Jack Carter is lost. After pushing the love of his life away in a misguided attempt at chivalry, he’s given up on any attempt at happiness. When the woman of his dreams comes barreling back into his life like a nightmare, he finds himself tangled with her in a way neither of them expected. Any hope for a second chance quickly goes up in smoke, because when the truth comes to light, there’s no way for their story to end except in flames.
Margot Sinclair has almost everything she’s ever wanted. Almost. Picking up the pieces of a shattered heart at twenty-three was never in her life plan. To numb the pain, she throws herself into her business until an unexpected collaboration with her past forces her to face her feelings head-on. She gave up on waiting for her Prince Charming to save her years ago, but a man behind a mask shows her that she may have needed a villain all along.
First off, thank you to T.K Drake and The Author Agency for an ARC of this book!
The way I devoured this in 24 hours is insane! I was hooked from the very first chapter. Margo and Jack had a sweet, complicating love story. Some chapters ripped my heart out while others put it back together. The text banter is 10/10 and the spice is spicin’.
We love an FMC who knows her worth and an MMC who isn’t afraid to grovel for the woman he loves.
Jack has been a part of the Sinclair family for nearly his entire life. But he doesn't think of the Sinclair daughter, Margot, as his sister the way her brothers do. He can never lose his family, though, and neither does he want to hold Margot back from living the life he thinks she deserves. So instead of being with her the way they both want, he pushes her away, hoping she'll go out and live that life. So why does his heart feel like it's still with her? Why does it hurt so badly that she hates him? What if he could find a way to have even just a piece of her...without her realizing it? Then claim her heart again and never let her go?
When Jack broke her heart, Margot swore to avoid him for as long as possible, and to never, ever let him near her heart again. Unfortunately, her success with her lingerie design company means she's now set to work with her brothers' and Jack's sex club. Yep, she'll be in close proximity to the man who broke her heart, the man she still loves (even though she won't admit it). She'll have to remember to keep her anger near the surface at all times, lest she let Jack charm his way back in.
I was expecting all the spice, considering the sex club setting. I was expecting some angst, but I was definitely not expecting the rollercoaster of emotions that both Margot and Jack, especially Jack, put me through. He had absolutely no problem being vulnerable to Margo, groveling like a champ, and wearing his heart on his sleeve. Margot, for all her determination to keep herself distant, stood no chance in the face of Jack's determination to redeem himself and have the second chance they both deserved. Brother's best friend, BDSM and power exchange, second chance, and groveling too?!?! There is absolutely no way I wouldn't fall in love with a story filled with all these tropes, plus snarky, witty banter, 2 lovable leads, and more heart and emotion than expected. After I fell in love with Margot, Jack, and all of the Sinclairs, I am impatiently waiting for Henry's story next!
ARC provided by The Author Agency for an honest review.
Book 2 in the Sinclair Affairs series: Jack and Margot. This is a childhood best friend, age gap (7 years), forbidden romance, found family, best friends little sister, hidden identity, masked man, groveling and pining, friends to “enemies” to lovers, second chance romance. I couldn’t put this book down. Book 2 follows Jack and Margot’s childhood to adulthood and how things went from platonic love to real and all consuming. The pining, groveling, up and down emotional ride had me completely sucked in. I couldn’t put it down. Book 1, Redeemed in Crimson, was a 5⭐️ read for me and I was so excited to read this book and it blew me away. T. K. Drake is such an amazing story teller and writes the most gripping stories. The push and pull emotional journey that Jack and Margot went through had me connected and emotionally invested in them the entire book. 10000% recommend this book and this whole series. Can’t wait for her next book in the series!
🎭Hidden identity 💕Second chance 🏡Found Family 🌶️Adult Club I was so excited for this second book in the interconnected series. This book follows Jack and Margot. Jack and Margot grew up together and were always close as children, he always called her princess and he was her Prince charming. He’s a little bit older than Margot and she has been crushing on him for years and years, but he always saw her as a little sister. Fast forward many years and Margot and Jack finally connect in the way that she always wanted, but she wakes up in the morning to find a note from him telling her to go live her dreams in Paris and not to wait on him. Margot is absolutely heartbroken but fast-forward two years and she becomes an absolute boss in Paris designing her own lingerie and opening many stores. After two years, Margot comes back to New York for Jack’s opening of his adult club. Margo‘s lingerie and Jack’s new club is having a collaboration and they reconnect. But Margot wants nothing to do with Jack and decides instead to go to a different anonymous adult club. This is when the story absolutely heat up because our masked man that Margot meets to have spicy time with is no other than Jack, but Margot has absolutely no idea. The beginning of the book starts off super sweet and although I love that, I was wondering when the spice was gonna come in and wow, I was not disappointed because about 30% of the way through the book, it absolutely heats up and I was floored and giddy by what I was reading, I absolutely loved it. This book has the perfect amount of spice, sweetness, and lines that will have you seriously tearing up, I think I cried twice throughout this book. It made mee so emotional. You are going to absolutely love Jack and Margot’s story. I cannot wait to get Henry’s book next, he seems a little bit neurodivergent to me and I can’t wait to read his story. He is definitely a spicy character and I cannot wait to see what he gets up to.
This is the second book in the series, but it totally works as a standalone. (I haven’t read the first one… yet 👀 but that’s changing real soon.) And trust me, after this, I’ll be first in line for the next.
⭐️ 4.5 out of 5 stars Y’all. This book was SO good. I laughed, I gasped, I bookmarked a ridiculous number of spicy and hilarious moments. I was living for the banter, the unraveling of their past, and that absolutely soul-reaching connection between Jack and Margot.
🔥 It’s giving: • Brother’s Best Friend • Second Chance • BDSM / Power Exchange • Secret Identity • Friends to Enemies to Lovers • Spicy scenes with actual plot • Oh—and a masked man 👀
Jack is a s3x club owner with a heart and a past. Margot is a badass CEO of an intimate clothing brand. Their lives have been entangled since they were kids, he’s basically part of her family, but that just makes everything so much more forbidden. The tension?? Unreal. The chapters of childhood added so much emotional depth and made their adult relationship feel earned and meant to be.
The inner monologues? Had me cackling. I’ve got so many highlights that are just their ridiculous (and relatable) thoughts. The mom? ICONIC. She drops bombs of drama, offers zero explanations, and dips. 10/10 chaos queen energy. I adore her.
What kept it from a full 5 stars was the third-act breakup, not because it was bad (it was actually done well!), but because I always dread them. I saw it coming, and while it didn’t ruin the book, it did pull me out a bit. Thankfully, the comeback was worth it.
Oh, and just wait for the hospital scene. That's all I'm gonna say. 👀
If you’re looking for a spicy, emotional, and genuinely funny romance with characters that feel real (and a mom who could absolutely have her own spinoff), this one's for you. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Henry.
Masked in Deception by T.K. Drake is an angsty, emotional, and intensely passionate romance that blends forbidden love, secret identities, and raw vulnerability. 🎭🔥
Margot and Jack’s story is the perfect storm of tropes: brother’s best friend, second chance, friends-to-enemies-to-lovers — all wrapped in a forbidden romance that’s equal parts heartbreaking and intoxicating. Margot, a fierce CEO who threw herself into work after Jack shattered her heart, collides again with the man who once pushed her away. Only now, Jack isn’t just her childhood crush — he’s a masked Dom at a sex club, and their reunion is explosive.
The BDSM club scenes are unapologetically hot, with power exchange, dirty talk, and an undeniable breeding kink woven into their dynamic. Yet beyond the spice, the emotion is what makes this book unforgettable. Following them through different ages gave their connection depth, and watching Jack show his vulnerability — crying, groveling, and proving he’d choose Margot above everything — made him the ultimate book boyfriend. Margot’s strength, combined with her willingness to risk her heart again, balanced his intensity perfectly.
The angst is palpable, the devotion fierce, and the forbidden tension kept me hooked from start to finish. Jack’s protectiveness, his willingness to kneel, and his determination to fight for Margot made their second chance not just believable, but breathtaking.
If you love: ✨ Brother’s best friend ✨ Friends-to-enemies-to-lovers ✨ BDSM + sex club settings ✨ Masked identities + breeding kink ✨ Heroes who grovel and cry
…this book delivers everything. Masked in Deception is raw, emotional, and scorching in all the best ways. 💫
Masked In Deception Sinclair Affairs Book 2 T.K. Drake
Jack & Margot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶
Brothers Best Friend Second Chance Secret Identity Power Exchange BD$M S3x Club Found Family Friends to Enemies to Lovers
This was a great 2nd book in the Sinclair Affairs Series.
Jack and Margot were very different from Sloane and Ledge. Equally great though.
Jack has been in Margot's life since she was born. Informally adopted into the Sinclair family, he is a brother to Ledger and Henry. He has always seen himself as Margot's protector. Never really as a brother.
Margot felt the same and as she grew up she knew she loved Jack. She declared he would be the one to marry her.
“Just you? Margot, there is no just you. It’s all you. Everything has always, only ever been you.”
They have had a lot of ups and downs over the years. Bad timings and away in different countries.
Until one time she thought they would work. Only for the next morning he sent her away to live her life.
Jack ever the martyr just to spite himself. Thinking the Sinclairs won't approve or she deserves more than him.
Years after they reunite in an … uncommon way. Sneaky Jack will do anything to be with her again.
These two were hot like fire. Incredible chemistry and matched each other in kink.
“I am yours and you. Are. Mine,” he growls. “You’ve always been mine, Margot. I won’t let you go again. For anything.”
This man is such a simp for her lol like her cries, begs, pleads, and does all the unhinged and sweet things. It's pretty awesome. But also smarter up lol I wanted to smack him at times and give him a shake.
I just finished reading "Masked in Deception," the second book in the Sinclair Affairs series, and let me tell you, Margot and Jack did not disappoint! I was eagerly counting down the days until their love story was released, and WOW, it was worth the wait! Since Jack is best friends with Ledge, this book took things to a whole new level compared to the first one.
Margot and Jack have a deep history together. They grew up side by side and witnessed each other’s lives through every stage, developing an amazing friendship along the way. Margot truly believed they would end up together, but that all changed when Jack broke her heart and sent her away to start a new life in another country. His reasoning? He thought the Sinclairs wouldn’t approve of their relationship.
Fast forward a few years, and Margot is back home. Their paths cross again, and this time, Jack isn't going to let Margot slip away so easily. He’s ready to do whatever it takes, even if it means starting off behind a mask and embracing his role as a dirty-talking Dom—something he knows Margot needs.
The journey of Margot and Jack is just pure perfection! Watching them open up to each other and heal from their past struggles was so heartwarming. It was beautiful to see Jack be so vulnerable, crying and begging for forgiveness, proving to Margot that she’s always been the one for him. And Margot letting down the walls she built to take another chance on the man she’s loved for so long? Just wow! I found it hard to put the book down; I wanted their story to keep going!
I’m really excited for the next book focusing on Henry, and I can’t wait to dive into it!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jack and Margot have been part of each other’s lives since birth. After losing his mother, Jack was taken in by Margot’s family and became both her protector and her Prince Charming. As they grew up, their bond deepened into something more, but with Jack terrified of losing the only family he’d ever known, Margot remained off-limits. Their paths eventually drifted apart, though they never stopped being each other’s favourite person.
When their long-suppressed feelings finally burst free, Jack breaks Margot’s heart by walking away, convinced he isn’t good enough for her. Two years later, Margot has returned, determined to move on, even as their connection burns just as brightly. Fate throws them together again in the unlikeliest of places, a kink club, where Jack, masked and in his alter ego as Sir, is paired with Margot, who has come seeking domination. Their explosive reconnection is wrapped in secrecy, but what happens when their family finds out or when Margot realises who her Dom really is?
This book was full of longing, angst, forgiveness and an all-consuming love that spanned a lifetime. The author beautifully showed the progression of Jack and Margot’s relationship from childhood to adulthood, making their bond feel unshakable and inevitable. I really felt for Jack. He was torn between his devotion to Margot and the fear of losing the only family he had. On the other hand, Margot’s pain and anger at Jack’s choices were just as raw and valid. Their journey wasn’t easy, but the challenges made their love story even more powerful. Jack’s grovel was heartfelt, his love for Margot passionate, wild, and all-consuming. Honestly, if only we were all lucky enough to find a Jack.
Masked in Deception by T.K. Drake had me turning the pages nonstop—I devoured this book in just a few hours. 📚🔥 T.K. Drake did not disappoint. The story is messy and heartbreaking, filled with angst, emotion , and addictive tension that kept me hooked from start to finish.
Margot and Jack grew up side by side, forging an incredible friendship. Margot always believed they were meant to be together—until Jack broke her heart 💔 and sent her away to start a new life abroad ✈️, fearing the Sinclairs wouldn’t approve of their relationship. Years later, Margot returns home 🏡, and their paths cross again. But Jack isn’t just her childhood crush anymore—he’s now a masked Dom at a sex club 🎭🔥, and this time, he’s not letting Margot slip away so easily. He’s willing to do whatever it takes.
Their journey is pure perfection. Their reunion is explosive 💥, and watching them open up, confront their past, and begin to heal was incredibly heartwarming ❤️. Margot and Jack’s chemistry is electric ⚡ layered with deep emotion, and the spice? Absolutely scorching🌶️🔥. Their witty banter—especially the text exchanges📱😂—had me giggling and kicking my feet. I found myself rooting for them every step of the way.
This book made me feel it all: laughter, tears, screams, pain, and love. Jack’s vulnerability—his willingness to cry and get on his knees for Margot—is beautifully portrayed. It’s so touching to see how far he’s willing to go for the woman he loves.
I highly recommend this read! ✅

ARC Book Review: Masked in Deception by T.K. Drake. Thank you for choosing me as an ARC reader in exchange for an honest review! This book is set to release on October 2, 2025.
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 /5
Recommendation: This a fun spicy romance read with plenty of tension and entertainment. If you’re looking for a guilty-pleasure that mixes heartfelt backstory with toe-curling steam, this one is it. If you like dramatic second chances you will also have a good time.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Emotional Damage: ☠️☠️☠️ /5
Originality : 🖊️🖊️ /5
Writing: 🥀🥀🥀/5
Likes: I loved the way the book started with flashes of Jack and Margot growing up together. It was sweet and grounding, making their chemistry later on even stronger. The spice in this story is definitely memorable, giving me the kind of reaction I wish I’d had back when Fifty Shades first came out. The yearning and tension between the two characters is there, and despite my frustrations (see below), I found myself invested in seeing how their relationship would play out. It was entertaining enough that I want to circle back and read book one and keep going with book three.
Dislikes: I connected with Margot’s Paris boss bitch persona, but outside of that I struggled to like her. She’s a spoiled brat and her pink Barbie-doll personality was grating. Jack wasn’t much better because even though the tension was great, he fucked up constantly. A lot of the book revolves around him trying to make things up to Margot “for the rest of her life,” and after a while it felt repetitive. Still, the drama and steam made it a worthwhile read.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is a brother's best friend, second chance romance. It is the story of Jack and Margot. Jacks owns a club. A very specific club. But he does have a heart of gold and past. Margot is a CEO of an intimate clothing brand. They have known each other and been around on another since they were kids. I guess we could say that he is part of her family. He is after all her brother's best friend. These two have a huge attraction for each other but they also have the forbidden element to them because of her brother. Their past though is not all rainbow and sunshine. At one point Jack really broke her heart into a million pieces. I loved that we got flashback moments in their past and really got to know what has happened so well. It really added to the book. Now though due to his business and her's they are intertwined and finally see each other other again. Only now Dom has the added element of his club and being a masked Dom. To say their reunion is explosive might just be a understatement. This book is smoking hot at times and will put you through so many emotions at others. I loved the connection these two had. I loved that we also got to see the Dom in him show his heart and he wasn't afraid to do it when it came to Margot. Margot is as emotional at times but she has the depth to her that makes her so strong and the girl is certainly not afraid to put her heart on the line. This is a great book that you do not want to miss.
I truly do not know how to fully put into words how much I loved this book! It will be in my Top 10 list for 2025! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Masked Deception by TK is book 2 in the Sinclair Affair series. I thought I loved the first one. This one, no words! It’s the perfect story: brother’s best friend/forbidden romance, age gap, second chance at love, with a gorgeous masked man in a s$x club and a fierce FMC. So much emotion, angst, passion, scenes that will burn your Kindle, love, healing, I could go on. It was everything!
Margot and Jack. I can’t tell you how much I loved these two. I loved how this story followed them at different ages as they grew up so we can truly see and feel their true bond and love grow. I loved all the text messages between them, I laughed so much. The emotions of these two, from elation to the pure emotional raw pain as they come together and fall apart. The slow burn, the angst between these two. The passion, OMG, HOTTTT isn't a good enough word! The s$x club scenes with her “masked man”, holy hell! ❤️🔥
This book had every feel possible. I cried, I laughed, I yelled, I felt their pain, their heat and just the raw emotion. The vulnerability of these two and especially to see a grown man come to his knees and the many tears he shed, priceless. And Epilogue 2-when she reads the words he wrote her-Ughhhhhhh-SO GOOD! There aren't a lot of books you read where when you're done, you just can't stop thinking about them. This will always be one of them.
“Just you? Margot, there is no just you. It’s all you. Everything has always, only ever been you.”
Book 3 is next with Henry and ? And then 2 more books after. YOU MUST GO READ THIS BOOK!!!!

"Just you ? Margot, there is no just you. It's all you. Everything has always, only ever been you."
Jack and Margot. I don’t know how to describe them with words. How this story followed them with their different ages and could see their love and true bond growing. I really laughed hard while reading this book and loved their text messages. The way they come together and fall apart. Their raw emotions and pain. And the s€x club scenes with her masked man so HOT 🥵.
This book will break you in a beautiful way. You’ll feel every emotions. While reading I laughed, cried, screamed, felt their pain, their love for each other. Jack a man who wasn’t ashamed to get on his knees for Margot and cried for her. It’s so beautiful to see that he would do anything for her. And that epilogue where she read what he wrote for her I’m just in love with it. I thought first book is my favourite but oh boy how wrong I was. After reading about Jack and Margot idk I’ll be able to choose others as favourites from this series.
Next book is about Henry and who ? I’m so excited for 3rd one. About you guys should read this book ABSOLUTELY 💯.

Having read book no. 1, Redeemed in Crimson, I already knew that TK Drake can write, and the characters are hot, but Margot and Jack are hoooooot.
Jack and Margot have known each other for years. Margot has known since forever that Jack is it for her, he's going to be the one to marry her. Masked in Deception follows them over a span of years; as they grow and change as people, so too does their relationship... because this is their second chance.
Now I've already mentioned that they're hot - Jack owns a sex club and together they are spicy. But beyond that, be prepared for the emotions, the angst, and the deep love they have for one another. It's going to run the gamut, yet it is so absolutely satisfying to read. We can't forget the banter either! You'll be laughing right after you're yelling at Margot and Jack.
And while I've mentioned book no. 1, Redeemed in Crimson, Masked in Deception is a standalone. You won't be lost without having read Redeemed in Crimson. I do recommend reading it though because Sloane and Ledger have a wonderful story that's also superbly spicy!

Thank you to the author and The Author Agency for the gifted copy!
Masked in Deception is book two in the Sinclair Affairs series and is the story of Jack and Margot. This is a second chance, brother's best friend, BDSM romance.
Jack has been in Margot's life since she was a baby and he has always been the Prince Charming in her life story. As they grow up, innocent friendship turns into so much more and to force Margot to follow her dreams in Paris, Jack breaks her heart and sends her away. Two years later, Margot is back and unhappy to see Jack. One night in a kink club Margot meets a masked man and while she has no idea who he is, the man behind the mask is Jack and he will not let Margot go again so easily.
The polar opposite sides of Jack were such an interesting dynamic and was very well written. The spice was phenomenal and helped weave the love story together in an authentic way. Jack was able to be vulnerable and was not afraid to grovel and beg Margot for forgiveness for letting her go. This was such a well written story that showed their love for one another and how they were able to overcome the past hurts and build something beautiful together. If you are looking for a story that will give you all the feels along with spice and moments of such sweetness you will be grinning, this is the book for you.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Masked in Deception is book two in the Sinclair Affairs series by T.K Drake. It’s a brother’s best friend, childhood friends to lovers, second chance, masked MMC, BDSM romance!
Margot and Jack have been inseparable since Margot was a baby, he’s always been her Prince Charming, her forever. Only when they finally get together as adults Jack sends her away hoping she’ll live out her dreams in Paris.
A couple of years later and Margot is back, Jack has never stopped loving her, but Margot isn’t as pleased to see him.
One night in a sex club with a masked man changes everything for Margot, and Jack!
I think this book is possibly spicer than the first one, which I very much enjoyed! I loved Margot and Jack’s story. Yes Jack makes some questionable decisions, but he would burn the world down for Margot. BDSM Jack was so hot but Prince Charming Jack was *chefs kiss*. We get to see a bit more of the rest of the Sinclair family this time and see what they get up to and this book definitely plants some seeds for book three.
I think so far this book is my favourite in the series!
This story of Jack and Margot is so heartwarming and has all the feels. Jack grew up living with Margot and her two brothers after his mother passed away. Jack is 7 years older than Margot, but has always had this feeling of I am going to protect her since she was a baby and held her for the very first time. Jack was Margot's Jackie and she loved him but not like the big brother/best friend way and he didn't know it.
After one night together and finding out she has this amazing opportunity in Paris, Jack makes a decision for both of them that changes everything. She goes to Paris and he is left in the states to start his club in New York, but he isn't the same. A few years later, now they work together so her new line can be shown off at his club. It's his opportunity to win her back. But he knows it is going to be a long shot. Does he do it honestly? What does he find out a long the way?
I didn't read book 1 and I was good to read book 2 with no issues. I loved the back and forth with this book. You could feel the passion and the angst between Jack and Margot.
I was hooked on this story from the moment I started reading it. The agonies of Jack Carter are crude and pitiful--you can sense the burden of the errors he has made and despair that falls on him as he thinks he has lost his love life. The tension between the two can never go unnoticed when Margot returns to his life. She is fierce, goal-oriented, and will not allow herself to be heartbroken once more, but the passion between them smolders on each page.
The best part, though, is their second-chance romance, which is not easy and doesn't have a sugarcoating. The urge and the drive of love and resentment were so tangible, and when the secrets began to unfold, I was preparing myself to hit. It had the advantage of the villain vs. Prince Charming angle, which was something I wasn't expecting, and it made the story shine in the most positive light.
This book delivers on angst, fire-hot chemistry, and imperfect characters who are terribly human. It is both sloppy and heart-wrenching, yet memorable.

This book broke me in a beautiful way. I felt every emotion while reading this book. I laughed, I cried, I screamed and nearly threw my Kindle across the room.. I felt both their pain and their love for each other through the pages of the book. The raw emotion and pain from the pair of them broke me and I sobbed so much in places.
Please check your triggers before reading this book does cover some heavy topics. I really enjoyed everything about this book. The way they are always their for each other was beautiful.
I really enjoyed the first book but this one I was speechless when it finished and I can't stop thinking about this book. If I had time I would read it again and to experience it all over again. This book is definitely in my top 10 for 2025.
Brother’s best friend and BDSM wrapped into one sexy, amazing package—what more could I possibly ask for? I’ve been eagerly waiting for this book ever since finishing the first, and it did not disappoint in the slightest. The MMC completely stole the show for me. He’s everything I love in a romance hero—intense, commanding, and yet so magnetic that I couldn’t tear myself away. I’m officially obsessed, and he’s easily landed a spot in my top 5 favorite MMCs of all time. The story itself was captivating from the very first page to the very last. The chemistry, the heat, the emotional layers—it all came together perfectly. And that ending? Absolutely heartbreaking, but only because I never wanted the journey to end. This book is the kind I’ll come back to again and again. In fact, I already know I’ll be rereading it soon, just to experience all of those swoony, heart-pounding moments all over again. A definite must-read for fans of brother’s best friend and deliciously steamy romance.
Another super fun and super spicy read, from TK Drake! Oh my gosh, I loved Margot and Jack, I think I may have loved them more than Sloane and Ledger! This one was a completely different pace and different “explorations” from the first book, but I absolutely loved it. The love between them felt to special and fragile, and so sweet, but when Margot and Jack got to their spicy moments, holy fricken crap, it was AMAZING!! The exploration, the trust, was so much fun to read and so intense, I couldn’t stop reading. These authors have, once again, blown it out of the park with an amazing, spicy, yet sweet at times, romance! I love getting to experience things with these characters, that I probably otherwise would never have explored myself! I can’t wait to read about Henry, his story kept jumping out at me. That’s definitely who I see being the next Sinclair to read about, and I am so ready!!

Ugh just when I thought I had found my new book boyfriend when I first read Redeemed in Crimson , here comes Jack Carter shaking things up ! 🤭 I am absolutely obsessed with this story ! It has everything I love to read about. The spice in this book had me pausing for a moment because I forgot how to breathe 🥵. The love Jack has Margot is EVERYTHING. Him always calling her princess 🥹🥰. I hate to say it but I think Jack took Ledgers place 🫣. I started and finished this book all in ONE day ! I was hooked from the beginning.
I’ve been waiting for Margot and Jack’s story and it was so worth it. There’s something about second chance romances that always just hit a little differently for me, and this one had all the angst and longing I could ask for. I loved seeing Jack finally lay everything bare and prove that Margot has always been it for him. The way their friendship and history tangled into love felt so raw and inevitable. To be honest, Jack may have cried more than Margot.
The dom/sub dynamic in this book definitely added another layer, but it also gave me so many moments of tenderness and vulnerability that balanced it out perfectly. Plus, we got more glimpses of the Sinclair family which always makes me happy. I’m already desperate for Henry’s book, but for now I’ll just be sitting here thinking about Margot and Jack until book 3 drops in November.
This is the second book in this impressive series, and this is Jack and Margot’s story. Jack is Margot’s brothers’ best friend, and over the years they develop a strong friendships. Margot thought she has everything in her life she needed, until her heart was broken. Now Jack is the owner of a club, and Margot it the CEO of an intimate clothing line. This story is revealed by flitting between the past and the present. This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, tension, misunderstandings, collaborations, romance, second chances, challenges, healing, friends / lovers, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable, page tuner. I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.

Jack and Margot
They’ve had a strong connection but Jack broke her heart. She left for Paris. Now 2 years later, she is back with a bit of anger. We get the past and present story of their relationship. The story is easy to read with a good plot. Jack owns a spicy club that Margot visits on her return home. She is now the CEO of her own business. The chemistry between them is a little more complex than it was before. Margot’s crush is no longer that of a young girl. Jack took his role as protector and friend to the next level until he couldn’t. There is a bit of back and forth between them. Drama, family relationships, friendships all come into play as these two journey to a HEA.
Jack and Margot have grown up together, practically siblings. Margot has always seen Jack as her protector and prince- until he broke her heart trying to do the right thing. Now she’s back and all Jack wants to do is win her over again but Margot isn’t the same girl that left and she won’t give in that easily. Plus now she’s has a masked man ready to provide her with all she needs so she doesn’t need Jack, or does she?
Ohhhh how I loved this book! I was intrigued by these two since the last book and I’m so glad we finally get their story! I’m going to be controversial here but I don’t think what Jack did was that bad 😬🙈 yeah I would have been pissed at first but then I would have totally understood where he was coming from. But then if Margot had done the same we wouldn’t have had the book so 🤷🏻♀️🤣 also loved the glimpses of Ledger and Sloane’s life we’ve had! Can’t wait for book 3!!
This is book 2 in the Sinclair Affairs Series, and I absolutely loved it!!!
Margo and Jack grew up together and were like best friends. As they grew, Margo started having feelings for Jack, and I loved how the first 20% of the book was a look through the years as they grew up.
One night together and a note left that says Margo should go to Paris and live her life has broken her heart. While Jack thought he was being the bigger person, he quickly realized that he made the biggest mistake of his life. Fast Forward two years, and Margo has a thriving lingerie company, and Jack owns *ex club. Margo tries to stay away, but other forces keep throwing them together.
Both Margo and Jack decide to go to a different smex club and that's when the spice starts. Jack is her masked man!!!! What will she do when she finds out, and will she give Jack a second chance? I can't wait to see what's next.
Thank you to The Auhor Agency and T.K. Drake for this awesome book.
I LOVED the childhood friends to lovers to enemies to lovers. It was so beautifully done. Margot and jack just might be my favorite Sinclair couple!! I loved the elaborate history of the two. It really brought to life the first heartbreak of her leaving, and him enduring his mistake. This story had so much tension and yearning and EMOTION. I was rooting for Jack and Margot the whole time, but this was probably the realest depiction of the pain and heartbreak that deception caused. I knew she had to forgive him but dang...they didn't have to wreck me in the process. I can't wait for Henry's story next month.
Thank you T. K. Drake and the Author Agency for the eARC of this book!

This second book of the series focuses on Margot and Jack and their lifetime of connection, through childhood, teen years and into adulthood. Margot's love for Jack morphs from young crush to something deeper, but Jack is focused on being a friend, protector, then distant as wild oats are sewed in the company of Ledger...until...
Masked in Decption takes on a much more sensual tone than the first book and there is a lot of push and pull between the two MMCs as misunderstandings and miscommunication bring about rifts and hurt. I enjoyed many aspects of the book, and it is definitely more interestingly sensual. I did become frustrated somewhat by the estrangement and to and fro's that seemed to take up a lot of space alongside some silly behaviour, but, overall, a good read. I think Blanche would drive me nuts I have to say 😁💖💖💖💖
