I never thought I'd belong anywhere. My life has been a blur of strange rooms, unfamiliar faces, and doors that closed too quickly. For years, I told myself I was fine with being alone - that it was easier not to need anyone.
But life has a way of proving you wrong.
Somewhere along the way, I found fragments of something real. Laughter. Trust. The kind of love that makes you believe in second chances. And now, as much as I try to keep my heart guarded, I can't shake the feeling that my story isn't over yet.
Because maybe... I was never as alone as I thought.
I’m honestly speechless. I can’t even begin to explain how beautiful this book was. And finally — some girl power!! Also, no spice for once !! I usually read mafia books where half of the time is spice, but this time it was a slow burn and I really enjoyed that!
Sabrina This girl always finds a way to shock me First being Diabola, then Morana en finally Indigo and Rekya all at the same time. This girl has serious talent and knows exactly what she wants. The only negative point for me is that near the end of the book she started to get a bit too emotional, and it felt like her subconscious just disappeared like where are you girl. I also felt like she lost some of her cold, steel-like personality towards the end.i didn’t love that, but it wasn’t a huge issue.
Her brothers -Dante -Matteo -Enzo -Leonardo -Luca -Carlos
I loved them. They are so protective, loyal and also really funny.
A question for the author: what’s in the basement?? Why can’t Sabrina go in there ???
At the beginning of the story I didn’t like him that much. I can’t fully explain why — something about him just didn’t click for me at first. But I had a feeling they would end up together anyway.
So everyone who knows wants some badass energy where the female character is strong and unbeatable, read this book !!!
The book had a good structure, and not a bad plot. It pulled at a range of emotions and in some places really made you laugh especially when it came to the little Dario. By far my second favourite character. First being Sabrina with her many personality’s and strength. But it also made you feel scared and worried in some places and feel for the characters and in suspense as to what will happen next. In some places the book was confusing and was a little like reading AI and was repetitive or hard to read. But was still not a bad read. The Author Isla J Wren has some amazing ideas and talent but still has some learning curves. But so does everyone. Despite its let downs it was still a good book that I would recommend. I cannot wait to see what she does next. It is a great first book in her journey. I will be exciting to see how the Author will grow and develop in her writing.
The story is very good the book actually had potential and I really love how the FMC is such a badass but there a lot of thing that didn’t make sense ! And I think it needs to be written differently again. I finished this book in two days I could not put it down because the story was simply too good. But the writing style wasn’t the best at all
You could see it when you’re reading a chapter you can see how that the same piece of information is mentioned several times in the chapter that it’s getting boring
And every time the FMC talked about her little brother Dario she would literally say the same few words every time about him
But overall this book was good I appreciate it I don’t really regret reading it at all it hooked me since page one
The story itself was fine, but there was no consistency. Sometimes things in the story didn't add up, like babies supposed to talk at 9 months (in what world?!) but also errors, such as her receiving something and then receiving it again on the same page from her other brother; these kinds of things happened really often, in addition to many grammar and spelling errors + typos.
I read this book at KU and assumed it was proofread, but that is not the case. Additionally, it was a very long story without real depth; I did manage to finish this book (with a lot of frustration).
I really enjoyed reading this. Sabrina’s story is a long and painful one, but once she learns who her family is she slowly starts to trust. I love how she opened up to everyone a little differently. Dario is definitely my favorite brother because why not. The ending I loved, finally getting to see what happens to the start of the next chapter of their lives.
Adapted from Wattpad makes sense. It's a decent book but didn't have any consistency in terms of how the characters were fleshed out. She discovers she's a mafia princess and they discover she's still alive and everyone just adjusts to it a little too easily. It's a little anti-climactic but it's still an enjoyable read.
I remember when this book was on wattpad and I loved it there and I love it here with it's additions. This book is inspiring for me because it reminds me that no matter what happens you fight for what you want, what you protect and cherish.
I'm a sucker for a strong FMC and watching Sabrina grow through her trauma was great. The story has potential but the plot jumps a bit so you're having to backtrack to try to make sense of it. Also, the formatting is way off.
Tbh I found this really boring. There’s too much going on and not enough story line. Also the multiple povs are really hard to follow and low key boring.
The story was good, but the writing felt rushed and repetitive at times. Could've easily be a trilogy, to build on the characters. Overall, I enjoyed, easy to read, finished it in 6 hrs.
