Angel is book three in the Fallen Angel series by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine. These three books are a continuation of Viper and Halo’s romantic story. They need to be read in order. This is the last book of their story. While there is another book in the series, it deals with a different couple. If you know me, you know that by now, in this third book, I’ve become obsessed with these characters. I love them so much. This one might be the swooniest of the three books.

“Was this what it felt like to love someone? To share a connection so powerful it could devastate you while also making you feel more alive than you’d ever been.”

Halo and Viper at long last have admitted their feelings to each other and to the world. They are in love. With their brand new album, Corruption, getting ready to drop, this new reveal could go either way. The public will love them as a couple and buy the album. Or, they could turn against them. At the same time, Viper has finally had it with their toxic band manager, Brian, and he fires him. It was the best thing they’ve ever done. We get a new character in this book when they hire Levi Walker as their new manager who proves to be the best decision they have ever made.

The band is getting ready to embark on a huge world-wide tour. Halo’s life has changed so much. He’s barely had time to adjust to having money in his bank account and belonging to a band he has worshiped for years. But to actually have people love their music! The upcoming tour is going to be wilder than he could imagine. But the very best thing of all is being in love with Viper and sharing it all with him. At calling him boyfriend.

“He might’ve been mine, that was true. But it had never been clearer than in that moment that I was forever going to be his.”

I loved Halo and Viper in this one even more than the last one. I loved the effect they had on each other, the way they supported each other. I loved that cocky Viper had such a vulnerable side when it came to his angel. Stardom is a huge change to deal with when also, in a new relationship. There are new things to deal with every day but they hold tight to each other and support one another. And don’t forget how hot these two are together because yes, these two do heat up the pages.

As I said, I’m completely in love with these two. There is a fourth book in this series, Lust Hate Love which is Killian, the bass player’s book. It can be read as a stand alone. I see that Halo and Viper make appearances but it’s all about Killian. If you enjoy M/M Rock Star romance and want to get swept away in the world of Fallen Angel, I urge you to jump in to this series and meet the boys of this band. I hope you love them as much as I do.

“My Angel.”

This is the third book in the "Fallen Angel" series and it starts exactly where the previous book left us... with Viper and Halo declaring their love for one another in front of the entire world fcc37b1805a49c13a3f7d3d50b64ed47

declaration of love gif - Google zoeken

For me, this book felt like a really long epilogue with all the good feels. It was filled with steamy goodness and fluffy scenes. There wasn't really any angst in this one, at least not between the two of them.

Halo has to come clean with his family before the rest of the world informs them about their son's love life, and Viper will be forced to face the past and let go.

Other than that Halo and his Angel are extremely happy and they can't seem to keep their hands off one another for very long...which was a good thing for me 5d0ea20d51184ba1bb6249faf6f342ba

What had me most intrigued though was Killian's wandering eye... He just can't take his eyes off of "Fallen Angel's" new manager Levi. I can't wait for their story...I have been a huge Killian fan since the beginning !!! I hope he will be able to corrupt Levi into breaking his rules 9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659

If you are a fan of sweet and fluffy series with plenty of hot man on man action, then you should definitely give this series a try ;)

I read a review from a Goodreads friend of mine, Wendy, that described this book perfectly, saying "this book felt like a really long epilogue with all the good feels." That was exactly the feeling that I got from this book also. There wasn't really any drama or angst, instead we got to see even more super sweet moments from Viper and Halo. And what sane person can be mad at that?

Which is my way of saying I'm insane, because I was a little bored with it. This is clearly a case of, it's me not you, because it's my own preferences that had me feeling like this book wasn't completely necessary. It's like those .5 books in a series that are novella's for already established couples. I don't typically read them. Not that they're bad it's just that for me, I would rather move on to a new couple and a new story rather than revisit a couple I already saw get their HEA. And since that's exactly what this book felt like, just an additional epilogue for Viper and Halo, it didn't have me feeling super excited.

But I will say that I did enjoy the moments between Viper and Halo that had me smiling like a loon. And there were plenty of those in this book. Really, this entire trilogy was an adorable journey between these two and none of the books had a lot of drama. Which left a lot of room for some really good sexual tension that led to a super sweet romance. The trilogy as a whole is a definite recommend from me and any fan of MM needs to read it.

Read #6

That date 😍
The piano 🥰
The way Viper always hooks their ankles together 😍
All the little ways they show their love for each other 🥰

I honestly love Halo and Viper so much if that wasn't clear by now 😂😂

I think I can safely say that YES I would recommend books 1-3 in this series to anyone, especially if you like sexual tension, chemistry, rockstar romances and bi-awakenings. I like to pretend book 3.5 doesn't exist and book 4 is obviously Killian's story which I think I've only read twice, but honestly, Halo and Viper are the stand out stars of the entire Chicagoverse world created by Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank for me.

Wonderfully romantic and deliciously sexy, Angel was definitely my favourite of the first three books in this series, which follows the incendiary relationship between rock stars Halo and Viper.

After finally professing their feelings for one another and unexpectedly coming out as a couple to the watching world (at the end of book two), Halo and Viper quickly settle into a loving and supportive relationship, right as their new album is about to drop and their big tour is about to launch.

They perhaps don’t have the best timing, but you can’t put time restraints on true love. And thankfully, with the support of their always awesome band mates and with some damn good guidance from their new savvy manager, the guys get a handle on how to balance their personal and public lives, keeping in mind all the ways their relationship can potentially have a negative or positive impact on their careers.

There isn’t much angst in this one. Once Halo and Viper go all in, they go all in, prioritising themselves, their music, and their happiness above all the potentially toxic showbiz bullshit. This could have been riddled with unnecessary rock trope drama, but thankfully it didn’t go that route, for which I am eternally grateful.

Instead, we get to follow these guys as they grow stronger and more stable in their relationship. They work, they play, they meet parents and attend award shows — it was all just a day-in-the-life of a successful rock band and not particularly “eventful,” but it was a fun and sexy day-in-the-life so you won’t find me complaining.

I said in my last review (for Viper), that I wasn’t yet won over by Viper as a character. Sadly, this feeling still stands — although, I will admit I like him more now than I did then, so that’s progress! Viper’s love for Halo was intense, in a good way, and I liked how determined he was to prove himself once he freely admitted he was in love with Halo, but he was still a bit too.... assholish, to practically everyone else, that it bothered me to the point of distraction more than once.

I’ve put some thought into why it is that I never warmed to Viper’s character, general grumpiness aside, and I think, when all was said and done, the reason is surprisingly simple: I read Brooke Blaine’s A Little Bit like Desire first, which told the story of past front man Trent Knox, and so, here, whenever Viper went on an aggressive rampage about his hatred for Trent, for leaving the band, I couldn’t help but get angry on Trent’s behalf. It’s a strange reason indeed, to not like Viper, but what can I say, I’m loyal reader and hated every moment Viper talked shit about a character I liked well before I met him. It’s a first come, first served situation, even if it might seem unfair.

But as I said, this was my fave instalment in Viper and Halo’s three book story, and although I didn’t fall madly in love with both the characters equally, it was still a fun ride — one I look forward to continuing with Killian’s story in the future.

Reread #687545, Viper and Halo are still my ultimate favorite couple of all time.

“I don’t want to hurt you again.”
A hint of a smile turned up Viper’s lips.
“Then don’t ever fucking leave me.”
“Never.”
Viper lowered his head until his lips were on mine and whispered, “Never?”
I nodded, ran my hand down his neck to his chest, and laid my palm over his heart.
“Not ever.”

🫠

“I’ll never get tired of seeing this face looking at me. Especially the way you’re looking at me now.”
“How am I looking at you?” I asked, but with the way my heart felt close to bursting, I already knew the answer to that.
“With your heart in your eyes, Angel. With your heart in your beautiful eyes.”

🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠

I think my highlights speak for how much I adore this book. No book can reduce me to a puddle of happy tears like this book can. Viper and Halo are my ride or die couple and I will forever stick by that. This book is so romantic, passionate, swoonworthy, intimate, so many things… Their love has me by the throat. Viper and Halo literally own me.

He’s mine. Somehow this beautiful man had chosen me, and, miracle of all miracles, I’d chosen him back. Despite telling myself for years that I didn’t need anyone, I’d somehow fallen without warning for Halo. He’d hit me with the force of a speeding train, and now I was powerless to stop what had been inevitable since the first time I laid eyes on him.

“You’re better than good at this, Viper. I never imagined that someone could love me with such passion, such…intensity. You took every idea I had of love, and what it would be like for me, and replaced it with something I could never have even fathomed. How did you do that?”

The way they talk to each other and about each other….I can’t describe it. To me they are the definition of a perfect couple. This book has the most romantic and sinfully hot date scene I’ve ever read in my life. Whenever I feel like I need a smile, that scene is my go-to. As well as the scene where the boys go to the award show. Makes me melt every time.

***4.0 rating***

“That first time you left my bed, I lost my damn mind because I wasn’t nearly done with you. And every minute I spend with you confirms that reaction was the right one to have, because I’m never going to be done with you. You’re it for me. My sanctuary. My home. And I want to be that for you. I want my bed to be our bed. My home to be yours.”😭❤️

I first read the Fallen Angel series in spring 2021. It was my second MM series that I had read after reading Him by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy. Spring 2021, was when I got into MM romance and I have never looked back. When I first read the Fallen Angel series, I fell in love with Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine's writing, and I started to read other books that they had co-wrote together. Needless to say I was enamored by their writing and storytelling between two men. Fallen Angel, was all of that. It had interesting characters, sexy men, music, conflict and etc. Halo and Viper (the MCs) were passionate, vulnerable, and real. Their story didn't feel cheesy or OTT. From the first time we are introduced to Viper in the first book, it is clear that he is captivated by Halo. The same later turns out to be true for the lead vocalist singer/musician.

I often detest when authors make one character allergic to being in a monogamous relationship or a commitment-phobe but with Viper, Ella and Brooke did a fantastic job at showing the reader why he is the way he is. Viper is honest, at times crude, provocative and overtly sexual. He does not apologize for who he is and the reader appreciates him for it. You wouldn't have him any other way. Halo, is the opposite. He is sweet, humble, modest and a romantic. When he loves he loves wholeheartedly and that scared the shit out of Viper in the first and second book. When these two finally become official, it was everything I had hoped it would be. I loved who Viper was in a relationship. He was the sweetest, most protective, possessive, and loving he had ever been in the series, and one could tell why, Halo. Viper in love was my favorite part of this book. Aside from Logan and Tate (from the Temptation series), Halo and Viper are a second favorite, I wish I could say that there have been other characters since then by these authors that I have grown to love but that would be a lie, the writing quality and character development since 2019 by these authors (who I still have hopes for) have sadly been poor. I know they have a new book together and of course my dumbass is still gonna read it but even if it is not ideal to my expectations I know that Brooke and Ella have written some of my favorite MM couples and for that I will always be grateful.

Viper and Halo are a couple I will often come back to read about because I adore them and their passionate romance. I just wish the ending was done better for my faves, I do feel that it was rushed and sort of unfinished but eh cannot complain.

This is the third book in the Fallen Angel series and it brings us Halo and Viper's HEA.

I loved the previous books and this one wasn't an exception. It gives us more details about Halo/Angel and Viper's relationship now they are finally a couple in front of the whole world and not hiding any more.
Call me crazy but I loved Viper and for some reason I found him really interesting. He was extremely arrogant, full of himself, temperamental and pretty rude sometimes, well the actual bad boy with a sharp mind and tongue, a very bad attitude, but well he was a rock god. Moody doesn't even cover it.

Halo seemed pretty ... lost to me. Too nice, too cute. Too angel for my taste. Always blushing, never truly believing he's now part of a super famous band. Again, call me crazy but he didn't feel real to me. I mean, no matter how hard it may seem, he just had to get used to his new life AND being in a relationship with no other than Viper - the bad boy!

This story was really HOT!!! Well all previous books were, but this one was even more. On every level. Hotter and sweeter. I can't say we get angst, only a little insecurity from Viper (which was pretty odd).
I am not really a fan of sweeter than honey stories, but we really get a nice ending to this love story.

"Angel, if tonight was my last night here on earth, even heaven couldn't fucking top this."

I've read it in one sitting and I got really curious about Killian's own story that we'll get next. The epilogue got me so excited! What's best than breaking the rules?!

“He only looks like an angel,” Killian said. “He’s been properly corrupted since joining the band.”

I don't really know what to say about this book. I have to admit that even if I liked it, it was kind of unnecessary. Books 2 and 3 could be easily combined because the plot was quite stretched thin at the end and filled with too much sex.

But since I really enjoyed Viper and Halo together, I decided to round up the rating. And because there were still many great scenes in this book. The tour was awesome. I wish Fallen Angel would be a real band so I could see it. And the interview scene was great as well. I'm still laughing when I think about it. Also, Viper meeting Halo's parents was the best scene.

“Don’t worry, okay? They’re gonna love you.”
“They’re gonna think I corrupted you,” he muttered. “Forced you to join a rock band, sing filthy songs, and stay chained to my bed.”
“Well…I mean, you did.”

It was hilarious to see Viper being all nervous and fidgeting like some maiden LOL

A great portion of the book was about the deepening of their relationship. It was nice to see them as a couple and I liked some of the scenes. But I could do without all the cheesiness. I like sweet and romantic, too cheesy not so much.

“I need you, Angel.” His warm breath ghosted over my lips, and I opened my mouth to breathe him in.
“Then take me. I'm yours.”

description

He might’ve been mine, that was true. But it had never been clearer than in that moment that I was forever going to be his.

Another reason for rounding up was that we got to see glimpses of Killian and Levi. I can't wait for their book. The epilogue was one big mean teaser. I just hope that their story won't be so stretched. They both already know they want each other, so let's get it on in the next book.

He wanted to play by the rules, huh? Well, there was one thing I knew about rules: they were made to be broken.

If Viper wanted to see me fly, then I was going to fucking soar, because I knew when I fell back to earth, he’d be right there to catch me.

wowieee what a rideeee !! didn’t want to read this actually because i don’t like the sad feeling of finishing a series (i don’t want to miss them) but the cover is tempting and i just have to! XD overall, happy to say, i loved this. all of them books were so true to life, with a little good-feels flaws. Halo was the best! the plot moved perfectly along with the amazing introduction of characters. Viper was definitely steamy as hell i would go back just for the sex 🤭❤️‍🔥 and the end was everything! and this last one was swoon-worthy since the beginning. and Viper definitely step up a LOT in this. proud of him!

i have to say that this is not the type of series that i would re-read over and over again, or characters that i would die for, but happy to know these boys are obsessively so in love with each other. they are beautiful in their own way and i’m comfortably happy loving them this way <3

i will not continue the next book because i’m just here for Viper and Halo only LOL and in the future, i might read this series just for Halo again. he’s a favourite ;)

Ella and Brooke bring the first part of their Fallen Angel trilogy to a close with an explosive final which - while it doesn't answer all the questions - leaves Halo and Viper in a pretty sweet place and looking at a future together.

Angel has all the insane chemistry and volcanic hot sexy times readers should have come to expect with this pairing, but there's also a whole load of vulnerability and quite a bit of heart-searching before this couple settle into a state of contented bliss.

Tensions come from external sources, Halo and Viper are all in throughout this instalment, but pressures from the music business itself, their same-sex pairing in a rock band, a new manager and Viper finally meeting Halo's parents, all conspire to keep the narrative flowing.

I've really enjoyed this series, it's a whole load of sexy fun and an easy read and I'm looking forward now to seeing how Killian manages to get new band manager Levi to break his no sex with the client rule.

In the hands of this pair, I'm sure it's going to be another epic ride.

ANGEL

Book #3 starts right where we left our boys in VIPER.

They just had their little happy end at the album party - kissing and love declarations in front of EVERYBODY! LOL!

Then follow some very sexy times and some moments where we discuss the band and the upcoming tour and the new relationship and how the world will react to it. And then we have the Rolling Stone Cover! Phew! I want that framed on my wall!

Lots of happenings until we get to our final happily ever after.
And we love every second we get with out darlings!

Plus - we also might meet the person Killian will fall for in the next book! ♥

This was a very sexy and adorable and rockstarish finale for Viper and his angel. No unnecessary drama or misunderstandings. I loved it!

Can't wait to read Killian's book! (A - because Kill is amazing too. B - because we'll get to see more of our two darlings!!!)

Not really sure why I felt the need to read this one. I think I did more for my OCD, as I was interested in book 4 (Killian's book). But honestly after finishing this one I am not even sure I will bother.

I'll admit I have enjoyed most if not all of the Ella Frank books I have read, MF (back in the day) and of course of MM. My only compliant being her need to incessantly draw the series out.

I can tell a difference in the books she writes solo and the one's she writes with Brooke Blaine. And those I just don't care for. I didn't love the first two books in this series. I pretty much just skimmed this one. I found a lot of the writing cheesy.

I don't think I will be reading book 4 or anymore books from this duo.

“I don’t understand why you pretend to be such a hard-ass. Why you don’t date. There are millions of guys who’d die to be sitting where I’m sitting tonight if they had the chance.”
I glanced at Halo’s striking profile, and when the wind ruffled the hair around his face, I said, “I don’t want a million guys. I want the one who’s already here.”

A steaming cup of scrumptiousness is the perfect way to describe this tasty, three-part morsel from one of my favourite writing duos, and I found myself devouring all three like a woman possessed. From the electric charge of its love scenes, to its most tender moments, this is one of those love stories that consumes you to the point of obsession, taking over your whole life while you’re lost in it, and then leaving you in a happy haze that lingers long past the final page. Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine know how to turn up the heat, delivering scene after scene of intense sexual chemistry between the characters, all the while taking the reader on an utterly romantic, emotional journey as the protagonists explore their feelings for one another. Tantalising and delicious, these books are sure to satiate anyone’s appetite for a well-written, toe-curling erotic romance.

4.5 stars This one is for all those who are hungry for love and sexy romance.

The story Angel is the continuation of the Fallen Angel series Halo #1 and Viper #2 and it runs seamlessly over. With Angel #3 we can follow Halo and Viper’s relationship, both members of the band Fallen Angel.

Halo and Viper are going strong together. We see Viper as never before. Still with his filthy rude mouth and still possessive as hell, only something changed. It’s obvious he is madly in love and confused, he can’t believe his luck, that someone beautiful and talented as Angel could love him back.
Angel seems to be the only one with some influence on Viper, and all for the better.
When they have their steamy private moments and even go on a real date, it’s glorious to watch them together. Viper in love is something unique, to see him in this state is endearing.

The tour for the band is one big hit and with their new hot manager Levi, everything seems to run even smoother. When some nasty things happen, Viper loses his faith.

I loved this continuation, I loved Angel and his always easy-going attitude. I loved how Viper finds some peace in his soul. It was heartwarming to watch both men getting closer and closer, in a highly romantic way, the good kind.

There are some delicious encounters, full of passion and intense sensuality.
The vivid and vigorous way of writing made this story into an appealing read, just the way I like it!
We get a preview of book #4 and oh boy, Killian has eyes for a hot man!!

Music connects!

Was this what it felt like to love someone? To share a connection so powerful it could devastate you while also making you feel more alive than you’d ever been?
Viper has proclaimed his love for Halo in front of the entire world. Halo has to come out to his family and Viper has to learn what love actually is. This story feels like one big mushy love-fest. I really enjoyed it!

Angel concludes Halo and Viper story.

For some reason I found this one a bit boring, I preferred when the group was together than being alone with these two I even skimmed the sex scenes.

I am looking forward to getting to know Killian and Levi better and finding out what happens in Paris.

P.S.

I absolutely adored this final installment of Halo and Viper's story. (I don't know if we'll get more sometime down the road like with Logan and Tate and such, but for now this seems to be their HEA book, so)

This dealt with the aftermath of Viper and Halo basically declaring their relationship to the world. Was it entirely realistic? Nah, but I didn't mind. It doesn't always have to be and letting these two enjoy being together publicly and only having to deal with assholes about their relationship once in the whole book is fine with me - 0viously they will at other times as well, but mostly it's just overwhelming positivity about their relationship - and getting to see them happy and in love is a treat.

This book focuses mainly on these two dealing with being an out couple of a major band, and dealing with their first tour as Fallen Angel and being nominated for awards and everything. Their new band band was taking off in the previous two books, but they're back to being crazy famous, and Halo especially newly famous, in this one. Of course fans adore him.

They also get a new manager, Levi, after Viper fired the asshole Brian in the previous book, and he's much better for the band. And also, he and Killian obviously have something going on between them. (and the epilogue gives a tease of them that just made me want more - which we will get in Fallen Angel #4 woot woot!)

Once Viper gave into the love he felt for Halo, it was all systems go, as in he was in it all the way with Halo, and while they didn't have to deal with too much angst, they weathered the storm of their relationship being known together and the storm of fame as well. They got this.

So just expect mainly fluff, with these two being as hot together as ever, and as in love as ever. I love how these two can make the main couple have such amazing chemistry, they're always to keep my rapt attention to a couple they write together.

Two massive thumbs up from me. Highly recommend if you've been loving this series so far! <3

P.S. We get to see Trent in this finally, and things are dealt with for the most part about him leaving the band and everything.

3 world tour crowns

Let me preface this by saying, I love these two writers. I enjoy their books, their style of writing, and the their characters. Their last co-write was a top read of the year for me. And while I love the Fallen Angel men, Halo and Viper’s story ultimately fell flat for me.

The story lacked conflict, angst. There was nothing to keep me riveted to the page. I loved Halo and Viper. Their story is the epitome of romance, but these two have almost no trials to overcome. There is a blip during the whole series which is rectified almost immediately with little to no groveling or real talk. This series read the longest happily ever after. What was ultimately the most frustrating for me as a reader was I saw all these areas for potential conflict, and then nothing happened. It was explained away with a sentence or never addressed at all.

What makes this hard is that I LOVE THESE MEN! The Fallen Angel crew is fantastic. I enjoy their dynamic as a band. Seeing them joke with each other and support each other is wonderful, and readers can see they are a true family. Because of this, I am excited to read about the next member in the Fallen Angels and see how his story plays out. I just hope a little more oomph is put into this one.

While this series wasn’t my favorite, I would still recommend it to readers who don’t love a ton of angst or heavy conflicts. I’m clearly a glutton for angst and so this one missed the mark for me.

I'm totally smitten with these two... This was a sweet and adorable rock n roll HEA.

They are so perfect together, the way they look at each other, and just know, what they are feeling, what they need, is purrrfect!

I also adored the piano Viper gets for Halo... Heart-melting stuff... Seeing our grumpy extraordinaire being all romantic... How not to swoon all over the place.

What has drawn me more to this book, compared to other rockstars books, is that we get the part of the thrill of the live shows (the way it was described Halo's first show, wow, you feel the public craziness seeing him hump Viper's thigh🥵🔥🌋), the recording albuns, the business part, and the writing of the lyrics (god how I love this).

But.... Something bugged me after 3 books of intense, hotter than hell, lava-level heat sex scenes and commitment to each other... How tha hell are they still wearing a condom at the end of these books? It felt strange to me... It didn't make sense with all the intimacy they shared throughout the books.

Loved it and one more couple who will live rent free in my very occupied mind🖤

Mehh

I really liked the first two parts of the series, but I have to say, this one was unexpectedly disappointing.
Maybe I wasn’t in the right mindset to handle this type of story today. This one felt like full on fluff fest, I didn’t feel the chemistry between Halo & Viper anymore. And bad boy rockstar Viper was even more unrecognizable now he’s found himself in love with Halo.
And was it just me or what? The excessive sex scenes every other chapter, felt repetitive and overly cheesy, and found myself skimming those. Yes, that was a shocker for me too, because I skimmed more than half of the book 😒 even though I normally don’t have problems with sex scenes at all. As a matter of fact, I usually love those, especially if it is beneficial to the complete romantic storyline. But like I said, this felt a little too much for me.

It seems as though the authors will be continuing the series, but from Killian’s POV (Epilogue of this book, WTF?!). I can say that I won’t be reading the follow up books in the series though.

A Joyfully Jay review.

4.75 stars

This book opens with a style that I really enjoy as it picks up directly where the previous book ended. Viper has publicly admitted his feelings for Halo and has laid claim to the man that he never saw coming. The band is getting ready for their world tour and has taken over the music world. The guys thought that after Trent left TBD their music career was over, but Halo has brought so much to their world, especially to Viper. Given what Viper and Halo go through, with Halo never having been with a man before and Viper never wanting to have a relationship, this is a smooth story that evolves between the men. There is not much drama and little angst and this book adds to and deepens all areas of their relationship.

The guys are on fire together. They have serious chemistry and Viper, who can be crass and volatile, is so sweet on Halo. The way he reacts to Halo and loves Halo is so different from the Viper everyone knows and Viper is all the better for it. He’s in a relationship, which he thinks should scare him, but it doesn’t, and Halo has a boyfriend, and he thinks that should scare him, but it doesn’t. These guys get each other as they speak the same language in their careers and their love for music and that carries over into their love for each other.

"Viper made for a powerful drug, and it wasn't just his looks - it was the confident, cocky air about him."

Aaaand collective sigh in 3....2....1. Because who gets to fall in love with a couple of guys falling in love? Well, I mean obviously Ella and Brooke know what they are doing because I am absolutely head over heels in love with Viper and Halo, but guys!! I didn't want to close this book. The way their love story was written was an all consuming sexy read that I am so glad I got to read. It was delicious and sensual, but it was hot and sinful too.

I'm learning that not only are these ladies a dynamic duo (how cliché, right? HA!), but they can really turn up the heat and give me a great story to go with it. I loved my first series written by the both of them and look forward to more. Yes, yes...I'm fully aware that I have a lot of catching up to do with their stories, but it's so nice knowing that I am going to get a smoothly written, love-fest-inducing, heart melting read because their flow is easy and refreshing!! Absolutely flawless.

"Because even though I can't wait to travel and see all of these amazing countries with you, you are my amazing place."

We fall in love with the one that makes our hearts beat faster, the one that makes our palms sweat, the one that makes us do crazy things, but if it's not right in the eyes of some, it's an abomination. It makes no sense to me when people have a problem with love. Love is love is love. It affects us all the same. I love when an author(s) can bring to life a love that is boundless, one that can bring even the strongest of deniers to their knees. But when you see all that a love has to offer, watching that love surpass any and all boundaries thought possible, that makes for a worthy read. I love the idea of trusting in the love for who they are...not what they are. This love story embodied that theory, whole heartedly.

Out of the three, my favorite book has to be Viper...not gonna lie. It was the hottest book, but also the culmination of what was going on with Halo and Viper. Easily my favorite in the series. However, this book not only gave me their well deserved HEA, but it showed me everything that was going on and how they made it through all that they did. There was some kitschiness to it, but I really enjoyed the ease of this book. The angsty broodiness tamed a bit on Viper's end, but watching him settle into this relationship and actually trusting that it was truly meant to be was an absolute joy to read. I am seriously so in love with these guys.

I'm super sad that Halo and Viper's series is over, but knowing I have KILLIAN to look forward to next makes me smile. I am giddy with anticipation....

"You've given me something that I didn't even realize I was looking for."

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷This whole book was so fluffy and adorably sweet I felt like I could get diabetes with just reading it!😫😭 Halo and Viper were perfect for each other, and I loved that for them.😭 I just wish we also had that for ourselves though.😩😆

The whole series was really good nothing ground breaking, and it wasn't really something new, but it was still very fun and all the things I want in my romance books! It was sweet, hot, and I couldn't put it down! It had lovable main characters, and awesome supporting characters! I'm really glad I decided to read the series even though it was just on a whim because I definitley enjoyed witnessing Halo's and Viper's epic love story.😭

Ohh and the audiobook was AMAZING I could listen to Charlie David all day! (Which I technically did since I listened to the audiobook of Halo, Viper, and Angel back to back the whole day.🤣)

This is essentially a fluffy, extended epilogue but I loved it. There is little to no angst to be found and instead focuses on Viper and Halo's happiness in their new relationship. While some may not like that, I personally love when Ella Frank dedicates a whole book to her characters being in an established, happy relationship and watching them grow after everything they've been through. I love spending time with couples outside of the angsty build-up and after they've battled obstacles to be together. If you're the same way, you will love Angel as it's one big, happy love fest.

There are things that happen in their lives to drive the plot, such as the band's album release, Fallen Angel going on their first worldwide tour together, and Halo telling his family about Viper (which was so incredibly sweet I actually teared up). I absolutely adore how fiercely Viper loves Halo and how his 'Angel' has become his entire world. Viper is still his asshole self that he's always been but his character has grown so much due to Halo's influence. The way he strives to be a better person worthy of Halo's love, is extremely protective of him, and would move heaven and earth to take care of him are examples of his character development. It's such a drastic change from the Viper we met in book one. If you didn't like Viper before Angel, I would suggest to give this book a chance as it truly might change your mind.

As for Halo, I still adore him. It was great to see how he handled the stress and overwhelming intensity of fame, along with a sold-out worldwide tour with thousands of fans. He's a fantastic character and he and Viper are perfectly imperfect together.

The one complaint I have would have to be the "epilogue". While the pair does receive a HFN ending and will feature in upcoming books within the series, it was off-putting for their story to end at 90% and the epilogue to be . I'm excited to get Killian's story later in 2019 and hopefully the rest of the band's as well! Maybe even Imogen/Slade??

Series:

Book 3: Angel (Viper, Halo) → 4 Stars

I really enjoyed this book. The story is sexy and very hot. I'm sad this series has ended I luv Viper and Halo there are so good together. Halo calms down the fire in Viper the guy is crazy at times and when it comes to his Halo he's even worst. There both so good for each other Viper bring Halo out of he shell more even though he was never shy or quiet Viper gives Halo the confidence he carries off. This book is about life together and what it's like being a gay couple in a rock band. People don't alway see the good they look for the negatives. But they had the support of the people that meant the most and that's all that's matters.

I would highly recommend this book but I did find that the story missed that bit of drama. Don't get my wrong there is some I just wanted more. I m looking forward to more of this band. I luv all the characters and I'm hoping that there is goin to be of Imogen I seen something I really liked in this book so I'm really hoping that happens. I'm looking forward to Killian's book it sounds so good. Bring on more male hotness.

This series absolutely could have been achieved in 2 books. Number 3 is really an ultra long epilogue. Now that Viper is a sappy cinnamon roll I couldn’t tell the difference between their viewpoints and then his actions at the end of the book to keep up his bad boy persona just felt ridiculous.

The epilogue for this is actually a prologue for Killian’s book which I guess serves as a rather cheeky, possibly brilliant, marketing ploy because despite not loving this it still made me want to read Killian’s story.

Perfect ending for Viper and his Angel!! Can't lie, I totally cried at the end. I didn't even see the tears coming until they were falling and that my loves is the power of a good story.

If you thought that Viper and Halo's chemistry was on point when they were on stage in the previous two books, then you are not even prepared. When these two were on stage it was instant fire and pure sex. That was one of my favorite parts of this book, because we felt this build up coming and we thought we had seen the chemistry they have together, but this book is like a full-on collision of their intensity and it was perfection!!

Seeing Viper's softer side with Angel really took this series to a new level, I mean he is still Viper and he is an ass but with Halo he was almost a new person. Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine really showed us how one person can really change your life. I am so sad for their story to be over, but I know that with Killian's book next we haven't seen the last of these guys.

Side not, I 100% plan to read Shaw and Trent's book because I have a feeling that is going to be one hell of a sexy story.
