Daisy Kitchen Set
It's time to bring a little Spring / Summer into your home with the crochet Daisy Kitchen Set. The set includes: 1 Daisy Trivet 10 inches square, 1 Doubled Daisy Potholder 8.5 inches square, and 1 Matching Dishcloth 10.5 inches square. The Daisy Kitchen Set was designed for my Mother's kitchen and given to her as a Valentine's Day gift. Where I live the Winters can be long and cold, and a little Spring / Summer is always welcome.
The Daisies are worked into the crochet as you go so there's no sewing after. The Trivet is designed to allow heat to disperse from the bottom of dish, not on to your table. Once you try this large, doubled potholder you'll want to fill your kitchen with them. And the matching dishcloth is a pleasure to use. All of this is made with just 4 balls of crochet cotton.
This pattern is Easy to Crochet, with several pictures to show you how.
Materials Required
* Yarn: I used Peaches & Cream, Worsted, 4 - ply, 2.5 oz balls - 1 White, 1 Sunshine, and 2 Forest Green. It's very important that you use 100% cotton for this set as the fiber must be able to withstand heat.
* Hook: I used Boye, an H / 8 - 5.00 MM, and an I / 9 - 5.50 MM
* Other: A scissors. And I use a darning needle to hide some ends.
