Casey Einstein is a former nurse, mom of three, and lifelong wellness enthusiast who shares friendly, practical guides to help readers find peace in everyday life.
After years of juggling work, family, and all the “shoulds” that come with modern living, she realized how easy it is to lose ourselves in the rush. That realization inspired her to start writing — first with Retirement? Nailed It! and later with books like Cortisol Detox and Mindfulness For Anxiety Relief.

When not writing, you’ll find her walking her Labrador, savouring coffee on quiet mornings, exploring new places with a curious spirit and a love of travel, or reminding herself (like everyone else) to slow down and enjoy the small moments that make life meaningful.

Mindfulness For a Calmer Life

This is a great resource for people struggling with anxiety. I am a therapist and most of my clients struggle with anxiety and depression. I also struggle with these issues myself, and from personal experience, I can honestly say that mindfulness practice has helped more than anything else I have tried. The most difficult thing to let go of is our automatic response of giving in to the anxious thoughts, which also increases the depression. This book is full of techniques that can help change the automatic response of negativity to a much calmer, more positive one. This in turn, can truly change your life for the better. And, the more often you practice mindfulness techniques, the easier it becomes to respond with a better outcome.

Book Review: Mindfulness for Anxiety Relief: Calm Worry, Ease Stress, and Prevent Panic by Casey Einstein

Mindfulness for Anxiety Relief by Casey Einstein is a gentle yet powerful guide for anyone struggling with anxiety, stress, or panic. Combining compassion with science-based mindfulness techniques, this book offers not just theory but real, practical tools to help readers reclaim peace of mind and emotional balance.

Einstein’s approach is refreshingly human. Rather than offering quick fixes or empty affirmations, she walks the reader through understanding how anxiety works in the brain, why it feels so consuming, and—most importantly—how mindfulness can rewire our responses to stress. The tone is kind, encouraging, and accessible, making even complex neuroscience feel understandable and empowering.

Through easy-to-follow exercises like sensory grounding, box breathing, and mindful reflection, Einstein equips readers to manage anxiety in real time. The inclusion of “personalized calm plans” and daily mindfulness challenges turns theory into habit, allowing readers to gradually build resilience and self-trust.

What sets this book apart is its blend of scientific insight and emotional warmth. It doesn’t just tell readers to “be calm”—it shows them how to cultivate calm through awareness, self-compassion, and consistent practice. Whether you’re new to mindfulness or have tried it before, the techniques here feel both practical and deeply nurturing.

Mindfulness for the Busy Person

“Mindfulness for Anxiety Relief: Calm Worry, Ease Stress, and Prevent Panic (The Everyday Calm Series” by Casey Einstein is slightly different from other mindfulness books, but also incredibly similar at the same time. There were certain moments where the book was more in touch with reality such as some of the jokes that were mentioned for overthinking, but unfortunately, it fell short, as many of these books do when it comes to addressing how anxiety becomes a problem to begin with, and it’s not just stressful jobs. Right now, or currently, it’s losing a job, maybe a family member contracting, or coming down, with a major illness that affects everyone, being the person with a major illness, getting older, financial difficulties, political strife, etc., and all of that is contributing to high levels of anxiety. Yes, these techniques are great in theory, but in practice, they are much harder. How does a person keep calm in an extremely stressful and even dangerous situation or environment?
What about PTSD? I feel as though this book just covers the basics, but doesn’t cover situations that might be more traumatic or intense.

This was a great book, it is easy to read and follow, I loved it and learnt something new.
There are great chapters on the Science behind worry, Fight or Flight, Myths Debunked, Triggers, Impact on the body, Mindfulness, Neurological Transformation, A step by step guide to box breathing, Sensory grounding, building your Mindful toolkit, Daily rituals, even Handling Panic Attacks in the moment. There is so much more great and helpful information in this book to read and learn. Well done, I loved it.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
