Absolute masterpiece. Started this years ago, and stuck till its end. I loved the pace, loved Seungho's character development. The art is absolutely gorgeous. I can't put into words how much I love this manhwa in its entirety. Their stories were so tragic, but I'm so happy that in the end they could finally live together in peace. Absolutely adore both Seungho and Na kyum. Planning to read the side stories too (which will come out... someday). This manga I believe will hold a special place in my heart.

If I were to be objective, yeah ig it's kinda stockholm syndrome, but idc, they're cute and the character development made it worth it. A rocky start but I'll excuse it. I liked it.

No puedo creer que ya haya terminado. Le tengo muchísimo cariño a Pintor Nocturno; cada capítulo y cada escena son especiales. La evolución que tuvieron los personajes y las dificultades que debieron superar para, al fin, ser libres y felices, me conmovieron profundamente. Esperaré con ansias los epílogos y las escenas extra, porque definitivamente no tengo suficiente de ellos. Los amo y siempre estarán en mi corazón.

All of the characters in this book are VERY complex and well written, and the relationship between Na-kyum and Seungho develops beautifully. I cried SO much when reading this last book, and I think that's just a testament to how masterfully byeonduck crafted this story.

Después de toda la esencia traumatizante que tiene que pasar Kyum, por fin encuentra la tranquilidad en la espera de su amado.

El desarrollo de Seungho fue lo mejor de la novela (además del estilo de dibujo :3 ) y es que desde un inicio su personaje está tan justificado con el amor que se hizo presente hasta ya avanzada la historia que provocó el disgusto a lo largo de la novela. Y es que desde el inicio está tan rodeado de personas que comparten su mismo privilegio que al intentar deshacer el lazo, este se encuentra en puras dificultades.

Es hasta el final cuando ambos protagonistas logran la paz y felicidad, rodeados de un lindo ambiente.

Este es el tomo final, y voy a hablar de toda la historia con spoiler.
A mi me encanta este manhwa. Lo leí a penas salió, y hoy, ya terminado, volví a releer los 131 capítulos. En verdad, la autora ha creado una historia increíble.
Me encanta los protagonistas, su romance y en especial su construcción de personaje, en especial Seungho. Al principio era un ser insoportable, egoísta, cruel pero al contarnos su pasado, de cómo su padre lo maltrataba tratando de "curar" su pasión por los hombres y lo termino llevando a la ruina, nos hace pensar de por qué es como es. Obviamente, no justifica sus acciones futuras, pero después de darse cuenta que por fin alguien lo quiere, que alguien quiere estar a su lado, conocerlo, y tenerlo como suyo, por fin siente que debe cambiar para hacer feliz a Na-Kyum, aunque tiene alzas y bajas. El personaje de Na-Kyum, el pintor nocturno, no tuvo un desarrollo de personaje tan wow, siento que fue creado especialmente para hacer que Seungho desarrolle su cambio.
En fin, cómo sufrí, llore, me alegre, me enamore de esta historia. Ese final, cuando Seungho lloro en el mar me mató, pero por suerte todo salió bien (aunque cómo sufrí).
El final, con el personaje In Hun demuestra que por más intenciones buenas que tengas para llegar a un cargo importante, no importa lo que quieras demostrar, al final siempre necesitaras contactos de personas no tan favorables, que pueden arruinarte.
Yo pensaba que tendría un final triste, pensé que Na-Kyum moriría ahogado porque, al ser una novela ambientada en la época Joseon y no estaba permitido los gays, pensé eso. Pero no, la autora nos dio un final feliz que me calentó el alma.
Ay una parte de mi que se pregunta qué paso con el ex amante de Seungho, el llorón que lo quería a toda costa, no supimos nada de él ni del asesino a sueldo después. Espero que se hayan escapado juntos.
Lean está historia, es muy buena.

I remember that when I first read this story (before its final season came out) I didn't like it, but since I'm curious by nature and three days ago I remembered I never finished it, I reread it. My final verdict is that I still don't like it, but at least now I liked it a little more than the first time. I liked the ending; it was a good conclusion for the characters and the story itself.

Seungho design is amazing and I think that's the strongest point of this manhwa, the protagonists, and also the antagonists of each season are great because they don't have a redemption arc (except Jihwa maybe?) they're bad and that's how it stays, I liked it.

Wow...... WOW

Started out kind of rough but it quickly found its personality and plotline. Amazing art, absolutely fantastic and unique style and beautiful to look at.
The story was so bittersweet, and always tugs at my heartstrings. Im also a sucker for period pieces.

I devoured the whole thing and counted the minutes till i got home and i could read more. Just WOW! So properly rated. This is a favorite of the community and i completely understand why. Deserves all the awards and praise. WOW!!!!

Okay, adoro il percorso fatto dai personaggi fin qui: Seungho è un pazzo furioso e mi intrattiene da matti per questo. Na-kyum è più un personaggio in cui ci dovrebbe immedesimare, ma non mi immedesimo mai in personaggi del genere, sorryyyyy! Non è la ragione per cui leggo. Perciò apprezzo il suo ruolo strumentale per mostrarci le sfaccettature di Seungho, e mi diverto molto per le cose che passa nelle sue mani 🤭
I disegni sono stupendi, gli occhi (e Seungho tutto) soprattutto, tanto che a volte mi sono fermata in certe pagine proprio per ammirarli.
E mo mi tocca aspettare i prossimi volumi 🥺

Không phải kiểu truyện seg toàn H để boost dopamine rẻ tiền đâu.
Cốt truyện hay đuyên lên được, cảm giác đọc liền tù tì gần 150 chap truyện liên tục trong 7,8 tiếng mà không chán, không dính reading slump, không ngấy nó cũng là cảm giác siêu peak với t luôn rồi í.

a story that started of as a bumpy ride with hints of stockholm syndrome, that through the volumes develops along with the characters - experiencing the themes of redemption and absence in such a delicate matter. i have reread this specific volume several times as it is so well written with the exquisite quotes.

honestly this made me feel a lot of things, but mostly severely stressed. every star I'm giving to this series is bc I was on the EDGE of my seat. I was GAGGED. I was HOOKED. this isn't a romance, but it is a love story. a good love story...well idk about that. but it was a hell of a story.
