Officer Phillip Noyce a cocky upstate policeman murders an unarmed black boy a month vefore his highschool graduation. After a long media filled battle against one of the toughest lawyers in the state of NY, he beats the case. Whats new, right?
As part of his retraining, court sentences him to community service providing free overnight security to a museum of black history. His past led him into the museum but will our past let him out?
A very, very promising story idea but probably the worst written book I’ve ever read, including everything from grammar, spelling, and formatting to plot inconsistencies and far fetched character behaviors and dialogue. This book would have benefited greatly from an editor or at the very least a proofreader. Like it literally feels like the author finished the rough draft and hit publish. This story would have done numbers on creepypasta and is probably where it should have lived, where such writing conventions don’t matter as much. Really, reeeeeally wanted to like this :/
an amazing read from start to finish, truly. just when you think you plotted you last twist, here's yet another. I really love the subtle and not so subtle diversions from truth into fiction that leaves you questioning certain realities. where's my part two?!
This book was a black history lesson of all the atrocities that were put upon African Americans throughout the years. Although it was fiction, it was a good horror revenge story. Wish the book was longer and hope there will be more to come.
