His firefighter background adds both tension and depth, and the dual POV allows you to really understand the fears and desires driving both characters. I was kindly gifted this book by the author and it was a lovely palette cleanser from the Fantasy and Dark Romance that I read.
It's an insta love from the beginning which I don't normally like but enjoyed it and how the story panned out. I enjoyed the second half of this book with the action.
The book cover is stunning and the inside pages at the beginning.
Thank you for giving me the chance to review this book and look forward to the next two books that are coming out with the others stories!

WOW I can not believe how much I LOVED this story and these characters!
Ben and Lila are both such real people to me, I feel like I could actually see them in real life. Their relationship is so beautiful. Sometimes in romance books I get a bit frustrated that you barely ever get any time with the couple together but in this story we get to see them in their quiet moments and their love feels so real.
Lila is running from a really difficult past and Ben is looking to create distance from his over controlling parents. Their eyes meet at a farmers market and the sparks fly instantly.
He is a firefighter who is possessive and protective in the best way and she is so bubbly and positive despite her past that his nickname for her is sunshine.
I hear book two is on the way soon and I can not WAIT!
