Romania Monroe has always dreamed of finding the kind of love that can weather anything—the kind she’s seen her whole life in her dad’s motorcycle club.
But being “one of the guys” makes it hard to imagine love coming her way. She’d rather throw punches, ride her bike, or fix engines in the Hawks’ mechanic shop than worry about being pretty. So when she’s kidnapped for her looks, she’s kind of nonplussed.
Her captors don’t realise they’ve taken more than they can handle—or that her family and their new allies, the Diamond MC in America, will stop at nothing to protect her.
And in the middle of it all, Romania just might discover the love she’s been waiting for.
The characters were not for me. The plot was just okay but not great.
Romania is kidnapped at home and after a few weeks held captive she is rescued by an ally MC to her family and stays until her family gets there. She is bi so naturally she gets 2 love interests, a man and a woman. This is also probably the main spoiler and probably the most disappointing part of the book for me. Because of this there was no conflict really or drama.
However, the most upsetting part for me was how Romania was portrayed. She honestly came off very childish. It made the fact that she had a sexual and romantic relationship with anyone feel extremely inappropriate. It was extremely off-putting. I definitely needed more maturity from the characters if they were going to enter into this kind of relationship.
This just wasn’t for me and I wish I would have gotten a sample to read before purchasing because I don’t think I would have bought it if I had.
ARC Review of Romania by Lila Rose * * * * * An energy bursting, funny, action packed, steamy MC romance filled with old faces in multiple connected worlds of this author's creative universe. Unfiltered, wild and sweet.
Rommy knew she was a kick-*ss woman, goregous, an artist with fixing up cars and bikes, and just all-around awesome, but she wasn't exactly prepared for that to be a checklist in getting kidnapped. By a twist of fate, she ends up in the place where she becomes the happiest. Quake, a big man with a big heart yearning for a woman who needs to see her worth and how much she means to him. Eve, hurt by the demons of her past, little voices in her head tormenting her with the possibility that she is not worth loving, both loves Quake and finds a new unexplained adoration with Rommy. Rommy knows she doesn't have a lot of time left with them, but she is going to make sure that these two end up happy...and step away before her own feelings become a problem.
Applause! Applause! APPLAUSE! An FFM romance that is *french-kiss* fantastic. Funny, spicy and had me hooked from the second it came into my possession. Love that FFM romances are starting to pick up a bit more, and happy this author decided to give it a shot. It checked all the boxes, still felt like a Lila Rose book, and comes with more exciting journeys from some of our favourite characters. We have butt-kicking, we have near butt-kicking because someone decided to intervene, we have a MC with a food addiction which I totally respect, and lots of dirty talk. I could really connect with all these characters. Rommy with her 'uniqueness', Eve with those little nasties inside her head, and Quake with how patient he is for someone to see how much they meant to him. A great trio, and their HEA is something had me swooning. Thank you so much to Lila Rose for sending this my way, as well as the shout-out in the acknowledgements! you know how to make a girl feel special!!!
And a powerful quote by Romania that I felt to my very core:
‘I already knew I was different. My family did, too, of course. I mean they were around me all the time. But I didn’t want to put a label to my-as mum called it- “uniqueness.” If people couldn’t take me as I was, then they weren’t worth knowing.’
A diagnosis doesn’t define anyone.
I started this ARC in the morning and finished it by 4pm. I absolutely devoured it in one day. I could not put it down.
Romania or Rommy is full of energy. She’s 1000% percent her authentic self. She’s a little maniac with her overactive mouth and thought processes but it just makes you love her even more. She’s like a little ball of positivity, sunshine and love.
Eve is more I wouldn’t say withdrawn but she has her walls up and keeps to herself. However, she is strong and commands respect with certain people but when it comes to her self, she always doubts and doesn’t believe she is deserving. Honestly, her mind is her biggest enemy.
Quake gave me all the feels and tingling. I loved him. He has a strong presence and you know he would hold his own but he’s a total softie for Rommy and Eve. He loves deep and has so much patience. He doesn’t push, especially not with Eve he lets her call the shots and waits for her to come to terms with her feelings and lets her know he’ll wait forever for her.
These three together are combustible. Their energy and chemistry completely complimented each other nicely. I was completely drawn in from the start but even more when these three were unknowingly falling in love.
I will say, I am normally an MMF kinda girl but this book and these characters are done so well that I was into it. I was rooting for them all and my heart broke just thinking of them not ending up all together.
If you can’t tell, I enjoyed this book immensely. I loved the flow and how fast Rommy is, she reminds me of my mind some days. The character development is there and the plot was not sacrificed for spice. The spice just enhanced their relationship and the journey these characters.
This book has made me realise how much I’ve missed my MC Romance Era and especially Lila’s writing and the worlds she created with the Hawks MC. I’ve personally always found her writing to be easy and so much fun read. I’m always captivated.
There was a little bit of suspense but you don’t really feel it with how positive Rommy is. I don’t even think that’s a bad thing, it’s so refreshing. I loved how we got to see the OG’s and Dodge. He was always one of my faves.
I will say, this book isn’t really focused on the MC world, it’s focused on the relationship and love of Rommy, Eve and Quake. You don’t have the dark and gritty but you sure do have the brotherhood and the family vibe that makes up the MC Worlds we all love to binge.
Honestly, I could go on forever about how much I loved this book but I won’t. Just know it’s brilliant and now I think I might go back and read the rest of this series.
Massive thank you to Lila for sliding into my DM’s and offering me this ARC. Of course I jumped at it because how could I not? I freaking love this world.
Oh and that little mention in the back? I see you! Thank you so much!
Everyone needs to pick up this book and the rest of Lila’s books. You won’t regret it.

I said it recently and I’ll say it again. If Lila Rose writes it, I’m gonna read it.
What I love most about this author's characters are how accepting of each other they are. They are supportive of everyone being themselves and loving whomever they desire. They are happy for each other when one finds their person, or people, to love.
Second Gen books with previous character’s kids now grown up and finding love is wonderful. It incorporates beloved characters from previous books while introducing new characters to fall in love with.
I also love that this book bridges both the Hawks MC and Diamond MC. While they’ve interacted with each other before in books, this is the first featuring characters from the MC's falling in love with each other.
Rommy is a unique FMC. She’s strong and independent but knows she has support from her family and MC. She speaks her mind and is not afraid of being herself.
I honestly was not sure what was in store regarding her love interest. At this point I no longer read book summaries for Lila Rose books. But I love that Rommy ends up with two love interests. I didn’t see either of them coming her way but for someone who loves love, Quake and Eve are perfect matches for her.
I’ll be honest, I was a little worried while reading because Eve and Quake have quietly had a thing for a while. I wasn’t sure how Rommy would fit in.
Rommy helps bridge the gap and solidify the relationship between Eve and Quake. She becomes a good friend and there is a natural comfort when they are all together. Along the way the dynamic changes and sparks fly when the three realize they can be more.
Another fantastic read! I’m already looking forward to whatever this author has coming next.
**Thank you @lilarose78 for allowing me the opportunity to read and review an ARC. I cannot express how happy and thankful I am!**
I’ve been a fan of Lila Rose’s work for some years now. She is an auto buy author for me. I don’t even have to read what the book is about to know that I am more than likely going to enjoy what she has written. I have read all of the books in her backlist, with the exception of the contemporary YA book that she published a number of years ago but my favourite books of hers, are her Hawks MC series. It was the series that introduced me to her writing and so it has a special place in my heart and with every book written in the Hawks MC: Next Generation series, that love just expands. Romania is a bright spark of sunshine and love of a character and I just want to reach into the book and give her a hug. She’s been a favorite character of mine since her first appearance and reading her book, seeing the world through her eyes, just reaffirmed why she’s a favourite character of mine. This book is a FFM story, which is a new relationship dynamic for me. I’ve read a number of Why Choose books before but I’ve never read a FFM book before but I enjoyed this book and the relationship dynamic a lot. Lila’s writing as always was engaging and you are immediately drawn into the story and taken through all of the emotional ups and downs. After finishing my read of Romania, as usually happens when I read one of Lila’s books, I found myself just wanting to stay immersed in the worlds that she creates for just a little longer, so I reread Infinite Bond and The Hidden Kingdom trilogy. This book was a five star read for me, not only for the writing, the worldbuilding, character development and tropes of brotherhood and found family that I adore, but because as with most of Lila’s books, I remember the story, the characters and the world, long after I turn the last page
This did not go at all like I thought it would go. Rommy’s story was such a pleasant surprise. I totally got hooked!
We met Rommy in Henry’s story, and she totally intrigued me. This story starts with a bit of intro and then goes into how Rommy was kidnapped and ended on that ship.
After she was rescued, she ended up at the Diamond MC! She decides to stay a bit and get to know everyone. This is where she meets Quake and she is immediately attracted to him. But she quickly finds out that Quake is in love with Eve. And she won't get in between two people obviously in love.
So, she becomes their best friend. But little does she know that these have started developing feelings for her too 😊
This story was so great I can't describe how awesome it is to get back into the Hawks and Diamond MC world. Seeing all my favorites was just awesome. Rommy, Quake and Eve’s story was amazing. I loved that Rommy was so straight forward. She was a fighter with a big heart. And Quake was so sweet and adorable especially when he was blushing when he got shy, lol. And Eve she just needed to find her person that she could let go of her past issues.
Love all three of these characters, they were just a breath of fresh air. And you could just feel how connected they were to each other and how perfectly they matched. Tried to make this story last longer, but once you start a Lila Rose story you just get hooked and can't stop till the end 😊
Thanks, Lila, for letting me read this amazing story 😊
Wellllll this is my first MFF book and now I'm curious..
Romania is oh so authentically herself. Shes one of those characters that immediately stole my heart. She's sweet, energetic, protective and honestly lives in her own bubble.
Eve is gaurded, with a hurt heart and some baggage that she wears like a suit. She's quite, not wanting to be the centre of attention but under all that is sweet and to much heart.
Quake is the sweetest. The giant silent type that protects and loves with his whole being. He was the whole damn package of deliciousness.
There dynamic was definitely unique and one I've never read before. Eve didn't stand a chance against Romania because she loved her before she even understood what kind of love she felt. Romny dug herself a place in their lives breaking down walls, softening hearts and making everyone laugh every step of the way. Three very different personalities that complimented one another. It was playful and hopeful and a gentle thing but no less meaningful.
The side characters as always are just magical. They bring so much personality to the pages and have you in fits of giggles and gasping the whole damn way. I'm so looking forward to who ever is next!!.
Love this 2nd generation book, Quake and Eve have something going on with each other but Eve has been holding herself back due to a traumatic childhood. Romania is kidnapped and ends up at the clubhouse that Quake is a member of. She develops feelings for both Quake and Eve but thinks there’s no chance they would both feel the same about her so decides to go back home to Australia and her family. Love the fact that Romania is not your typical FMC and that Quake and Eve accept her as she is and don’t want her to change the things that other people call quirks and want her to change. They all accept each other and it’s a beautiful love story. Highly recommend this book, series and author to everyone ❤️🖤
Rommy was one of the best parts of Up In A Blaze, I was looking forward to her story. And she’s just as gorgeous in this as she was in that book. I love her character, her enthusiasm for life, her DGAF attitude and her self acceptance. I’ve also wanted to know Eve and Quake’s story since seeing them in both the Polished P&P and Diamond MC series, I’m glad these 3 end up together.
I loved this, it’s now one of my favourite Lila Rose books. I loved the banter, seeing all the guys from the aforementioned series as well as the Hawks MCs. It takes a while to get there, but there’s some good spice scenes, and I loved the build up to it. This book is up there with my fave in the series - Ruin.
The characters were well developed, the story well written, and behavior well explained. I have to say, I wouldn’t have chosen to read this book if there were trigger warnings available. This is the second time I’ve read a book by this author that didn’t have a trigger warning and regretted it. I will not be reading any more from this author unless there are trigger warnings available up front. I’ll reiterate that the book was well written and so well thought out. I love how full the characters feel when reading their thoughts and inner processes. While this author thinks up amazing stories, I strongly suggest including trigger warnings in every book.
I have been waiting what feels like forever to be able to read Rommys story, and it was everything I hoped it would be. There is something about her that makes you fall so in love with her and want nothing but the best. I knew she would end up with 2 people. Her capacity to love is just so huge she needs more then one person to love. The way she helped bring Eve & Quake together and then was willing to step aside to not ruin anything made me love her even more. But Eve & Quake knew how special Rommy was. They knew that they were not complete without her. Lila always has the best feel good romance woth just the right amount of laughs and tension to make the book phenomenal.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I was excited about this book as just reread the series but sadly it wasn’t for me. I thought Rommy funny in previous books, her lack of filter and chattiness made me smile, so I was looking forward to seeing her character grow. I have enjoyed polyamorous relationship books previously but the relationship between Rommy, Quake and Eve didn’t feel equal to me, more as if Rommy was there to make their relationship work. I admit I didn’t make it to the end of the story so maybe this is an unfair assumption and the storyline changes as the book progresses. Eventhough I didn’t enjoy this book I am looking forward to reading future Hawks next generation books.
Romania has something bad happen to her (which we knew about from Up in a Blaze). And something wonderful happens because of it. She is strong and quirky. It was so fun to visit with the Hawks MC and the Diamond MC. I love keeping tabs on them and how their families are growing. I know that Lila Rose was a little worried about this book, but she hit it with taste. Enjoy.
I have read and LOVED every single one of the Hawk MC series. I love reading about the kids of the characters growing up and finding their own story. Rommy is such an amazing character so full of love and depth. She brings out the best in everyone around her. The relationship between Eve, Quak and herself is a beautiful. This is the first poly FFM for me and I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see who's kid is up next !
Well, I just ignored my adult duties! HOLY COW this book was AMAZING, simply BRILLIANT! Romania is one BadA$$ FMC you will want all to yourself. This book will make you choke up a little with heartbreaking moments and possible crying. But don't worry there is plenty of STEAM, Action and LOVE!!! Hands Down 5+ Stars...... In all honesty this may be one of my top 5 favorite books by Lila!
As a huge fan of this series and univers I have been a little nervous about reading Romania's book since she was a character that for me was a little unrealistic side character for me who lacked dept.
But Lila proved me wrong again about ever doubting her! Romania had so much to offer and to experience the world from her mind was an amazing place to be 🩷
She was perfect for Eve and Quake and helped Eve so much in being true to her self!
I loved how i got to know Eve's softer sides and see how she evolved and learned about friendship and love.
Even if you don't normally like FF this is not an in your face FF book and i feel like it is a good beginners book to FF too.
Tropes: Grumpy/sunshine Best friends to lovers Brothers best friend Bi awakening Neuro divergent represention Poly Relationship
Okay I really didn't know this was out, I clicked it but didn't see any reviews so thought - darn it, it's not gonna be out for.months. TO MY SURPRISE it's out and I read it all in one evening.
So funny, hot and emotional.
3 people overcoming internal struggles and they got perfect I have read.all books and all soon offs and I just hope. They never stop
I absolutely loved this! I loved the dynamic between them all. I loved Rommy so much! She was such a great character! It was so exciting to see characters from both Hawks and Diamond and to see Rommy getting all the love from her old family and her new family. This was amazing!
Rom is a different but has a big heart she's loved by all but one day she's kidnapped her father mother brother and the club are out looking for her she's no flower she can look after herself they taught her how to fight then the American club get them out but what happens next is wow
Super disappointing since I was really looking forward to this one. But no plot and so little chemistry. Very repetitive and too much telling and now showing. I did not need to have every character say how much our FMC was like sunshine. Agh. And she’s supposed to be BMF but never got to do anything.
Nothing is better than when Lila Rose adds to the Hawks Family. Love the writing, the characters and I’m sure you can read this without reading the other stories first. But why would you?!!
Probably would have been a great story but ff romances are just not for me even with a m in the mix .But I love the hawks world so it’s a 3 stars for me because I didn’t want to finish it doesn’t mean it isn’t a great story it’s just not for me
Do not like that there are no physical descriptions of the characters. It made it hard to picture them. Also, I am not interested in the dynamics of a threesome. The author can spin an interesting story besides this but not enough for me.
I loved Rommy's book! Rommy is like a breath of fresh air. I loved her so much and hope to see her in future books. Quake and Eve were the perfect people to balance her. I loved her story and glad she got her HEA!
I absolutely love this book. Rommy is one of my favorite in the Hawks MC series. I didn't want it to end, such a great storyline. Can't wait for what's next.
Lila rose never disappoints! I loved how she joined the Hawks and diamond mcs together. Ive been waiting so long rommys book. I finished it in 3 hours 🤣
