The Other Twin, is a psychological thriller by Shalini Boland. This is a quick read that deals with identity theft and revenge that asks the question: How do you defend yourself from a predator who shares your own face?

The story centres on a twist of fate where identical twins are separated at birth. Bella is the sister who lives a privileged life complete with a dream house, a thriving business, and the seemingly perfect boyfriend. Her sister Jade lives just a few miles away, she exists in an extreme world to Bella, constantly struggling to make rent and watching her sister’s advantaged existence from afar through with bitter resentment.

Jade feels that Bella isn’t just lucky, but a thief. She believes Bella stole a future that should have been shared, and she decides it is finally time to claim what she deserves. Jade begins to slip into her sister’s perfect world like a poison. The suspense builds as Bella’s life begins to breakdown. Strange incidents occur at her business and cracks appear in her home life. How can she protect herself from a lethal threat when she doesn’t know it exists.

This is a quick read, fast paced with a creeping feeling of dread and the calculated scheming of a woman determined to erase her sister’s existence. Jade doesn’t just want her sisters wealth but Bella’s identity. This was an entertaining read that pushes my belief to the limits.

Another great psychological thriller from Shalini, one that will keep you captivated, engrossed and compelled to read.
Told in a dual time line of twins Jade and Bella who were separated at birth but were totally unaware of this until one of the twins Jade found out their history!
What follows is a tense thrilling read as the differences in opportunity lifestyle privilege and wealth are highlighted, Bella successful business owner, attractive,own apartment and car and Jade living with her mum in a one bedrooms flat working a dead end job couldn’t have more different lives, this fuels Jade to take make matters into her own hands in order to take back what she feels is rightfully hers!
What follows is a twisty intricate plot that draws you in and culminates in the most jaw dropping trust that I had absolutely no inkling of

Discovering that you have a twin and that her life is better than yours can push you to your limits, and that is exactly what happens to Jade when she learns of the existence of the successful Bella.
A novel that alternates between the perspectives of the two twins and their very different lifestyles, both of which come with their own difficulties.
With a direct style, Shalini Boland delivers a compelling and utterly absorbing novel, the sort you can’t put down until you’ve finished it, almost without realising it.
Perfect for fans of psychological thrillers looking for something entertaining and gripping.

This was a very quick and entertaining thriller that I read in two sittings! I loved how unhinged the MC was and the lengths she went to to get what she wanted. The duel timeline worked together really well and the different POV's brought it all together. The only thing I'll say is that it felt like it ended a lottle too abruptly and I would have loved for it to have been a lottle longer. The ending was very good and came together nicely though. I loved the twist at the end! I'll definitely be recommending this book!

An absolutely gripping novel about separated twins.
One lives a privileged life, and the other lives a life of hardship.

There are twists and turns in this book that made my head spin.
I read this in one night, it is fast paced and a real pageturner. Shalini Boland knows how to write a disturbing novel that is dark and twisty.


An unmissable read. It is compelling and engrossing. And the ending.... my jaw dropped.

Be careful of what you wish for, you might just get it!

A solid mystery from a favorite author.

The Other Twin centers on Jade, a young woman whose whole life has been a struggle. When she learns that she has a twin sister, Bella, who was adopted into a wealthy family, she is seething.
Why isnt she leading the life that Bella has? Why must Jade be the one to struggle?

So she hatches a plan to take back what is rightfully hers: that perfect life. How far will someone go to get what they want? What if it means destroying people in the process?

A quick read that will keep you reading from start to finish!

I usually love Boland’s books, but this time the writing didn't grab me. I didn’t like any of the characters, and Jade went so far in her quest to meet Bella that it didn’t feel plausible. Readers who love a surprise reveal will love it, though. I saw the end coming right away. 3 stars

I enjoyed this. The plot really held my interest and I read the book very quickly as I had to know how it all worked out! The twin theme is done a lot with psychological thrillers, but this one brought something a bit different to the genre, which I appreciated.

My only drawback was that I felt that the characters could have had a little more depth, but overall I liked this book and would recommend it.

I just finished it and honestly this was so good. From the word go not what I expected.

Slowly unfolded and everyone had character flaws, which I liked way too much. The twists and turns
were so much fun I thought I was at Alton Towers

Only problem is now I don’t have a book for my birthday 😂😂

Great plot, great read is all I can say. Up to the last page this hand me totally invested in their story. Brilliant.

This was such a fast read, I didn't want to stop.
Definitely kept me gripped through out. To see what was going to happen with Jade and Bella.
Didn't see the ending coming which was a good surprise!

I read this in one sitting! I don't think I've ever read a book by Shalini Boland and not rated it 5 stars. I did figure out the plot twist in this one but it was still a crazy ride!!
