"Whistleblower" by Gerritsen - Catherine Weaver is divorced and on her way to her friend Sarah's house in northern CA, when a man stumbles into the road in front of her and begs for hep. She takes him to the hospital and goes on to her friend. The next morning, Sarah and her unborn child have been murdered and Cathy and Victor Holland are on the run - he's a scientist who's uncovered some deadly secrets and the cover-up goes clear up to the White House. All eventually works out.

"Mirror Mirror" by Stella Cameron. Lauren Taylor runs an answering service and is continually used by her ex. Jack Irving runs a family commercial greenhouse and someone is sabotaging it. Lauren is gun shy of "younger" man (2 years when you're 39?) and both have hang-ups from their first marriages. Turns out one of her employees is feeding info to the saboteur - a rival greenhouse family.

"Lover Stranger" by Amanda Stevens - man wakes up with amnesia, a gun shot wound and a dead body. Turns out to be a DEA agent under deep cover in Mexico who's unknowingly been given the fact of the doctor to cover his misdeeds. Didn't finish.
