Declan takes a walk along the trails every morning to get ready for his day as a park ranger and one morning, a beautiful, naked woman falls from the sky to land at his feet. She is covered in strange symbols, with bones tied in her hair, and pentagrams tattooed on both palms. He immediately feels an irresistible connection to the naked woman and follows the ambulance to the hospital and stays with her for days until she regains consciousness.

The naked woman reveals that she doesn’t have a name so she is called Angel. Angel has no memory of her life before she was 5 years old. She has been isolated in a compound with her only human contact being The Grandmother, the elderly cult leader who was preparing her with drugs and ritualistic torture to be The Gift to Satan. The drugs created an alternate plane for her where her demon lover, Asmodeus, taught her all she needed to know about lust and pleasing a man. When she failed again to be accepted by Satan as The Gift, The Grandmother tossed her off the cliffs, where she landed at Declan’s feet.

If you are confused right now, you are not alone. For me, Fallen Angel was long stretches of boredom, sprinkled liberally with confusion and sex scenes that made me uncomfortable. Declan takes Angel home with him since she has no one else but even while she was in the hospital, she wants to have sex with him. Declan is her first human contact other than The Grandmother and she wants to “gift” herself to him. She is so incredibly innocent about all things except sexual pleasure, I didn’t feel that she had the mental competency to make a healthy decision about anything as serious as a sexual relationship.

After they get to his home, she starts to learn about average life, what a television is, eating in a restaurant, etc. as she continues to throw herself at Declan. And continues to have sex with Asmodeus on the alternate plane as she tries to decide if he is real or a figment of her imagination. Though the psychiatrist in the book repeatedly says she isn’t a child and discusses how mature she is, I didn’t feel it and she came across very child-like to me, which made any of the scenes with sexual content very uncomfortable. This is a conversation that happens after she sneaks into the hero’s bed for the second time (he rejected her the first time) and preforms oral sex on him while he is sleeping.

“Angel. What’s going on? What are you doing here?”

“I’m here to make you happy. To show you there is no reason to deny your desires. Or Mine. Have I not made you happy? Your body is happy. But I still need you, Declan. I need you to touch me.”

“Jesus, Angel. I can’t believe this.”

“I’m real. I’m a woman, Declan, not a child. And I want you.”

This is the standard dialogue between Declan and Angel. I never got a real sense of who she was other than someone who needed to give herself to the hero. I couldn’t relate to Declan, either. All I knew was he has some unexplainable connection to Angel from the beginning, he was angry with his father for choosing to respect his mother’s wishes when she was dying of cancer 10 years ago, and he was bitter that his father had found someone new. That’s basically the whole story.

I had to question if the love she felt for Declan was real or if it was just because he was the one who found her. She loved The Grandmother, who kidnapped and abused her. She loved Asmodeus, her demon lover who was not real. And she loved Declan, the man that found her and introduced her to the real world. Many times, Declan refers to Angel as “my baby” and “my beautiful girl” and, ultimately, that was my problem with Fallen Angel. She was a girl, not a woman who could enter into a healthy romantic relationship and make me believe in it.

Angeline's

4.5 Stars review posted on Guilty Pleasures

Fallen Angel by Eden Bradley is a story unlike anything I have ever read before. Be warned, there is subject matter that may make you uncomfortable. But don’t let that keep you away from a wonderful book. Ms. Bradley’s writing style flows eloquently, telling a great story.

Fallen Angel is primarily about Angel’s journey in discovering the real world and her life with Declan, after she had been held in captivity for 16 years in a satanic cult. The bits and pieces of her life within the cult are important to the story. Necessary, yes, but they did not overrun the love we see between Angel and Declan. Angel’s innocence and wisdom are clearly shown. I found myself in awe of her more than once. Protecting Angel, a stranger, became Declan’s mission and he does admirably.

There were times in the first few chapters that I didn’t understand what was happening. At the same time, I could not stop reading. I believe this is because I had my guard up too high and needed to relax into the story. Once I did that and continued reading on; everything fell into place.

We see Declan and Angel’s friendship grow. They help each other reconcile their pasts. And then they finally make love. It was smokin’! I don’t mean just a super-hot sex scene. It was a super-hot LOVE scene. Beautiful and steamy all at the same time. Every time they made love, I could feel the pureness, the love, not just the carnal need. I’m not sure I have ever felt this strong of love in a love scene before. It made my heart very happy. Kudos, Ms. Bradley. Fantastic!

Both Declan and Angel were broken. But together they healed and thrived. Fallen Angel is a wonderful story that shows that love and understanding can win, even in the most dire of circumstances

I must say I spent a good part of the book thinking that Angel MUST have had a lobotomy while she was with 'The Grandmother'. She was just so, let's be nice and say 'naive' (slow and sluty are really more accurate) I was uncomfortable through most of the book. When I wasn't uncomfortable I was bored and confused. She wants Dec, enough to sneak into his bed while he's asleep, but still has sex with the demon??? Ruth, the therapist, tells Dec about "Pure souls. They can’t be corrupted. No matter what happens to them, they remain virtually untouched. It’s my belief that Angel is one of these people.” I'm sorry but Angel may be a LOT if things but 'untouched' sure isn't one of them...she's constantly touching herself! In the hospital just woke up from, basically, a four day coma, hey I know, touch yourself! Blah. Final nail in the coffin for me was when the bad guys are caught and she gets all "To forgive is divine". Forgiveness is nice and all but really? After all that happened you aren't that interested in meeting your real family and you're bothered that your torturers will be punished. REALLY?!?

Eden Bradley is a new to me author and this story traveled a path so unexpected, I was frightened and delighted all at the same time.

The MCs, Declan and 'Angel', are broken and damaged, but in completely different ways. Unfortunately, Declan's is more self imposed because of anger and bitterness, but Angel was forced to endure 16 years of torturous confinement. A seemingly innocent walk along the beach, a daily ritual for Declan, and Angel literally falls at his feet....the mystery begins.

While I was intrigued, the story unfolded a bit slowly for me, but the characters were complex and complicated and I believed in their struggles. I was completely amazed with the way Bradley, through Angel's eyes, made me believe in the innocence of love. It was as though experiencing it through the eyes of a child, unconditional and without reservation. It's hard to imagine anyone could survive her ordeal much less come away from it so emotionally enlightened.

My first read by this author, but certainly not my last.

I was asked to review this book by my girl Dawn of http://daydrmzzz.blogspot.com and of course I said yes I hadn't read Eden before but I'd met her at the Romantic Times Book Convention as she's a darling. I am thrilled to get my hands on books before they hit the shelves! I read Fallen Angel last night- in one sitting. This book is not one I would have picked up on my own... I mostly read paranormal romance and urban fantasy... I haven't read contemporary romance very much lately, let alone contemporary erotic romance books :p I would have missed out on a beautiful story.

So, first off, the cover is very beautiful, but not very evocative of the story. To me the cover looks like a Fiction Romance (the kind with a sad ending) or maybe a chick lit. It does not say, extremely HOT, steamy, erotic, contemporary romance with heart and angst and a mystery that keeps you wondering for more than half the book. Also, I was given a heads up by Dawn, and in case you missed it because of the cover and the title Fallen Angel, this is NOT a paranormal, at all. I think if you know what genre of story you are getting that helps a lot. :)

I enjoyed this book. The writing is very sensuous and lyrical. The heroine, Angel, is near death when we meet her. She lands at Declan's feet! Poor Declan! He's had so much trauma and loss in his life that he has closed himself off and having this beautiful, damaged woman fall in front of him makes him determined to save her. Angel has a murky past and is extremely innocent of the world. She doesn't remember seeing a man before Declan. She compares him to the guys she sees in the hospital and still thinks he's the most attractive male! As the story progresses you discover how much she's been through and want to protect her yourself. I appreciated that Eden didn't let Angel be without choices. She gave her the power to make decisions and express herself. I watched as Angel healed physically from the trauma done to her body and heal emotionally by visiting her therapist. Because of her past she is very open to her own sexuality and sees sex as something beautiful and not taboo. Declan feels the attraction too but fights it because he feels a sense of guardianship at first. So the sexual tension burned the pages...*blush* I could have done without so many scenes of the main characters masturbating. When they finally do get together the relationship has had time to grow and there is so much heart with the heat. *sigh*

I liked Angel and though she's unfamiliar with the world I found her to be wise about people. I think she saw things with a fresh perspective and it was beautiful watching her relate to Declan and help him face old wounds and start to heal. Declan, is a delicious hero! Wounded and wanting to protect and give Angel everything in his power to make her safe and secure. Angel has to face personal demons and decide on the future SHE wants.

If you enjoy steamy contemporary romance with wounded characters who find healing together, give Fallen Angel a try.

If Goodread allowed halfsies I would give this 3.5 stars.

This book had me confused. Starting off with the beautiful naked woman that seems to fall off the sky (or was it a cliff) at the feet of the hero who was taking a walk along the beach with his dog. Declan has an instant connection with her (and yes I made myself hope that the connection wasn't just the fact that he was checking out the bloody and battered womans breasts).

Declan gets her to the hospital and stays with her through operations and recovery time. He's there for her when she wakes up not knowing much about the real world. Could she really be an angel or just that innocent to not even know how people live? But Declan is the support that she leans on to discover herself and how to face this new world.

All throughout the story she actually sees Asmodeus, the demon who had trained her in the art of seduction. Him and The Grandmother were responsible for raising her and were all she knew. But what is real and what isn't? Had she really been an angel and trained by a demon?

Declan is no stranger to issues himself. I was a bit disconnected from him actually and at times he was extremely aggravating. My main problem with him was actually his anger towards his father who many years after his mom passed away had now found another woman to make a life with. And Declan thought that was unacceptable to the point of almost not talking to his father.

Angel on the other hand was such a fragile character I'm not sure she was ready to be in a relationship, or at least it wouldn't be a very healthy one. I would've liked to see her more independent and finding her own two feet, even though she did.

There is quite a bit of sex in this book, some at even the oddest times and circumstances, because these two just couldn't keep their hands off each other.

The ending was a shocker! I couldn't have seen that coming at all and it gave a whole new meaning to the book.

Fallen Angel is not my favorite book by Ms. Bradley, it's certainly something different than what I'm used to seeing from her and certainly not what I expected.

Didn't think I would ever finish this book, but am happy to say that I did, and happy to say that it's over...really unusual for me to not like an Eden Bradley book, but I didn't care for this at all.

The concept was "different"; a man walking on the beach alone and all of a sudden the woman of his dreams literally falls out of the sky. The author talks about instant connections not only for the hero, but the heroine also. The only problem is, even as often as its mentioned in the book, I didn't feel that connection t all. At times, it felt forced; like "see these two people were made for each other." Didn't buy it all.

The sexual scenes were well written, as always, but again, not believable with all the so called "emotional connections".

There are tortured heroes that we love and feel for and want to save, but then there are tortured heroes that you feel like putting out of their misery; Declan is that guy for me. This guy is miserable and in reading about him, I was miserable!!

Sorry to say I didn't care for this at all. I still enjoy Eden's writing and will continue to read her books. Two stars ..

I feel like, for some simple reasons, I should not review or rate this book. But at the same time I have read it and despite the fact that I am biased, I think it's safe to say that I wouldn't have enjoyed it in any case. But wait, first .. I am biased because..

- I thought this would be PNR. It really isn't.
- the heroine was imo unrelatable and hardly likeable. She was more of a sit-com girlfriend. You know, the chick Barney dates this week. The girl you don't really care about anyway, but she's important for his character-development. Well, Angel was this chick.
- even though she fell flat, the story was about her.

But also.. the narrating didn't work for me, neither did the hero. I just did not enjoy this and I wish I had. Really do. :(

”My teacher. My lover. My enemy.”
Twisted. Mind trickery. Angels and demons. Drugs, hallucinations, visions, and lies. A puzzle.

I picked this novel fully expecting paranormal angels and romance of the fog and dreamy effect. Nope! THis is all the way contemporary. Angel is only in the name. Once I moved past my shock and tried to view it in new eyes, it was such a bizarre spin on a love story. The circumstances surrounding Angel were not only weird but not fully explained as the story progressed. It felt more or less as a rush to get to the romance scenes. While I wanted to like this one I felt that the ending left me incomplete and with far too many questions left unanswered.

*Thanks to the publishers for entrusting me with an honest review.

FALLEN ANGEL is simply breathtaking. From the very beginning, when Declan finds Angel broken on the beach, the tone of the book hovers between reality and paranormal reality. The psychology of the piece is extremely well done, and as Angel comes to terms with her past and reaches for her future, you find yourself rooting both for her and for Declan, who has a boatload of his own past to work through. A truly lovely and yes at times erotic story, made all the more wonderful by the truths that finally come out at the end. Well done, Ms. Bradley!

I can't believe I bothered to finish this book. It was truly terrible. Proof that people who don't write sci-fi/fantasy shouldn't try or at least it shouldn't be published. I frankly didn't care about the characters at all and the obstacle that happens in every romance novel was one fight and it was even that bad. The dialogue and writing was all stilted. Don't waste your time.

I'm sincerely confused by all the 4+ stars folks left for this book. I mean, this storyline...I can't even begin to put into words how dissatisfied I was when I finished the book. The potential was there - wounded young woman with no memory except 16 years of abuse (torture), a phantom demon lover (don't get me started on THAT one!) who appears in the young woman's dreams, a young man who is equally tortured (emotionally) by the losses in his life, needing to find who out she is, where her family is, finding the villains...all these plot points for the the author to explore and you're left with someone phoning the hero telling them that they know who she is and that the villains were found and arrested. WTH?? The blurb implied that this romance had a bit of a mystery with a paranormal twist - know ahead of time that there's no action, no demons or angels (it's all in her head), no suspense, no satisfying answers, no feeling of closure - it's just a terribly written erotic romance between two immature people. Give this one a hard pass if you're wondering if this is worth reading.

Fino a pagina 240.

Different in the most unique way from all the books I've read from Eden Bradley. I was sucked into the world Angel created and I myself didn't know what was real. Declan had to be more than a caretaker and become the strength and the man she needed even when he doubted his reality as well. But forgiveness and acceptance are two totally different things.

Memiliki potensial tapi yaudah, endingnya masuk akal tapi jatuhnya malah kek yaudah.

Horribly tormented and sheltered under the anger, resentment and guilt of past experiences, the hero lives in world completely void of regular human interactions. Until he finds a woman on the beach that changes his world. One minute he's alone with his dog and the next he hears a loud thump and sees a naked woman lying bleeding and broken on the sand. He immediately rushes to her aid and calls the ambulance, fearing she'll be dead before they can get to site. He doesn't understand why but his deep and fierce need to KNOW her, to touch her comes upon him like a tidal wave and he needs to have her live if only so he can know her. Days spent at her bed side in the hospital, waiting for her wake up and hoping she's given the chance after how seriously she's been injured. Cut up, broken legs and 2 strange holes on her should blades that look like wing slots, not to mention the pentagram tattoos on her palms all point to a serious life of abuse. When she opens her eyes, he feels complete for the first time in a very long time. The heroine awakens to pain. Briefly, she sees the face of a hansom man beside her and she feels compelled to him, but the darkness wins most times and she's sent back into the place of dreams-to her demon lover. This creature, this man has been her only friend, her teacher and the one she loved, who taught her love. She may be untouched but with him she learnt the ways to please a man and with the arrival of this stranger she knows her connection to her lover is changing. She knows he's angry about that but she also knows that she too is changing. Waking up next to the hero, she feels just as connected to him. She's taken home with him to the forest where he can care for her injuries while the police try to figure out what happened to her and who she is. She doesn't remember anything before the compound. Brought as a child, she lived in virtual seclusion from everyone but the old woman called The Grandmother and her demon lover. She knows nothing of this world she finds herself in or why she was chosen but she knows she spent all her life subjected to rituals and bleeding. This man who is so tortured knows her as she knows him. They are the same in so many ways but the major difference between them is her willingness to forgive. She tells him of her experiences with the emotions of both loving and hating a person and he tells her of his anger and resentment over his mothers death and his father's refusal to continue her treatment. The heroine helps the hero to see that all this time he has been running, too afraid to confront his grief and heal in order to move on. The hero helps the heroine find a place to be truly loved without expecting something in return.
This was a very odd book. First off, when researching to figure out if it was indeed a paranormal, the results were mixed and inconclusive. Someone listed it as a PNR while others denied this and pointed instead to a psychological thriller. I do believe the demon lover was real because the heroine believed he was real. He wasn't the result of drugs but rather a constant and vivid illusion in her head that signified the lust and the fucked up view of love she had for those around her. There was also the fact that the Grandmother organized satanic rituals and that the heroine was cut and thrown off a cliff because they wanted her to become an angel. Regardless of what conclusion the reader takes, at the end of the day this was a heavy and very disturbing book. It wasn't my cup of tea. First off, the fact that it's an erotic novel somehow makes the 'romance' between the hero and heroine cheap. It was so not about finding love but rather figuring out your one shit while fucking like rabbets at every opportunity. Secondly, the 'problems' the hero was facing should not have been that big of a deal. I felt like he was really dramatic to internalize all that childish anger for 10 years and behave like a teenager when he's 30 years old. I felt this way because of the heroine and her real problems and the horror she's experienced. This instead made her thankful for everything in her life and to make piece with what was done to her and move on with her life. It wasn't my usual type of book but I read it and I can't say that I regret it, which is better than I can say for most 1 star ratings.

Selesai,

3,7 of 5

Baca novel ini tuh jadi keingetan sama The Nyimph King nya Gena Showalter. (walaupun berbeda genre, pastinya) sama-sama menonjolkan cerita panas.

A sweet erotic tale of an angel, a demon, and a gorgeous wounded hero.

Declan is a wounded hero, not physically but it's as if he were. He's hurt in more ways than one. It all goes back to his mom's death, and a tragedy he blames himself for. As if that weren't enough, he's pissed off at his dad too, truth be told, he's pissed off at everyone that crosses his path, at life really. He's just not a happy guy... not until Angel stumbles upon him.

Angel is the sweetest girl anyone has ever met. Her BFF, if one could call it that, is a Demon-- ha, imagine that! No one knows where she comes from, but people wish they never find out. She's wounded in many more ways than one, and then some. Her wounds are not limited to physical wounds, but internal wounds as well. She's from this world, but is as if she's never even been part of it. No one knows where she comes from. It's like she magically appears out of nowhere, and that is where Declan determines to find out who she is, and ensure someone pays for what's been done to her.

Although the book falls within the erotica category, there is more to it than that. Oh don't take me wrong, there is lots of h.o.t, very good sex in it. Angel LOVES sex, and Declan, well he can't deny her. He tries, but what's a guy to do when he's got an Angel begging for it? Uh? Right, my thoughts exactly.

The romantic element, plus the mystery of Angel's dark past (as in pitch black), and whether her BFF is real (I thought was very interesting...) makes Fallen Angel an entertaining and thought provoking read.

Blurb:
Was she heaven-sent…or more heartbreak waiting to happen?

Haunted by a military mission that ended in personal tragedy, Declan Byrne still bears a soldier’s scars. As a park ranger on the secluded Mendocino coast, he guards his heart while standing ready for anything. Anything except a beautiful, ethereal woman with a mysterious past, falling from the cliffs to the rocks below.

Angel, as Declan decides to call her, has no memory of what happened. But as her body heals, disturbing dreams emerge. In Declan’s protective care, Angel feels safe to act on the undeniable passion between them, without the threats from old, unnameable demons. And, in time, she senses Declan needs her as desperately as she needs him. But when her past returns with a vengeance, Declan must decide just how much he’s willing to risk in order to keep the woman he loves safe.

My Review:

This book was incredibly different…very psychological and intense. I was never sure where the story was going, or as the reader, even where I wanted it to go. Both the main characters Declan and Angel are dealing with some heavy mental issues, which makes the book sometimes difficult to enjoy. The book definitely kept my attention, but I’m not sure how much of that was simply because of the bizarre circumstances….it was hard to look away…kind of like watching a car wreck.

Both Angel and Declan are characters with histories that are a bit of a mystery.

For Declan, he has horrible anger issues with his father, based back to circumstances surrounding his mother’s death. That story slowly comes out throughout the book as does the tragedy of his love for Abby. He and his father do not have a good relationship, but he’s putting that aside because his father is helping him trace Angel’s origins. It’s also his father’s girlfriend who is Angel’s therapist. They are both helping Angel, which makes it hard for him to hold onto his anger.

Angel is a complete mystery. She literally falls at Declan’s feet off the edge of a cliff, beaten and almost dead. But he finds himself entranced with her and completely protective of her. She’s an interesting character. There are no gray areas for her…only black and white. It seems like her life would have made it harder for her to be happy, but she simply accepts that her life has been what it is and accepts it completely.

Like I said, this was an interesting book. There are a LOT of psychological elements to it. Angel has had this horrible torturous life, but she’s a happy giving person. Declan has had a few bad things happen and has let that skew his attitude towards everything. There is a lot of introspection for both these characters and at a certain point, it simply felt like too much. As the reader, I wanted them both to stop questioning and analyzing every little thing. While this was not an ideal read for me, it was not a bad read. For me, it was simply not my style of book. If you are a person who enjoys psychological thrillers with a slightly erotic twist, you probably would enjoy this one. It’s written really well and the story is interwoven and reveals in a slow, methodical way. Not for me, but still a good book.

*I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for a review*

This book was not what I thought it would be at all. I read the blurb and thought it was a PNR when really it is a very human contemporary novel. I am not complaining because generally speaking I enjoyed this.

Fallen Angel takes is about a very tough subject, one that I never really thought I would see in erotic romance. Bradley, however, treats this subject with respect and I never once thought this book was done in bad taste. In fact it was very sweet and although there are some upsetting moments is doesn’t dwell on them. This book is more about moving on with your life after bad things happen, not about the bad thing itself.

Angel is a great character; she has been through so much but manages to be full of hope and love. I liked her so much because of this. Dec is carrying around a lot of anger but really he is soft and sweet. I liked the romance between them. In the beginning I wasn’t sure because feelings were growing so quickly, but I did come around. The sex scenes were really, really great...but (and this is a big but) before they get to the sex point there was a lot, and I mean A LOT of self-pleasure going on. It felt like someone was masturbating every two pages. I am all for personally exploration but in moderation. Seriously, find some self-control people!! I am quite honestly surprised they had any energy left to have sex with each other.

Despite the vigorous self-love I did enjoy this story it doesn’t set out to upset you, which given the subject matter it could have done. Instead it is a short and sweet romance that is hard to dislike.

This is a gripping story that had me flipping the pages as fast as I could read them. It's dark, gritty, intense and passionate. This is not a book that you will read and immediately know what's gonna happen or how it will end. Eden Bradley takes you on a twisted journey with these characters and leads you to places you never thought it'd go.

Declan Byrne is a broken man. He has been through some very trying times in his career and personal life with his father. He has isolated himself from everyone until the day a beautiful Angel falls at his feet. Once he sees her he feels a connection and she just might be the thing he needs.

Angel, a pure-innocent finds herself in a world she doesn't know; around people she doesn't know, but when she sees Declan she feels safe. She has been through hell and back but feels like he is her safety as well.

These two are a mess apart but the the issues they both have can be worked out together and they just might be able to rescue each other from more heartache and pain.

This is not your normal, sweet romance… Oh' no this is an Eden Bradley book, so be ready for strong erotic content that will curl your toes and keep you turning the page. Dark issues are addressed, they take you on a physical journey of two individuals. I very much enjoyed this journey, and would recommend it to those readers who want a book that isn't light & fluffy or predictable.

I haven’t ever really read erotic fiction before, so am not really sure what they would normally read like. I found the sex scenes a bit too much in this story, they seemed to be at it every second, or thinking about it (or she was with Asmodeus, doing the dirty) and to me this was too much, none of it seemed realistic. I also found the swearing a little too much. I also had issues with how they instantly fell in love (or felt such a strong connection anyway) you would think that someone who had been abused most of their life and not seeing many people, would be wary of anyone new, instead she woke up and immediately wanted sex with Declan and strove to make it her mission.
The story I found interesting, and probably would have enjoyed it had the romance and sex seemed more real. I enjoyed the physiological issues and trying to guess if it was in her mind or real, I enjoyed the mystery aspect too. Overall not something I’d normally read, and if this is anything to go by, will not be reading anymore erotic fiction.

Haunted by a military mission that ended in personal tragedy, Declan Byrne still bears a soldier's scars.
In Declan's protective care, Angel feels safe to act on the undeniable passion between them, without the threats from old, unnameable demons. And, in time, she senses Declan needs her as desperately as she needs him. But when her past returns with a vengeance, Declan must decide just how much he's willing to risk in order to keep the woman he loves safe. 4 STARS

Despite an intriguing, evocative first chapter, FALLEN ANGEL's mix of relentless sexuality and infantilized, cult victim creeped me out too much to continue. Angel's masturbatory interludes with Asmodeus were off putting, and even when her status as a victim began to become clear, anticipating any sort of sexual relationship between her and Declan was too disturbing for me to stomach. I was intrigued by the symbols and ceremony the precipitated her fall from the heavens, but not enough to want to read about the sexual deviant cult that seems to be responsible. I'd like to think Angel grows into her own agency, but I'm not going to read along with the "sexual healing" that takes her there.

I thought it was a good book missing key elements to make it great with that being said if you have some free time go for it if you like whatever that soup is called where you just throw stuff in then go for it.

I liked this book but I don't feel that everything was wrapped up by the end. I still have a lot of questions.
