When a wounded warrior takes in a tiny baby at Christmas, the two just might need a hero of their own…

Grayson Ward came home from the Army with scars that have caused him to cut himself off from friends and family. In spite of the fortune he made investing his pay, he feels like a failure and a monster.

His mind is set on solitude, until an ex appears one night with a sweet little bundle. Grayson forms an instant connection with the helpless baby boy, and immediately agrees to take full custody. The calendar suggests that baby Leo can’t really be Grayson’s. But everything about taking care of the baby feels like home to the lonely soldier.

When Grayson decides that the little one could use an extra grown-up in his life, his buddies at the local Veterans center suggest that he should find a nice woman to date. But in small town Trinity Falls, gossip moves at the speed of Santa’s magical sleigh, and Grayson wants no part of that. Besides, what woman would want a single dad with wounds that are more than surface deep?

Hoping to keep things simple and professional, he hires a nanny instead. He doesn’t anticipate the long nights together, their shared laughter at Leo’s antics, or the light in her eyes that’s brighter than the star on his Christmas tree.

But Evangeline has secrets of her own. And if he wants to understand her story, fierce, furious Grayson Ward is going to have to let his own guard down long enough to let someone in.

Trinity Falls Sweet Romance is all about finding family – one clean & wholesome romance at a time. The Trinity Falls Sweet Home for Christmas inspirational series celebrates a group of men coming home to a small Pennsylvania town at Christmastime, and finding love and meaning in the season.

Clara Pines came back with another heartwarming installment in her Trinity Falls enthralling world. Her gentle writing and wholesome storytelling didn't allow me put this book down: Soldier's Christmas Nanny was a very good read.

Grayson is a retired army, he has the scars and the medals to prove his courage and guilt. He has accepted his lonely life in Trinity Falls outskirts until he, unexpectedly, becomes a father, and he asks for some help at the Veterans community center. Here he meets Evangeline who becomes the child's nanny, but she comes from the city and has some secrets that could jeopardize her work..

Grayson and Evangeline got instantly attached to each other, they are perfect together, helping and healing little by little, and with baby Leo they are so sweet. I loved to see them enjoy the festive atmosphere around the small town like a happy family.

I recommend to read this story, especially if you need some more joy and hope at the end of the year.

Grayson Ward is in his hometown of Trinity Falls. He an army soldier who is wounded, has scars and carries guilt. He’s sort of a recluse because of those scars. He doesn’t have to ever work again because of all of the investments he’s made during his military career. One day he gets a knock on the door. It’s a young woman from a one night stand months ago. She has a little boy named Leo. She hands over Leo to Grayson and his heart melts. She leave Leo with him because she doesn’t feel like she mother material. Grayson is happy with it because he finally feels alive. He decides to get custody even though he’s sure Leo isn’t his. He would do anything for that little boy. Since he likes to volunteer at the veteran center, he needs a nanny. In comes Evangeline, Eva. She has a secret. She’s on the run from a biker gang who’s threatened her brother. She’s friends with Sam, who runs the Veteran Center. She goes to work for Grayson as the nanny. That’s what she did back home. The two work together to give Leo a great childhood. They have chemistry. Grayson thinks she would not find him attractive but he’s wrong. Eva thinks he has a big heart, kind and a loving father. He cares a lot. What will he think when he finds out about her brother? Will he make her leave? Will he try to help her brother? Will he fall for the smart, beautiful and loving Eva? He doesn’t want to mess up his custody case. The two just need to let their heart lead. Grayson needs to stop feeling guilty when he saved so many. With this being the Christmas season, will there be any magic and miracles? The characters are wonderful. I was rooting for Grayson, Leo, Eva and her brother. Clara Pines always make you feel you’re right there with the characters. I didn’t want to put it down. So worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

Soldier's Christmas Nanny: Trinity Falls Sweet Romance - Home for Christmas - Book 6
Grayson Ward was released from the Army after being deployed abroad. He cane back to Trinity Falls feeling like he had failed himself and his buddies, one particular. He also felt like a monster with severe burn scars, some that were evident to others. He wants to be left alone but out of the blue a girl he met in the army showed up with a baby boy from their one night stand. She says it’s his son but he knows from the beginning that the baby doesn’t fit the timeline for his age. He has this connection with a child who was not wanted and how he felt about himself so he agreed to full custody of him. Grayson was frugal with his military pay and made investments so he was now independentally wealthy. He volunteered with the local veteran’s center for something to do. The baby, Leo, was a good baby but all the same gave him sleepless nights and lots to learn as a new parent.
Grayson decided to hire a nanny and found Evangeline needed to work and find a new place to live. She thought her brother might be involved with a notorious gang in the city and may try to hurt Evangeline if he didn’t do what the gang asked of him. She needed to disappear. This story could be very real in our time and the PTSD is very real to many former soldiers. We not only have a lovely story but are educated about real life events in a clean and wholesome story.

Grayson Ward had scars from serving in the military, some were not visible to the eye but sat instead in his mind and heart. To deal with everything that happened during one deployment, Grayson thought shutting himself off from all his family and friends would be the best solution. He never imagined all of that would suddenly change when there was a knock on the door, an ex and a baby was placed in his arms. Grayson would do anything and everything to give that baby Leo whatever he would want. Including hiring a nanny named Evangeline who appeared in Trinity Falls with no clothes, no phone and some secrets of her own. Neither was looking for a relationship, but there was no denying an instant connection that could help both of them heal in their own way.

Once again, Clara Pines has managed to put the magic of Christmas, a sprinkle of Trinity Falls, and the beauty of clean romance together and create this amazing book. Her talent is amazing and I cannot wait to see what will happen next in Trinity Falls.

Thanks to 1852 Media and the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book has the very nice story about the traumatized soldier Grayson Ward, and Evangeline a Nanny who has come to Trinity Falls in a rush. The storytelling unravels with baby Leo, left by his mother in Grayson's care. Baby Leo will be the reason Evangeline and Grayson will cross paths both needing help. Evangeline needed a job and a place to stay and Grayson needed a live-in nanny to help care for baby Leo. The book is an easy read with the Christmas season theme and the characters are sweet and heartfelt. Evangeline has her share of hidden secrets, the reason why she couldn't stay in her hometown. The story is about family and sacrifices, nice moments of sharing and being part of something special. Evangeline fit's in the lives of Grayson and baby Leo, giving them all a purpose together. They have traumas and difficult moments to get through, with possibilities of second chances and being a family. Life has it's way of catching-up making the secrets of Evangeline surface when least expected.
This read was a Christmas Tale with the baby waiting for it's magic to happen.
I really enjoyed this book and can definitely recommend it with a hot cup of something good.

This is the first book I have read from Clara Pines and the first book I have read from this series. I will be coming back for more. This was a well written heartwarming story about love and redemption. Grayson comes back to his hometown feeling like a monster with severe burn scars some that are evident to others. He feels the guilt of losing someone close to him. He is mostly a recluse until one day when an old friend he had a one-night stand with drops off a little boy named Leo on his front door. He instantly agrees to take Leo and the bond between them is absolutely amazing to read about.
Eva needs to find a place to hide from the danger her brother has brought to their door. She runs to Trinity Falls to her friend Samantha. Samantha knows that Grayson needs a nanny for Leo. Eva finds not only a job but a home.
Will Grayson and Eva find a Christmas miracle? Reading about these two coming together was not only amazing but beautiful. Such tender moments and so well written. Clara knows how to bring you right into the story. This was the first book I read from her and will not be the last but any means.

Grayson, who is a veteran is still wrestling with his past but when life gives him new meaning he embraces it with both hands. He is determined to make sure that baby Leo is thriving in his care. Becoming a full-time dad brings him job, but doesn't stop bad dreams from coming for him.

Evangeline falls into his lap so to speak and pretty soon denying feelings seems impossible. But Eva has her guard up and lowering her walls doesn't seem like a good idea, despite falling deeply for her new boss and his adorable baby.

I'm still not sure how I find this clean stories so captivating giving how much I love spicy scenes in books, but Clara Pines has a way with words that I dont miss the spicy scenes at all if that makes any sense. This one was yet another story to make my night.

What a beautiful Christmas story. Grayson is out of the service and has returned home to Trinity Falls. He is a hero but thinks he is a monster and not deserving of love or family. One night he has a surprise visit and ends up in charge of baby Leo. Evangeline travels to Trinity Falls to hide from some trouble in the city. When she arrives she has a friend there who takes her to meet Grayson and she winds up as his nanny. What ensues are secrets that both are hiding and a small town and the people who live there who are supportive and caring. Evangeline is trying not to fall for Grayson and Leo as she assumes she’s not staying. Can they both find what they are looking for? When the magic of Christmas and Trinity Falls get together anything is possible! Another well written book, scenes are realistic and believable. Grayson and Evangeline’s journey is one you don’t want to miss! 5+ stars.

Evangeline has been lucky to have an older brother who did everything he could for her after their parents and grandparents were gone, but now she must flee their home to protect herself from a gang. Grayson is home now after serving his country; all of a sudden a woman he knew for only one night is dropping off baby at his house and he agrees to raise the boy. These two MCs, who have powerful backstories, meet in small town Trinity Falls, and Grayson right away hires Evangeline to be Leo's nanny. They are a match made in heaven, seeming to know how to support each other through the toughest of times. I love how Grayson is so generous with his money but also his affection. The writing is wonderful and the story is engaging. I could not put the book down. I will happily read any other books in this series or by this author.

Clara Pines writes the most beautiful and sweet books about ex servicemen and their life that you have to read them all and I find them all so heart-warmingly tender and perfect. Like all the characters Grayson and Evangeline meet when Evangeline flees her hometown and ends up in Trinity Falls because she is friends with Samantha. She gets a job being a nanny to Grayson’s baby boy and together they navigate the responsibilities of being a carer for a child whilst both trying to hide the fact that they are attracted to each other. Grayson is very sweet especially when he helps Evangeline’s brother out of a predicament and encourages him to move to Trinity Falls and start his life in a new town. All the books are so wholesome and all centre around Christmas time which is my favourite time of year. I recommend this book and series and it will bring you so much joy and happiness.

5 Star Review Soldier's Christmas Nanny (Trinity Falls Romance - Home For Christmas #6) by Clara Pines

It was good to be in Trinity Falls, Pennsylvania for Grayson Ward and nanny Evangeline Dunn’s story.

When he agrees to take custody of baby Leo (whom an ex says is his) he has no idea how his life is about to change.

Needing help, he hires a nanny. I love this couple, particularly Gray, he is just a stand up man.

The writing is so descriptive that I can easily see Trinity Falls in my mind whilst reading.

This was a heart warming, entertaining and well written, story that moved me on a number of levels.

I loved the development of their relationship and it made for a heartwarming and well written story.

As always any story written by Clara Pines leaves one with a feel good, hope for mankind and that love does conquer all. Grayson has served his country, but has ghosts that still haunt him. When unexpectedly an infant, Leo is handed over to him he finds a purpose once again. Being in a position to be a stay at home dad has brought him joy, but the nightmares haven’t gone away.
Eva has been warned by her big brother to run! The gang in their old neighborhood has a score to settle. The only place she can think of is Trinity Falls where her friend Samantha lives, As luck would have it not only did Sam still lived there she helped her get a nanny job. With the most wonderful boss one could wish for and the cutest little baby.
And once again there is some trials and tribulations but love wins out as these two wonderful characters find their HEA.
Thank you for this ARC from the author. All opinions expressed are my own. #SoldiersChristmasNanny

Soldier’s Christmas Nanny

This is such a heartwarming story. Grayson has come home from the army with such emotional baggage that he cuts himself off from friends and family. He had invested his pay while in the service so work was not necessary. The failure he feels is real to him until one night a woman shows up and leaves a baby in his care. Knowing a small child needed him made a difference in his life. Evangeline had to leave home in a hurry with nothing so she heads to Trinity Falls where her good friend Sam lives. Finding a job as a nanny for Grayson is fortuitous. They both are hiding secrets. I highly recommend you read their stories

I adored this wonderful book and all the warm and fuzzy feelings it had me feeling. Grayson and Evangeline were incredible characters that I fell for very quickly. Each of them melted my heart and I felt they were just what the other needed. Sweetness, swoon, emotions and heart are all abundant and woven through with small town and festive charm to create a beautiful story that is as potent as it is perfect.

LOVED it!

Honestly, I see a new Clara Pines book, I read it. This is my new fave. Grayson and Evangeline are the sweetest, and little Leo (love it when his chubby hands and cheeks are mentioned 🥰) completes their love story. Great stuff, highly recommend, looking forward to whatever Clara has for us next! (I’m hoping Rory will get his own HEA 🤞🏻)

Such a sweet, quick Christmas read! I absolutely love all the characters and how there was not too much angst. I would have loved a touch of spice(as the main characters didn’t even kiss until they were engaged), but the story line was good so I’ll forgive it. A single parent trope well done!

Heartwarming

This series of holiday romances has captured my heart. Grayson heroic backstory and damaged soul speak of so many soldiers who have lived through horrific experiences. Evangeline's difficult circumstances have not soured her on life. Sometimes it seems there is a guiding spirit putting people in each other's path.

What a lovely story, where the baby is the one who heals and provides what the adults need. The characters were really warm and caring. All of them had such great qualities, made me want to be a part of it all - not just vicariously. A truly heart-warming story that leaves you feeling satisfied and at peace.

We are back in Trinity Falls, PA where we get to fall in love with another couple that deserves love and hope.
Grayson Ward returned to his hometown after serving his country, with scars. The external ones are much easier to deal with than those inside him. Scars that have left him far from the man he use to be.
But when a one night stand shows up with a baby claiming the baby boy is his, Gray’s life now has a purpose. No matter that the little boy can’t be his by blood but is definitely his by choice.
Evangeline Dunn and her brother Rory were raised in the big city by their grandfather. At that time, the neighborhood was friendly and safe, but that no longer is true. Wanting to keep his sister safe, Rory encourages her to take a nanny position in the better parts of the city. Wanting to see her brother, she goes to visit him and discovers he’s been dealing with the wrong people. Rory promptly tells her to leave town . Not knowing where to go, she ends in Trinity Falls where a friend lived and finds herself working as a nanny for Gray.
Gray never expected Evangeline would bring joy and a bright “light” not only to his son, but also to him. But she has secrets that could but them in danger. Will Evangeline trust Gray? If so, will he be able to help her?
This story is a touching , clean, sweet romance about two individuals who come together by chance and realize that a future filled with new beginnings in life and love is within reach. It’s also about family loyalties, and taking chances in finding a better future.
Once again, I fell in love with Trinity Falls and the characters in this and other stories in the series whom we get a chance to “visit” with. Hope you do as well.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
