This book was for sure savored, here I was thinking that book three would be the end of the road for Tessa and Neil! I am so glad that I was so wrong on this because I can’t get enough of Tessa and this realm.

What I loved about this book:
-Neil and Tessa having a break through.
-Tessa learning how to use her abilities.
-Tessa being able to save herself…mostly.

This book had me on edge from start to finish. What I loved was going through the motions and emotions with ALL the characters. Such a great series to get into.

Absolutely devoured this ARC and this is my honest opinion. The amount of stress this book caused me with how much happens from chapter to chapter is crazy! The cliffhangers from just a chapter-to-chapter standpoint are enough to make you keep saying, "Oh this chapter is only 15 minutes, I can read one more! *looks at clock* Well it's 1 am now..." Neil comin in hot and not disappointing by the end, FINALLY! Dude has issues from this psycho court. Tessa has more and more potential, which continues to confuse not only me, but the characters as well 🤣 Tessa is definitely shaping up to be a powerhouse and a badass. I cannot wait to see how their journey continues on this twisting path of crazy ♥️ If you haven't started this amazing series, do yourself a favor and do so! You'll love every character in this rag-tag team. Fae, mermaids, demons, cool mythical creatures, and an action-packed cliffhanging story, what's not to love!

Y'all. I'm loving this series, but these cliffhangers are going to be the end of me! I need to know what's going to happen next pronto!

On a more specific note, I loved seeing the character growth that Neil is going through and how their found family is growing! And some of these new characters (Diedre I'm looking at you) absolutely made me cackle! I can’t wait to see more of them! And! Our slow burn finally burns! Book 03 for the win!

I love how this series keeps going and these middle books don't feel like a middle book - they have obviously relevant plot points and don't just feel like a filler episode.

New magic! New creatures! New drama! When we say that the Hidden Courts series keeps getting better with each installment we are not over-exaggerating. LOL!
Tessa and Neil are back and if you thought things were ramping up before...you ain't seen nothin' yet! The skath are taking things to the next level! It's not bad enough that they are stealing magical creatures and stealing their magic, but they've added manipulation to the grand scheme of things. These creatures will do whatever it takes to destroy these kingdoms and that means that Tessa and Neil have to get stronger and become more resolute in their purpose.
The long anticipated sparks are finally flying in this installment! All I have to say is this...about time! I love a good slow-burn romance and this series is checking the boxes left, right and center! The push and pull has been driving me crazy so it's nice to see things coming to a head between these two. But of course, in their case, romance isn't that simple. Not when danger lies all around. It just adds to the drama and tension and I am eating it up with the worlds biggest spoon! LOL!

⭐⭐⭐⭐

We jumped right back in with Teasa, Neil and the gang exactly where book 2 left off. I was excited to learn more about the sirens and other creatures of the realm. I felt really drawn into the escape from the Court because of the description.

I think my favorite part was with Nerissa and the fact that everyone got to turn into mermaids/mermen/seahorses. I literally laughed out loud at picturing the complete disdain on Neil's face with a tail. I also loved how Tessa, Naomi, and Kali were able to adjust so quickly but Neil was so tightly flwpidn he could NOT adapt. It gave him more of a personable quality instead of super grump. I think it lent itself well to him accepting and acknowledging his feelings for Tessa, too. Which I'm finally glad they got into because my goodness I wanted to strangle them both haha

The forest scenes between them.....oooof 🌶️🌶️🌶️.

I cannot wait for book 4!

3.5 / 4 stars rounds up to a 4

I received an advance review copy at no cost, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This third book in the series follows Tessa and Neil as they head back out in the world to try and find the equines. Tessa continues to find out about herself which is cool to be a part of.

This time, the main plot is their quest to make allies of the merfolk while avoiding the skath (shadow demons) and sirens.

I do love that Neil’s silly reasons for avoiding his feelings for Tessa are crumbling quickly and we finally get the romance (1 scene) that we have been waiting for.

I struggled with this installment of the story because it seemed to follow a stoccato pattern of:
Escape
Get caught
Escape
Get caught
...

If you love action scenes, dive in. They’re great. If you want a bit more substance, I’m not sure its in this book.

I am definitely still here to see how their story ends, but overall I'm not sure how essential this book/quest was for them.

I am absolutely in love with this series. Have to read in order! The first 2 start off slow but after being left on a huge cliff this one dived right off into the deep end and continues to get deeper. If it isn’t one thing it’s another and damn is it good!

Heart in throat is how this book started, taking up immediately after the last book, I'm plunged back into a watery scenario. A very fierce and deadly one and boy was the first chapter vigorously ferocious! I swear, every "next" book in this series just gets better!

After barely making it out intact from the Merfae's attack, Tessa's mind is all over the place. Yes, she's finally finally being taught how to hone her magic, call upon it but the results are, ummm... unexpected. Plus, the whole Neil thing is doing her in, and the skath are getting bolder, and she promised to help the Merfae...yes, a whole lot of happenings! But hells if the author doesn't ratch it up a dozen notches! As Tessa and company move back and forth, through all the intense action, so do I, I'm engulfed by the read, as if Neil has erected a tunnel of fire around me and I can only follow, blindly, willingly, into all the danger with them! I did enjoy Tessa's fallibility, her stance to help everyone lands her in hot water time and again. Thankfully, she has Azrael, her Pegasus, who is unjudgemental, supportive and very, very protective. Not that it helps her in some instances...I love how the author "throws in" new characters that fit so perfectly, becoming part of Tessa's life, and mine. These cool characters are the greatest found family. I adore Kira and Naomi, add a Merfae and a dryad, and I'm in heaven.

Neil, frek, I want to shake him til his teeth rattle! His sense of duty, his sense of service, his sense of right, of the forbidden,is ingrained in him. He wants....but he can't, he's held back by his honour, a strict code of conduct. His entire life has been built around following orders, doing the right thing, until Tessa. She turns him into an internal blubbering mess and seeing him try, oh so hard, to resist, was understandable but soooo frustrating! The tension was so taut, a light breeze could have severed it. When he FINALLY saw the light, when he FINALLY realised what was important, and uttered these words, consequences be damned, “You are mine, m’eudail.” I melted. And forgave him. And I had butterflies in my tummy from their tender "encounter" so yummy too.

My goodness, the drama of this book! Intense, intense, intense. This fast paced read had me in the throws of despair, when the group is separated, when Tessa is herded, I thought, this is it! No way can she escape THIS! But...yep, the author turned the story inside out, adding torturous events, compelling my heart rate to leap dangerously. She takes it to another dimension, literally, another step of amazing action, fabulously fierce action, blowing me out of the water. Taking of water... I absolutely love Tessa's getting to grips with her magic, heck, I love the entire magic system of this series. I'm really enjoying this series, I'm really enjoying the characters, I'm really enjoying these worlds. I can't wait for the next book!

Court of Water and Dust is the third book in Grace's Hidden Courts of the Fae series. This a slow burn, urban fantasy romance featuring Tessa and Neil. This book picks up where the last left off; this series should be read in order.

While at the Fae Court, Tessa spends time learning more about her healing abilities and strengthening them under the guidance of one of the healers. When a siren attacks the court, Neil learns her name is Merlina and she is a merfae. Like her land counterparts, her tribe mates have had their kelpies stolen by the skáth. She has been tasked with finding Tessa and delivering a message that their king, King Theondor has requested an audience to discuss a temporary alliance. After delivering the message, she also hands over a chain with a conch shell and provides instructions to put the shell under water and call out for Nerissa, the reigning princess.

Tessa, Neil, Naomi and Kali, along with Azriel, Ezra and Sanji, leave the court while it is under skáth attack in order to find Nerissa and gain an alliance with the merfae. As always, the heroes encounter many dangers on their way. They eventually meet Nerissa and her kelpie, Storm. While the king is open to the alliance, plans quickly pivot when the heir apparent, Nerissa's brother Tristan, is kidnapped by the skáth. Accompanied by Nerissa and Storm, the heroes head out to try to rescue Tristan before he goes mad. While on route, Tessa and Azriel end up separated from the others. While vulnerable, the skáth grab them and bring Tessa to King Asmodeus. He has been wanting to meet her for some time and requires her assistance. As she is not open to assisting the enemy, she is tossed in a cell. Fortunately she makes a new friend, Dierdre the Dryad, who is quite familiar with the many underground tunnels where they are trapped. With Dierdre's help, they just must have a chance at escaping, or they could end up back in the torture room with a skáth who takes great pleasure in causing them bodily pain.

I loved meeting the new characters and discovering their unique abilities. I also enjoyed seeing Tessa continue to grow and learn more about her strengths. Her determination and her inner fortitude are impressive. She is not a demure, weak female who lets others fight for her. She doesn't hesitate to jump into the fray and she is kind, considerate and compassionate. I appreciated Neil finally waking up and recognizing his feelings for Tessa, even if he tried to quash them. He needs to toss out the rule book and live a little.

I'm eager for Court of Earth and Sky to be released as I can't wait to learn what is coming next!

The Quest Continues

This is the third book in the Hidden Courts of the Fae series, so if you haven't read books 1 and 2, go back and start there.

We again find ourselves following the journey of Tessa and Neil as they search for the missing equines. This book introduces the world of the merfae, who have issues with the skáth stealing their kelpies, which allow them to control the merfae during their siren phases.

While at Court, the skáth attack and Tessa, Neil, and their small group need to leave in order to continue their quest. Questions, about the Fae Court, arise as they travel. Is something going on that they aren’t aware of? Will the Court now acknowledge an issue with the skáth since they were attacked?

Tessa is learning more of her abilities as a healer, while slowly finding out about other ones she has. Neil continues to struggle with his role as a Guardian and his attraction to Tessa. Their interactions finally heat up in this book, although some are quite frustrating, to Tessa at least.

Neil is focused on protecting Tessa, but as in previous books, there are times when she is taken by the ever resourceful skáth, even though we don’t know the full reason why King Asmodeus wants her.

We are once again left on a cliffhanger right after we meet a new creature…a hippogriff…which is injured. What will happen in the next installment of this series? Have we found yet another equine species which may hold the key to sending the ever attacking skáth back to their confinement?

This book was another interesting read. Tessa is coming into her power slowly and I can only hope that as the potential Chosen One she will be able to help Neil and all the different people and species she is meeting along the way, not to mention her mother. Her generous heart has her always helping those she finds in need, even when Neil doesn’t feel the same. But he is starting to come around and see how species/people other than the Fae have just as much value in the world. Neil continues to be a bit of a conundrum for me. He’s this highly trained Guardian, yet he seems to be the one in need of help more often than Tessa at times. The skáth don’t seem to lose power as they fight, while the Fae do, which seems to be something the skáth depend on. I will say that I am very leery of Darian and his role in this series.

There was such strong character growth in this one for our MMC Neil. I liked that he was finally thinking for himself and allowing himself some happiness.
The new characters are great and the conversations and banter going on now is absolutely brilliant! The world building continues to grow between the two realms and across the ocean. this series is such an enjoyable and easy read, there's always a lot going on but there is never any big info dumps or long winded passages you need to skim read. There are so many characters to enjoy including humans and fae, pheonix's and pegusis, merpeople and kelpies, demons. Wild animals and all of them run alongside royals and commoners. lesser beings, two realms that exist alongside each other , oh, and on underwater kingdom!

And then finally our slow burn erupts! Book 3 for the win all around! I love how each book in this series has gone strong, with a great plot, intriguing sub plots, forboding twists and all the little breadcrumbs of what awaits us next.
Speaking of breadcrumbs- what is it with Tessa being able to break compulsion? Her potential as a bad @$$ is now sky high and continues to climb as she learns new skills along with learning how to utilise her powers. I am also very interested in what on earth the royals are up to after that comment by healer Jo! And does their chosen one have something to do with hurting their people or is all that smart and charm he emits actually a genuine side of his personality? I have to admit I do want and hope that he's a good guy because I kind of like him and he does seem to want to help/ do the right thing...

Final Thoughts:
This series is perfect for those who love danger and action but without the darkness and gore, it has high stakes on epic slow burn that makes the characters question themselves and the world around them, and some brilliant banter from the animal side kicks and the wonderfully detailed side characters.

This book is an absolute thrill ride! Seriously, get ready, because you're about to be pulled into a new world with some majorly high stakes. If you're into danger, high-intensity action, and a slow-burn romance that finally catches fire, you're going to love this.

The world of the fae gets so much bigger with the introduction of the Merfae kingdom and the terrifying skáth. The action never lets up as our heroes go up against these demonic enemies, who are using kelpies and merfae sirens as weapons. But even with all the chaos, the story always comes back to our main characters.

Beyond the romance, the characters are seriously amazing. The banter between Neil and his Ezra is completely on point, and it's also lovely to watch the relationship between Tessa and her Azriel grow. You'll see Neil go through some huge changes as he embraces his new life, and the other characters, especially Naomi, are so well-developed you'll be dying to know more about them. I'm already hooked on what happens with Naomi in the next book! Plus, the battles, big and small, are totally nail-biting, and it's awesome to watch Tessa's powers get stronger and stronger.

Watching Neil and Naomi learn more about other beings, like the "small folk," is fascinating. They start to realize these new species aren't as bad as they've been told their whole lives, which really challenges their long-held beliefs.

Just a heads-up: if you've read Heather's previous books, you know she loves a good cliffhanger. And let me tell you, this one is a doozy! You'll be desperate for the next book as soon as you turn the last page. Overall, this book is a must-read for anyone who loves epic fantasy with a strong romantic subplot and complex characters. It's a fantastic continuation of the series that will leave you wanting more.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

“Court of Water and Dust” arrives like a tidal wave of chaos, charm, and pure unfiltered fae mayhem—and yes, Heather D. Grace absolutely knew what she was doing when she left us dangling off that cliff like emotionally compromised lemurs.
This third installment is, in a word, delicious. Neil is proving to be more than his serious self, and watching him stumble, splash, and sass his way through the Merfae kingdom is nothing short of glorious. His growth hits that rare, sweet spot between heartfelt and hilarious. And certain new faces (Diedre, darling, take a bow) steal entire scenes just by existing. And then there’s the slow burn that finally decides to ignite. About time. Pass the popcorn.
The world expands beautifully here: underwater courts, dangerous skáth, kelpies with attitude problems—the stakes go up, the tension tightens, and the plot refuses to be the “middle book slump” victim. Instead, it sprints like it had five espressos and something to prove.
But let’s be clear: the real magic is the found family. The bonds deepen, the banter sharpens, and the emotional beats land with enviable precision. Neil and Ezra continue to be utterly chaotic perfection in their banter, while Tessa and Azriel add a layer of tender intensity that rounds out the storm. Naomi, meanwhile, is quietly (or loudly—your mileage may vary) stealing hearts and setting up what promises to be an excellent next chapter.
By the time you reach the final page, you’ll be clutching the book, whispering “no, no, no, absolutely not” at the cliffhanger—because it’s a dramatic masterpiece and frankly rude.
In short: if you love high-stakes fantasy, razor-sharp character work, and a romance that finally stops pretending it’s subtle, this book is your next obsession. Dive in. Just…bring emotional floaties.

I think it's a start to every review I leave for Heather d. Grace.... but OMG, the release! I am so excited for this book because it was where they FINALLY give in. The tension has been released and I AM SO HERE FOR IT!
I love everything about this 3rd book! It continues with the momentum from the pervious book right into the 3rd book doesn't end! It continues to build and gain for questions to the problems we are trying to solve. I have soooo many questions and theories but I will keep those to myself so I don't ruin it for anyone.
I love how Neil is continuing to grow past who he thought he was. I love seeing him finally come to the conclusion that Tessa is his and that it isn't all about being just her guardian, that he could be sooo much more. I am sure he will find a balance for each things he loves and care about. I am looking forward to see how much he continues to grow.
Tessa has grown into her "chosen one" status so much. I love seeing her still struggling with the different worlds but it doesn't get her down. She is there for it and ready to get herself out of trouble if need be. She is getting more confident in who she is and who she will become. I love seeing the additional water element and can't wait to see her gain the others because I feel like its coming...
The Leaths as still some of my favorite elements of this book! They add so much more to this book! I love seeing a different race (merfae) and seeing how they work with their versions of Leaths. I cannot wait to see what happens with the next books!
This series always keeps me on my toes and always leaving me hanging... I cannot wait for the next book! Totally recommend!!!

* Thank you again, Heather D. Grace & her team for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

WOW, what an adventure we just went on! THAT CLIFFHANGER! WHAT! “We have more company.” oh my gosh.

What I’m really appreciative of in this series, is each book picks up exactly where the book prior ended. We finish book two with healer Jo being attacked by a siren; book three brings us right back to that scene, and acts like time didn’t go by between books. It really helps keep the flow of the story without being like “uhh what happened again?”

For my slow burn lovers, this book is for you 😍 our sweet Tessa comes into more of her own magic and strength, while Neil finally realizes how amazing she is. The slow burn was worth it. 🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book really focused on found family, and our FMC and MMC are torn apart due to the scourge of the Skath. Tessa meets Diedre, a nymph who helps her escape the catacombs of the skath stronghold in the human realm, after meeting Asmodeus and learning of his plans to destroy the Fae, while Neil relies on Nerissa, our merfae who helped form an alliance with her father to find the missing Leaths stolen by the skath.

I am so excited to see what happens in book four. The group found the merfae’s missing kelpies, so their probationary truce should be secured. They’re being hunted in both realms by the skath, and have no idea the status of the Court after the attacks… I can’t wait to see our chosen one continue to defy the odds and show everyone who she is.

Court of Water and Dust is book #3 in the Hidden Courts of the Fae Series and Heather again has outdone herself with this book! I am know finding out Heather also loves a good cliffhanger 😩 I have been loving this series and there is so much going on all of the time. We start of where book two left off.

This book we get to meet the merfae and try and help then with the constant issues of the skath. (so sad about the merfae king's wife). We get to meet new characters who help along the way my favorite ones were Naomi who is a merfae and Deirdre who meets Tessa in prison.

Tessa is growing into her magic more and growing in confidence. She is becoming a force to be reconned with. Azriel is so funny and his and Tessa's banter is great!!! Azriel was a bit possessive this book over Tessa (you will see why later) and it was great.

Neil, Neil, Neil is finally getting it!!! He has started giving into his feelings for Tessa but it was touch and go there for a minute! WE FINALLY get some SPICE with Neil and Tessa thank to a push from his companion Ezra.

There are battles, romance, betrayal who doesn't love to read that!!! I can't wait for the next book to come out! I am looking forward to the next obstacle coming their way because I know their new found family they are creating will come out on to!

Thank you so much Heather for such a great book! I can't wait to continue this series with you.

*Note—these books should be read in order, and each does end with a slight cliff-hanger.*

Okay….

You’re on the ‘journey’ to see if you’re actually the chosen one or not…the one that would help bring back the pegasus & unicorns…saving three different realms from destruction of some sort…

So far…you’ve met more of the fae (some are nice…others you decide to throw water in their faces)…you’ve help ‘mend’ relations between the fae & at least one other group within their realm & you’ve helped rescue & return the phoenixes…

Only…

To come face to face with a siren…to learn that the demonic skaths are stealing their familiars (kelpies) in order to ‘control’ the mer population (turning them into sirens)…

Then…somehow the skaths manage to attack the fae court…

You & the others hold them off…then set off on the journey to to talk to the mer population & try to ‘team’ up to fight the demonic skath..

Are there more hiccups in the road?

Of course…if the path was smooth…you would be really worried….

What happens? Well…I can tell you that Neil did some ‘house-cleaning’…might still be a stubborn headed male…but the romance has picked up between them.

Do they find the kelpies? Can they stay ‘ahead’ of the skaths? To find out—grab a copy of Court of Water & Dust out now…

I also can’t wait for the fourth one to come out…because I need to know who showed up at the end…Again—each book does end with a ‘minor’ cliffhanger, so it is best to have read the previous books.

I dove into this book SECONDS after finishing book 2. (I usually will take a few days to get back to 'life' stuff that was dropped while I was reading, even if the next book is available, but with that ending I just had to start this one immediately!) And thankfully after a few chapters there's a calmer section, where we get to enjoy Tessa learning and practicing her magic. But don't get comfy...

That's the only breath we get as we zoom back into action, high-stakes, shifty characters, growing attraction between Tessa and Neil, and another journey. We also meet another character, and I love her addition to the team as well! (Poor Neil is getting so outnumbered by these girls, lol.)

Tessa's life is threatened again, in a unique way that had my heart burning with worry! Which brought my absolute favorite quote so far of the series, from Neil. It shouldn't be too spoilery, but feel free to skip past it if you're worried!

"I told you I would burn the world down for you," he reminds me as he holds me tighter to his chest. "I am just another part of the world."

*Cue emotional sobs*

Anyway, this was a very interesting adventure, and obviously all the longing starts to pay off! ;) Fantastic installment to the series, and I'm looking forward to book 4!.

court of water and dust by heather d. grace
★★★★☆

this third entry in the hidden courts of the fae series is fast paced and action heavy, and i had a really good time with it. the story picks up with high stakes right away and throws the characters into new dangers, new fae species, and escalating conflicts that kept the momentum strong throughout.

one of the biggest highlights is the character growth. tessa becomes more confident in her magic and her role in the fae world, and watching her step into that power is genuinely satisfying. the slow burn romance continues to build and finally starts to feel rewarding, adding emotional weight without completely overtaking the plot. the found family vibes also get stronger here, which i loved.

the worldbuilding continues to expand in interesting ways, especially with the introduction of underwater fae realms and new enemies that make the stakes feel larger than ever. there’s a lot happening, but it mostly works in the book’s favor by keeping the tension high and the pages turning.

the only reason this isn’t a full five stars for me is that the story can feel a bit overwhelming at times, with so many plot threads and action scenes packed together. still, it’s a strong installment that delivers on magic, romance, and danger. four stars and a fun, immersive read for fae fantasy fans.

Court of Water and Dust is an exciting 3rd addition to this series. I could not put it down!! The adventure is adventuring and the spice is spicing 🔥

I love the character development of Tessa. Up to this point, she's been so reliant on others who grew up with their magic and not very confident in hers, but she was much more sure of her healing abilities in this book.

Neil is starting to show book boyfriend potential! Finally!! I can't wait to see their relationship grow in the rest of the series. His little monologue to Tessa at the end...SO SWOON WORTHY.

The new creatures in this book are super cool! I'd love some of that magic kelp. It seems all types of fae are reluctant to get involved with each other, but Tessa is breaking down those discriminatory thoughts.

Im trying to keep this spoiler free, so I'll end by saying this is a fast paced, action packed series that is great for romantacy lovers. I'd also recommend to those new to romantacy since it is easy to follow and understand all the worlds and characters.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Book Three raises the stakes in every possible way. The tension that’s been simmering between the heroine and her grumpy, impossible-to-ignore guardian, Neil, finally snaps—and the payoff is everything. Their forbidden romance adds a delicious layer of danger that weaves perfectly into the escalating threat of the skáth.

The worldbuilding continues to expand in thrilling and eerie ways: new species, new magic, and a growing list of enemies that feel impossible to outrun. The author balances intimate character moments with cinematic action, making every chapter feel urgent. The skáth are darker, bolder, and far more terrifying, especially as their stolen kelpies and empowered sirens tip the scales against the fae and merfae alike.

But what truly makes this installment shine is the emotional core. The found family dynamics deepen, loyalties are tested, and the stakes—both personal and world-ending—have never felt higher. By the time I reached the final pages, I was breathless, desperate for the next book.

If you love high-stakes fantasy woven with forbidden romance, magic-laced danger, and characters you can’t stop rooting for, this third book is an absolute knockout.

Court of Water and Dust is the third book in the Hidden Courts of the Fae series written by Heather D. Grace.

💜 prophecy
💜 fae
💜 mermaids
💜 familiars
💜 🌶🌶

This book picks right up where the last book left off. We find Tessa and Healer Jo in a struggle as a siren is causing chaos. Healer Jo is trapped and Tessa has to figure out how to free her while also staying safe. Will Neil be able to make it to help in time? Once they get past this obstacle, will Tessa be able to learn more about her healing abilities? Will they be able to figure out if she is the one from the prophecy? If she is, will she be able to help defeat the skath?

This was a great addition to this series. There was so much more world building that is done in this story. We get to meet new characters and learn about them and their lives. Th group also learns how to navigate everything thrown at them better. This book does end on a cliffhanger like the other books have and I can’t wait for the next one to come out to see what happens next.

The adventure continues for Tessa in this action packed 3rd instalment of the Hidden Courts of The Fae where she learns more about her healing magic while they battle the Skath head on.
The world building in this is absolutely mind bl0wing, we see new character introduced in this journey as it continues along the prophecy, will Tessa finally grow strong enough in her abilities to heal her mum?
I cannot put into words how incredible this instalment is, it benefits the series so well!
I mean come on, battling the Sirens at the start only to team with her to then battle the Skath as the infiltrate the kingdom? Absolute perfection as always Heather 😍
But the cliffhanger 😅
We need the next book stat!

Court of Water and Dust releases December 4th 😘🖤

Simply a delight to read. The story telling is amazing and each book gets better & better. You will be on the edge of your seat while reading..

This one picks up right where book 2 ended for an amazing adventure and for Tesss to complete her mission. She comes into her chosen role amazingly well. Yes like everyone she struggles for balance first until she finds the perfect fit of both worlds. Niel, he really grows for me in this book. Accepting that not only is he Tessa's guardian but they were meant for each other as well. Will they be able to beat the skaths? Can they and the merfae get justice and come out on top? I love all the different species in this story. The merfae, leather, skath and so much more. It builds the world so much better and Im here for it. I love the magic and how it comes to life.

This book keeps you second guessing with every page about all the plot twists and what's going to happen next. The danger, the tension, the magic and even the angst of that romance that is building is everything in this book. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Book 3 in the series and the tension just keeps escalating. Politics, warfare, romance - things are ramping up and driving the narrative to......another cliffhanger! Fingernails - who needs them!

I really enjoy the way the author has crafted the bond between Tessa and Azriel. The care they show for each other is wonderful to see, and with the humour thrown in every now and then, it really is an all encompassing warm hug of a relationship (Azriel is Tessa's bonded animal companion, for anyone I've confused).

The found family element keeps getting stronger as the series progresses. I love that trope and the author has written it in a touching way by strengthening the sisterly affection between Kali and Tessa. Kali pulling Tessa up when she gets too mopey is endearing and funny. The group is growing with each book so that family vibe will continue to play a major role in the appeal of this series - hopefully.

That's a lot more action, with periods of suspense and fight scenes cropping up regularly. Towards the end of the book, in particular, Ms Grace let her imagination run wild and increased the conflict exponentially. It certainly pushed me to up my reading speed to keep up with her energy laden writing.

And finally, the romance I've been waiting for is happening. This slow burn, forbidden romance has been simmering away for nearly three books, making me want to force some reprioritisation of duty v's heart onto the MMC. And just when I thought that was the pinnacle, the author looks to be building another connection into the story. Very nice!

Congratulations to Ms Grace for another cracking story.

Heather D Grace thank you again for sharing your work with me! This was the third installment in the Hidden Courts of the Fae book series. This one is the most spiciest out of all of them.

I think what I enjoy about these books the most is that they aren’t a challenging read when it comes to the world building, it’s very gradual and easy to catch on and read. The characters are funny and very relatable. This small group has grown from being uncomfortable and out of their element with each other into a found family that will do anything to protect each other from harm.

The love aspect in the series add another layer to the story as well. We go through the emotions with Neil and Tessa, and grow with them.

I very much enjoy this series and highly recommend it for a fun and light read ❤️

I'm enjoying this series and the relationship building between the Fae Guardian and his Ward, the Chosen One. These books are slowly building the storyline, and finally, in this third book, we get somewhere with these two. Illegal? Maybe. But they'll figure it out. The spice was spicing in this one!
So far, each book introduces a new fae creature and the conflict the demonic villains are causing to that species. Each time our MMC and FMC are forced to fight the big bads, go on a rescue mission, get caught and injured, and learn more about the FMC's healing magic. I still forget sometimes that our main character is in her late 20s. She's still learning so much about her half-fae life and honing her special abilities. This book was all about the merfolk, which I loved, and I also loved that we traveled to Hawaii. It's still a very much walking across magical bridges and crossing portals type of travel, but there's so much action and emotion in between that it's not what I would call a journey book much anymore.
I'm looking forward to what comes next, and finally, in these upcoming books, finding out which prophecy our FMC will fulfill.

Another great instalment in the 'Hidden Courts of the Fae' series.

Once again, we pick up right where the previous book ends, with the gang in the healers level of the court, and Naomi and her Leath reunited.
However, there's more trouble straight away in the form of a newly emerging Siren! This continues on with new battles hiding around every corner, causing more problems. We do get to learn a bit more about Tessa and her healing powers, as well as her newfound abilities with water, which were really cool to 'see' her put into use.
The relationship between Tessa and Neil is as complicated as ever, until the second half of the book sees Neil finally making a decision about their future.
I really love reading and learning about the different characters and creatures they come across.
Ending on yet another critical action scene, it has me hoping to get my hands on book 4 soon so I can see how they cope and if everyone comes through.

I received a copy of this book as an ARC.

This series has me in a choke hold. I absolutely cannot get enough of it. I absolutely devoured this book. I am so excited to continue to read this series

This book picked up exactly where the other book left off and is packed with action. This book introduces a couple new species that all come with their own unique situations and challenges

You continue see character growth for both Tessa and Neil as they both figure out their relationship and Tessa continues to evolve her powers and learn more about herself.

The sloooow burn of this series finally ignited and did not disappoint I cannot wait to see where this relationship goes.

I cannot recommend this series enough. Book one is available now!
