Really appreciated the Christian perspective on a broken marriage and the dual-timeline writing made the story more interesting.

This was such a cute story about a marriage on the brink and the power of faith and family. Olivia heads to Hawaii to escape her failed marriage and her son Micah's recent health scare, but her estranged husband Matthew shows up determined to win her back. It's a quick read that really focuses on what matters most. Watching Matt and Olivia navigate their broken relationship while trapped together by a tropical storm was both heartbreaking and hopeful.

What really worked for me was the split-time storytelling. The book uses flashbacks to show how Olivia and Matthew fell in love and then how their marriage slowly fell apart. Books with flashbacks aren't usually my favorite, but I really enjoyed being able to get the full context here. Seeing them progress through the years helped me understand how two people who were so in love could drift so far apart. It made their present-day struggles feel more real and their journey back to each other more meaningful.

The faith element was beautifully woven throughout, especially through their son Micah's prayers for his parents. This is a marriage reconciliation story that doesn't sugarcoat how hard it is to rebuild trust, but it shows that with God's grace, nothing is too broken to heal. It's a sweet reminder that romance doesn't end at the altar and that marriages need daily care to stay strong.
