Capturing His Dragon: A Dark Sci-Fi Alien Romance

Rate this book
She isn’t what she seems…

Standing in my spaceship’s brig, she’s a vision of fire—hair the color of a blood-lit sunset, skin patterns shimmering with edges of molten gold. Breathtaking.

But she’s also a stowaway—a shapeshifting dragon who infiltrated my spaceship, slipped past my crew, and dared to think she could remain unseen.

Defiant. Untamed. A potential enemy spy I cannot ignore.

Yet she stirs every ruthless instinct I keep buried, igniting a hunger as dangerous as it is undeniable.

And soon, she’ll learn that in my world, actions have consequences—consequences that are deeply bound together with desire…

I write galaxies ruled by dark dominance, desire, and the sting of surrender. The Alien Masters of A’Llure series features stand-alone romances in an interconnected world, with alien masters and feisty dragon heroines.

This book is exactly what I needed, an escape from reality. The second book in this series and I couldn't stop reading it. Being familiar with the tropes. I was sucked into A'Llure. A stoaway has infiltrated another spaceship. The ship is called the Urr'Har'Mal and it is Captain Bor'Raun's ship to be exact. The stowaway is brought to him for discipline. A consequence of boarding and stowing away. The captain, struggling with emotions he develops when he is near her, sways him to offer her a courting contract she can't refuse. The spaceship world build is incredibly real. The characters are vividly portrayed and endearing. This trilogy will have cameos from the first book as well , which I loved. This is when storyline takes off! This kinky page-turner is a fantastic sci-fi romance that will keep you on your toes and give you butterflies a lot, wink. Goose bumps from the discipline process too, lol.
One-click Today, I highly recommend this Bestselling book!

Five stars what a great story. Loved how the relationship developed, and how the worlds were described. She makes you want to learn to fly and be a drag'gon.

A bold, defiant stowaway upends Bor’Raun’s normally structured life. Her name is Marian but she’s what he calls a Deceiver, a shapeshifting dragon. She’s his perfect woman but is she a spy? Bor’Raun is conflicted because his head wars with his heart, especially when it comes to passion and desire. Marian is the submissive to his dominant. Can Bor’Raun realize he’s found his mate, or will he stay a bachelor forever?

Capturing His Dragon is an intense erotic science fiction romance I couldn’t put down. From the first page until the last, I was drawn to this couple, Bor’Raun and Marian. Both are intriguing characters with their own ideas on what it means to be submissive and dominant. The bdsm is sophisticatedly done while the romance was hotter than a volcano erupting. Bella Barwin creates a world where one species requires dominance in all facets of life, not just in the bedroom. Her world-building is extraordinary and had me reading late into the night. The characters are vibrant and colorful, even though the species are non-human. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Fans of Thea Harrison, Ruby Dixon and Sheryl Nantus will love Capturing His Dragon.

i just couldn’t get past how the A’Llurians don’t understand/respect/appreciate that the Drag’gon race doesn’t practice the same customs as them. it’s like they can’t comprehend how or why other species don’t immediately react the way people of their own race would…. like- duh, why would they when they know nothing about you or your way of life or the way you do things? idk it just felt manipulative and a bit narrow minded. i didn’t mind it as much in book 1 since the FMC Cassandra fought back pretty often and didn’t just take their shit lying down for the most part. but the FMC in this book already seems more submissive, which i don’t inherently mind, but in this scenario it just rubbed me the wrong way.

Book 2 of the Alien Masters of A'Llure series. Can be read as a standalone but for maximum enjoyment read the books in series order.

'She stirs every ruthless instinct I keep buried, igniting a hunger as dangerous as it is undeniable.
And soon, she’ll learn that in my world, desire and consequence are bound together…'

The characters were very complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.
