The Unwanted Alliance definitely has a different feel than the first book. It jumps right into the adventure that was introduced in book one. It feels more grown up, has a lot of great action, and the story leads it down a darker path that was hinted at in the first book. Various aspects of the world are revealed, and the reader learns so much. It's fun and tense in moments. I really like the slow unveiling of Jesse and am looking forward to reading book 3 when it comes out!

My 13 year old son also read this and he said he really enjoyed it.

Wow! I thought the first book was great! But this book is next level. The adventure and action really step up in book 2. It kept me on the edge of my seat and not wanting to put the book down. And the ending??? Did not see that coming and now I can’t wait for book 3. I got to know what happens. This is a must read and anyone who has started the journey with Adeline is going to love this next book in the series.

The story opens up a mysterious parallel world where Adeline finds both peace and danger. The author portrays her “two lives” very well: an ordinary seventeen-year-old girl and a warrior undergoing intense training. The relationships between Adeline, Jesse, and Henry create a warm, family-like bond amid a perilous setting. The harsh training scenes and the lingering threat of Ralock make readers curious about her past and future. The pacing is engaging and emotional.

I loved the second installment of this series! This book is intense! Non stop action packed start to finish, but also filled with creativity and mystery. As I was reading it, I could see the scenes playing through in my head. With that being said, I look forward to seeing it on the big screen! But the real question for now is.. when does part 3 come out!?

I couldn't put this book down! The plot captures you immediately and the action doesn't stop the whole way through. Wow, what an excellent cliffhanger at the end... I hope book 3 gets released soon!
