reading this one that we were done with Lochlyn's story (or well she wasn't the focus) and that this was Becks' book but honestly I loved that. I thought Talon and Lochlyn's stories were ended so nicely in book 2 and wasn't sure where it would go but telling Becks and Haven's story was a perfect compliment and fitting end to the series. I liked how their relationship developed and the rocky parts caused by the unusual circumstances felt natural and real and expected. I do wish we had a bit more of Haven and Lochlyn together and figuring out their relationship too but what we did get did again feel pretty realistic - Haven not knowing how to react to her sister being there and it changing her family dynamics made sense. I was happy that not only did Becks find his person in Haven but you could see his growth from who he was in books 1 and 2 and how he had learned from past mistakes and how all the turmoil with Lochlyn set him finally in the right space for Haven, and they were very cute together.

Queen of Chaos by Julie Hall was the perfect conclusion to an absolutely incredible series. From the very first book this story had me hooked and this final installment delivered everything I was hoping for and more.
One of my favorite parts was finally seeing a love story for Becks. After following his journey throughout the series it was so satisfying to see him get the romance he deserved. And Haven? I absolutely love Haven. Every moment involving these characters had me completely invested and cheering them on.
This entire series has been such an amazing adventure. The characters, the world building, the friendships, the heartbreak, and the triumphs all came together beautifully. Julie Hall created a story that will stay with me long after turning the final page.
Queen of Chaos was a fantastic ending to a series I've loved from beginning to end, and I'm not ready to say goodbye to these characters. Now I'm counting down the days until the deluxe edition comes out because I already know it's going to be a stunning addition to my bookshelf!

Did I devour this book? Yes.

Queen of Chaos is book three and the end to the Creatures of Chaos series. This book is a dual-perspective story following Becks and Haven. The dynamics between Becks and Haven and their growing relationship were cute and endearing at times. This being Beck's story felt like it wrapped up loose ties from book two. Even though the story takes place in a little amount of time, the romance and tension felt organic to me. It was a love at first sight kind of story for Becks. Haven's differences were done well and not just a cut and paste copy of her sister. The plot was intense at times, in a good way, and other times you kind of forgot there was a threat when it focused on the relationship between main characters. Shoutout to the bromance I wasn't expecting.

Overall I am very pleased with the way things wrapped up.

This is the final and third book in the series in its written so beautifully and wrapped up fantastic. I loved Haven how she showed such strength encourage. Seeing Lachlan in here in the Haven fight to save the world. I was on the edge of my seat. I was torn but happy to see their story. Seen back. The conclusion wrapped up for Lachlan, Haven, Beck, and Talon story was everything. I enjoyed this story so much. It was so beautiful of heart, racing action and passionate romance. You’ll definitely want to read this series!
I loved teen Haven‘s journey play out. The high-stakes plot was so addictive and I enjoyed the dynamics between Beck and Haven.
Their chemistry was electric. The continued creatures of chaos world is so fantastic and fascinating. This was a highly anticipated read for me and I cannot wait to receive my physical special edition that I pre-ordered. I’m so excited it’s so beautiful. I can’t wait.

I am obsessed with not only this book but the whole series! This was the perfect conclusion to the chaos series. I am really sad to say goodbye to these characters, I have loved the found family, the adventure and action, the romance and magic, but I am really happy with how the story wrapped up.I’ve loved becks from the very beginning and I am so happy that becks, haven and the rest of the characters that I love got there happy ending. I also loved Haven she was so strong and resilient, and the perfect match for becks. I was on the edge of my seat while reading this story especially the last couple of chapters while our beloved characters fought to save the world and each other. It was such an honor to be part of the julies chaos team for the last two books in this series. If you loved urban fantasy, magical realms, adventures/quests, found family, magical creatures and incredible romance you’ll love this series!

First off, this is how you do a time jump! So well done.
I was really happy to have this book about Becks and see him get some fulfillment because while he irritated me a lot at times he was such a great character.
Haven was a great FMC. She was fun and learning to be confident and where she fit in this new world with a twin.
The whole book was amazing. The pace is great! Julie does a great job of pacing fights and twists. The “scary” or “sad” moments are never overly drawn out.
I loved the banter between Becks and Haven.
I don’t want to give anything away but the last like 8 chapters were amazing. Funny moments, gut wrenching, exciting, all the feels.
Queen of Chaos was full of spice free but sizzly romance that was full of description without being spicy or too much. I love how she writes!

Of all three books in the series, this one was easily my favorite. I was completely surprised by the change in POVs at first, but it ended up paying off in the best way.

I can’t go into too much detail without spoiling some major plot points, but this installment follows Becks and Haven, and I absolutely loved the character growth Becks received. It was so satisfying to see how much the author developed him. That said, I do think Haven ended up outshining Locklyn, the FMC from books one and two.

The chemistry and banter between Becks and Haven was hands down the best in the series. Their interactions were hilarious, heartfelt, and made this book such a fun read.

If you’re looking for a light, fun YA urban fantasy featuring magical creatures, a love triangle, easy-to-follow world-building, and strong character development, I definitely recommend this series. I really enjoyed all three books, but this final installment was my favorite.

Thank you to Julie for providing me with an ALC! This was the perfect conclusion to the series. It gives nostalgic CW-show vibes, in the best way possible, packed with urban fantasy action and adventure. I am sad to say goodbye to these characters, but am so happy with how everything wrapped up. This story follows Becks and Locklyn's twin sister, Haven. If you love magical realms/quests, magical creatures, insta-love, he falls first, and adventures similar to shows like The Vampire Diaries/Legacies you'll enjoy this series!

Omg my two favorite audiobook narrators narrating a book together heaven!
We were left on a cliff hanger that probably left so many people railing just like me! So hopefully this review does this new book justice! This book follows Heaven and Beck as they try to save the world that is falling apart around them. Heaven is Locklyn sister and is being hunted by demons and Becks is Locklyn’s best friend who just wants to protect Heaven. Heaven is supposed to be off limits to Beck but will love win always. Their chemistry sizzling and their banter is on point. The narrator bought these characters to life beautifully. They had me kicking my feet, laughing and holding my breath the whole time it was absolutely perfect. They just really drew me in and wouldn’t let be go until the whole story was told. I wish there was more but it was wrapped up very nicely.

This 3 book series has been a favorite since the very beginning of book one and held me enchanted all the way through until the very last sentence of book 3. This is such a rare thing, and shows the true talent behind this amazing series. It’s clean romance so teenagers and adults alike will love it. The romance, the tension, is beautifully captured. The story line is so fun, captivating and full of excitement. The characters you meet along the way are unique and come to life. I love the different developments and surprises. This is not a predictable series. Just when I thought I had something figured out, plot twists came in. Queen of chaos did not disappoint in the continuation of the series, and wrapped up the series perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful story, and conclusion.

I loved the audiobooks of this series. Wonderfully performed!!!

I am so happy to have the redemption of Becks...He started out so sweet in start of the series and I truly wanted him to find his HEA and also to meet his match that would bring out the best of him. Haven was a wonderful character with her quick wit and biting banter with Becks and also her determination to fight back. I loved them getting to grow closer together, even if they both try to deny it. It was also so funny have the old characters back with the friendly picking that left me dying with laughter. This had so truly sweet and heartwarming moment and I could not have imagined a better end for them all. Lastly I have got to say I just love Imogen, she is great.

An incredible conclusion to a phenomenal series! What started out as what I like to call the "magical hunger games" turned into a beautiful story of power (both natural and supernatural), friendship, and love. I adored seeing our old crew - Lachlan for life - but getting to know the new characters and hear their stories was like breathing new life into a story I already adored. From start to finish, this book had me on edge. I was laughing, crying, and screaming a bit at the end (apologies to my husband for that). It broke me a bit inside, but mended me right up like I knew it would. I loved this trilogy from start to finish!!

THE FINAL CONCLUSION TO THIS BEAUTIFUL SERIES! What a journey it has been with these characters! Even though it was the last book, Julie made sure it was action packed until the very end. I also absolutely love love LOVED the way she wrapped up the story in the end, it was the perfect ending without it being over the top. I was so happy to see characters get the stories they deserved and see the others continue to thrive. Now I want to go rent a log cabin in the forest because those moments of the book will live in my head RENT FREE! Julie, you have a way with words and it’s absolutely perfection! I will miss Becks, Locklyn, Talon, Haven and the whole gang!

I love the chaos series!!
This last book finally gives our man becks his love story. And gives us shirt allergic becks!
I love this series and couldnt put any of the books down julie has a way with taking you on a journey catching your attention until the very last page.
Locklyns twin haven is running from the released demon who is trying to destroy both creatures world and the human world. While on the run with becks they run into several mishaps and funy adventures while also dealing with the violence the demon leaves every where. Without spoiling the book it is a must read with twists and turns to keep you on edge.

I have really enjoyed this series as a whole! This book nicely wrapped up Beck's part in the series.
That being said, I felt this book wasn't my favorite. Below is a list of things that may bother some readers.

Content Warnings/considerations:
♦️Male frequently shirtless. A few times it is descriptive, but not excessively.
♦️A couple of instances of innuendo
♦️Language: Infrequent/mild, more than the other books. Sh**, d**n, a**, and one use of b**ch.
♦️Sex/Spice: None, but there are a couple of heavy make-out scenes that were mildly descriptive....more than I prefer in my books, and one "closed door" scene.
