I’m Coral Lake, and when I find a mysterious envelope of cash tucked under my doormat, I know one thing for certain—trouble has arrived on my doorstep. But I never imagined it would lead me straight into the middle of a magical conspiracy.

It doesn’t take long before a magic protester turns up dead under mysterious circumstances, pulling me into a web of secrets, lies, and more suspects than cups of coffee at my potion shop. Could it be the yoga enthusiast who vanishes in a puff of smoke? The clever woman determined not to fall for another magician’s tricks? Or the gruff man whose kind heart may be hiding dangerous secrets?

Meanwhile, my brother and his soulmate are hiding out in a cabin, knitting by the fire while a dark magical force stalks them. Which leaves me juggling suspects, spells, and way too much caffeine.

Thank goodness my sister’s resort is hosting a spa week. Because once I solve this mystery, I’ll need all the massages, facials, and magical mud baths I can get.

This was a cute cozy autumn mystery with quirky characters and some surprising twists. There is a lot going on in this book as far as crimes to be solved, but it was so worth the read.

Murder attempts to solve, friends and family in danger, quirky characters and entertaining situations that get you laughing out loud. This storyline sucks you in and does not let go, with plenty of twists and turns you do not see coming. Totally enjoyable and can not wait to read the next book. I am hooked.

A few mysteries to solve

Quite a few mysteries to be solved in this. A murder by ladder, falling rocks from the sky, then disintegrating into a pile of dirt, dandelion killer spells that explode, a group of steppers that only know each other online, and a vengeful cult. Crazy, right? I got a little lost with all that was going on, but I caught up and really enjoyed it!

Bewitching Murder is the second book in the Magic Brew Cozy Mystery series. I really enjoyed this entertaining paranormal cozy mystery and am looking forward to reading more books in the series.
